1Hierarchical graphene@MXene composite foam modified with flower-shaped FeS for efficient and broadband electromagnetic absorption显示文摘Developing high-performance broadband microwave absorption material becomes an urgent concern in the field of electromagnetic protection.In this work,an ultralight magnetic composite foam was con-structed by electrostatic self-assembly of MXene on the surface of graphene skeletons,and subsequent hydrothermal anchoring of flower-shaped FeS clusters.Under the synergistic effect of MXene coating in-creasing conductive loss and FeS clusters improving magnetic loss,the rational construction of hierarchi-cal impedance structure in foam can effectively promote the entrance and consumption of more incident electromagnetic waves.The minimum reflection loss(RL min)reaches-47.17 dB at a thickness of 4.78 mm,and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is up to 6.15 GHz.More importantly,the microwave absorption performance of composite foam can be further optimized by controlling the load-ing of MXene and thermal treatment at a low temperature.The maximum of EAB for GMF-300 can be extended to an unprecedented value of 11.20 GHz(covering 6.10-17.30 GHz).Shuangshuang Li Xinwei Tang Xu Zhao Shijie Lu Jiangtao Luo Zheyuan Chai Tiantian Ma Qianqian Lan Piming Ma Weifu Dong Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2:4

3Monitoring micro-structural evolution during aluminum sintering and understanding the sintering mechanism of aluminum nanoparticles:A molecular dynamics study显示文摘In this work, molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to explore the structural evolution and underlying sintering mechanism of aluminum nanoparticles. The structural evolution during sintering was firstly monitored through radial distribution function and atomic migration, and the underlying sintering mechanism was further quantitatively characterized in terms of average displacement, mean squared distance(MSD), radius ratio(i.e., the ratio of the neck radius to the particle radius), shrinkage and radius of gyration, crystalline orientations, particle size, etc. Results show that the surface atoms of nanoparticles are more active than the internal atoms, favoring the mechanical rotation of nanoparticles during sintering. During the sintering process, average displacement, radius ratio and the shrinkage rate have undergone three stages with increasing the temperature:(1) a slow increase and subsequent abrupt hike after reaching the sintering temperature;(2) an almost plateau region over a wide span of temperature;(3) finally a sharp increase again after reaching the melting temperature. In contrast, MSD remains basically unchanged before melting, close to zero, followed by a sudden increase after melting temperature. Although the radius of gyration also experiences three stages, nonetheless it exhibits almost completely contrary trend. It has also been found that both sintering temperature and melting temperature demonstrate an almost linear increase with the increase of nanoparticle size ranging from4.0, 6.0, 8.0 to 10.0 nm in diameter. 4A family net of giant pandas in the Tangjiahe Natural Reserve:Assessment of current individual migration显示文摘In the present study, formalin-fixed feces, oli-gonucleotide fingerprinting and SRY-gene based sexing were used to construct a family net for giant pandas in the Tang-jiahe Natural Reserve and to assess contemporary gene flow (migration) in this population. A total of 124 fecal samples were attributed to 37 individuals (22 females and 15 males) that were then analyzed for family relationships. Based on DNA fingerprints, the deduced family net revealed the fol-lowing facts: (i) First-order relatives possessed similarities from 50% to 90%, and similarities between unrelated indi-viduals or distant relatives were as high as 77%, indicating that the Tangjiahe pandas are characterized by high genetic similarity; (ii) 15 matings were identified and 5 ones oc-curred between close relatives, implying that there is poten-tial for inbreeding to impact the pandas; (iii) four mating pairs and 5 offspring presented long distance migrations, demonstrating the intra-reserve habitat is continuous; (iv) four pairs of full sibs (also female-male dyads) dispersed short distance and all of them gave birth to highly inbred offspring, reflecting long distance migration is vital for in-breeding avoidance; (v) 17 adult individuals dispersed short or moderate distance and formed three clusters on the land-scape, indicating that it is necessary to find out whether there is a negative factor impacting the pandas.WAN Qiuhong FANG Shengguo LI Jianguo ZHANG Liming OU Weifu XIAN Fanghai CHEN Wanli 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,17:3
5Ultralight and ordered lamellar polyimide-based graphene foams with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption显示文摘The development of high-performance microwave absorption materials with strong absorption capacity and broad bandwidth is highly desirable in the field of electromagnetic pollution protection.Herein,ultralight polyimide-based graphene foam with ordered lamellar structure is precisely designed and controllably constructed by bidirectional freezing process.More lamellar interfaces formed inside the foam per unit volume effectively facilitate the layer-by-layer dissipation for the vertical incident electromagnetic waves,thereby endowing the foam with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption performance.More importantly,electromagnetic absorption performance can be controllably adjusted by optimizing impedance distribution and microstructure of skeletons.As a result,the optimized foam with an ultralow density of 9.10 mg/cm^(3)presents a minimum reflection loss value of-61.29 dB at 9.25 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.51 GHz(7.06-12.57 GHz,covering the whole X band) when the thickness is 4.75 mm.Yawei Zhang Shuangshuang Li Xinwei Tang Wei Fan Qianqian Lan Le Li Piming Ma Weifu Dong Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:3
