| 2 | An improved form of smoothed particle hydrodynamics method for crack propagation simulation applied in rock mechanics显示文摘The simulation of crack propagation processes in rock engineering has been not only a research hot spot among scholars but also a challenge.Based on this background,a new numerical method named improved kernel of smoothed particle hydrodynamics(IKSPH)has been put forward.By improving the kernel function in the traditional smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)method,the brittle fracture characteristics of the base particles are realized.The particle domain searching method(PDSM)has also been put forward to generate the arbitrary complex fissure networks.Three numerical examples are analyzed to validate the efficiency of IKSPH and PDSM,which can correctly reveal the morphology of wing crack and the laws of crack coalescence compared with previous experimental and numerical studies.Finally,a rock slope model with complex joints is numerically simulated and the progressive failure processes are exhibited,which indicates that the IKSPH method can be well applied to rock mechanics engineering.The research results showed that IKSPH method reduces the programming difficulties and avoids the traditional grid distortion,which can provide some references for the application of IKSPH to rock mechanics engineering and the understanding of rock fracture mechanisms. | Shuyang Yu Xuhua Ren Jixun Zhang Haijun Wang Zhaohua Sun | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3: | 6 |

| 5 | SRSF1 plays a critical role in invariant natural killer T cell development and function显示文摘Invariant natural killer T(iNKT)cells are highly conserved innate-like T lymphocytes that originate from CD4^(+)CD8^(+)double-positive(DP)thymocytes.Here,we report that serine/arginine splicing factor 1(SRSF1)intrinsically regulates iNKT cell development by directly targeting Myb and balancing the abundance of short and long isoforms.Conditional ablation of SRSF1 in DP cells led to a substantially diminished iNKT cell pool due to defects in proliferation,survival,and TCRαrearrangement.The transition from stage 0 to stage 1 of iNKT cells was substantially blocked,and the iNKT2 subset was notably diminished in SRSF1-deficient mice.SRSF1 deficiency resulted in aberrant expression of a series of regulators that are tightly correlated with iNKT cell development and iNKT2 differentiation,including Myb,PLZF,Gata3,ICOS,and CD5.In particular,we found that SRSF1 directly binds and regulates pre-mRNA alternative splicing of Myb and that the expression of the short isoform of Myb is substantially reduced in SRSF1-deficient DP and iNKT cells.Strikingly,ectopic expression of the Myb short isoform partially rectified the defects caused by ablation of SRSF1.Furthermore,we confirmed that the SRSF1-deficient mice exhibited resistance to acute liver injury uponα-GalCer and Con A induction.Our findings thus uncovered a previously unknown role of SRSF1 as an essential post-transcriptional regulator in iNKT cell development and functional differentiation,providing new clinical insights into iNKT-correlated disease. | Jingjing Liu Menghao You Yingpeng Yao Ce Ji Zhao Wang Fang Wang Di Wang Zhihong Qi Guotao Yu Zhen Sun Wenhui Guo Juanjuan Liu Shumin Li Yipeng Jin Tianyan Zhao Hai-Hui Xue Yuanchao Xue Shuyang Yu | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,11: | 3 |

| 9 | Clinical utility of PDX cohorts to reveal biomarkers of intrinsic resistance and clonal architecture changes underlying acquired resistance to cetuximab in HNSCC显示文摘Cetuximab is a widely used drug for treating head and neck squamous cell carcinomas(HNSCCs);however,it provides restricted clinical benefits,and its response duration is limited by drug resistance.Here,we conducted randomized“Phase II-like clinical trials”of 49 HNSCC PDX models and reveal multiple informative biomarkers for intrinsic resistance to cetuximab(e.g.,amplification of ANKH,up-regulation of PARP3).After validating these intrinsic resistance biomarkers in another HNSCC PDX cohort(61 PDX models),we generated acquired cetuximab resistance PDX models and analyzed them to uncover resistance mechanisms.Whole exome sequencing and transcriptome sequencing revealed diverse patterns of clonal selection in acquired resistant PDXs,including the emergence of subclones with strongly activated RAS/MAPK.Extending these insights,we show that a combination of a RAC1/RAC3 dual-target inhibitor and cetuximab could overcome acquired cetuximab resistance in vitro and in vivo.Beyond revealing intrinsic resistance biomarkers,our PDX-based study shows how clonal architecture changes underlying acquired resistance can be targeted to expand the therapeutic utility of this important drug to more HNSCC patients. | Yanli Yao Yujue Wang Lan Chen Zhen Tian Guizhu Yang Rui Wang Chong Wang Qi Wu Yaping Wu Jiamin Gao Xindan Kang Shengzhong Duan Zhiyuan Zhang Shuyang Sun | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4: | 1 |

