2Deep carbon cycles constrained by a large-scale mantle Mg isotope anomaly in eastern China显示文摘Although deep carbon recycling plays an important role in the atmospheric CO_2 budget and climate changes through geological time,the precise mechanisms remain poorly understood.Since recycled sedimentary carbonate through plate subduction is the main light-δ^(26)Mg reservoir within deep-Earth,Mg isotope variation in mantle-derived melts provides a novel perspective when investigating deep carbon cycling.Here,we show that the Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic continental basalts from 13 regions covering the whole of eastern China have low δ^(26)Mg isotopic compositions,while the Early Cretaceous basalts from the same area and the island arc basalts from circum-Paciic subduction zones have mantle-like or heavy Mg isotopic characteristics.hus,a large-scale mantle low δ^(26)Mg anomaly in eastern China has been delineated,suggesting the contribution of sedimentary carbonates recycled into the upper mantle,but limited into the lower mantle.his large-scale spatial and temporal variation of Mg isotopes in the mantle places severe constraints on deep carbon recycling via oceanic subduction.Shu-Guang Li Wei Yang Shah Ke Xunan Meng Hengci Tian Lijuan Xu Yongsheng He Jian Huang Xuan-Ce Wang Qunke Xia Weidong Sun Xiaoyong Yang Zhong-Yuan Ren Haiquan Wei Yongsheng Liu Fancong Meng Jun Yan 2017National Science Review2017,4,1:23
3A survey of web resources and tools for the study of TCM network pharmacology显示文摘Background: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treats diseases in a holistic manner, while TCM formulae are multi-component, multi-target agents at the molecular level. Thus there are many parallels between the key ideas of TCM pharmacology and network pharmacology. These years, TCM network pharmacology has developed as an interdisciplinary of TCM science and network pharmacology, which studies the mechanism of TCM at the molecular level and in the context of biological networks. It provides a new research paradigm that can use modern biomedical science to interpret the mechanism of TCM, which is promising to accelerate the modernization and internationalization of TCM? Results: In this paper we introduce state-of-the-art free data sources, web servers and softwares that can be used in the TCM network pharmacology, including databases of TCM, drug targets and diseases, web servers for the prediction of drug targets, and tools for network and functional analysis. 4Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al_2O_3/ZrO_2 Directionally Solidified Eutectic Ceramic Prepared by Laser 3D Printing显示文摘Directionally solidified eutectic ceramics such as(Al)_2O_3/ZrO_2 are promising structural materials for applications in harsh environment with an ultrahigh temperature. In this work, through adopting assistant heating laser 3D printing,(Al)_2O_3/ZrO_2eutectic samples were manufactured with suppressing the formation of cracks. The dependence of the average rod spacing(λav) on the scanning rate(V) follows a relation with λav V0.5= 1 μm1.5s–0.5. Typical eutectic microstructures, so-called complex regular, were analyzed with respect to its evolution with modulating the growth conditions. Formation mechanism of the solidification defect, shrinkage porosity, was discussed and the defect is found to be significantly suppressed by optimizing the solidification parameters. The maximum hardness and fracture toughness are measured to be 16.7 GPa and 4.5 MPa m1/2, respectively. 7Broadband near-infrared luminescence and energy transfer of Cr^(3+),Ce^(3+) co-doped Ca_(2)LuHf_(2)Al_(3)O_(12) phosphors显示文摘Broadband near-infrared phosphors are highly desirable for food testing.Targeted Ca_(2)LuHf_(2)Al_(3)O_(12):Cr^(3+)(CLHA:Cr^(3+)) and Ca_(2)LuHf_(2)Al_(3)O_(12):Ce^(3+),Cr^(3+)(CLHA:Ce^(3+),Cr^(^(3+))) phosphors were synthesized by the conventional high-temperature solid state reaction.The CLHA:Cr^(3+)phosphor,with a good thermal stability,shows a red shift owing to radiation reabsorption and non-radiative transition with increasing Cr^(3+)content.For co-doped sample,the emission intensity of Cr^(3+)can be enhanced by three times due to the energy transfer from Ce^(3+)to Cr^(3+),which can be evidenced by a significant overlap between the PLE of Cr^(3+)single-doped phosphor and the PL of Ce^(3+)single-doped phosphor.In addition,the mechanism of energy transfer is identified as a quadrupole-quadrupole interaction according to decay Lifetime and Dexter’s energy transfer formula.The broadband NIR emission peaked at 775 nm of CLHA:Cr^(3+),Ce^(3+)phosphor shows a bright prospect in nondestructive quality-control analysis systems for food.Jinpin Wu Weidong Zhuang Ronghui Liu Yuanhong Liu Tongyu Gao Chunpei Yan Min Cao Junhang Tian Xiaoxia Chen 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,3:6
