1Cenozoic uplift of the Tibetan Plateau:Evidence from the tectonic-sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin显示文摘Geologists agree that the collision of the Indian and Asian plates caused uplift of the Tibet Plateau.However,controversy still exists regarding the modes and mechanisms of the Tibetan Plateau uplift.Geology has recorded this uplift well in the Qaidam Basin.This paper analyzes the tectonic and sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin using sub-surface seismic and drill data. The Cenozoic intensity and history of deformation in the Qaidam Basin have been reconstructed based on the tectonic developments,faults growth index,sedimentary facies variations,and the migration of the depositional depressions.The changes in the sedimentary facies show that lakes in the western Qaidam Basin had gone from inflow to still water deposition to withdrawal.Tectonic movements controlled deposition in various depressions,and the depressions gradually shifted southeastward.In addition,the morphology of the surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin shows that the Cenozoic tectonic movements controlled the evolution of the Basin and divided it into(a) the southern fault terrace zone, (b) a central Yingxiongling orogenic belt,and(c) the northern fold-thrust belt;divided by the XI fault (Youshi fault) and Youbei fault,respectively.The field data indicate that the western Qaidam Basin formed in a Cenozoic compressive tectonic environment caused by the India—Asia plate collision. Further,the Basin experienced two phases of intensive tectonic deformation.The first phase occurred during the Middle Eocene—Early Miocene(Xia Ganchaigou Fm.and Shang Ganchaigou Fm.,43.8—22 Ma),and peaked in the Early Oligocene(Upper Xia Ganchaigou Fm.,31.5 Ma).The second phase occurred between the Middle Miocene and the Present(Shang Youshashan Fm.and Qigequan Fm., 14.9—0 Ma),and was stronger than the first phase.The tectonic—sedimentary evolution and the orientation of surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin resulted from the Tibetan Plateau uplift,and recorded the periodic northward growth of the Plateau.Recognizing this early tectonic—sedimentary evolution supports the previous conclusion that northern Tibet responded to the collision between India and Asia shortly after its initiation.However,the current results reveal that northern Tibet also experienced another phase of uplift during the late Neogene.The effects of these two stages of tectonic activity combined to produce the current Tibetan Plateau.Yadong Wang Jianjing Zheng Weilin Zhang Shiyuan Li Xingwang Liu Xin Yang Yuhu Liu 2012Geoscience Frontiers2012,3,2:23

5NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF FLOW THROUGH ORIFICE ENERGY-DISSIPATORS IN XIAOLANGDI FLOOD-DISCHAR-GE TUNNEL显示文摘The cavitation of orifi ces is one of the main problems of the Xiaolangdi flood discharge tunnels. Along with the decompression experiment, the flow field was calculated in this paper by using an axis-symmetrical k-ε turbulence model. The calculated pressur e distribution was compared with the measured data and in agreement with each ot her. 6Magnetostratigraphy of the Zanda basin in southwest Tibet Plateau and its tectonic implications显示文摘The Zanda basin is one of the very important basins at the north slope of the Himalaya Range. Thus the study of the basin strata will provide critical information about the tectonic evolution of the Himalayan Orogenic Belt. 268 oriented block samples were collected in the 750-m-thick sections of the Zanda ba- sin. The characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) was isolated that decays linearly to the origin between 500oC and 690oC for most studied samples. An age range of 9.5―2.6 Ma was estimated from the correlation between our observed polarity column and the Geomagnetic Polarity Time Scale (GPTS). The age of the Zanda basin does not support the models that the South Tibetan Detach system (STDS) is one of the basin controlling faults. 7New insights on the origin of the basement of the Xisha Uplift,South China Sea显示文摘The study of basement geochronology provides crucial insights into the tectonic evolution of oceans. However, early studies on the basement of the Xisha Uplift were constrained by limited geophysical and seismic data; Xiyong1 was the only commercial borehole drilled during the 1970 s because of the huge thickness of overlying Cenozoic strata on the continental margin. Utilizing two newly-acquired basement samples from borehole XK1, we present petrological analysis and zircon uranium(U)-lead(Pb) isotope dating data in this paper that enhance our understanding of the formation and tectonic features of the Xisha Uplift basement. Results indicate that this basement is composed of Late Jurassic amphibole plagiogneisses that have an average zircon 206 Pb/238 U age of 152.9±1.7 Ma. However, the youngest age of these rocks, 137±1 Ma, also suggests that metamorphism termination within the Xisha basement occurred by the Early Cretaceous. These metamorphic rocks have adamellites underneath them which were formed by magmatic intrusions during the late stage of the Early Cretaceous(107.8±3.6 Ma). Thus, in contrast to the Precambrian age(bulk rubidium(Rb)-strontium(Sr) analysis, 627 Ma) suggested by previous work on the nearby Xiyong1 borehole, zircons from XK1 are likely the product of Late Mesozoic igneous activity. Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous regional metamorphism and granitic intrusions are not confined to Xisha; rocks have also been documented from areas including the Pearl River Mouth Basin and the Nansha Islands(Spratly Islands) and thus are likely closely related to large-scale and long-lasting subduction of the paleo-Pacific plate underneath the continental margins of East Asia, perhaps the result of closure of the Meso-Tethys in the South China Sea(SCS). Controversies remain as to whether, or not, the SCS region developed initially on a uniform Precambrian-aged metamorphic crystalline basement. 12Cartilage-targeting peptide-modified dual-drug delivery nanoplatform with NIR laser response for osteoarthritis therapy显示文摘Cartilage-targeting delivery of therapeutic agents is still an effective strategy for osteoarthritis(OA)therapy.Recently,scavenging for reactive oxygen species(ROS)and activating autophagy have been increasingly reported to treat OA effectively.In this study,we designed,for the first time,a dual-drug delivery system based on metal organic framework(MOF)-decorated mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)which composed of rapamycin(Rap)loaded into the mesopores and bilirubin(Br)loaded onto the shell of MOF.The collagen II-targeting peptide(WYRGRL)was then conjugated on the surface of above nanocarrier to develop a cartilage-targeting dual-drug delivery nanoplatform(RB@MPMW).Our results indicated the sequential release of two agents from RB@MPMW could be achieved via near-infrared(NIR)laser irritation.Briefly,the rapid release of Br from the MOF shell exhibited excellent ROS scavenging ability and anti-apoptosis effects,however responsively reduced autophagy activity,to a certain extent.Meanwhile,following the NIR irradiation,Rap was rapidly released from MPDA core and further enhanced autophagy activation and chondrocyte protection.RB@MPMW continuously phosphorylated AMPK and further rescued mitochondrial energy metabolism of chondrocytes following IL-1βstimulation via activating SIRT1-PGC-1αsignaling pathway.Additionally,the cartilage-targeting property of peptide-modified nanocarrier could be monitored via Magnetic Resonance(MR)and IVIS imaging.More significantly,RB@MPMW effectively delayed cartilage degeneration in ACLT rat model.Overall,our findings indicated that the as-prepared dual-drug delivery nanoplatform exerted potent anti-inflammation and anti-apoptotic effects,rescued energy metabolism of chondrocytes in vitro and prevented cartilage degeneration in vivo,which thereby showed positive performance for OA therapy.Song Xue Xiaojun Zhou Weilin Sang Cong Wang Haiming Lu Yiming Xu Yiming Zhong Libo Zhu Chuanglong He Jinzhong Ma 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,8:5