| 11 | Incorporating mesopelagic fish into the evaluation of conservation areas for marine living resources under climate change scenarios显示文摘Mesopelagic fish(meso-fish)are central species within the Southern Ocean(SO).However,their ecosystem role and adaptive capacity to climate change are rarely integrated into protected areas assessments.This is a pity given their importance as crucial prey and predators in food webs,coupled with the impacts of climate change.Here,we estimate the habitat distribution of nine meso-fish using an ensemble model approach(MAXENT,random forest,and boosted regression tree).Four climate model simulations were used to project their distribution under two representative concentration pathways(RCP4.5 and RCP8.5)for short-term(2006–2055)and long-term(2050–2099)periods.In addition,we assess the ecological representativeness of protected areas under climate change scenarios using meso-fish as indicator species.Our models show that all species shift poleward in the future.Lanternfishes(family Myctophidae)are predicted to migrate poleward more than other families(Paralepididae,Nototheniidae,Bathylagidae,and Gonostomatidae).In comparison,lanternfishes were projected to increase habitat area in the eastern SO but lose area in the western SO;the opposite was projected for species in other families.Important areas(IAs)of meso-fish are mainly distributed near the Antarctic Peninsula and East Antarctica.Negotiated protected area cover 23% of IAs at present and 38%of IAs in the future(RCP8.5,long-term future).Many IAs of meso-fish still need to be included in protected areas,such as the Prydz Bay and the seas around the Antarctic Peninsula.Our results provide a framework for evaluating protected areas incorporating climate change adaptation strategies for protected areas management. | Shuhao Liu Yang Liu Katharina Teschke Mark AHindell Rachel Downey Briannyn Woods Bin Kang Shuyang Ma Chi Zhang Jianchao Li Zhenjiang Ye Peng Sun Jianfeng He Yongjun Tian | 2024 | Marine Life Science & Technology2024,6,1: | 0 |

| 13 | A Pore-Forming Strategy Toward Porous Carbon-Based Substrates for High Performance Flexible Lithium Metal Full Batteries显示文摘Self-standing carbon-based substrates with satisfied structural stability and property adjustability have promising applications in flexible lithium(Li)metal batteries(FLMBs).Current strategies for modifying carbon materials are normally carried out on powder carbon,and very few of them are suitable for self-standing carbon substrates.Herein,a pore-forming strategy based on the redox chemistry of metallic oxide nanodots is developed to prepare two porous carbon substrates for anode and cathode.Starting with cotton cloth,the resulting hollow carbon fibers substrate with nanopores effectively prevents from Li dendrites formation and large volume change in lithium metal anode(LMA).Simulations indicate that the porous structure leads to homogeneous ion flux,Li-ion concentration,and electric field during Li deposition.Li symmetrical cell based on this substrate remains stable for 8300 h with an ultralow voltage hysteresis of 9 mV.Via a similar route,porous carbon cloth substrate is obtained for subsequently seeding V_(2)O_(5)nanowires to prepare the cathode.The assembled FLMBs pouch cell delivers a capacity of 8.2 mAh with a high capacity retention of~100%even under dramatic deformation.The demonstrated strategy has far-reaching potential in preparing free-standing porous carbon-based materials for flexible energy storage devices. | Yanfei Li Shuyang Ye Jian Lin Yihan Song Xinglong Wu Jingping Zhang Changlu Shao Zhongmin Su Haizhu Sun Dwight S.Seferos | 2023 | Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3: | 0 |
