1Curative effect of Dingqi analgesic patch on cancer pain:a single-blind randomized controlled trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of an acupoint application with a Dingqi analgesic patch on moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer.METHODS:Forty patients with moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer were randomly divided intoatreatmentgroup(TG)andacontrolgroup(CG).Patients with moderate pain were given 100 mg qd of a sustainably released tablet of tramadol hydrochloride;patientswithseverepainweregiven4.2mg q3d of the fentanyl transdermal system.The ashi points Ganshu(BL 18),Danshu(BL 19) and Qimen(LR 14) were chosen for the acupoint application intervention.CG patients were given a sham patch and TG patients were given a Dingqi analgesic patch.A visual analogue scale(VAS) was used before treatment and after 1,3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment.The Karnofsky score was measured before treatment and after 12 days of treatment.Any main adverse reactions(e.g.nausea,constipation,dizziness and headache) were recorded after 6 and 12 days of treatment.Any skin side effects(i.e.skin irritation and allergic reactions) were recorded.RESULTS:The VAS in TG was significantly lower than that in CG after 3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Karnofsky score before treatment and after 12 days of treatment between CG and TG.There were also no significant differences in the main adverse reactions or skin side effects after 6 and 12 days of treatment between CG andTG(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The Dingqi analgesic patch can enhance the analgesic effect of tramadol and fentanyl.Changjun Wang Wei Tan Xuhui Huang Tingting Fu Juze Lin Junmin Bu Guojian Wei Yu Du 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:9
2A new method for early detection of myocardial ischemia:cardiodynamicsgram(CDG)显示文摘Early detection of myocardial ischemia via electrocardiographic methods is important and challenging. In the study, based on the standard 12-lead electrocardiography(ECG), a new method called cardiodynamicsgram(CDG) is proposed for early detection of myocardial ischemia. Using a recently proposed deterministic learning algorithm, the cardiodynamics information is extracted from the ST-T segments of standard 12-lead ECG. The CDG is generated by plotting the three-dimensional cardiodynamics information. By analyzing CDG morphology, it is found that significant correlations exist between CDG and ischemia. By evaluating ischemia patients and healthy controls from the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt(PTB) database and the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command, the CDG method achieves a mean sensitivity of 90.3% and a mean specificity of 87.8%, which are higher than those of both the standard 12-lead ECG and the exercise ECG. 3Preparation of N-Doped Bi_2WO_6 Microspheres for Efficient Visible Light-Induced Photocatalysis显示文摘The N-doped bismuth tungstate(Bi_2WO_6) photocatalysts with high visible light activity were prepared by the hydrothermal method using urea as a nitrogen source.The as-prepared N-doped Bi_2WO_6 samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,specific surface area,photocurrent analysis,and UV-Vis diffuse reflectrance spectroscopy.The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B(RhB)solution under visible light irradiation.The photocatalytic mechanisms were analyzed by active species trapping experiments which revealed that the holes were the main active species of N-doped Bi_2WO_6 products in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation,rather than OH and O_2^-.With the assistance of H_2O_2,the photocatalytic activity for degradation of RhB could be further improved because H_2O_2 reacted with conduction band electrons to generate more hydroxyl radicals.Bolin Tang Guohua Jiang Zhen Wei Xia Li Xiaohong Wang Tengteng Jiang Wenxing Chen Junmin Wan 2014Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,1:4

5Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. 6Undulated 2D Covalent Organic Frameworks Based on Bowl-Shaped Cyclotricatechylene显示文摘Two 2D wavy hexagonal hexahydroxyl cyclotricatechylene (CTC) based COFs, CTC-COF-2 and CTC-COF-3were synthesized through solvothermal reaction. The bowl-shaped conformation caused CTC skeletons packed in acolumnar manner with the same oriented units, thus forming an undulated structure. 7Chromobox homolog 4 overexpression inhibits TNF-α-induced matrix catabolism and senescence by suppressing activation of NF-κB signaling pathway in nucleus pulposus cells显示文摘Intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD)is featured as enhanced catabolism of extracellular matrix(ECM)in the nucleus pulposus(NP),in which tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)-related cell senescence is involved.Chromobox homolog protein 4(CBX4)exhibits anti-inflammatory effects and shows promising therapeutic potential.Thus,in the present study,we explore the role of CBX4 in IDD.Immunohistochemistry staining reveals that CBX4 expression is decreased in severe degenerative NP tissues compared to mild degenerative tissues,and real-time PCR and western blot analysis results show that CBX4 expression is downregulated under TNF-αstimulation in NP cells.siRNA and adenoviruses are used to knockdown or overexpress CBX4,respectively.The results demonstrate that CBX4 knockdown augments the catabolism of ECM in human NP cells,while CBX4 overexpression in rat NP cells restores the ECM degradation induced by TNF-α,as illustrated by immunofluorescence and western blot analysis.In addition,transcriptome sequencing results reveal the regulatory effect of CBX4 on the cell cycle,and further western blot analysis and senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase staining assay indicate that CBX4 overexpression alleviates cell senescence in the presence of TNF-α.Moreover,the phosphorylation of p65,which indicates the activation of NF-κB signaling,is measured by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay,and the results reveal that CBX4 overexpression reduces the TNF-α-induced increase in the p-p65/p65 ratio.In addition,the effect of CBX4 overexpression in NP cells is suppressed by NF-κB agonist.In summary,our results indicate that CBX4 overexpression can suppress TNF-α-induced matrix catabolism and cell senescence in the NP by inhibiting NF-κB activation.This study may provide new approaches for preventing and treating IDD.Yangyang Zhang Shuangxing Li Junmin Hong Jiansen Yan Zhengqi Huang Jiajun Wu Zhihuai Deng Tianyu Qin Kang Xu Wei Ye 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7:2

12Efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab for the first-line treatment of follicular lymphoma:a subgroup analysis of Chinese patients enrolled in the phase III GALLIUM study显示文摘Backgrounds:GALLIUM is a global phase Ⅲ study that demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival(PFS)for obinutuzumab plus chemotherapy(G-chemo)vs.rituximab plus chemotherapy(R-chemo)in previously untreated patients with follicular lymphoma(FL).This study aimed to report the results of a subgroup of patients in China.Methods:Patients were randomized to G-chemo or R-chemo.Responders received maintenance therapy for 2 years or until disease progression.The primary endpoint was investigator(INV)-assessed PFS.Secondary endpoints included the overall response rate(ORR)and complete response rate(CRR)at the end of induction chemotherapy,overall survival(OS),and safety.Results:Overall,58 patients with FL were randomized to the G-chemo(n=25)and R-chemo arms(n=33).The INV-assessed PFS rate at 3 years was 81.8%in the G-chemo arm,vs.70.2%in the R-chemo arm(hazard ratio 0.35;95%confidence interval:0.09-1.34;P=0.1120).The INV-assessed CRRs(without positron emission tomography[PET])in these arms were 24.0%and 21.2%,respectively,whereas the ORRs were 80.0%and 90.9%,respectively.INV-assessed CRR-PET was 52.6%in the G-chemo,vs.60.9%in the R-chemo.Median OS was not reached in either arm.Grade 3 to 5 adverse events were more frequent in the R-chemo arm(97.0%vs.88.0%).Conclusions:The results of this subgroup analysis were consistent with those of the global population,and they suggest that G-chemo has a positive benefit-risk profile in patients from China with FL.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov,No.NCT01332968.Xiaonan Hong Yuqin Song Yuankai Shi Qingyuan Zhang Wei Guo Gang Wu Junmin Li Jifeng Feng Anastasiia Kinkolykh Andrea Knapp Tongyu Lin 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,4:1

15Dietary Epimedium extract supplementation improves intestinal functions and alters gut microbiota in broilers显示文摘Background Growth-promoting antibiotics have been banned by law in the livestock and poultry breeding industry in many countries.Various alternatives to antibiotics have been investigated for using in livestock.Epimedium(EM)is an herb rich in flavonoids that has many beneficial effects on animals.Therefore,this study was planned to explore the potential of EM as a new alternative antibiotic product in animal feed.Methods A total of 7201-day-old male broilers(Arbor Acres Plus)were randomly divided into six groups and fed basal diet(normal control;NC),basal diet supplemented with antibiotic(75 mg/kg chlortetracycline;CTC),and basal diet supplemented with 100,200,400 or 800 mg/kg EM extract for 6 weeks(EM100,EM200,EM400 and EM800 groups).The growth performance at weeks 3 and 6 was measured.Serum,intestinal tissue and feces were collected to assay for antioxidant indexes,intestinal permeability,lactic acid and short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)profiles,microbial composition,and expression of intestinal barrier genes.Results The average daily feed intake in CTC group at 1-21 d was significantly higher than that in the NC group,and had no statistical difference with EM groups.Compared with NC group,average daily gain in CTC and EM200 groups increased significantly at 1-21 and 1-42 d.Compared with NC group,EM200 and EM400 groups had significantly decreased levels of lipopolysaccharide and D-lactic acid in serum throughout the study.The concentrations of lactic acid,acetic acid,propionic acid,butyric acid and SCFAs in feces of birds fed 200 mg/kg EM diet were significantly higher than those fed chlortetracycline.The dietary supplementation of chlortetracycline and 200 mg/kg EM significantly increased ileal expression of SOD1,Claudin-1 and ZO-1 genes.Dietary supplemented with 200 mg/kg EM increased the relative abundances of g_NK4A214_group and Lactobacillus in the jejunal,while the relative abundances of Microbacterium,Kitasatospora,Bacteroides in the jejunal and Gallibacterium in the ileum decreased.Conclusion Supplementation with 200 mg/kg EM extract improved the composition of intestinal microbiota by regulating the core bacterial genus Lactobacillus,and increased the concentration of beneficial metabolites lactic acid and SCFAs in the flora,thereby improving the antioxidant capacity and intestinal permeability,enhancing the function of tight junction proteins.These beneficial effects improved the growth performance of broilers.Jiaqi Zhang Haitao Yu Huiyan Zhang Qingyu Zhao Wei Si Yuchang Qin Junmin Zhang 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,4:1
