3Synthesis, Characterization and Application of A Novel Carbon Bridged Half-metallocene Chromium Catalyst for Methyl Methacrylate Polymerization显示文摘A new carbon bridged cyclopentadienyl chromium complex of the type [(C5H4)C(CH3)2 CH2(C5H4N)]CrCl2 was prepared by treatment of CrCl3·(THF)3 in THF solution with the lithium salt of ligand containing cyclopentadienyl and pyridyl groups. The chromium complex was characterized by 1H NMR and elemental analysis(EA), and the crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Activated by Al(i-Bu)3, the chromium complex displayed a very high activity for methyl methacrylate(MMA) polymerization. After 24 hours,more than 95.5% MMA was converted to polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) with a viscosity average molecular weight(Wη) of 416000 g·mol-1 at 60 ℃ for MMA/ Al(i-Bu)3 /chromium catalyst molar ratio of up to 2000:20:1. Effects of temperature, molar ratios of MMA/catalyst and catalyst/cocatalyst on the polymerization have been studied. 4Comparative risk of acute kidney injury among cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors显示文摘With the development and introduction of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)in cancer patients,immune-related side effects have increasingly attracted attention.However,the risks of immune-related renal toxicity are poorly characterized.In this study,we performed a network meta-analysis(NMA)of ICI-related randomized clinical trials(RCTs)to elucidate the comparative risk of acute kidney injury(AKI)in cancer patients receiving different ICIs.We also sought to identify other factors potentially affecting the risk of AKI.PubMed and EMBASE were searched for peer-reviewed trial reports published between January 2000 and May 2021.Eligible studies were RCTs studying ICIs in cancer patients and reporting AKI data.We performed a frequentist NMA to evaluate the risk ratios for grade 1-5 and grade 3-5 AKI between the treatment groups.We also assessed the absolute incidence of AKI in the ICI-containing arm using traditional direct meta-analysis.Once significant heterogeneity was detected in a traditional direct meta-analysis,multivariable meta-regression analysis was applied to identify factors that significantly affected the absolute incidence of AKI.A total of 85 RCTs were included in this study.In the NMA for the risk of grade 1-5 and 3-5 AKI,ipilimumab showed a significantly higher risk than avelumab and durvalumab,whereas 1 mg/kg nivolumab plus 3 mg/kg ipilimumab(N1I3)showed a significantly higher risk than other groups.In terms of treatment ranking,durvalumab±low-dose tremelimumab and avelumab were consistently among the top three safest treatments for grade 1-5 or 3-5 AKI,whereas N1I3,ipilimumab and tremelimumab were consistently among the top three treatments with the highest risk for grade 1-5 or 3-5 AKI.Compared with other cancers,renal cell carcinoma and urothelial carcinoma showed a significantly higher risk of AKI.The incidence of AKI was significantly higher with ICI+chemotherapy than with ICI monotherapy.In this NMA involving largescale up-to-date ICI trials,we demonstrated the comparative safety of existing ICI drugs for grade 1-5 and grade 3-5 AKI.Based on data from the ICI arms of these trials,we also revealed several potential risk factors for immune-related AKI,including tumor type and treatment paradigm.Fei Liu ZixianWang Xiaofan Li Zhen Zhang Yue Yang Junquan Chen Dinghua Chen Lingling Wu Xiangyu Liu Sujun Han Fangming Wang Wasilijiang Wahafu Yibo Gao Shancheng Ren Nianzeng Xing Guangyan Cai Xiangmei Chen 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,2:1

7PARK16 rs708730 Polymorphism Decreases Parkinson’s Disease Risk in European Ancestry Population:A Meta-analysis显示文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a complex fatal chronic neurodegenerative disease most common in elderly people.The early genome-wide association studies(GWAS)found that the minor allele variant of PARK16 rs708730 polymorphism is a significant protective factor for PD in Caucasian populations.However,these results cannot be repeated by the following studies in Caucasian populations and other populations.We considered that the inconsistency of the findings may be caused by the small-scale samples or the heterogeneity among different populations.Therefore,in this study,we synthesized the previous related GWAS studies through three authoritative sources,and used the large-scale samples(10,645 PD cases and 30,499 controls)to reevaluate the association between rs708730 polymorphism and PD.The results showed that there is no association between them in Asian ancestry population.While,in European ancestry population,we found that the minor allele variant(G)of rs708730 polymorphism is significantly associated with a decreased risk of PD.Collectively,our findings further verified the association of rs708730 with PD and show its genetic heterogeneity among different populations,which can help to develop a better understanding of the PD’s pathogenesis.Zhijie Han Baochu Wei Chenghong Zhang Hongtian Zhu Lei Tang Ruili Lin Dian He Yang Zhang Pingrong Yang Junquan He Pingshun Song 2019Journal of Geriatric Medicine2019,1,2:0
