1A comprehensive review of integrative pharmacology-based investigation:A paradigm shift in traditional Chinese medicine显示文摘Over the past decade,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has widely embraced systems biology and its various data integration approaches to promote its modernization.Thus,integrative pharmacology-based traditional Chinese medicine(TCMIP) was proposed as a paradigm shift in TCM.This review focuses on the presentation of this novel concept and the main research contents,methodologies and applications of TCMIP.First,TCMIP is an interdisciplinary science that can establish qualitative and quantitative pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics(PK-PD) correlations through the integration of knowledge from multiple disciplines and techniques and from different PK-PD processes in vivo.Then,the main research contents of TCMIP are introduced as follows:chemical and ADME/PK profiles of TCM formulas;confirming the three forms of active substances and the three action modes;establishing the qualitative PK-PD correlation;and building the quantitative PK-PD correlations,etc.After that,we summarize the existing data resources,computational models and experimental methods of TCMIP and highlight the urgent establishment of mathematical modeling and experimental methods.Finally,we further discuss the applications of TCMIP for the improvement of TCM quality control,clarification of the molecular mechanisms underlying the actions of TCMs and discovery of potential new drugs,especially TCM-related combination drug disco very.Haiyu Xu Yanqiong Zhang Ping Wang Junhong Zhang Hong Chen Luoqi Zhang Xia Du Chunhui Zhao Dan Wu Feng Liu Hongjun Yang Changxiao Liu 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:18
2Petrogenesis of the Xihuashan Granite in Southern Jiangxi Province,South China:Constraints from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology,Geochemistry and Nd Isotopes显示文摘Mesozoic granitic intrusions are widely distributed in the Nanling region,South China.Yanshanian granites are closely connected with the formation of tungsten deposits.The Xihuashan granite is a typical representative of tungsten-bearing granite.The Xihuashan granite consists mainly of medium-grained porphyritic biotite granite,medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite,which correspond to LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages of 155.5±0.4 Ma,153.0±0.6 Ma and 152.8±0.9 Ma,respectively.Rocks from the Xihuashan mining area displays high SiO2(73.85% to 76.49%) and Na2O+K2O contents(8.09% to 9.43%),belonging to high-K calc-alkaline series.They are metaluminous to weakly peraluminous with A/CNK values ranging from 0.96 to 1.06.All granites in this study area are rich in Rb,Th,U and Pb,and depleted in Ba,Sr,P,Ti,Nb and Eu,especially depleted in medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite.The medium-grained porphyritic biotite granites usually have high LREE concentrations,whereas medium-grained biotite granite and fine-grained two-mica granite displays high HREE contents.Our geochemical data reveal that the studied rocks are highly fractionated I-type granite.The magma underwent strong magma differentiation with decreasing temperature and increasing oxygen fugacity,which may explain the formation of three types of distinct granites.Variations of Rb,Sr and Ba concentrations in different type granites were controlled by fractional crystallization of biotite and feldspar.Fractional crystallization of monazite,allanite and apatite resulted in LREE changes in granite,and formation of garnet mainly caused HREE changes.Granites from the Xihuashan mining area have relatively high εNd(t) values(-9.77 to -11.46),indicating that they were probably generated by partial melting of underlying Proterozoic metasedimentary rocks with minor addition of juvenile crust or mantle-derived magmas.YANG Jiehua PENG Jiantang ZHAO Junhong FU Yazhou YANG Chen HONG Yinglong 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:17

4Optimization of air quantity regulation in mine ventilation networks using the improved differential evolution algorithm and critical path method显示文摘In mine ventilation networks, the reasonable airflow distribution is very important for the production safety and economy. Three basic problems of the natural, full-controlled and semi-controlled splitting were reviewed in the paper. Aiming at the high difficulty semi-controlled splitting problem, the general nonlinear multi-objectives optimization mathematical model with constraints was established based on the theory of mine ventilation networks. A new algorithm, which combined the improved differential evaluation and the critical path method(CPM) based on the multivariable separate solution strategy,was put forward to search for the global optimal solution more efficiently. In each step of evolution,the feasible solutions of air quantity distribution are firstly produced by the improved differential evolution algorithm, and then the optimal solutions of regulator pressure drop are obtained by the CPM.Through finite steps iterations, the optimal solution can be given. In this new algorithm, the population of feasible solutions were sorted and grouped for enhancing the global search ability and the individuals in general group were randomly initialized for keeping diversity. Meanwhile, the individual neighborhood in the fine group which may be closely to the optimal solutions were searched locally and slightly for achieving a balance between global searching and local searching, thus improving the convergence rate. The computer program was developed based on this method. Finally, the two ventilation networks with single-fan and multi-fans were solved. The results show that this algorithm has advantages of high effectiveness, fast convergence, good robustness and flexibility. 