2Feeding of Riptortus pedestris on soybean plants, the primary cause of soybean staygreen syndrome in the Huang-Huai-Hai river basin显示文摘Staygreen syndrome or Zhengqing in soybean has recently become a major issue for Chinese growers in the Huang-Huai-Hai river basin.Although previous studies revealed that staygreen can be induced when pods/seeds are damaged, it is unknown whether virus infection or insect infestation causes staygreen.To determine whether viral infection causes staygreen, a survey of soybean staygreen incidence in the Huang-Huai-Hai river basin was conducted in 2016 and 2017.Diseased samples were collected and analyzed using DAS-ELISA for Soybean mosaic virus, Watermelon mosaic virus, Bean pod mottle virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, and Bean common mosaic virus.The survey showed that the severity of soybean staygreen syndrome was most prevalent in Beijing, Henan, Shaanxi, and some parts of Shandong provinces, with yield losses from 0 to nearly 100%, but only a small fraction of samples were positive for the tested viruses.A field cage experiment and an insecticide treatment field trial were conducted to determine the contribution of the bean bug, Riptortus pedestris, to staygreen incidence.The field cage experiment showed that R.pedestris treatment resulted in shorter plants, more empty pods, increased numbers of abnormal seeds, and decreased yields.The field experiment showed that there were fewer R.pedestris and less soybean staygreen incidence in fields treated with insecticide than in untreated control fields.Together, these results suggest that R.pedestris infestation rather than virus infection induces staygreen syndrome and that growers in this region can mitigate staygreen syndrome via bean bug control.Kai Li Xinxin Zhang Jianqiu Guo Hannah Penn Tingting Wu Lin Li Hong Jiang Lidan Chang Cunxiang Wu Tianfu Han 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,3:30
3Physiological and molecular studies of staygreen caused by pod removal and seed injury in soybean显示文摘Leaves provide substances and signals for pod and seed development in soybean.However,the regulatory feedbacks of pod and seed to leaf development remain unclear.We investigated the effects of pod and seed on leaf senescence by conducting pod removal and seed injury experiments.Pod removal and seed injury delayed leaf senescence and caused the staygreen phenotype of leaves.There were dosage effects of pod number on the extent of staygreen in depodded plants.The concentrations of chlorophyll(SPAD value,an index of relative chlorophyll content),soluble protein,and soluble sugar in the leaves of depodded plants were higher than those of intact plants.During seed development,the content of IAA decreased,while that of ABA increased.This trend was more pronounced in intact than in depodded and seed-injured plants.The GA3/ABA ratio decreased gradually in all treatments.The content of GA3 was relatively stable and was higher in intact than in depodded plants.The expression levels of four senescence-related genes,Gm SARK,Gm SGR1,Gm CYN1,and Gm NAC,declined in depodded or seed-injured treatments and were positively correlated with the number of leaves retained on plants.Gm FT2 a,the major flowering-promoting gene,was expressed at a higher level while E1,a key flowering inhibitory gene,was expressed at a lower level in depodded than in intact plants.We propose that the pod or seed can regulate leaf development.When the seed is aborted owing to disease infection or pest attack,the leaves stay green because of the absence of the seed signals for senescence.Xinxin Zhang Min Wang Tingting Wu Cunxiang Wu Bingjun Jiang Changhong Guo Tianfu Han 2016The Crop Journal2016,4,6:23
4Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine preparations in patients with chronic heart failure:a prospective,single-blind,randomized,controlled,and multicenter clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) of Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) preparations.METHODS: This prospective, single-blind, randomized, controlled, and multicenter clinical trial began on September 17, 2008, and was completed on June 25, 2011. A total of 340 inpatients, aged 40-79 years, with exacerbating CHF from 10 hospitals were enrolled and randomly allocated within 24 h of admission. The trial included three intervention periods. During hospitalization, the control group received western medication for CHF and the treatment group received Danhong injection with Shenfu injection or Shenmai injection. After discharge,all patients were treated with Qiliqiangxin capsules and Buyiqiangxin tablets or a placebo for 6 months. After the 6-month intervention, both groups received only continuous western medication. The