12D materials via liquid exfoliation:a review on fabrication and applications显示文摘Since graphene was discovered, the study of two-dimensional(2D) materials with atomic thickness has become a hot spot. To prepare different 2D materials,different methods have been groped, such as mechanical exfoliation, chemical vapor deposition(CVD), liquid-phase exfoliation. This review mainly introduced the sonication liquid-phase exfoliation, an effective method to prepare 2D materials. Compared with mechanical exfoliation and CVD methods, liquid-phase exfoliation is convenient and costeffective and provides high yield. We focused on both theoretical and experimental details of this method. 2Domain structure and defects of highly ordered Bi_4Si_3O_(12) micro-crystals显示文摘Highly ordered Bi4Si3O12 micro-crystals were prepared at normal atmosphere. Phase identification of the prepared crystals was accomplished by X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Domain structure and defects were characterized by environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM). XRD shows that the obtained micro-crystals are of eulytite structure with chemical formulation of Bi4Si3O12. A highly ordered growth pattern is confirmed due to the faster growth of the {124} faces than that of the {204} faces by ESEM. The growing process of the domain structure is of pollen parent and filial generation pattern. The filial generations of Bi4Si3O12 crystals are generated from the pollen parent. Cracks generate from the defect areas and propagate along the {124} faces due to their lower binding energy under a proper temperature gradient, contributing to the total transcrystalline fracture. It is confirmed that the generation and development of the voids in the crystal grains can be developed when unmatched dimensions of the two opposite faces are formed. 3Transplantation of human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells to treat a rat model of traumatic brain injury显示文摘In the present study, human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells were injected into a rat model of traumatic brain injury via the tail vein. Results showed that 5-bromodeoxyuridine-labeled cells aggregated around the injury site, surviving up to 4 weeks post-transplantation. In addition, transplantation-related death did not occur, and neurological functions significantly improved. Histological detection revealed attenuated pathological injury in rat brain tissues following human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cell transplantation. In addition, the number of apoptotic cells decreased. Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization showed increased expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, nerve growth factor, basic fibroblast growth factor, and vascular endothelial growth factor, along with increased microvessel density in surrounding areas of brain injury. 5COP9 signalosome subunit PfCsnE regulates secondary metabolism and conidial formation in Pestalotiopsis fici显示文摘The COP9 signalosome(CSN) is a highly conserved multiprotein complex in all eukaryotes and involved in regulation of organism development. In filamentous fungi, several lines of evidence indicate that fungal development and secondary metabolism(SM) are mediated by the fifth subunit of CSN, called CsnE. Here we uncover a connection with CsnE and conidial formation as well as SM regulation in the plant endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis fici. A homology search of the P. fici genome with CsnE, involved in sexual development and SM in Aspergillus nidulans, identified PfCsnE. Deletion of PfcsnE resulted in a mutant that stopped conidial production, but the conidia are recovered in a PfcsnE complemented strain. This indicates that PfCsnE is required for the formation of conidia. Secondary metabolite analysis demonstrated that the ΔPfcsnE strain produced more chloroisosulochrin, less ficiolide A production in comparison to wild type(WT). Transcriptome analysis of WT andΔPfcsnE strains indicated that PfcsnE impacts the expression levels of 8.37% of 14,797 annotated genes. Specifically, nine biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs) were up-regulated and three BGCs were down-regulated by PfCsnE. 6Bioinformatics analysis for structure and function of CPR of Plasmodium falciparum显示文摘Objective:To analyse the structure and function of NADPH-cytochrome p450 reductase(CYPOR or CPR) from Plasmodium falciparum(Pf),and to predict its’ drug target and vaccine target. Methods:The structure,function,drug target and vaccine target of CPR from Plasmodium falciparum were analyzed and predicted by bioinformatics methods.Results:PfCPR,which was older CPR,had close relationship with the CPR from other Plasmodium species,but it was distant from its hosts,such as Homo sapiens and Anopheles.PfCPR was located in the cellular nucleus of Plasmodium falciparum.335aa-352aa and 591aa - 608aa were inserted the interior side of the nuclear membrane,while 151aa-265aa was located in the nucleolus organizer regions.PfCPR had 40 function sites and 44 protein-protein binding sites in amino acid sequence.The teriary structure of laa-700aa was forcep-shaped with wings.15 segments of PfCPR had no homology with Homo sapien CPR and most were exposed on the surface of the protein.These segments had 25 protein-protein binding sites.While 13 other segments all possessed function sites. 