5Facile,Noncovalent Decoration of Graphene Oxide Sheets with Nanocrystals显示文摘Facile dry decoration of graphene oxide sheets with aerosol Ag nanocrystals synthesized from an arc plasma source has been demonstrated using an electrostatic force directed assembly technique at room temperature.The Ag nanocrystal-graphene oxide hybrid structure was characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and selected area diffraction.The ripening of Ag nanocrystals on a graphene oxide sheet was studied by consecutive TEM imaging of the same region on a sample after heating in Ar at elevated temperatures of 100°C,200°C,and 300°C.The average size of Ag nanocrystals increased and the number density decreased after the annealing process.In particular,migration and coalescence of Ag nanocrystals were observed at a temperature as low as 100°C,suggesting a van der Waals interaction between the Ag nanocrystal and the graphene oxide sheet.The availability of affordable graphene-nanocrystal structures and their fundamental properties will open up new opportunities for nanoscience and nanotechnology and accelerate their applications.Ganhua Lu Shun Mao Sungjin Park Rodney S.Ruoff Junhong Chen 2009Nano Research2009,2,3:13

8Preoperative diagnosis and operative effect of intracranial aneurysm with three-dimensional computed tomography angiography显示文摘BACKGROUND: Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is always regarded as the golden standard for diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm; however, the procedure is complex, traumatic, expensive and easy to induce vascular complication. Three-dimensional computed tomography angiography (3D-CTA) can make up deficiencies of DSA; therefore, it is used in clinical therapy wider and wider. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical effect of 3D-CTA on disruption and hemorrhage of intracranial aneurysm pre- and post-operation and compare with the effect of DSA.DESIGN: Auto-control contrast observation.SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery, Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University.PARTICIPANTS: A number of 106 patients with disruption and hemorrhage of intracranial aneurysm were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery, Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from January 2003 to April 2006. All patients were diagnosed with cranial operation and consent. There were 47 males and 59 females aged from 3-76 years with the mean age of (47±13) years. Among them, 82 patients had extensive subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), 7 had hemorrhage at longitudinal fissure, and 17 had hemorrhage at ambiens cisterna and lateral fissure. Moreover, intraventricular hematocele was accompanied on 13 patients and hematom on 9 patients. METHODS: ① 3D-CTA examination: Siemens SOMATOM Sensation 64 CT was used in this study. The thickness was 1 mm and interval of reconstruction was 0.8 mm. Localizing section was plainly scanned as the standard of canthus line. Scan ranged from 30 mm below sella to 50 mm above sella. Non-ion contrast medium of Omnipaque 350 (concentration of iodine was 350 g/L) was inserted into anterior vein of elbow with 18G trochar retained with high-pressured injectoc pum. The speed was 4.5 mL/s and the total volume was 80-100 mL with the means of 90 mL. Scan started at 10-20 s after injection of contrast medium. Original image was dealt with Leonardo workstation and retreated with Syngo software. Volume rendering and maximum intensity projection were used to reconstructed images. ② All 106 patients suffered from occlusion of aneurysm clamp. Before operation, 3D-CTA was undertaken and DSA was followed. After operation, patients were rechecked with 3D-CTA. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Comparisons between 3D-CTA and DSA.RESULTS: All 106 patients were involved in the final analysis. ① Examination of 3D-CTA and DSA: Among 118 patients with aneurysm, 110 were checked with 3D-CTA and the detected rate was 93.2% (110/118). Among other 8 cases, 3 were negative and checked again with DSA; 1 had pericallosal aneurysm, 1 ophthalmic aneurysm, and 1 anterior choroidal artery of aneurysm. 