12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Sonodynamic therapy(SDT): a novel strategy for cancer nanotheranostics显示文摘Sonodynamic therapy(SDT) is a promising non-invasive therapeutic modality. Compared to photo-inspired therapy, SDT provides many opportunities and benefits, including deeper tissue penetration, high precision, less side effects, and good patient compliance. Thanks to the facile engineerable nature of nanotechnology, nanoparticles-based sonosensitizers exhibit predominant advantages, such as increased SDT efficacy, binding avidity, and targeting specificity. This review aims to summarize the possible mechanisms of SDT, which can be expected to provide the theoretical basis for SDT development in the future. We also extensively discuss nanoparticle-assisted sonosensitizers to enhance the outcome of SDT. 3Effect of additive boron on type-Ib gem diamond single crystals synthesized under HPHT显示文摘The boron-doped type-Ib gem diamond crystals were synthesized successfully by adding amorphous boron into a system of graphite and Kovar catalyst under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT).The effect of additive boron on type-Ib gem diamond was extensively studied including the growth characteristic,morphology and nitrogen concentration.The synthesized boron-doped type-Ib gem diamond crystals were characterized by optical microscope (OM),scanning electron microscope (SEM) and infrared spectrometer (IR).The results show that the growth region of the {111} face becomes wide,whereas the growth region of the {100} face becomes narrow and nearly disappears as increasing additive boron in the sample.The crystal will be opaque and imperfect,and the concentration of nitrogen will be decreased when the boron atoms are incorporated into gem diamond lattice.These techniques are very important and will be widely applied.MA LiQiu MA HongAn XIAO HongYu LI ShangSheng LI Yong JIA XiaoPeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,8:8
4Effects of carbon diffusing field in alloy solvent on the growth of tower-shape diamond single crystal显示文摘High-quality type-Ib tower-shape diamond single crystals were synthesized in cubic anvil high pressure apparatus (SPD-6×1200) at 5.4 GPa and 1250-1450°C. The (100) face of seed crystal was used as the growth face, and FeNiMnCo alloy was used as the solvent/catalyst. Two kinds of carbon diffusing fields (type-B and type-G) were simulated by finite element method (FEM). Using the two kinds of carbon diffusing fields, many diamond single crystals were synthesized. The effects of carbon diffusing fields on the crystal quality and β value (the ratio of height to diameter of diamond crystal) were studied. The results show that using type-B diffusing field, considerable inclusions appeared in tower-shape diamond crystals with high β values; however, using type- G diffusing field, inclusions were reduced markedly in high β values tower-shape diamond crystals, and the crystal, up to 0.6 carat in weight and 5.3 mm in size, was synthesized. 6Dependence of nitrogen concentration in type Ib diamonds on synthesis temperature显示文摘Type Ib diamonds were grown by the temperature gradient method (TGM) at 5.5 GPa and 1500-1560 K in a china-type cubic anvil high pressure apparatus using Ni70Mn25Co5 alloy as solvent/catalyst. The concentration of nitrogen (CN) in type Ib diamonds synthesized at different synthesis temperatures was measured by a Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer. The dependence of CN in diamond on synthesis temperature was studied. 7Application of regional citrate anticoagulation in patients at high risk of bleeding during intermittent hemodialysis:a prospective multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)combined with sequential anticoagulation and standard calcium-containing dialysate in intermittent hemodialysis(IHD)treatment.Methods:Patients at high risk of bleeding who underwent IHD from September 2019 to May 2021 were prospectively enrolled in 13 blood purification centers of nephrology departments,and were randomly divided into RCA group and saline flushing group.In the RCA group,0.04 g/mL sodium citrate was infused from the start of the dialysis line during blood draining and at the venous expansion chamber.The sodium citrate was stopped after 3 h of dialysis,which was changed to sequential dialysis without anticoagulant.The hazard ratios for coagulation were according to baseline.Results:A total of 159 patients and 208 sessions were enrolled,including RCA group(80 patients,110 sessions)and saline flushing group(79 patients,98 sessions).The incidence of severe coagulation events of extracorporeal circulation in the RCA group was significantly lower than that in the saline flushing group(3.64%vs.20.41%,P<0.001).The survival time of the filter pipeline in the RCA group was significantly longer than that in the saline flushing group((238.34±9.33)min vs.