| 1 | Humification characterization of biochar and its potential as a composting amendment显示文摘Biochar has received increasing attention due to its applications as a soil amendment. Here, the chemical properties of solid and water-extractable fractions of four biochar samples were investigated. The results showed that wood biochar and bamboo biochar samples were 60%–80% more hydrophobic than those of rice husk biochar and rice husk ash. In addition, the acidity was 3.88 mmol/g from the total functional groups and 1.03 mmol/g from the carboxyl groups/lactones/phenols found in the wood biochar sample, which were about 1.5 times greater than those of the bamboo biochar sample. These functional groups could be used to determine the sorptive capacity of biochar for ionic solutes and water content and to increase the degradation of compost organics. The wood biochar sample was found to have the most humification materials(fulvic acid-like material + humic acid-like material) in the water-extractable fraction, which was 3–10 times higher than that in the rice husk biochar and rice husk ash; humified materials were not detected in the bamboo biochar sample. Humification materials in biochar may be involved in increasing the proportion of humic acid-like materials in humic-like substances within the compost product. | 4 | G-CNTs/PVDF mixed matrix membranes with improved antifouling properties and filtration performance显示文摘Although carbon nanomaterials have been widely used as effective nanofillers for fabrication of mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)with outstanding performances,the reproducibility of the fabricated MMMs is still hindered by the non-homogenous dispersion of these carbon nanofillers in membrane substrate.Herein,we report an effective way to improve the compatibility of carbon-based nanomaterials with membrane matrixes.By chemically conjugating the oxidized CNTs(o-CNTs)and GO using hexanediamine as cross-linker,a novel carbon nanohybrid material(G-CNTs)was synthesized,which inherited both the advanced properties of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and graphene oxide(G0).The G-CNTs incorporated polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)MMMs(GCNTs/PVDF)were fabricated via a non-solvent induced phase separation(NIPS)method.The filtration and antifouling performances of G-CNTs/PVDF were evaluated using distillate water and a1g/L bovine serum albumin(BSA)aqueous solution under 0.10 MPa.Compared to the MMMs prepared with o-CNTs,GO,the physical mixture of o-CNTs and GO and pure PVDF membrane,the G-CNTs/PVDF membrane exhibited the highest water flux up to 220 L/m%and a flux recovery ratio as high as 90%,as well as the best BSA rejection rate.The excellent performances should be attributed to the increased membrane pore size,porosity and hydrophilicity of the resulted membrane.The successful synthesis of the novel nanohybrid G-CNTs provides a new type of nanofillers for MMMs fabrication. | Xiaoyan Guo Chunyu Li Chenghao Li Tingting Wei Lin Tong Huaiqi Shao Qixing Zhou Lan Wang Yuan Liao | 2019 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,6: | 1 |

| 8 | Perioperative risk factors for delayed gastric emptying after pancreaticoduodenectomy:a meta-analysis of the complications显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the correlation between the incidence of delayed gastric emptying(DGE)in pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)and the perioperative possible risk factors.Methods:We searched PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,and Medline for studies describing complications related to PD from 2018 to 2022.Statistical analysis was performed using Stata/SE16.0 software.Results:In 6 retrospective studies,1 systematic review,and 1 randomized controlled trial(RCT)experiment,12,419 patients(2174 and 10,245 patients,respectively,in DGE and no delayed gastric emptying[NDGE]groups).The preoperative American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA)score between DGE and NDGE groups(log odds ratio[OR]=0.23,95%credible interval[CI]:0.11-0.35,P<.01),operation time(mean diff.=21.87,95%CI:15.96-27.78,P<.01),estimated intraoperative blood loss(EIBL;mean diff.=70.67,95%CI:17.75-123.58,P<.05),postoperative pancreatic fistula(POPF)(log OR=0.85,95%CI:0.24-1.46,P<.05)were statistically significant.No significant differences in preoperative body mass index(BMI),preoperative biliary drain-age,and pancreatic texture were observed(P>.05).Conclusion:The incidence of DGE is significantly correlated with the operation time,preoperative ASA score,POPF,and EIBL,which suggests that the surgeon should thoroughly evaluate the patient through adequate preoperative examination before the operation.Finally,standardized practice and perfect technology are undoubtedly necessary to reduce complications. | Xiaowei Deng Ting Niu Zhaolong Han Xing Liang Zhiping Fu Liang Tang Guang Yang Judong Li An’an Liu Junfeng Peng Minghui Zheng Chenghao Shao | 2023 | Journal of Pancreatology2023,6,2: | 0 |