3D-CTA results of other 5 cases were suspicious, and then, they were regarded as having aneurysm with DSA. Before operation, correlation among site, body, neck of aneurysm and peripheral anatomic structure were shown sufficiently. After operation, 82 patients were rechecked with 3D-CTA, which was complete occlusion, precise, unobvious constriction, emphraxis or remains as compared with 3D-CTA those pre-operation. ② Characteristics of 3D-CTA: With multiple vessels and angles, 3D-CTA observed the relationship between aneurysm neck and carried artery and showed thrombosis in cavity of aneurysm, calcification of aneurysm wall and peripheral structure of vessel at the same time. However, DSA could not detect the reactions mentioned above. It could delete image of cranium, simulate image of operative route, eliminate artifact induced by metal, but not distinguish blood stream direction. Meanwhile, posterior communicating artery was always poor during circle of Willis artery showing. CONCLUSION: ① 3D-CTA is characterized by simple operation and non-invasive showing vascular stereo structure and correlation. 13^(226)Ra evidence for the ecosystem shift over the past 40 years in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre显示文摘Surface seawater was collected for ^(226)Ra measurement in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre from July to October, 1999 and October to December, 2003. Combined with the historical data reported for this sea area, a declined trend of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations was observed since 1960s, indicating the ecosystem shift in response to global warming. On one side, the enhanced stratification of the upper water column resulting from global warming reduced the ^(226)Ra input from the depth, on the other, the temporal increase of biological production resulting from the climate-related ecosystem structure change strengthened the ^(226)Ra removal from the surface ocean. Both the physical and biological processes resulted in the decrease of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. The temporal trend of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations was consistent with the trends of chlorophyll a, silicate, phosphate and primary production previously reported. 14Effects of three needling manipulations of the right-side Zusanli(ST 36) on brain using functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects on the brain using three needling manipulations(twirling, lifting-thrusting, and twirling plus lifting-thrusting)when the right-side Zusanli(ST 36) acupoint was stimulated with needles.METHODS: Seventeen healthy subjects accepted three needling manipulations stimulating the right Zusanli(ST 36) over separate days. Functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to detect changes in the brain during the manipulations, and then the needling sensations were recorded using the MGH acupuncture sensation scale(MASS) after each scan. f MRI data were processed using Statistical Parametric Mapping 8 to analyze the positiveand negative activation in the brain induced by different acupuncture manipulations.RESULTS: The individual needling sensations showed no statistically significant differences among the three manipulations. However, the MASS index showed that lifting-thrusting > twirling plus lifting-thrusting > twirling. Lifting-thrusting activated left premotor cortex, left postcentral,right middle frontal gyrus, left inferior frontal gyrus,right lingual gyrus, left insula, right putamen, bilateral cingulate gyrus and right cerebellum; and deactivated bilateral hippocampus and left caudate.Twirling activated bilateral orbital middle frontal gyrus, left opercular and triangular inferior frontal gyrus, and right middle occipital gyrus; and deactivated bilateral precuneus, right amygdala, left anterior cingulate gyrus, right inferior temporal gyrus,right middle frontal gyrus, right supplementary motor gyrus, and left postcentral. Twirling plus lifting-thrusting activated bilateral postcentral, left inferior occipital gyrus, left insula, left thalamus, left cingulate gyrus, and right putamen; and deactivated right superior frontal gyrus, right superior parietal gyrus, right temporal gyrus, right middle occipital gyrus, right insula, and left lingual gyrus. Pairwise comparisons of the three manipulations showed that signals induced by lifting-thrusting were the strongest, especially in the limbic system,followed by twirling plus lifting-thrusting; twirling alone was the weakest.CONCLUSION: Three methods of needling manipulations similarly activated areas associated with the somatosensory system, vision, cognition, and emotional regulation. 16Transcription factor WRKY22 regulates canker susceptibility in sweet orange (Citrus sinensis Osbeck) by enhancing cell enlargement and CsLOB1 expression显示文摘Pathological hypertrophy(cell enlargement)plays an important role in the development of citrus canker,but its regulators are largely unknown.Although WRKY22 is known to be involved in pathogen-triggered immunity and positively regulates resistance to bacterial pathogens in Arabidopsis,rice and pepper,the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated partial knockout of CsWRKY22 improves resistance to Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri(Xcc)in Wanjincheng orange(Citrus sinensis Osbeck).Here,we demonstrate that CsWRKY22 is a nucleus-localized transcriptional activator.CsWRKY22-overexpressing plants exhibited dwarf phenotypes that had wrinkled and thickened leaves and were more sensitive to Xcc,whereas CsWRKY22-silenced plants showed no visible phenotype changes and were more resistant to Xcc.Microscopic observations revealed that the overexpression of CsWRKY22 increased cell size in the spongy mesophyll.Transcriptome analysis showed that cell growth-related pathways,such as the