(221.73±34.10)min,P<0.001).The urea clearance index(Kt/V)in the RCA group was similar to that in the saline flushing group with no statistically significant difference(1.12±0.34 vs.1.08±0.34,P=0.41).Conclusions:Compared with saline flushing,the two-stage RCA combined with a sequential anticoagulation strategy significantly reduced extracorporeal circulation clotting events and prolonged the dialysis time without serious adverse events.Xiaoyan TANG Dezheng CHEN Ling ZHANG Ping FU Yanxia CHEN Zhou XIAO Xiangcheng XIAO Weisheng PENG Li CHENG Yanmin ZHANG Hongbo LI Kehui LI Bizhen GOU Xin WU Qian YU Lijun JIAN Zaizhi ZHU Yu WEN Cheng LIU Hen XUE Hongyu ZHANG Xin HE Bin YAN Liping ZHONG Bin HUANG Mingying MAO 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,11:4
8Performance of BCC-CSM Models with Different Horizontal Resolutions in Simulating Extreme Climate Events in China显示文摘In this study,the performance of the Beijing Climate Center(BCC)Climate System Model version 1.1(BCCCSM1.1)(280-km resolution)and the BCC-CSM1.1 m(110-km resolution)in simulating extreme climate events over China in the last 40 years is compared.Both models capture the main spatial distribution features of heavy precipitation(R95T),the number of consecutive wet days(CWD),the annual count of days with precipitation≥1 mm(R1),the maximum consecutive 5-day precipitation(Rx5),and the numbers of frost days(FD)and summer days(SU).The BCC-CSM1.1 m has a better ability to simulate the detailed distribution of extreme climate events than the BCCCSM1.1,including R95T,CWD,R1,and the simple precipitation intensity index(SDII).However,the BCCCSM 1.1 m does not show an improvement in simulating the number of days with extreme precipitation(R90N),the number of consecutive dry days(CDD),the heat wave duration index(HWDI),the warm day frequency(TX90 P),and cold night frequency(TN10P).This indicates that the simulation of the R95T,CWD,R1,and SDII climate events is more sensitive to the resolution of the model.The improved BCC-CSM1.1 m is used to explore the projection of extreme climate change in China during the 21 st century under the RCP4.5(Representative Concentration Pathways)and RCP8.5 scenarios.The results show that extreme precipitation will increase dramatically over North and Southwest China in the late 21 st century.The CWD index will decrease on the Tibetan Plateau and in northeastern and central China and will increase in other parts of China;R1 will increase in northern China and decrease in southern China;Rx5 will increase dramatically in southern China;FD will decrease and SU will increase over China in the late 21 st century under both emission scenarios,with larger amplitudes in RCP8.5.Linxiao WEI Xiaoge XIN Chan XIAO Yonghua LI Yao WU Hongyu TANG 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4:3
9Cobalt and nitrogen codoped porous carbon as superior bifunctional electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline medium显示文摘Cobalt and nitrogen codoped carbon materials(Co-N-C) were fabricated by pyrolysis of the mixture of poly(4-vinylpyridine) and cobalt chloride using SiO_2 nanoparticles as hard template, which were the first transition metal/nitrogen-codoped carbon bifunctional electrocatalyst derived from noncarbonizable polymer for ORR and HER. The as-made Co-N-C possessed hierarchical pore structure and high specific surface area, achieving excellent electrocatalytic performances for ORR and HER. Its ORR catalytic performances were comparable to those of Pt/C catalyst and its HER catalytic performances were superior to those of most doped carbon catalysts in KOH electrolyte. 