6Stereocompfexed Poiy(iactide) Composites toward Engineering Plastics with Superior Toughness, Heat Resistance and Anti-hydrolysis显示文摘Polyl(lactide),PLA,suffers from bitleness and low heat deflection temperature(HDT),which limits its application as an engineering plastic.In this work,poly(L-lactide)/poly(D-lactide)/ethylene-vinyl acetate glycidyl methacrylate random copolymer(PLLA/PDL A/EVM-GMA=1/1/x)composites were prepared by melt blending,and the in situ formed EVM-g PLA copolymers improved the compatibility between PLA and EVM-GMA.Subsequently,the blends were subjected to a two-step annealing process during compression molding,i.e.first annealing at 120℃ to rapidly form a certain amount of stereocomplex(sc)crystallites as nucleation sites,and then annealing at 200℃ to guide the formation of new sccrystallites.Both differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and wide angle X-ray dffrction(WAXD)measurements confirmed the formation of highly stereocomplexed PLA products.Mechanical results showed that the PLLA/PDLA blend with 20 wt%of EVM-GMA had a notched impact strength up to 65 kJ/m2 and an elongation at break of 48%,while maintaining a tensile strength of 40 MPa.Meanwhile,dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)and heat deflection tests showed that the PLA composite had an HDT up to 142℃ which is 90℃ higher than that of normal PLA products.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)confirmed the fine dispersion of EVM-GMA particles,which facilitated to understand the toughening mechanism.Furthermore,the highly stereocomplexed PLA composites simultaneously exhibited excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance.Therefore,these fascinating properties may extend the application range of sc PLA material as an engineering bioplastic.Bao-Gou Wu WeiJun Yang De-Yu Niu WeiFu Pong Ming-Qing Chen Tian-Xi Liu Ming-Liang Du Pi-Ming Ma 2020Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2020,38,10:3
7Three-Dimensional Normal Stress for Controlling Electronic Structure and Magnetic Property of Fe2Ge显示文摘A system study of the three-dimensional normal stress for regulating electronic structure and magnetic property of Fe_2Ge is studied. The density states of Fe more than 92% contribution come from Fe 3d,the density states of Ge mainly contributed from Ge 4p and Ge 4s,and the Fe 3d spin induces the Ge 4p electron transfer. The inductive effect increases germanium electron energy,weakens the Fe spin density of states,opposes the stability of the ferromagnetic state. The magnetic moment varies from 5 to 3 μB with the stress charges from-30 to 30 GPa. The charge of Fe is negative whereas the Ge atom is positively charged,the Fe atom loses charge,the charge transfers to the Ge atom. The unevenly distributed charge forms the newoccupy state and spin polarization state in the Fe_2Ge electron structure system. The Fe is the electron donor,the total electron is transferred to Ge,but the total numbers of gain electron and total numbers of lost electron are not equal,so the Fe_2Ge electron system may have hybridization between the Fe 3d state and Ge 4p state.The magnetic of Fe_2Ge mainly comes from the unoccupied Fe 3d orbital,the Fe 3d is positive spinpolarization state and the spin-polarization strength is decreased,the Ge 4p is negative spin-polarization state and the spin-polarization strength are increased. 8New discrete element models for elastoplastic problems显示文摘The discrete element method (DEM) has attractivefeatures for problems with severe damages, but lack oftheoretical basis for continua behavior especially for nonlinearbehavior has seriously restricted its application.The present study proposes a new approach to developingthe DEM as a general and robust technique for modeling theelastoplastic behavior of solid materials. New types of connectivelinks between elements are proposed, the inter-elementparameters are theoretically determined based onthe principle of energy equivalence and a yield criterion anda flow rule for DEM are given for describing nonlinear behaviorof materials. Moreover, a numerical scheme, which canbe applied to modeling the behavior of a continuum as wellas the transformation from a continuum to a discontinuum,is obtained by introducing a fracture criterion and a contactmodel into the DEM. 9First Principle Calculation of Electromagnetic Mechanism for Fe_2Si Bulk Material显示文摘The electronic structure and the magnetic properties of Fe_2Si bulk have been calculated by the first-principle density function theory method. The band structure shows that the hexagonal Fe^2 Si bulk is ferromagnetic which is a metal structure under spin-up, and a semiconductor with the band gap of 0.518 eV under spin-down. The density of states shows the Fe^1 3d–spin and Fe^3 3d–spin in the electronic system are the main factors that is the source of the ferromagnetic properties of Fe_2Si bulk. The electronic structure Si-ions is 3s23p6 and that of Fe-ions is e_g^2↑e_g^(*1)↓t_(2g)~3↑. The molecular magnetic moment of Fe_2Si is 2.00 μB. The potential diagram of Fe_2Si bulk shows the formation of covalent and ionic bonds between the Fe atom and the Si atom, it leads to the center charge of Fe is polarized and off center position. These special properties of Fe_2Si bulk are mainly caused by d-d exchange and p-d hybridization.