auxin and brassinosteroid hormonal signaling and cell wall organization and biogenesis pathways,were significantly upregulated upon CsWRKY22 overexpression.Interestingly,CsWRKY22 activated the expression of CsLOB1,which is a key gene regulating susceptibility to citrus canker.We further confirmed that CsWRKY22 bound directly to the W-boxes just upstream of the transcription start site of CsLOB1 in vivo and in vitro.We conclude that CsWRKY22 enhances susceptibility to citrus canker by promoting host hypertrophy and CsLOB1 expression.Thus,our study provides new insights into the mechanism regulating pathological hypertrophy and the function of WRKY22 in citrus.Qin Long Meixia Du Junhong Long Yu Xie Jingyun Zhang Lanzhen Xu Yongrui He Qiang Li Shanchun Chen Xiuping Zou 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5
17Physical and mechanical properties of hot-press sintering ternary CM_2A_8(CaMg_2Al_(16)O_(27))and C_2M_2A_(14)(Ca_2Mg_2Al_(28)O_(46))ceramics显示文摘The new ternary CM_2A_8(CaMg_2Al_(16)O_(27))and C_2M_2A_(14)(Ca_2Mg_2Al_(28)O_(46))pure and dense ceramics were first prepared by a hot-press sintering technique,and their physical and mechanical properties were investigated.The purity of obtained CM_2A_8 and C_2M_2A_(14) ceramics reaches 98.1 wt%and 97.5 wt%,respectively.Their microstructure is dense with few observable pores,and their grain size is about a few dozen microns.For their physical properties,the average apparent porosity of CM_2A_8 and C_2M_2A_(14) ceramics is 0.18% and 0.13%,and their average bulk density is 3.66 g/cm^3 and 3.71 g/cm^3,respectively.The relative density of CM_2A_8 ceramic is 98.12%and that of C_2M_2A_(14)ceramic is 98.67%.The thermal expansivity(50–1400℃)of CM_2A_8 and C_2M_2A_(14) ceramics is 9.24×10^(–6)K^(–1) and 8.92×10^(–6)K^(–1),respectively.The thermal conductivity of CM_2A_8 and C_2M_2A_(14) ceramic is 21.32 W/(m·K)and 23.25 W/(m·K)at 25℃and 18.76 W/(m·K)and 19.42 W/(m·K)as temperature rises to 350℃,respectively.In addition,the mechanical properties are also achieved.For CM_2A_8 ceramic,the flexural strength is 248 MPa,the fracture toughness is 2.17 MPa·m^(1/2),and the Vickers hardness is 12.26 GPa.For C_2M_2A_(14) ceramic,the flexural strength is 262 MPa,the fracture toughness is 2.23 MPa·m^(1/2),and the Vickers hardness is 12.95 GPa.Bin LI Guangqi LI Haiyang CHEN Junhong CHEN Xinmei HOU Yong LI 2018Journal of Advanced Ceramics2018,7,3:4
18Cytotoxicity and penetration enhancement activity of essential oils from warming the interior medicinals with hot or warm property in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate on the cytotoxicity and penetration enhancement effect of essential oils(EOs) from warming the interior medicinals(WIM)from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: EOs were extracted from WIM of Bichengqie(Litseae Fructus), Dingxiang(Flos Syzygii Aromatici), Huajiao(Pericorpium Zanthoxyli Bungeani), and Xiaohuixiang(Fructus Foeniculi) with warm nature, and Ganjiang(Rhizoma Zingiberis),Gaoliangjiang(Rhizoma Alpinioe Officinari), Rougui(Cortex Cinnamomi Cassioe), and Wuzhuyu(Fructus Evodiae Rutoecorpae) with hot nature; respectively.Their chemical compositions were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The cytotoxicity of the extracted eight EOs on HaCaT cells was measured and compared. Moreover, analyses of cell cycle and cell apoptosis were performed to investigate the cytotoxic mechanism.The transdermal penetration enhancement effects of the extracted eight EOs on ibuprofen were further compared by the modified Franz diffusion cell method.RESULTS: The most abundant constituents in the extracted eight EOs were determined to be monoterpenes, especially oxygen containing monoterpenes.The HaCaT cell cytotoxicity of EOs from WIM with hot nature were significantly(P = 0.020) higher than that with warm nature. Both ginger oil and zanthoxylum oil significantly induced G0/G1 phase arrestment in HaCaT cell cycle. For ginger oil from WIM with hot nature and zanthoxylum oil from WIM with warm nature, the main mechanisms of the cytotoxicity were found to be the induction of cellular necrosis and the cellular apoptosis, respectively. Furthermore, most of the tested EOs showed remarkable penetration enhancement activity on ibuprofen. 19Influence of particle composition on thorium scavenging in the marginal China seas显示文摘Thorium-234 and particle composition (organic matter, biogenic silica, carbonate and lithogenic component) were examined in the East China Sea (ECS) and the northern South China Sea (NSCS) in order to constrain the particle types scavenging thorium isotopes. Good positive correlations be-tween particulate organic matter (POM) or carbonate and thorium-234 in suspended particulate matter (SPM) indicates that POM and carbonate are efficient to scavenge thorium-234. No relation-ship between biogenic silica and thorium-234 suggests that geochemical behavior of thorium-234 may be not influenced by biogenic silica. A simple model was used to evaluate the affinity of thorium-234 to different particle components. The results show that POM is the most efficient scavenger for thorium-234 in the ECS and the NSCS, followed by carbonate. The authors’ re-sults lend support to the utility of thorium-234 as a proxy of POC and carbonate in the upper layer.
