1Geniposide, the component of the Chinese herbal formula Tongluojiunao, protects amyloid-β peptide(1–42)-mediated death of hippocampal neurons via the non-classical estrogen signaling pathway显示文摘Tongluojiunao(TLJN) is an herbal medicine consisting of two main components, geniposide and ginsenoside Rg1. TLJN has been shown to protect primary cultured hippocampal neurons. However, its mechanism of action remains unclear. In the present study, primary cultured hippocampal neurons treated with Aβ1–42(10 μmol/L) significantly increased the release of lactate dehydrogenase, which was markedly reduced by TLJN(2 μL/mL), specifically by the component geniposide(26 μmol/L), but not ginsenoside Rg1(2.5 μmol/L). The estrogen receptor inhibitor, ICI182780(1 μmol/L), did not block TLJN- or geniposide-mediated decrease of lactate dehydrogenase under Aβ1–42-exposed conditions. However, the phosphatidyl inositol 3-kinase or mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway inhibitor, LY294002(50 μmol/L) or U0126(10 μmol/L), respectively blo cked the decrease of lactate dehydrogenase mediated by TLJN or geniposide. 5Pseudocapacitive desalination via valence engineering with spindle-like manganese oxide/carbon composites显示文摘Manganese tetravalent oxide(MnO_(2)),a superstar Faradic electrode material,has been investigated extensively for capacitive desalination,enabling higher salt adsorption capacity compared to the great majority of carbonous electrodes.However,few works paid attention on the relationship between the valences of manganese oxide and their desalination performance.For the first time,we prepared the spindle-like manganese oxides/carbon composites with divalent(MnO@C),trivalent(Mn_(2)O_(3)@C)and divalent/trivalent(Mn_(3)O_(4)@C)manganese by pyrolysis of manganese carbonate precursor under different condition,respectively.The electrochemical behavior in three-electrode system and electrosorption performance obtained in hybrid membrane capacitive deionization(HMCDI)cells assembled with capacitive carbon electrodes were systematically evaluated,respectively.High salt adsorption capacity(as large as 31.3,22.2,and 18.9 mg·g^(−1))and corresponding average salt adsorption rates(0.83,0.53,and 1.71 mg·g^(−1)min−1)were achieved in 500 mg·L^(−1) NaCl solution for MnO@C,Mn_(2)O_(3)@C,and Mn_(3)O_(4)@C,respectively.During fifteen electrosorption-desorption cycles,ex-situ water contact angle and morphology comparison analysis demonstrated the superior cycling durability of the manganese oxide electrodes and subtle difference between their surface redox.Furthermore,density functional theory(DFT)was also conducted to elaborate the disparity among the valence states of manganese(+2,+3 and +2/+3)for in-depth understanding.This work introduced manganese oxide with various valences to blaze new trails for developing novel Faradic electrode materials with high-efficiency desalination performance by valence engineering.Yingsheng Xu Shuhong Xiang Hengjian Mao Hongjian Zhou Guozhong Wang Haimin Zhang Huijun Zhao 2021Nano Research2021,14,12:0
6Analysis of Gas and Liquid Two-Phase Slug Flow Production Logging Interpretation Model in near Horizontal Shale Gas Wells显示文摘The development of shale gas reservoir is mainly based on horizontal well production.Slug flow of gas-liquid two-phase is invariably encountered in inclined wells and horizontal wells of a producing environment.Due to gravitational differentiation,oil-water two-phase flow pattern,the local velocity and local phase holdup along the radial direction of pipe in near horizontal wells will perform complicatedly.This paper presented the results of an experimental study and a theoretical analysis of two-phase gas/water flow in horizontal and highly inclined systems.Extensive experiments were conducted using a test loop made of 124 mm diameter acrylic pipe with inclination angles from the horizontal of 0°,5°,15°,45°,°2°,°5°and°10°,and with the total flow rate ranging from 50 to 800 m3/day.Based on the research on the law of slug flow dynamics model for gas-water two-phase flow in near horizontal pipeline,the theoretical analysis and experimental researches were done to propose the expressions of stable and exact production logging interpretation model for two-phase flow in near horizontal pipeline.The performance of the proposed method for estimating water holdup and water superficial velocity is in good agreement with our measurements.As a result,the slug flow dynamics model of gas-water two-phase flow in near horizontal wellbore was developed.The application effect of production logging in near horizontal wells had been improved.Hongwei Song Haimin Guo Sihui Xu 2019Open Journal of Yangtze Oil and Gas2019,4,2:0
7Comparison between the eruptive X2.2 flare on 2011 February15 and confined X3.1 flare on 2014 October 24显示文摘We compare two contrasting X-class flares in terms of magnetic free energy, relative magnetic helicity and decay index of the active regions(ARs) in which they occurred. The events in question are the eruptive X2.2 flare from AR 11158 accompanied by a halo coronal mass ejection(CME) and the confined X3.1 flare from AR 12192 with no associated CME. These two flares exhibit similar behavior of free magnetic energy and helicity buildup for a few days preceding them. A major difference between the two flares is found to lie in the time-dependent change of magnetic helicity of the ARs that hosted them. AR 11158 shows a significant decrease in magnetic helicity starting ~4 hours prior to the flare, but no apparent decrease in helicity is observed in AR 12192. By examining the magnetic helicity injection rates in terms of sign, we confirmed that the drastic decrease in magnetic helicity before the eruptive X2.2 flare was not caused by the injection of reversed helicity through the photosphere but rather the CME-related change in the coronal magnetic field. Another major difference we find is that AR 11158 had a significantly larger decay index and therefore weaker overlying field than AR 12192. 8Molecular movements of trehalose inside a single network enabling a rapidly-recoverable tough hydrogel显示文摘It remains a challenge to achieve rapidly recoverable hydrogels by molecular hydrogen-bonding interaction because of its slow inter-action kinetics.This work for the first time reports a trehalose(Tre)-based molecular movement mechanism inside a single network of polyacrylamide(PAM)that accelerates the kinetics of hydrogenbonding interaction,and thereby endows the hydrogel with high toughness and rapid shape and mechanical recoverability.The resultant PAM@Tre hydrogel is capable of full shape recovery after 10,000 loading/unloading cycles at a strain of 500%.Even after being stretched at a strain of 2500%,it can recover to its original shape within 10 seconds.Moreover,the molecular movement of trehalose also endows the PAM@Tre hydrogel with fracture energy and toughness as high as~9000 J m^(-2) and~1600 kJ m^(-3),respec-tively,leading to strong resistance to both static and dynamic piercing.The PAM@Tre hydrogel is thus believed to have enormous potentials in protection devices,bionic skin,soft actuator,and stretchable electronics.Xiaowen Huang Jimin Fu Huiyan Tan Yan Miu Mengda Xu Qiuhua Zhao Yujie Xie Shengtong Sun Haimin Yao Lidong Zhang 2022International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2022,13,4:0
9The Energetics of White-light Flares Observed by SDO/HMI and RHESSI显示文摘White-light(WL) flares have been observed and studied for more than a century since their first discovery. However, some fundamental physics behind the brilliant emission remains highly controversial.One of the important facts in addressing the flare energetics is the spatio-temporal correlation between the WL emission and the hard X-ray(HXR) radiation, presumably suggesting that energetic electrons are the energy sources. In this study, we present a statistical analysis of 25 strong flares(≥M5) observed simultaneously by the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager(HMI), on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory(SDO),and the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager(RHESSI). Among these events, WL emission was detected by SDO/HMI in 13 flares, associated with HXR emission. To quantitatively describe the strength of WL emission, equivalent area(EA) is defined as the integrated contrast enhancement over the entire flaring area. Our results show that the EA is inversely proportional to the HXR power-law index,indicating that stronger WL emission tends to be associated with a larger population of high energy electrons. However, no obvious correlation is found between WL emission and flux of non-thermal electrons at50 ke V.
