| 1 | Application of biological dural graft made by meninges from porkers显示文摘BACKGROUND: Presently, over 40 kinds of dural grafts have been successively used in clinic. Among them, lyophilized human dura mater with good histocompatibility and less complications is applied most widely. But there are a few reports on cases of infected spongiform encephalopathy following application of lyodura. More ideal repair materials deserve to be further investigated. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficiency and safety of biological dural graft made by meninges from porkers to repair meningeal injury. DESIGN: A self-control observation. SETTING: Wuhan General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Area Command of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS: Sixteen New Zealand Rabbits, of either gender, weighing from 2 to 3 kg, of clean grade Ⅱ, with the age of 0.5–1 year, were involved in this experiment. The involved rabbits were provided by the Animal Experimental Center of the First Military Medical University of Chinese PLA. Biological surgical patch (dural graft) was developed by Guangdong Guanhao Biotechnological Co.,Ltd. It was processed by using meninges from porkers by tissue engineering technology. METHODS: This experiment was carried out in the Experimental Center of the 157 Hospital of Chinese PLA between December 2003 and June 2004. ① The experimental rabbits were anesthetized. Dura mater was exposed from two sides of postmedial line of coronal suture. A rectangular dura mater about 8 mm×8 mm in size was cut off. Then a biological surgical patch (dural graft) was sheared into insert with 8 mm diameter and sutured. The left dura mater was untouched and used as control. Scalp was sutured, and postoperative wound healing and recovery were observed. ②The anesthetized rabbits were sacrificed at postoperative 3, 14, 30 and 90 days, 4 rabbits once. The whole head was cut off, and its scalp was removed. Afterwards, the head was fixed by formalin. Tissues in operative site were obtained, performed routine paraffin embedding, sliced and conducted HE staining, finally, the sections were observed. White blood cells in venous blood were counted before operation and execution, separately. The obtained data were statistically analyzed. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Wound healing and recovery following implantation of dural graft. ②The amount of white blood cells in venous blood from rabbits at each time point before operation and before execution. ③ Histological examination results of operative site. RESULTS: Sixteen experimental rabbits were involved in the final analysis. ① The experimental rabbits of each group had no local infection, effusion and abnormal appearance. They had good wound healing and were normal to access to food. ② There were no significant differences in amount of white blood cells in venous blood from experimental rabbits between at each time point after modeling and before operation (P > 0.05). ③Pathological observation of operative site : At postoperative 3 days, local acute inflammation repair reaction appeared; At postoperative 2 weeks, chronic inflammatory reaction appeared, endodermis in artificial dural graft formed, and artificial dural graft and host dura mater healed; In postoperative 1 month, wound began to chronically recover; In postoperative 3 months, host blood capillary began to form in artificial dural graft based on chronic repair. In all the control sides, fibroplasia was found, and a few neutrophils were found at postoperative 2 weeks. CONCLUSION: Biological surgical patch has high stability and good histocompatibility. | 2 | ZnO-based micromotors fueled by CO_(2):the first example of self-reorientation-induced biomimetic chemotaxis显示文摘Synthetic chemotactic micro/nanomotors are envisioned to actively‘seek out’targets by following specific chemicals,but they are mainly powered by bioincompatible fuels and only show pseudochemotaxis(or advanced chemokinesis)due to their weak self-reorientation capabilities.Here we demonstrate that synthetic ZnO-based Janus micromotors can be powered by the alternative biocompatible fuel of C0_(2);and further provide the first example of self-reorientation-induced biomimetic chemotaxis using them.The ZnO-based micromotors are highly sensitive to dissolved C0_(2) in water,which enables the corrosion of ZnO to continuously occur by providing H+through hydration.Thus,they can autonomously move even in water exposed to air based on self-diffusiophoresis.Furthermore,they can sense the local C0_(2) gradient and perform positive chemotaxis by self-reorientations under the phoretic torque.Our discovery opens a gate to developing intelligent micro/nanomotors powered by,and sensitive to,biocompatible atmospheric or endogenous gaseous chemicals for biomedical and environmental applications. | Fangzhi Mou Qi Xie Jianfeng Liu Shengping Che Lamya Bahmane Ming You Jianguo Guan | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,11: | 3 |
| 3 | Connection between the Silk Road Pattern in July and the Following January Temperature over East Asia显示文摘This study investigates a cross-seasonal influence of the Silk Road Pattern(SRP)in July and discusses the related mechanism.Both the reanalysis and observational datasets indicate that the July SRP is closely related to the following January temperature over East Asia during 1958/59–2001/02.Linear regression results reveal that,following a higher-than-normal SRP index in July,the Siberian high,Aleutian low,Urals high,East Asian trough,and meridional shear of the East Asian jet intensify significantly in January.Such atmospheric circulation anomalies are favorable for northerly wind anomalies over East Asia,leading to more southward advection of cold air and causing a decrease in temperature.Further analysis indicates that the North Pacific sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs)might play a critical role in storing the anomalous signal of the July SRP.The significant SSTAs related to the July SRP weaken in October and November,re-emerge in December,and strengthen in the following January.Such an SSTA pattern in January can induce a surface anomalous cyclone over North Pacific and lead to dominant convergence anomalies over northwestern Pacific.Correspondingly,significant divergence anomalies appear,collocated in the upper-level