| 2 | Analysis of pesticide residues in commercially available chenpi using a modified QuEChERS method and GC-MS/MS determination显示文摘To ensure the safety of the commercially available chenpi,a convenient and fast analytical method was developed for the determination of 133 pesticide residues in chenpi using gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(GC-MS/MS).In this study,different extraction solvents,redissolution solvents and adsorbents were tested according to the recovery and purification effect to obtain a modified QuEChERS method.The samples were extracted with acetonitrile.During the clean-up step,octadecyl-modified silica(C18)and graphitized carbon black(GCB)were selected,and aminopropyl(NH2)was used instead of primary secondary amine(PSA)because of its weaker ion exchange capacity which had little effect on the recovery of ditalimfos.Samples were quantified by matrix-matched calibration with internal standards.All pesticides showed good linearity in the respective range,both with values of r2>0.99.The average recoveries of the pesticides spiked samples ranged from 70.0% to 112.2% with the RSDs of 0.2%–14.4%.The modified QuEChERS method was validated and applied to twenty real samples.Five pesticides were found in eight batches,but no pesticide exceeded the maximum residue limits(MRL,MRL reference to European commission). | Shuang Li Peipei Yu Ceng Zhou Ling Tong Dongxiang Li Zhiguo Yu Yunli Zhao | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,1: | 34 |
| 3 | On the timing of the East Asian summer monsoon maximum during the Holocene Does the speleothem oxygen isotope record reflect monsoon rainfall variability?显示文摘The evolution of the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) during the Holocene has long been of significant interest.Knowledge of past EASM variability not only increases our understanding of monsoon dynamics on a long timescale,but it also provides an environmental and climatic background for research into Chinese cultural development.However,the timing of the EASM maximum remains controversial.The popular concept of an 'early Holocene maximum' is mainly based on speleothemδ^(18)O(δ^(18)O_c) records from caves in southern China;however,the interpretation of δ^(18)O_C as a reliable proxy for EASM intensity is being increasingly challenged.The present paper is a critical review of the climatic significance of the δ^(18)O_C record from China.Firstly,we suggest that precipitation in northern China is an appropriate index of EASM intensity,the variation of which clearly indicates a mid-Holocene monsoon maximum.Secondly,an interregional comparison demonstrates that the precipitation record in northern China is quite different from that in southern China on a range of timescales,and is inconsistent with the spatial similarity exhibited by speleothem oxygen isotope records.Furthermore,both modeling and observational data show that the δ^(18)O_C records from southern China indeed reflect changes in precipitation δ^(18)O(δ^(18)O_P) rather than precipitation amount,and therefore that their use as an EASM proxy is inappropriate.Finally,we address several significant monsoon-related issues-including the driving mechanism of the EASM on an orbital timescale,the climatic significance of speleothem oxygen isotopes,and the relationship between atmospheric circulation and precipitation in monsoonal regions. | CHEN JianHui RAO ZhiGuo LIU JianBao HUANG Wei FENG Song DONG GuangHui HU Yu XU QingHai CHEN FaHu | 2016 | Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,12: | 18 |
| 4 | Weekly albumin-bound paclitaxel/cisplatin versus gemcitabine/cisplatin as first-line therapy for patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer:A phase II open-label clinical study显示文摘Objective: The aim of this trial was to compare both the efficacy and the safety of a weekly nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel(nab-paclitaxel) plus cisplatin vs. gemcitabine plus cisplatin in patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods: A total of 84 participants received either 100 mg/m^2 nab-paclitaxel each week on d 1, 8 and 15 of a 28 day cycle, as well as cisplatin 75 mg/m^2 on d 1 every three weeks(nab-TP arm); or gemcitabine 1,000 mg/m^2 on d 1 and 8, plus cisplatin 75 mg/m^2 on d 1 every three weeks(GP arm). The primary end point was progression-free survival(PFS). The secondary end points were overall response rate(ORR) and overall survival(OS).Results: According to our analysis, the median PFS was 