| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 3 | Experimental investigation on static/dynamic characteristics of a fast-response pressure sensitive paint显示文摘An optical-based technique using Pressure-Sensitive Paint(PSP) is a promising method to measure the distribution of surface pressure on an aerodynamic model. The static and dynamic characteristics of a fast-response PSP that is developed in the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)are analyzed and tested to serve as the basis for experiments on unsteady surface measurement using a fast-response PSP. Two calibration systems used for this study are set up to investigate the temperature dependency, response time, and resolution. A data processing method, used for dynamic data, is analyzed and selected carefully to determine the optimum signal. Results show that the fastresponse PSP can be used normally at temperatures from 25 ℃ to 80 ℃. The effect of temperature on the accuracy of the measurement must be considered when temperatures are beyond the temperature range of 30–40 ℃. The dynamic calibration device with a solenoid valve can achieve a pressure jump within a millisecond order. The resolution is determined by the signal-to-noise ratio of the photo-multiplier tube. | 4 | Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. | 5 | Experimental Investigation of a Linear Cascade with Large Solidity Using Pressure Sensitive Paint and Dual-Camera System显示文摘Pressure Sensitive Paint(PSP)technique has been increasingly applied to the experimental research of aerodynamics and thermodynamics due to its strengths of non-contact,high resolution results and large coverage area,etc.However,rarely has this technique been successfully used to the study of internal flow such as compressor cascade,since narrow flow passages would heavily restrict the acquisition of PSP images.In this paper,PSP technique was used to study the pressure distribution on a linear compressor cascade with large solidity of 2.3,where the view of recording camera can be heavily blocked due to adjacent blade surfaces.To help get integrated PSP images of the internal flow passage,dual camera system along with image processing tools like 3D reconstruction and image integration were adopted.The results showed that with the aid of such assistance,image results with good quality and readability could be obtained.Meanwhile,pressure data given by PSP were compared with data from traditional way of pressure taps and showed good consistency.Massive results of the entire cascade passage surface were given with different inlet Mach numbers and incidence angles.The results showed that PSP technique can integrally measure cascade tunnel of large solidity with the help of dual-camera system. | GAO Limin YANG Guanhua GAO Tianyu LI Ruiyu HU Xiaoquan | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |
| 6 | Organising a juvenile ratio monitoring programme for 10 key waterbird species in the Yangtze River floodplain:analysis and proposals显示文摘Background:In the face of continued degradation and loss of wetlands in the Yangtze River floodplain(YRF),there is an urgent need to monitor the abundance and distribution of wintering waterbirds.To understand fully observed annual changes,we need to monitor demographic rates to understand factors affecting global population size.Annual reproduction success contributes to dynamic changes in population size and age structure,so an assessment of the juvenile ratio(i.e.first winter birds as a proportion of total number aged)of overwintering waterbirds can be an important indicator of the reproductive success in the preceding breeding season.Methods:During 2016-2019,we sampled juvenile ratios among 10 key waterbird species from the wetlands in the YRF.Based on these data,we here attempt to establish a simple,efficient,focused and reliable juvenile ratio monitoring scheme,to assess consistently and accurately relative annual breeding success and its contribution to the age structure among these waterbird species.Results:We compared juvenile ratio data collected throughout the winter and found that the optimal time for undertaking these samples was in the early stages of arrival for migratory waterbirds reaching their wintering area(early to mid-December).We recommend counting consistently at key points(i.e.those where>1%biogeographical flyway population were counted)at sites of major flyway importance(Poyang Lake,East Dongting Lake,Shengjin Lake,Caizi Lake,Longgan Lake and Chen Lake).Based on this,the error rate of the programme(155 planned points,the count of 10 waterbird species is 826-8955)is less than 5%.Conclusions:We established a juvenile ratio monitoring programme for 10 key waterbird species in the wetlands of the YRF,and discuss the feasibility and necessity of implementing such a future programme,and how to use these data in our monitoring and understanding of the population dynamics of these waterbird populations. | Yuxi Wang Iderbat Damba Qingshan Zhao Yanbo Xie Xueqing Deng Rdi Ga Guanhua Liu Zhiwen Xu Yue Li Dali Gao Wenbin Xu Guoxun Chen Lei Cao | 2021 | Avian Research2021,12,4: | 1 |