troposphere in situ.Due to the advection of vorticity by divergent wind,which can be regarded as a wave source,a stationary Rossby wave originates from North Pacific and propagates eastward to East Asia,leading to temperature anomalies through its influence on the large-scale atmospheric circulation. | Shengping HE Yang LIU Huijun WANG | 2017 | Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Semi-Supervised Noisy Label Learning for Chinese Clinical Named Entity Recognition显示文摘This paper describes our approach for the Chinese clinical named entity recognition(CNER) task organized by the 2020 China Conference on Knowledge Graph and Semantic Computing(CCKS) competition. In this task, we need to identify the entity boundary and category labels of six entities from Chinese electronic medical record(EMR). We constructed a hybrid system composed of a semi-supervised noisy label learning model based on adversarial training and a rule post-processing module. The core idea of the hybrid system is to reduce the impact of data noise by optimizing the model results. Besides, we used post-processing rules to correct three cases of redundant labeling, missing labeling, and wrong labeling in the model prediction results. | 5 | Tandem Biocatalysis by CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH2 and Novozym 435 for Highly Selective Transformation of HMF into FDCA显示文摘2,5-Furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) is a potential biorenewable chemical for applications including plastics, polyamides, drugs, etc. The selective biosynthesis of FDCA from 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) by a speci c enzyme poses a great challenge. In this study, we reported an e cient strategy to produce FDCA from HMF by the tandem biocatalysis of laccase (CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH 2 ) and Novozym 435. For the rst step, a nanoparticle metal organic framework was synthesized as a carrier to immobilize CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH 2 , which was assigned for the production of 5-formyl-2-furancarboxylic acid (FFCA) and featured an enzyme loading of 255.54 mg/g, speci c activity of 135.90 U/mg, and solid loading ratio of 99.65%. Under optimal conditions, an ideal FFCA yield of 98.5% was achieved, and the CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH2 pre- sented a high recycling capacity after 10 cycles. For the second step, Novozym 435 was applied for the further conversion of FFCA into FDCA, presenting a high FDCA yield of 95.5% under the optimized conditions. Novozym 435 also exhibited a high recyclability after eight cycles. | 9 | Analysis of Saccharina japonica transcriptome using the high-throughput DNA sequencing technique and its vanadium-dependent haloperoxidase gene显示文摘Saccharina is one of the most important cold-water living marine brown algal genera.In this study we analyzed the transcriptome of S.japonica,which belongs to the 1 000 Plants(OneKP) Project,by using a nextgeneration high-throughput DNA sequencing technique.About 5.16 GB of raw data were generated,and 65 536 scaffolds with an average length of 454 bp were assembled with SOAP de novo assembly method.In total,19 040 unigenes were identified by BLAST;25 734 scaffolds were clustered into 37 Gene ontology functional groups;6 760 scaffolds were classified into 25 COG categories,as well as 2 665 scaffolds that were assigned to 306 KEGG pathways.Majority of the unigenes exhibited more similarities to algae including brown algae and diatom than other cyanobacteria,marine diatom,and plant.Saccharina japonica has the outstanding capability to accumulate halogen such as Br and I via halogenation processes from seawater.We acquired 42 different vanadium-dependent haloperoxidases(vHPO) in S.japonica transcriptome data,including 5 segments of vanadium-dependent iodoperoxidase(vIPO) and 37 segments of vanadium-dependent bromoperoxidase(vBPO).Complicated analyses of identified fulllength S.japonica vBPO1 and S.japonica vBPO2 revealed the importance of vBPO among species of brown algae and the strong relationship between marine algal vBPOs and vIPOs.This study will enhance our understanding of the biological characteristics and economic values of S.japonica species. | LIANG Xiayuan WANG Xumin CHI Shan WU Shuangxiu SUN Jing LIU Cui CHEN Shengping YU Jun LIU Tao | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,2: | 1 |

| 15 | Screening for musculoskeletal system malformations and birth injuries in newborns:Results of a screening program in two hospitals in Shenzen,China显示文摘Importance:There are a variety of musculoskeletal malformations and injuries that can occur in newborns.These can be a significant cause of perinatal death or a reason for miscarriage and can lead to long-term functional issues if not managed appropriately.There is no systematic and well-established screening program for neonatal musculoskeletal malformations and injuries in China now.Objective:To report the incidence and types of congenital musculoskeletal malformations in two hospitals in Shenzhen City,to explore and discuss the details of the screening procedure and improve future prevention and treatment.Methods:From October 2013 to May 2014,2564 one-day-old newborns were screened by a pediatric orthopedic physical examination,in combination with ultrasonography when required,and the incidence and variety of diseases were recorded statistically.Results:Among 2564 screened newborns,the following musculoskeletal conditions were identified:congenital muscular torticollis(CMT)(seven cases,0.27%),hip subluxation(four cases,0.16%),hip dysplasia(47 cases,1.83%),congenital talipes equinovarus(CTEV)(two cases,0.08%),congenital talipes calcaneovalgus(15 cases,0.58%),polydactyly(nine cases,0.35%),syndactyly(one case,0.04%),and spinal hemivertebra(one case,0.04%).Additionally,there were five(0.19%)neonates with birth injuries.Interpretation:It is feasible to carry out neonatal screening and identification of musculoskeletal malformations and birth injuries in China.This is helpful as timely detection and early intervention for many of these conditions can avoid permanent functional impairment in these children. | Zhu Xiong Zhenhui Zhao Hansheng Deng Xin Qiu Weiqing Li Xiaodi Chen Yu Tang Shuai Han Jiaxin Zhao Ting Cai Xian Liu Shuaidan Zeng Shengping Tang | 2022 | Pediatric Investigation2022,6,3: | 1 |