4.8 months for the nab-TP arm vs. 5.2 months for the GP arm(P=0.55). Analysis showed the median OS was 14.6 months for participants who were in the nab-TP arm vs. 15.1 months for those in the GP arm(P=0.94). Besides, nab-TP showed OS advantages over GP in patients harboring epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) mutation(26.7 vs. 15.3 months, P=0.046) and patients with a performance status of 0(23.5 vs. 14.7 months, P=0.020). It was found that incidences of drug-related grade 3 or 4 toxicities were comparable between the two treatment arms.Conclusions: Therefore, it can be seen that weekly nab-TP treatment has a similar efficacy and tolerability to GP treatment for patients who are undergoing their first-line treatment for NSCLC. | 5 | In vitro effect of iASPP on cell growth of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘iASPP is an inhibitory member of the apoptosis-stimulating proteins of P53(ASPP) family. iASPP is over expressed in several malignant tumors and potentially affects cancer progression. However, the expression and potential role of iASPP in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma(OTSCC) have not been addressed. In our study, we detected iASPP expression in OTSCC by immunohistochemistry. iASPP expression is up-regulated in OTSCC tissues. Moreover, in clinical pathology specimens, we found that increased iASPP expression correlates with poor differentiation and lymph node metastasis. Using multicellular tumor spheroids(MTS) and flow cytometry, we demonstrated that iASPP down-regulation arrests OTSCC cells at the G0/G1 phase, induces OTSCC cell apoptosis and inhibits OTSCC cell proliferation. | 11 | Review of Molecular Simulation Method for Gas Adsorption/desorption and Diffusion in Shale Matrix显示文摘Shale gas is becoming an increasingly promising alternative energy resource because of its high efficiency and environment-friendly characteristic. The amount of adsorbed gas on the shale matrix surfaces and dissolved gas in the shale matrix bulk is the dominant factor in the long-term productivity of shale reservoir. Although experimental measurements have been extensively carried out to investigate the gas adsorption and diffusion properties in the shale matrix, they cannot provide the detailed information on the microscopic transport mechanism of shale gas during the gas production process. Molecular simulation can accurately visualize the gas adsorption/desorption and diffusion processes in the shale matrix. In the present study, the recent research advances of molecular simulation on gas adsorption/desorption and diffusion in the shale matrix are reviewed. Firstly, the density functional theory(DFT) for shale gas molecule desorption/adsorption on the surface of the matrix crystal is illustrated. Then, the grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC) method predicting the amount of shale gas desorption/adsorption in the shale matrix crystal is introduced. Finally, molecular dynamics simulation(MD) for gas diffusion in the shale matrix is elucidated. | 12 | Characterizing the induction of diabetes in juvenile cynomolgus monkeys with different doses of streptozotocin显示文摘Juvenile(2-3 years old) cynomolgus monkeys are frequently used as recipients in non-human primate islet transplantation studies.The aim of this study was to examine the effects of different doses of streptozotocin(STZ),and find the optimal dose for inducing diabetes in these monkeys.Fifteen juvenile(2-3 years old) cynomolgus monkeys were separated into three groups and administered with different doses of STZ(100,68 or 60 mg kg-1).Basal and glucose-stimulated blood glucose,insulin,and C-peptide levels,as well as body weights were monitored.Hepatic and renal function tests and pancreatic immunohistochemistry were performed before and after STZ treatment.Monkeys treated with both 100 and 68 mg kg-1 of STZ exhibited continuous hyperglycemia,which coincided with a nearly complete loss of islet--cells.Two monkeys received 60 mg kg-1 of STZ,but only one became completely diabetic.During the first week following STZ treatment,hepatic and renal function slightly increased in these three groups.However,24 hours post-STZ,serum total bile acid levels were significantly increased in monkeys treated with 100 mg kg-1 than those treated with 68 mg kg-1 of STZ(P<0.05).These data suggest that 100 mg kg-1 and 68 mg kg-1 of STZ can safely induce diabetes in cynomolgus monkeys aged 2-3 years,but 68 mg kg-1 of STZ,rather than 100 mg kg-1 of STZ,may be more appropriate for inducing diabetes in these monkeys.Furthermore,body surface area,rather than body weight,was a more reliable determinant of dosage,where 700 mg m-2 of STZ should be the lower limit for inducing diabetes in juvenile monkeys. | ZOU ChunLin WANG JiaYin WANG ShuYan HUANG Fen REN ZhenHua CHEN ZhiGuo ZHANG YU | 2012 | Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,3: | 3 |