| 7 | Radix Paeoniae Alba attenuates Radix Bupleuri-induced hepatotoxicity by modulating gut microbiota to alleviate the inhibition of saikosaponins on glutathione synthetase显示文摘Radix Bupleuri(RB)is commonly used to treat depression,but it can also lead to hepatotoxicity after longterm use.In many anti-depression prescriptions,RB is often used in combination with Radix Paeoniae Alba(RPA)as an herb pair.However,whether RPA can alleviate RB-induced hepatotoxicity remain unclear.In this work,the results confirmed that RB had a dose-dependent antidepressant effect,but the optimal antidepressant dose caused hepatotoxicity.Notably,RPA effectively reversed RB-induced hepatotoxicity.Afterward,the mechanism of RB-induced hepatotoxicity was confirmed.The results showed that saikosaponin A and saikosaponin D could inhibit GSH synthase(GSS)activity in the liver,and further cause liver injury through oxidative stress and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-kB)/NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3(NLRP3)pathway.Furthermore,the mechanisms by which RPA attenuates RBinduced hepatotoxicity were investigated.The results demonstrated that RPA increased the abundance of intestinal bacteria with glycosidase activity,thereby promoting the conversion of saikosaponins to saikogenins in vivo.Different from saikosaponin A and saikosaponin D,which are directly combined with GSS as an inhibitor,their deglycosylation conversion products saikogenin F and saikogenin G exhibited no GSS binding activity.Based on this,RPA can alleviate the inhibitory effect of saikosaponins on GSS activity to reshape the liver redox balance and further reverse the RB-induced liver inflammatory response by the NFkB/NLRP3 pathway.In conclusion,the present study suggests that promoting the conversion of saikosaponins by modulating gut microbiota to attenuate the inhibition of GSS is the potential mechanism by which RPA prevents RB-induced hepatotoxicity. | Congcong Chen Wenxia Gong Junshen Tian Xiaoxia Gao Xuemei Qin Guanhua Du Yuzhi Zhou | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,6: | 1 |
| 8 | Characterization of multiple chemical components of GuiLingJi by UHPLC-MS and ^(1)H NMR analysis显示文摘GuiLingJi(GLJ),a classic traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,is composed of over 20 herbs,according to the Pharmacopeia of the People's Republic of China.Owing to its various activities,GLJ has been used in clinical settings for more than 400 years in China.However,the ambiguous chemical material basis limits the development of studies on the quality control and pharmacological mechanisms of GLJ.Therefore,comprehensive characterization of the multiple chemical components of GLJ is of great significance for the modernization of this formula.Given the great variety of herbs in GLJ,both UHPLCMS and ^(1)H NMR techniques were employed in this study.In addition,solvent extraction with different polarities was used to eliminate signal interference and the concentration of trace components.A variety of MS analytic methods were also used,including implementation of a self-built compound database,diagnostic ion filtering,mass defect filtering,and Compound Discoverer 3.0 analysis software.Based on the above strategies,a total of 150 compounds were identified,including 5 amino acids,13 phenolic acids and glycosides,11 coumarins,72 flavones,20 triterpenoid and triterpenoid saponins,23 fatty acids,and 6 other compounds.Moreover,13 compounds were identified by ^(1)H NMR spectroscopy.The UHPLC-MS and ^(1)H NMR results supported and complemented each other.This strategy provides a rapid approach to analyzing and identifying the chemical composition of Chinese herbal prescriptions.The current study provides basis for further research on the quality control and pharmacological mechanism of GLJ. | Jingchao Shi Xiaoxia Gao Airong Zhang Xuemei Qin Guanhua Du | 2022 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,3: | 1 |
| 9 | An amelogenin-based peptide hydrogel promoted the odontogenic differentiation of human dental pulp cells显示文摘Amelogenin can induce odontogenic differentiation of human dental pulp cells(HDPCs),which has great potential and advantages in dentine-pulp complex regeneration.However,the unstability of amelogenin limits its further application.This study constructed amelogenin self-assembling peptide hydrogels(L-gel or D-gel)by heating-cooling technique,investigated the effects of these hydrogels on the odontogenic differentiation of HDPCs and explored the underneath mechanism.The critical aggregation concentration,conformation,morphology,mechanical property and biological stability of the hydrogels were characterized,respectively.The effects of the hydrogels on the odontogenic differentiation of HDPCs were evaluated via alkaline phosphatase activity measurement,quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction,western