8Near-surface wind environment in the Yarlung Zangbo River basin,southern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aeolian processes have been studied extensively at low elevations,but have been relatively little studied at high elevations.Aeolian sediments are widely distributed in the Yarlung Zangbo River basin,southern Tibetan Plateau,which is characterized by low pressure and low temperature.Here,we comprehensively analyzed the wind regime using data since 1980 from 11 meteorological stations in the study area,and examined the interaction between the near-surface wind and aeolian environment.The wind environment exhibited significant spatial and temporal variation,and mean wind speed has generally decreased on both annual and seasonal bases since 1980,at an average of 0.181 m/(s•10a).This decrease resulted from the reduced contribution of maximum wind speed,and depended strongly on variations of the frequency of sand-driving winds.The drift potential and related parameters also showed obvious spatial and temporal variation,with similar driving forces for the wind environment.The strength of the wind regime affected the formation and development of the aeolian geomorphological pattern,but with variation caused by local topography and sediment sources.The drift potential and resultant drift direction were two key parameters,as they quantify the dynamic conditions and depositional orientation of the aeolian sediments.Wind affected the spatial variation in sediment grain size,but the source material and complex topographic effects on the near-surface wind were the underlying causes for the grain size distribution of aeolian sands.These results will support efforts to control aeolian desertification in the basin and improve our understanding of aeolian processes in high-elevation environments.YANG Junhuai XIA Dunsheng WANG Shuyuan TIAN Weidong MA Xingyue CHEN Zixuan GAO Fuyuan LING Zhiyong DONG Zhibao 2020Journal of Arid Land2020,12,6:5
9Genome-wide CRISPR screen identifies synthetic lethality between DOCK1 inhibition and metformin in liver cancer显示文摘Metformin is currently a strong candidate anti-tumor agent in multiple cancers.However,its anti-tumor effectiveness varies among different cancers or sub-populations,potentially due to tumor heterogeneity.It thus remains unclear which hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patient subpopulation(s)can benefit from met-formin treatment.Here,through a genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9-based knockout screen,we find that DOCK1 levels determine the anti-tumor effects of met-formin and that DOCK1 is a synthetic lethal target of metformin in HCC.Mechanistically,metformin promotes DOCK1 phosphorylation,which activates RAC1 to facilitate cell survival,leading to metformin resistance.The DOCK1-selective inhibitor,TBOPP,potentiates anti-tumor activity by metformin in vitro in liver cancer cell lines and patient-derived HCC organoids,and in vivo in xenografted liver cancer cells and immunocompetent mouse liver cancer models.Notably,metformin improves overall survival of HCC patients with low DOCK1 levels but not among patients with high DOCK1 expression.This study shows that metformin effective-ness depends on DOCK1 levels and that combining metformin with DOCK1 inhibition may provide a promising personalized therapeutic strategy for met-formin-resistant HCC patients.Junru Feng Hui Lu Wenhao Ma Wenjing Tian Zhuan Lu Hongying Yang Yongping Cai Pengfei Cai Yuchen Sun Zilong Zhou Jiaqian Feng Jiazhong Deng Ying Shu Kun Qu Weidong Jia Ping Gao Huafeng Zhang 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,11:5