| 16 | Composition analysis and antioxidant activities of the Rhus typhina L.stem显示文摘The present investigation reports the chemical composition of the Rhus typhina L. stem identified via mass spectrometry and NMR as gallic acid, 1-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose, tryptophan, scopolin, methyl gallate, fustin, quercetin, rutin, and 1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose. The antioxidant properties and the chemical composition contents of the R. typhina L. stem grown in different regions in China were determined. To determine the antioxidant activity, a total phenolic content analysis, 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity assay, ferric reducing antioxidant power assay, and β-carotene linoleic acid model system were conducted. The results showed that the Rhus typhina L. stem possessed high antioxidant capacities due to its high phenolic content. The contents of the nine isolated compounds were determined by UPLC-ESI-MS/MS. The calibration curves of the nine isolated compounds were linear within the concentration range and the average recoveries were high. The result showed that 1-Ogalloyl-β-D-glucose, gallic acid, methyl gallate, and 1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose could be the compounds mainly responsible for the antioxidant capacity of the R. typhina L. stem. | 19 | The effects of straw‑returning and inorganic K fertilizer on the carbon–nitrogen balance and reproductive growth of cotton显示文摘Background:Many studies have indicated that straw-returning could meet part or even all of the potassium(K)demand for crop growth in the field,but few have compared the effects of crop straw as K source and inorganic K fertilizer on carbon–nitrogen(C–N)balance of cotton and the reproductive growth.To address this,field experiments were conducted using the cotton cultivar,Siza 3,under there treatments(CK as control group one,no crop straw and inorganic K fertilizer were applied;K150 as control group two,150 kg·ha^(-1) of K2O was applied;and W9000,9000 kg·ha^(-1) wheat straw,which could provide K2O about 150 kg·ha^(-1),was incorporated into soil).Results:Although the final reproductive organ biomass did not differ between W9000 and K150,W9000 had a higher ratio of reproductive organ biomass to total biomass(RRT),suggesting that straw-returning was more conducive to the allocation of biomass to reproductive organs.The theoretical maximum biomass of reproductive organ was higher,but the average and maximum accumulation rates of reproductive organ biomass were 2.8%∼8.3%and 2.5%∼8.2%lower under W9000 than K150.Also,the duration of rapid-accumulation period for reproductive organ biomass(T)was 2.0∼2.8 d longer under W9000 than K150,which was a reason for the higher RRT under W9000.Straw-returning altered the dynamics of leaf K with the growth period,so that W9000 had a more drastic effect on leaf C metabolism than K150.Consequently,lower soluble sugar/free amino acid and C/N ratios were measured under W9000 than K150 at boll-setting(BSS)and boll-opening(BOS)stages.Higher leaf net photosynthetic rate,sucrose phosphate synthase and sucrose synthase activities,and lower acid invertase activity were observed under W9000 than K150 at BSS and BOS and these were more conducive to sucrose accumulation.However,less sucrose was measured under W9000 than K150 at these stages.This should be because straw-returning promoted the assimilate transport capacity when compared with inorganic K fertilizer application,which also explained the higher RRT under W9000 than K150.The lower acid invertase activity under W9000 inhibited the conversion of sucrose to other sugars,hence lower contents of soluble sugar and starch were measured under W9000 than K150.Conclusion:Under low K condition,crop straw as K source can increase the assimilate transport from source to sink,leading to lower C/N ratio in leaf and higher allocation of biomass to reproductive organs than inorganic K fertilizer. | HU Wei YU Chaoran ZHAO Wenqing LIU Ruixian YANG Changqinand ZHOU Zhiguo | 2021 | Journal of Cotton Research2021,4,4: | 2 |