10Delivery of pOXR1 through an injectable liposomal nanoparticle enhances spinal cord injury regeneration by alleviating oxidative stress显示文摘Oxidation resistance 1(OXR1)is regarded as a critical regulator of cellular homeostasis in response to oxidative stress.However,the role of OXR1 in the neuronal response to spinal cord injury(SCI)remains undefined.On the other hand,gene therapy for SCI has shown limited success to date due in part to the poor utility of conventional gene vectors.In this study,we evaluated the function of OXR1 in SCI and developed an available carrier for delivering the OXR1 plasmid(pOXR1).We found that OXR1 expression is remarkably increased after SCI and that this regulation is protective after SCI.Meanwhile,we assembled cationic nanoparticles with vitamin E succinate-graftedε-polylysine(VES-g-PLL)(Nps).The pOXR1 was precompressed with Nps and then encapsulated into cationic liposomes.The particle size of pOXR1 was compressed to 58 nm,which suggests that pOXR1 can be encapsulated inside liposomes with high encapsulation efficiency and stability to enhance the transfection efficiency.The agarose gel results indicated that Nps-pOXR1-Lip eliminated the degradation of DNA by DNase I and maintained its activity,and the cytotoxicity results indicated that pOXR1 was successfully transported into cells and exhibited lower cytotoxicity.Finally,Nps-pOXR1-Lip promoted functional recovery by alleviating neuronal apoptosis,attenuating oxidative stress and inhibiting inflammation.Therefore,our study provides considerable evidence that OXR1 is a beneficial factor in resistance to SCI and that Nps-Lip-pOXR1 exerts therapeutic effects in acute traumatic SCI.Jing Zhang Yao Li Jun Xiong Helin Xu Guanghen Xiang Mingqiao Fan Kailiang Zhou Yutian Lin Xiangxiang Chen Lin Xie Hongyu Zhang Jian Wang Jian Xiao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:2
11The intervention effects of Lactobacillus casei LC2W on Escherichia coli O157:H7-induced mouse colitis显示文摘This study investigated the intervention effects of Lactobacillus casei LC2W in murine(SPF C57BL/c)challenge infection models induced by Escherichia coli O157:H7.Mice were fed streptomycin with water for 3 days prior to intragastric gavage by E.coli O157:H7(Control)or L.casei LC2W together with E.coli O157:H7(Intervention)to explore the role of L.casei LC2W by biochemical indicators,histological evaluation,expression of colonic pro-inflammatory and intestinal barrier factors related to enteritis.Results showed that the administration of L.casei LC2W was able to alleviate the symptoms of colitis induced by E.coli O157:H7,exhibiting lower weight loss as well as more intact colon tissue.Furthermore,L.casei LC2W could down-regulate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β)and protect the intestinal barrier function by improving the level of MUC2,ZO-1 and E-cadherin 1 compared to the control group.These results demonstrate that L.casei LC2W can reduce the severity of E.coli O157:H7 infection,and suggest L.casei LC2W may maintain the immune balance and intestinal barrier to reduce colitis.In addition,we found the effect of intervention is similar to that of prevention,which is better than that of treatment.Guangqiang Wang Hongyu Tang Ying Zhang Xiang Xiao Yongjun Xia Lianzhong Ai 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,3:2
12Bridging the structure gap between pellets in artificial dissolution media and in gastro-intestinal tract in rats显示文摘Changes in structure of oral solid dosage forms(OSDF) elementally determine the drug release and its therapeutic effects.In this research,synchrotron radiation X-ray micro-computed tomography was utilized to visualize the 3 D structure of enteric coated pellets recovered from the gastrointestinal tract of rats.The structures of pellets in solid state and in vitro compendium media were measured.Pellets in vivo underwent morphological and structural changes which differed significantly from those in vitro compendium media.Thus,optimizations of the dissolution media were performed to mimic the appropriate in vivo conditions by introducing pepsin and glass microspheres in media.The sphericity,pellet volume,pore volume and porosity of the in vivo esomeprazole magnesium pellets in stomach for2 h were recorded 0.47,1.55 × 10^(8)μm^(3),0.44 × 10^(8)μm^(3)and 27.6%,respectively.After adding pepsin and glass microspheres,the above parameters in vitro reached to 0.44,1.64 × 10^(8)μm^(3)0.38 × 10^(8)μm^(3)and 23.0%,respectively.Omeprazole magnesium pellets behaved similarly.The structural features of pellets between in vitro media and in vivo condition were bridged successfully in terms of 3 D structures to ensure better design,characterization and quality control of advanced OSDF.Hongyu Sun Siyu He Li Wu Zeying Cao Xian Sun Mingwei Xu Shan Lu Mingdi Xu Baoming Ning Huimin Sun Tiqiao Xiao Peter York Xu Xu Xianzhen Yin Jiwen Zhang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,1:1