15Stabilizing perovskite nanocrystals by controlling protective surface ligands density显示文摘After nanocrystals synthesis,the purification process with anti-solvents is an essential step to get clean nanocrystals,which could get rid of the by-products of the synthesis.It is generally recognized that this process could bring a positive effect for the afterward optoelectronic applications.Unfortunately,we found that the optical properties and photostability of perovskite CsPbBr3 nanocrystals were unavoidably deteriorated after they were washed with anti-solvents,and this deterioration is strongly related to the decreasing of surface ligands density.Therefore,in this paper,we tried to purposely not wash the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals solution after adding didodecyl dimethylammonium bromide (DDAB),and found the existing of DDAB in solution could result in a dramatically enhanced photostability.Inspired by these results,we proposed a new strategy to stabilize perovskite nanocrystals from the view of packaging process:adding protective ligands into the perovskite nanocrystals resin directly,then encapsulating them on blue light-emitting diodes (LED) chips.Surprisingly,stable LED devices (20 mA,2.7V) were achieved by this way,which can keep 80% of the initial photoluminescence (PL) intensity for more than 50 h,while the devices with CsPbBr3 nanocrystals without adding protective ligands into resin dropped to 50% of their initial PL intensity within 6 h.This approach offers a new thought to stabilize perovskite nanocrystals as down-conversion phosphor in quantum dots liquid crystal display.Weilin Zheng Zhichun Li Congyang Zhang Bo Wang Qinggang Zhang Qun Wan Long Kong Liang Li 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:4

17Quality Control and Evaluation of the Observed Daily Data in the North American Soil Moisture Database显示文摘The North American Soil Moisture Database (NASMD) was initiated in 2011 to assemble and homogenize in situ soil moisture measurements from 32 observational networks in the United States and Canada encompassing more than 1800 stations. Although statistical quality control (QC) procedures have been applied in the NASMD, the soil moisture content tends to be systematically underestimated by in situ sensors in frozen soils, and using a single maximum threshold (i.e., 0.6 m3 m-3) may not be sufficient for robust QC because of the diverse soil textures in North America. In this study, based on the in situ soil porosity and North American Land Data Assimilation System phase 2 (NLDAS-2) Noah soil temperature, the simple automated QC method is revised to supplement the existing QC approach. This revised QC method is first validated based on the assessment at 78 of the Soil Climate Analysis Network (SCAN) stations where the manually checked data are available, and is then applied to all stations in the NASMD to produce a more strict quality-controlled dataset. The results show that the revised automated QC procedure can flag the spurious and erroneous soil moisture measurements for the SCAN stations, especially for those located in high altitudes and latitudes. Relative to station measurements in the original NASMD, the quality-controlled data show a slightly better agreement with the manually checked soil moisture content. It should be noted that this quality-controlled dataset may be over-flagged for some valid soil moisture measurements due to potential errors of the soil temperature and soil porosity data, and validation in this study is limited by the availability of benchmark soil moisture data.