8Physiological and histological responses of Phascolosoma esculenta (Sipuncula: Phascolosomatidea) to acute heat stress显示文摘Temperature is an important factor affecting the growth,development,and survival of organisms.The effects of temperature stress on aquatic organisms have received increasing attention,as these organisms are mostly poikilotherms and their body temperature are directly corresponding changes with ambient temperature,resulting in they are easily exposed in temperature stress.However,little is known about the effects of high temperature on Sipuncula.In this study,we investigated the effects of acute heat stress on malondialdehyde(MDA)concentration,the activities of antioxidant(superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase)and immunity-related(acidic and alkaline phosphatase)enzymes,heat shock protein 70(hsp70)and hsp90 gene expression,and the histological structure of the sipunculid Phascolosoma esculenta.Within the coelom fl uid,the MDA concentration and all detected antioxidant enzyme activities increased during high temperature stress;signifi cant increases were also observed here and in the intestine in the hsp70 and hsp90 mRNA expression levels.These results indicated that acute heat stress caused oxidative stress;antioxidants and heat shock proteins probably act to protect P.esculenta against oxidative damage,constituting part of its physiological mechanism for adaptation to high temperatures.In addition,the increased activity of the acidic and alkaline phosphatases indicated eff ects on its nonspecifi c immune system.Furthermore,damaged tissue structures were observed in the body wall,retractor muscle,intestine,and nephridium after 96 h of 40-℃ stress.The damaged cells of these tissues showed obvious condensed chromatin around the nuclear membrane.This histological damage suggests that heat stress could affect movement,food absorption,digestion,and excretion in P.esculenta.These results elucidate the effects of temperature stress on P.esculenta and its physiological response mechanisms and provide practical indicators for assessing heat stress status and determining suitable culture temperatures for P.esculenta.Xinming GAO Haiyan YANG Daojun TANG Chen DU Shan JIN Congcong HOU Chundan ZHANG Junquan ZHU Jianping WANG 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,2:0
9Plant-derived squalene supplementation improves growth performance and alleviates acute oxidative stress-induced growth retardation and intestinal damage in piglets显示文摘Piglets are particularly susceptible to oxidative stress,which causes inferior growth performance and intestinal damage.Squalene(SQ),a natural bioactive substance enriched in shark liver oil,shows excellent antioxidant properties and can currently be obtained at a low cost from deodorizer distillate during the production of plant oil.This study aimed to evaluate the effects of plant-derived SQ supplementation on the growth performance of piglets and explore the beneficial roles of SQ against oxidative stress and intestinal injury in diquat-challenged piglets.Forty piglets were randomly divided into five groups and fed a basal diet supplemented with SQ at 0,500,1000,or 2000 mg/kg for 5 weeks.Acute oxidative stress was induced in the piglets with diquat(10 mg/kg BW)at the fourth week of the experiment,followed by a 7-d recovery period.Results showed that before the diquat challenge,SQ supplementation significantly improved growth performance(average daily gain and feed conversion ratio)and serum antioxidant status,and after the diquat challenge,SQ supplementation significantly mitigated diquat-induced growth arrest,intestinal villous atrophy,intestinal epithelial cell apoptosis,intestinal hyperpermeability,and deficiency of intestinal epithelial tight junction proteins(zonula occludens-1,occludin,and claudin-3).Under oxidative stress induced by diquat,SQ supplementation consistently improved the antioxidant status of the small intestine,liver,and muscle.In vitro,SQ was shown to alleviate hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)-induced increase of the levels of intracellular reactive oxygen species and apoptosis of porcine intestinal epithelial cells.Taken together,SQ supplementation improves growth performance and effectively alleviates acute oxidative stress-induced growth retardation and intestinal injury via improving antioxidant capacity in piglets.Our findings may provide an efficient strategy for alleviating oxidative stress-induced inferior growth performance and intestinal damage in piglets.Junquan Tian Qian Jiang Xuetai Bao Fan Yang Yuying Li Haihui Sun Kang Yao Yulong Yin 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