10Digital zenith telescope prototype of China显示文摘Classical optical astronomy measures the direction of the local plumb line on the stellar background,and is influenced by variations of the earth gravity field.Therefore,classical optical astrometry can be used to measure and study variations of plumb line.This endows classical optical astrometric technologies special significance for the interdisciplinary researches of astronomy and geoscience,and makes them irreplaceable by technologies like very long baseline interferometry,satellite laser ranging.However,classical astrometric instruments have a major drawback of low efficiency,such as the low automaticity,more operating observers,and even operative error which makes it very difficult to reduce the random observation error in some visual instruments.To overcome this drawback,we have successfully developed the digital zenith telescope prototype(DZT-1)with the aperture of200 mm,using charge coupled device and other advanced technologies and new equipments.As proved by test observations,DZT-1 can observe thousands of stars over one night,which significantly reduces the random observation error and increases the observation accuracy.In addition,DZT-1 has a high degree of automation,even allowing unattended observation by remote control.Besides,DZT-1 has a small-size and is easy to move,making it convenient for mobile measurement of the deflection of the vertical.In summary,DZT can be widely used in the geoscience and astronomy fields.Lili Tian Jinyun Guo Yanben Han Xiushan Lu Weidong Liu Zheng Wang Bo Wang Zhiqiang Yin Hongqi Wang 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,17:4

12The framework of a geospatial semantic web-based spatial decision support system for Digital Earth显示文摘While significant progress has been made to implement the Digital Earth vision,current implementation only makes it easy to integrate and share spatial data from distributed sources and has limited capabilities to integrate data and models for simulating social and physical processes.To achieve effectiveness of decisionmaking using Digital Earth for understanding the Earth and its systems,new infrastructures that provide capabilities of computational simulation are needed.This paper proposed a framework of geospatial semantic web-based interoperable spatial decision support systems(SDSSs)to expand capabilities of the currently implemented infrastructure of Digital Earth.Main technologies applied in the framework such as heterogeneous ontology integration,ontology-based catalog service,and web service composition were introduced.We proposed a partitionrefinement algorithm for ontology matching and integration,and an algorithm for web service discovery and composition.The proposed interoperable SDSS enables decision-makers to reuse and integrate geospatial data and geoprocessing resources from heterogeneous sources across the Internet.Based on the proposed framework,a prototype to assist in protective boundary delimitation for Lunan Stone Forest conservation was implemented to demonstrate how ontology-based web services and the services-oriented architecture can contribute to the development of interoperable SDSSs in support of Digital Earth for decision-making.Chuanrong Zhang Tian Zhao Weidong Li 2010International Journal of Digital Earth2010,3,2:4
13Recruited CD68^(+)CD206^(+)macrophages orchestrate graft immune tolerance to prompt xenogeneic-dentin matrix-based tooth root regeneration显示文摘Successful regenerative medicine strategies of xenogeneic extracellular matrix need a synergistic balance among inflammation,fibrosis,and remodeling process.Adaptive macrophage subsets have been identified to modulate inflammation and orchestrate the repair of neighboring parenchymal tissues.This study fabricated PPARγ-primed CD68+CD206+M2 phenotype(M2γ),and firstly verified their anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerating roles in xenogeneic bioengineered organ regeneration.Our results showed that Th1-type CD3^(+)CD8^(+)T cell response to xenogeneic-dentin matrix-based bioengineered root complex(xeno-complex)was significantly inhibited by M2γmacrophage in vitro.PPARγactivation also timely recruited CD68^(+)CD206^(+)tissue macrophage polarization to xeno-complex in vivo.These subsets alleviated proinflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IFN-γ)at the inflammation site and decreased CD3^(+)CD8^(+)T lymphocytes in the periphery system.When translated to an orthotopic nonhuman primate model,PPARγ-primed M2 macrophages immunosuppressed IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,MMPs to enable xeno-complex to effectively escape immune-mediated rejection and initiate graft-host synergistic integrity.These collective activities promoted the differentiation of odontoblast-like and periodontal-like cells to guide pulp-dentin and cementum-PDLs-bone regeneration and rescued partially injured odontogenesis such as DSPP and periostin expression.Finally,the regenerated root showed structure-biomechanical and functional equivalency to the native tooth.The timely conversion of M1-to-M2 macrophage mainly orchestrated odontogenesis,fibrogenesis,and osteogenesis,which represents a potential modulator for intact parenchymal-stromal tissue regeneration of targeted organs.Hui Li Jingjing Sun Hefeng Yang Xue Han Xiangyou Luo LiJun Liao Bo Yang Tian Zhu Fangjun Huo Weihua Guo Weidong Tian 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,4:2
14Inactivation of Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis by a direct-current,cold atmospheric-pressure air plasma microjet显示文摘Objective:A direct-current,cold atmospheric-pressure air plasma microjet(PMJ)was performed to inactivate Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)and Enterococcus faecalis(E.faecalis)in air.The process of sterilization and morphology of bacteria was observed.We wish to know the possible inactivation mechanisms of PMJ and explore a potential application in dental and other temperature sensitive treatment.Methods:In this study,we employed a direct current,atmospheric pressure,cold air PMJ to inactivate bacterias.Scanning electron microscopy was employed to evaluate the morphology of S.aureus and showed rupture of cell walls after the plasma treatment and Optical emission spectrum(OES)were used to understand the possible inactivation mechanisms of PMJ.Results:The inactivation rates could reach 100%in 5 min.When the distance between the exit nozzle of the PMJ device and Petri dish was extended from 1 cm to 3 cm,effective inactivation was also observed with a similar inactivation curve.Conclusion:The inactivation of bacteria is attributed to the abundant reactive oxygen and nitrogen species,as well as ultroviolet radiation in the plasma.Different life spans and defensibilities of these killing agents may hold the key to understanding the different inactivation curves at different treatment distances.Ye Tian Peng Sun Haiyan Wu Na Bai Ruixue Wang Weidong Zhu Jue Lnang Fuxiang Liu 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,4:2

16Optimization of a Centrifugal Pump Used as a Turbine Impeller By Means of an Orthogonal Test Approach显示文摘A prototype centrifugal pump with a specific speed of 110 is used to investigate and optimize the performances of a turbine for power generation.Particular attention is given to the design of the internal impeller.The internal flow field is simulated in the framework of a commercial computational fluid dynamics software(ANSYS).Four geometrical parameters of the impeller are considered,i.e.,the inlet diameter,the inlet width,the blade number,and the blade angle.The optimization is carried out on the basis of a three-level approach relying on an orthogonal test method.The results of the numerical simulations show good agreement with the experimental tests under different flow conditions.In accordance with the L9(34)design table,the head and efficiency under the rated flow rate of the nine designed schemes are calculated and processed with the method of range analysis to obtain an optimized model.Peng Tian Jun Huang Weidong Shi Ling Zhou 2019Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2019,15,2:2
17Image and data processing of digital zenith telescope(DZT-1) of China显示文摘The first digital zenith telescope prototype(DZT-1)of China was successfully developed by National Astronomical Observatories,Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shandong University of Science and Technology at the end of 2011.Compared with classical astrometric telescopes,DZT-1 has features of small size,high automation,and high accuracy.It can be used to do classical astrometric observations as well as measurement of plumb line variation and deflection of the vertical.So DZT-1 plays a significant role in astronomy and geoscience.Although the measurement principle and method of DZT-1 are somewhat similar to classical photographic zenith tube,there are still many differences.The present paper introduces the principle,method,and procedure for processing DZT-1 star image and data,as well as the application software for astronomical latitude and longitude calculation using DZT-1 observations.The test observations and the observation results are also presented.According to the test observation results,the standard deviation of single observation is about 0.200–0.300,and 0.0700–0.0800in term of a group observations.In conclusion,the data processing software fulfills DZT-1’s demand for data processing,guaranteeing the automation and high accuracy for DZT-1.Bo Wang Lili Tian Zheng Wang Zhiqiang Yin Weidong Liu Qiyuan Qiao Hongqi Wang Yanben Han 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,17:2