14Chromosome-level genome assemblies of five Prunus species and genome-wide association studies for key agronomic traits in peach显示文摘Prunus species include many important perennial fruit crops,such as peach,plum,apricot,and related wild species.Here,we report de novo genome assemblies for five species,including the cultivated species peach(Prunus persica),plum(Prunus salicina),and apricot(Prunus armeniaca),and the wild peach species Tibetan peach(Prunus mira)and Chinese wild peach(Prunus davidiana).The genomes ranged from 240 to 276 Mb in size,with contig N50 values of 2.27−8.30Mb and 25,333−27,826 protein-coding gene models.As the phylogenetic tree shows,plum diverged from its common ancestor with peach,wild peach species,and apricot~7 million years ago(MYA).We analyzed whole-genome resequencing data of 417 peach accessions,called 3,749,618 high-quality SNPs,577,154 small indels,31,800 deletions,duplications,and inversions,and 32,338 insertions,and performed a structural variant-based genome-wide association study(GWAS)of key agricultural traits.From our GWAS data,we identified a locus associated with a fruit shape corresponding to the OVATE transcription factor,where a large inversion event correlates with higher OVATE expression in flat-shaped accessions.Furthermore,a GWAS revealed a NAC transcription factor associated with fruit developmental timing that is linked to a tandem repeat variant and elevated NAC expression in early-ripening accessions.We also identified a locus encoding microRNA172d,where insertion of a transposable element into its promoter was found in double-flower accessions.Thus,our efforts have suggested roles for OVATE,a NAC transcription factor,and microRNA172d in fruit shape,fruit development period,and floral morphology,respectively,that can be connected to traits in other crops,thereby demonstrating the importance of parallel evolution in the diversification of several commercially important domesticated species.In general,these genomic resources will facilitate functional genomics,evolutionary research,and agronomic improvement of these five and other Prunus species.We believe that structural variant-based GWASs can also be used in other plants,animal species,and humans and be combined with deep sequencing GWASs to precisely identify candidate genes and genetic architecture components.Qiuping Tan Sen Li Yuzheng Zhang Min Chen Binbin Wen Shan Jiang Xiude Chen Xiling Fu Dongmei Li Hongyu Wu Yong Wang Wei Xiao Ling Li 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1

16Single Image Fog Removal Based on Local Extrema显示文摘Atmospheric conditions induced by suspended particles, such as fog and haze, severely alter the scene appearance.In this paper, we propose a novel defogging method based on the local extrema, aiming at improving the image visibility under foggy or hazy weather condition. The proposed method utilizes atmospheric scattering model to realize the fog removal.It applies the local extrema method to figure out three pyramid levels to estimate atmospheric veil, and manipulates the tone and contrast of details at different scales through multi-scale tone manipulation algorithm. 20Effects of additive boron on HPHT diamond single crystals grown by TGM显示文摘In this work, under pressure 5.4 GPa and temperature 1250-1400°C, large gem-diamond single crystals with perfect shape and different content of additive boron were synthesized using temperature gradient method. High-purity boron powders were added as boron source into the graphite powder, and the effects of additive boron on crystal growth habit were investigated in detail. The relationship between the growth rate and the amount of additive boron was studied. The scanning electron microscopy was employed to study the morphology of boron-doped diamond crystals. Raman spectroscopy and Hall measurements were used to investigate the crystal structures and the carrier concentration, respectively. The results show that with the increase of the content of boron added into graphite powder, the crystal growth rate and the carrier concentration increase firstly, and decrease afterwards, and the zone-center phonon line at 1332 cm 1 has small shift to lower energy.