7为从变形体 berghei 的氮的氧化物 synthase 和类似的蛋白质的结构和功能的生物信息学分析和预言显示文摘 <正>Objective:To search and analyze nitric oxide synthase(NOS) and similar proteins from Plasmodium berghei(Pb).Methods:The structure and function of nitric oxide synthase and similar proteins from Plasmodium berghei were analyzed and predicted by bioinformatics. Results:P6NOS were not available,but nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide 2’-phosphate reduced tetrasodium(NADPH)-cytochrome p450 reductase(CPR) were gained.PiCPR was in the nucleus of Plasmodium berghei,while 134aa-229aa domain was localize in nucleolar organizer. 14PCA-U-Net based breast cancer nest segmentation from microarray(jj)hyperspectral images显示文摘The incidence of breast cancer is tending younger globally,and tumor development,clinical treatment,and prognosis are largely influenced by histopathological diagnosis.For diagnosed patients,the distinction between the cancer nests and normal tissue is the basis of breast cancer treatment.Microscopic hyperspectral imaging technology has shown its potential in auxiliary pathological examinations due to the superior imaging modality and data characteristics.This paper presents a method for cancer nest segmentation from hyperspectral images of breast cancer tissue microarray samples.The scheme combines the strengths of the U-Net neural network and unsupervised principal component analysis,which reduces the amount of calculation and improves the recognition accuracy.The experimental accuracy of cancer nest segmentation reaches 87.14%.Furthermore,a set of quantitative pathological characteristic parameters reflects the degree of breast cancer lesions from multiple angles,providing a relatively comprehensive reference for the pathologist’s diagnosis.In-depth exploration of the combined development of deep learning and microscopic hyperspectral imaging technology is worthy to promote efficient diagnosis of breast tumors and concern for human health.Jiansheng Wang Yan Wang Xiang Tao Qingli Li Li Sun Jiangang Chen Mei Zhou Menghan Hu Xiufeng Zhou 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,5:1

19Pluripotent Embryonic Stem Cells Developed into Medulloepithelioma in Nude Mice Eyes显示文摘Purpose: The pluripotent embryonic stem cells can differentiate into various kinds offormal tissues. There is no previous report on the differentiation of embryonic stem cellin the intraocular environment. In this paper, the authors tried to investigate theintraocular growth character of mice embryonic stem cells in nude mice.Methods: Murine embryonic stem cells were cultured and maintained in anundifferentiated state in vitro. They were transplanted into the right eyes of 20 nude miceby microinjection under operating microscope. Animal eye observation, light microscopeand immunohistochemical examinations were implemented.Results: Two to three days after transplantation, small pieces of gray-white materialcould be viewed in the vitreous cavity. Between the 15th and 20th day, the gray-whitemass grew into the anterior chamber in 4 nude mice eyes. Then, the mass at the anteriorchamber extended extraocularly. On the 30th day, a remarkable proptosis was observedin two of the four nude mice. In 6 to 45 days, the mice were executed for morphologicalexamination which showed the following typical structures: (1) Undifferentiated cellswith prominent nucleolius. (2) Flexner-Wintersteiner-like rosettes. (3) Medulloepithe-lioma-like structure: the cells were arranged in sheets, cords, tubes, and cysts. (4) Large,spindle-or astrocyte-like cells. (5) Cartilage-like structure. 20High-speed high-resolution laser diode-based photoacoustic microscopy for in vivo microvasculature imaging显示文摘Laser diodes(LDs)have been considered as cost-effective and compact excitation sources to overcome the requirement of costly and bulky pulsed laser sources that are commonly used in photoacoustic microscopy(PAM).However,the spatial resolution and/or imaging speed of previously reported LD-based PAM systems have not been optimized simultaneously.In this paper,we developed a high-speed and high-resolution LD-based PAM system using a continuous wave LD,operating at a pulsed mode,with a repetition rate of 30 kHz,as an excitation source.A hybrid scanning mechanism that synchronizes a one-dimensional galvanometer mirror and a two-dimensional motorized stage is applied to achieve a fast imaging capability without signal averaging due to the high signal-to-noise ratio.By optimizing the optical system,a high lateral resolution of 4.8μm has been achieved.In vivo microvasculature imaging of a mouse ear has been demonstrated to show the high performance of our LD-based PAM system.Xiufeng Li Victor T C Tsang Lei Kang Yan Zhang Terence T W Wong 2021Visual Computing for Industry,Biomedicine,and Art2021,4,1:0
