3Cloning of a gene-edited macaque monkey by somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Cloning of macaque monkeys by somatic cell nucleus transfer(SCNT) allows the generation of monkeys with uniform genetic backgrounds that are useful for the development of non-human primate models of human diseases. Here, we report the feasibility of this approach by SCNT of fibroblasts from a macaque monkey(Macaca fascicularis), in which a core circadian transcription factor BMAL1 was knocked out by clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/Cas9 gene editing(see accompanying paper).Out of 325 SCNT embryos transferred into 65 surrogate monkeys, we cloned five macaque monkeys with BMAL1 mutations in both alleles without mosaicism, with nuclear genes identical to that of the fibroblast donor monkey. Further peripheral blood m RNA analysis confirmed the complete absence of the wild-type BMAL1 transcript. 5Experiment Study of the Evolution of Coral Sand Particle Clouds in Water显示文摘The motion of particle clouds(i.e.,sediment clouds)usually can be found in engineering applications such as wastewater discharge,land reclamation,and marine bed capping.In this paper,a series of laboratory tests are conducted on coral sand to investigate the shape feature of the single particle and the mixing processes of the coral sand particle clouds.The shape of coral sand particle is measured and quantified.The experimental results demonstrate that the shape of coral sand particles tends to be spherical as the particle size decreases,and empirical equations were established to explain the variation of D50 and fS,50 of coral sand.Compared with the silica sand,the evolution of the coral sand particle cloud still experiences three stages,but the threshold for the Reynolds number of particle clouds entering the next stage changes.Further,the normalized axial distance of the coral sand particle clouds is 58%smaller.The frontal velocity exhibits similar varying tendency for the coral sand particle cloud.Considering the difference in shape between coral sand particles and silica sand particles,a semi-empirical formula was proposed based on the original silica sand prediction formula by adding the shape factor and the experimental data of 122μm≤D_(50)≤842μm.It can predict the frontal velocity of the coral sand particle clouds.CHEN Jie YAO Zhen JIANG Chang-bo WU Zhi-yuan DENG Bin LONG Yuan-nan BIAN Cheng 2022China Ocean Engineering2022,36,5:2

11Steroid receptor coactivator-1:The central intermediator linking multiple signals and functions in the brain and spinal cord显示文摘The effects of steroid hormones are believed to be mediated by their nuclear receptors(NRs).The p160 coactivator family,including steroid receptor coactivator-1(SRC-1),2 and 3,has been shown to physically interact with NRs to enhance their transactivational activities.Among which SRC-1 has been predominantly localized in the central nervous system including brain and spinal cord.It is not only localized in neurons but also detectable in neuroglial cells(mainly localized in the nuclei but also detectable in the extra-nuclear components).Although the expression of SRC-1 is regulated by many steroids,it is also regulated by some non-steroidal factors such as injury,sound and light.Functionally,SRC-1 has been implied in normal function such as development and ageing,learning and memory,central regulation on reproductive behaviors,motor and food intake.Pathologically,SRC-1 may play a role in the regulation of neuropsychiatric disorders(including stress,depression,anxiety,and autism spectrum disorder),metabolite homeostasis and obesity as well as tumorigenesis.Under most conditions,the related mechanisms are far from elucidation;although it may regulate spatial memory through Rictor/mTORC2-actin polymerization related synaptic plasticity.Several inhibitors and stimulator of SRC-1 have shown anti-cancer potentials,but whether these small molecules could be used to modulate ageing and central disorder related neuropathology remain unclear.Therefore,to elucidate when and how SRC-1 is turned on and off under different stimuli is very interesting and great challenge for neuroscientists.Zhaoyou Meng Xiaoya Wang Dongmei Zhang Zhen Lan Xiaoxia Cai Chen Bian Jiqiang Zhang 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,5:1

13A Robust Reserve Scheduling Method Considering Asymmetrical Wind Power Distribution显示文摘Nowadays, limited predictability and controllability of wind power are regarded as some bottlenecks to wind generation integration with the power system. This paper introduces a robust reserve scheduling method, where the spinning reserve allocation among conventional units is considered as well.The method applies to asymmetrical wind power distribution,and offers control on the degree of solution's conservatism by changing the robustness budget. Meanwhile, distributional information of wind power is represented by mean value and asymmetrical bounds. Furthermore, the model is converted into a deterministic programming problem with dual theory. 16AgPdCo hollow nanospheres electrocatalyst with high activity and stability toward the formate electrooxidation显示文摘The widespread commercial application of direct formate fuel cell(DFFC)is limited by the lack of efficient electrocatalysts for the formate oxidation reaction(FOR).AgPdCo hollow nanospheres(H-NSs)with jagged surfaces are successfully synthesized via a facile method involving the wet-chemical synthesis of AgPdCo nanospheres(NSs)and galvanic replacement reaction between Pd salt and AgPdCo NSs.Surpassing Ag_(30)Pd_(69)Co_(1) NSs and most of previously reported electrocatalysts,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs exhibit extremely high FOR activity with a peak current density of 3.08 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1).Apart from the competitive activity,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs show greatly improved chronoamperometric and cycling stability,whereby the current density retains about 0.24 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1) after 3,600 s electrocatalysis and the mass activity maintains 54.06%of the initial value after 500 cycles.The unique hollow nanosphere and synergistic effect are responsible for the enhanced activity and stability.This study will provide new clues for the development of outstanding electrocatalysts.Qiao Wang Fuyi Chen Quan Tang Longfei Guo Tao Jin Bowei Pan Junpeng Wang Zhen Li Bo Kou Weiqi Bian 2021Nano Research2021,14,7:1