primary endpoint was all-cause mortality.The efficacy assessments were as follows: B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), Lee's HF score, the 6-minute walking test(6 MWT), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ). The safety assessments were as follows: blood and urine routine examination, hepatic and renal function, electrolytes in blood and adverse events.RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the treatment group showed a 30.99% reduction in all-cause mortality and an improved survival rate.The treatment group showed greater improvement in 6 MWT(P = 0.02) than the control group on discharge, after 12-month follow-up, there was a time-group interaction for MLHFQ(P = 0.03). 6Expression of human cytomegalovirus components in the brain tissues of patients with Rasmussen's encephalitis显示文摘Rasmussen's encephalitis(RE) is a rare and severe progressive epileptic syndrome with unknown etiology. Infection by viruses, including human cytomegalovirus(HCMV), has been speculated to be a potential trigger for RE. However, no viral antigens have been detected in the brains of patients with RE; thus, a possible clinical linkage between viral infections and RE has not been firmly established. In this study, we evaluated the expression of HCMV pp65 antigen in brain sections from 26 patients with RE and 20 non-RE patients by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, and assessed the associations between HCMV infection and clinical parameters.Elevated expression of HCMV pp65 protein and DNA was observed in 88.5%(23/26) and 69.2%(18/26) of RE cases, respectively. In the non-RE group, HCMV pp65 antigen was detected only in two cases(10%), both of which were negative for DNA staining. Additionally, the intensity of HCMV pp65 staining was correlated with a shorter duration of the prodromal stage, younger age of seizure onset, and more severe unilateral cortical atrophy. Elevated expression of HCMV pp65 was observed in RE brain tissue and was correlated with the clinical features of RE disease. In summary, our results suggested that HCMV infection may be involved in the occurrence and progression of RE disease. 7Potential and Suitability Evaluation of CO_2 Geological Storage in Major Sedimentary Basins of China,and the Demonstration Project in Ordos Basin显示文摘From 2010 to 2012, the China Geological Survey Center for Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology Survey(CHEGS) carried out the project 'Potential evaluation and demonstration project of CO2 Geological Storage in China'. During this project, we developed an evaluation index system and technical methods for the potential and suitability of CO2 geological storage based on China's geological conditions, and evaluated the potential and suitability of the primary basins for CO2 geological storage, in order to draw a series of regional scale maps(at a scale of 1:5000000) and develop an atlas of the main sedimentary basins in China. By using these tools, we delineated many potential targets for CO2 storage. We also built techniques and methods for site selection and the exploration and assessment of CO2 geological storage in deep saline aquifers. 8Clinical Analysis of Early Noninvasive Mechanical Ventilation in the Treatment of Acute Left Heart Failure Complicated with Respiratory Failure显示文摘Objective To evaluate the efficacy of early and non-early non-invasive mechanical ventilation(NIV) for acute left heart failure and respiratory failure. Methods 29 cases of patients with acute left heart failure and respiratory failure treated by NIV were selected from our department from August 2016 to March 2019. According to the time of initiation of noninvasive mechanical ventilation, the patients were divided into the early treatment group(group A, treatment with NIV immediately after admission, n=15) and the non-early treatment group(group B, treatment with NIV for 2 h after admission, n=14), the improvement time, mechanical ventilation time, effective rate, intubation rate and fatality rate were compared between the two groups. Results The improvement time of patients in group A was(4.8±2.5) hours, the time of mechanical ventilation was(9.6±3.2) hours, the improvement time of group B was(6.8±2.6) hours, and the time of mechanical ventilation(12.8±4.4) hours. There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). In group A, 13 patients were cured, 2 patients were intubated, 1 patient died, 10 patients in group B were cured, 4 patients were intubated, and 2 patients died. The difference in cure rate, intubation rate and mortality was statistically significant(P<0.05). 9Vortex random fiber laser with controllable orbital angular momentum mode显示文摘In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a vortex random fiber laser(RFL) with a controllable orbital angular momentum(OAM) mode. The topological charge of the vortex RFL can range from-50 to 50 with nearly watt-level output power. A triangular toroidal interferometer is constructed to verify the spiral phase structure of the generated vortex random laser with a special coherence property. Vortex RFLs with fractional topological charge are also performed in this work. 11Tenofovir vs.entecavir on recurrence of hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma beyond Milan criteria after hepatectomy显示文摘Background:Hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)beyond the Milan criteria is shown to be beneficial.However,a high rate of post-operative HCC recurrence hinders the long-term survival of the patients.This study aimed to investigate and compare the impacts of tenofovir(TDF)and entecavir(ETV)on the recurrence of hepatitis B viral(HBV)-related HCC beyond the Milan criteria.Methods:Data pertaining to 1532 patients who underwent hepatectomy and received antiviral therapy between January 2014 and January 2019 were collected from five centers.Recurrence-free survival(RFS)analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method.Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to determine prognostic factors for HCC recurrence.Results:The analysis incorporates 595 HBV-related HCC patients.The overall 5-year RFS was 21.3%.Among them,533 and 62 patients received ETV and TDF treatment,respectively.The 1-,3-,and 5-year RFS rates were 46.3%,27.4%,and 19.6%,respectively,in the ETV group compared with 65.1%,41.8%,and 37.2%,respectively,in the TDF group(P<0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that TDF treatment(hazard ratio[HR]:0.604,P=0.005),cirrhosis(HR:1.557,P=0.004),tumor size(HR:1.037,P=0.008),microvascular invasion(MVI)(HR:1.403,P=0.002),portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT)(HR:1.358,P=0.012),capsular invasion(HR:1.228,P=0.040),and creatinine levels(CREA)(HR:0.993,P=0.031)were statistically significant prognostic factors associated with RFS.Conclusions:Patients with HCC beyond the Milan criteria exhibited a high rate of HCC recurrence after hepatectomy.Compared to the ETV therapy,TDF administration significantly lowered the risk of HCC recurrence.Junyi Shen Weili Qi Junlong Dai Shusheng Leng Kangyi Jiang Yu Zhang Shun Ran Chuan Li Tianfu Wen 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,3:3
12Large electrocaloric effect in BaTiO_3 based multilayer ceramic capacitors显示文摘The electrocaloric effect(ECE) of multilayer ceramic capacitor(MLCC) of Y5 V type was directly measured via a differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) method and a reference resistor was used to calibrate the heat flow due to the heat dissipation. The results are compared with those calculated from Maxwell relations by using the polarization data obtained from the polarization–electric field hysteresis loops. The direct method shows a larger ECE temperature change, which is accounted for the situation approaches an ideal condition. For the indirect method using Maxwell relations, only the polarization projection along the electric field was taken into account, which will be less than the randomly distributed real polarizations that contribute to the ECE. 13Ultralow-quantum-defect Raman laser based on the boson peak in phosphosilicate fiber显示文摘Quantum defects(QDs)have always been a key factor of the thermal effect in high-power fiber lasers.Much research on low-QD fiber lasers has been reported in the past decades,but most of it is based on active fibers.Besides,Raman fiber lasers based on the stimulated Raman scattering effect in passive fiber are also becoming an important kind of high-power fiber laser for their unique advantages,such as their significantly broader wavelength-tuning range and being free of photon darkening.In this paper,we demonstrate an ultralow-QD Raman fiber laser based on phosphosilicate fiber.There is a strong boson peak located at a frequency shift of 3.65 THz in the Raman gain spectrum of the phosphosilicate fiber we employed.By utilizing this boson peak to provide Raman gain and adopting an amplified spontaneous emission source at 1066 nm as the pump source,1080 nm Stokes light is generated,corresponding to a QD of 1.3%.The spectral purity at 1080 nm can be up to 96.03%,and the output power is 12.5 W,corresponding to a conversion efficiency of 67.2%.Moreover,by increasing the pump wavelength to 1072 nm,the QD is reduced to 0.74%,and the output power at 1080 nm is 10.7 W,with a spectral purity of 82.82%.To the best of our knowledge,this is the lowest QD ever reported for Raman fiber lasers.This work proposes a promising way of achieving high-power,high-efficiency Raman fiber lasers.Yang Zhang Jiangming Xu Jun Ye Jiaxin Song Tianfu Yao Pu Zhou 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:2
14Fabrication and thermal decomposition of glycidyl azide polymer modified nitrocellulose double base propellants显示文摘Glycidyl azide polymer(GAP) with the advantages of non-volatility and excellent thermal stability is a candidate as a replacement for nitroglycerine(NG) in a double base propellant. The GAP-NC double base propellants were formulated with GAP and nitrocellulose(NC) fibers. Tensile test and SEM characterization indicated that GAP-NC propellants had a homogeneous structure. Thermogravimetric analysis of GAP-NC propellants revealed that the onset decomposition temperature reached a high level ranging from 192.9 to 194.6 °C, which indicated that the substitution of NG with GAP contributed to the safe storage and process operations for double base propellant. The result analysis of decomposition products of GAP-NC propellants showed that the main gas decomposition products of the propellants were NO, NO_2, CO, CO_2, NH_3, CH_4, HCN, N_2, CH_2O and C_2H_4O. 15Use of donor-specific red blood cell transfusions for patients undergoing liver transplantation during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Background:Increased risks have been found for patients undergoing liver transplantation due to the blood supply shortage following the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.Hence,exploring a method to alleviate this dilemma is urgent.This phase I,nonrandomized,prospective trial aimed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of using donor-specific red blood cell transfusion(DRBCT)as an urgent measurement to alleviate the blood supply shortage in deceased donor liver transplantation(DDLT).Methods:The outcomes of 26 patients who received DRBCT and 37 patients in the control group who only received 3rd party packed red blood cells(pRBCs)transfusion between May 2020 and January 2021 were compared.Results:Patients receiving DRBCT did not develop transfusion-related complications,and the incidence of postoperative infection was similar to that in the control group(23.1%vs.18.9%,P=0.688).Because the patients received the red blood cells from organ donors,the median volume of intraoperative allogeneic red blood cell transfusion from blood bank was 4.0 U(IQR 1.1-8.0 U)in the DRBCT group,which is significantly lower than that(7.5 U,IQR 4.0-10.0 U)in the control group(P=0.018).The peak aspartate aminotransferase(AST)level was significantly lower in the DRBCT group than in the control group(P=0.008)and so were the AST levels in the first two days after the operation(P=0.006 and P=0.033).Conclusions:DRBCT is a safe and effective procedure to lower the need for blood supply and is associated with a reduction in AST levels after transplantation.DRBCT is beneficial to patients receiving life-saving transplantation without sufficient blood supply during the COVID-19 pandemic.Tao Lv Xi Xu Jiulin Song Yifei Tan Li Jiang Jian Yang Diao He Lingxiang Kong Weiyi Zhang Panyu Chen Qiwen Xiang Tao Zhu Hong Wu Tianfu Wen Jiayin Yang 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4:2

17Revealing the dynamics of intensity fluctuation transfer in a random Raman fiber laser显示文摘Temporal intensity fluctuation is one of the inherent features of fiber lasers.When utilizing the fiber lasers to pump a random Raman fiber laser(RRFL),the intensity fluctuation transfer from the pump to the random lasing could affect the output performance significantly.In this paper,we comprehensively compared the spectral,temporal,and power characteristics of an RRFL pumped by two different fiber lasers—a temporally unstable fiber oscillator and a temporally stable amplified spontaneous emission(ASE)source.Owing to less impact of the intensity fluctuation transfer,the ASE source-pumped RRFL shows∼45.3%higher maximum output power,higher spectral purity(>99.9%)and optical signal-to-noise ratio(>40dB),weaker spectral broadening,and more stable temporal behavior compared to the fiber oscillator-pumped RRFL.Furthermore,based on the temporal-spatial-coupled Raman equations and the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equations,we numerically revealed the impact of the pump intensity fluctuations on the output characteristics of RRFLs,and found that the temporal walk-off effect played an important role in the dynamics of intensity fluctuation transfer.This work may provide a reference for designing and implementing high-performance RRFLs and promote their practicability in sensing,telecommunications,and high-power applications.Jun Ye Xiaoya Ma Yang Zhang Jiangming Xu Hanwei Zhang Tianfu Yao Jinyong Leng Pu Zhou 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:1