blot,Alizarin red staining and scanning electron microscope.The mechanism was explored via signaling pathway experiments.Results showed that both the L-gel and D-gel stimulated the odontogenic differentiation of HDPCs on both Day 7 and Day 14,while the D-gel showed the highest enhancement effects.Meanwhile,the D-gel promoted calcium accumulation and mineralized matrix deposition on Day 21.The D-gel activated MAPK-ERK1/2 pathways in HDPCs and induced the odontogenic differentiation via ERK1/2 and transforming growth factor/smad pathways.Overall,our study demonstrated that the amelogenin peptide hydrogel stimulated the odontogenic differentiation and enhanced mineralization,which held big potential in the dentine-pulp complex regeneration. | Xinxin Li Zhaoxia Yu Shihui Jiang Xiaohua Dai Guanhua Wang Yue Wang Zhimou Yang Jie Gao Huiru Zou | 2022 | Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1: | 0 |

| 15 | Integrating UHPLC-MS/MS quantitative analysis and exogenous purine supplementation to elucidate the antidepressant mechanism of Chaigui granules by regulating purine metabolism显示文摘Chaigui granules(CG)are a compound composed of six herbal medicines with significant antidepressant effects.However,the antidepressant mechanism of CG remains unclear.In the present study,we attempted to elucidate the antidepressant mechanism of CG by regulating purine metabolism and purinergic signaling.First,the regulatory effect of CG on purine metabolites in the prefrontal cortex(PFC)of chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)rats was analyzed by ultra high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS/MS)targeted quantitative analysis.Meanwhile,purinergic receptors(P2X7 receptor(P2X7R),A1 receptor(A1R)and A2A receptor(A2AR))and signaling pathways(nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome pathway and cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)-protein kinase A(PKA)pathway)associated with purine metabolism were analyzed by western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Besides,antidepressant mechanism of CG by modulating purine metabolites to activate purinergic receptors and related signaling pathways was dissected by exogenous supplementation of purine metabolites and antagonism of purinergic receptors in vitro.An in vivo study showed that the decrease in xanthine and the increase in four purine nucleosides were closely related to the antidepressant effects of CG.Additionally,purinergic receptors(P2X7R,A1R and A2AR)and related signaling pathways(NLRP3 inflammasome pathway and cAMP-PKA pathway)were also significantly regulated by CG.The results of exogenous supplementation of purine metabolites and antagonism of purinergic receptors showed that excessive accumulation of xanthine led to activation of the P2X7R-NLRP3 inflammasome pathway,and the reduction of adenosine and inosine inhibited the A1R-cAMP-PKA pathway,which was significantly ameliorated by CG.Overall,CG could promote neuroprotection and ultimately play an antidepressant role by inhibiting the xanthine-P2X7R-NLRP3 inflammasome pathway and activating the adenosine/inosine-A1R-cAMP-PKA pathway. | Jiajun Chen Tian Li Dehua Huang Wenxia Gong Junsheng Tian Xiaoxia Gao Xuemei Qin Guanhua Du Yuzhi Zhou | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,12: | 0 |
| 16 | Preparation of hollow spherical covalent organic frameworks via Oswald ripening under ambient conditions for immobilizing enzymes with improved catalytic performance显示文摘The hollow spherical covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have a wide application prospect thanks to their special structures.However,the controllable synthesis of uniform and stable hollow COFs is still a challenge.We herein propose a self-templated method for the preparation of hollow COFs through the Ostwald ripening mechanism under ambient conditions,which avoids most disadvantages of the commonly used hard-templating and soft-templating methods.A detailed time-dependent study reveals that the COFs are transformed from initial spheres to hollow spheres because of the inside-out Ostwald ripening process.The obtained hollow spherical COFs have high crystallinity,specific surface area(2,036 m^(2)·g^(−1)),stability,and single-batch yield.Thanks to unique hollow structure,clear through holes,and hydrophobic pore environment of the hollow spherical COFs,the obtained immobilized lipase(BCL@H-COF-OMe)exhibits higher thermostability,polar organic solvent tolerance,and reusability.The BCL@H-COF-OMe also shows higher catalytic performance than the lipase immobilized on non-hollow COF and free lipase in the kinetic resolution of secondary alcohols.This study provides a simple approach for the preparation of hollow spherical COFs,and will promote the valuable research of COFs in the field of biocatalysis. | Hao Zhao Guanhua Liu Yunting Liu Liya Zhou Li Ma Ying He Xiaobing Zheng Jing Gao Yanjun Jiang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |
