Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event. | TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou | 2018 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3: | 12

The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. In particular, its wide field monitoring capabilities will be highly instrumental to detect the electro-magnetic counterparts of gravitational wave sources. The paper provides a detailed description of:(1) the technological and technical aspects, and the expected performance of the instruments of the scientific payload;(2) the elements and functions of the mission, from the spacecraft to the ground segment. | ShuangNan Zhang Andrea Santangelo Marco Feroci YuPeng Xu FangJun Lu Yong Chen Hua Feng Shu Zhang Sφren Brandt Margarita Hernanz Luca Baldini Enrico Bozzo Riccardo Campana Alessandra De Rosa YongWei Dong Yuri Evangelista Vladimir Karas Norbert Meidinger Aline Meuris Kirpal Nandra Teng Pan Giovanni Pareschi Piotr Orleanski QiuShi Huang Stephane Schanne Giorgia Sironi Daniele Spiga Jiri Svoboda Gianpiero Tagliaferri Christoph Tenzer Andrea Vacchi Silvia Zane Dave Walton ZhanShan Wang Berend Winter Xin Wu Jean J.M.in't Zand Mahdi Ahangarianabhari Giovanni Ambrosi Filippo Ambrosino Marco Barbera Stefano Basso Jörg Bayer Ronaldo Bellazzini Pierluigi Bellutti Bruna Bertucci Giuseppe Bertuccio Giacomo Borghi XueLei Cao Franck Cadoux Francesco Ceraudo TianXiang Chen Yu Peng Chen Jerome Chevenez Marta Civitani Wei Cui WeiWei Cui Thomas Dauser Ettore Del Monte Sergio Di Cosimo Sebastian Diebold Victor Doroshenko Michal Dovciak YuanYuan Du Lorenzo Ducci QingMei Fan Yannick Favre Fabio Fuschino JoséLuis Ga'lvez Min Gao MingYu Ge Olivier Gevin Marco Grassi QuanYing Gu YuDong Gu DaWei Han Bin Hong Wei Hu Long Ji ShuMei Jia WeiChun Jiang Thomas Kennedy Ingo Kreykenbohm Irfan Kuvvetli Claudio Labanti Luca Latronico Gang Li MaoShun Li Xian Li Wei Li ZhengWei Li Olivier Limousin HongWei Liu XiaoJing Liu Bo Lu Tao Luo Daniele Macera Piero Malcovati Adrian Martindale Malgorzata Michalska Bin Meng Massimo Minuti Alfredo Morbidini Fabio Muleri Stephane Paltani Emanuele Perinati Antonino Picciotto Claudio Piemonte JinLu Qu Alexandre Rachevski Irina Rashevskaya Jerome Rodriguez Thomas Schanz ZhengXiang Shen LiZhi Sheng JiangBo Song LiMing Song Carmelo Sgro Liang Sun Ying Tan Phil Uttley Bo Wang DianLong Wang GuoFeng Wang Juan Wang LangPing Wang YuSa Wang Anna L.Watts XiangYang Wen Jörn Wilms ShaoLin Xiong JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang Nian Yu WenDa Zhang Gianluigi Zampa Nicola Zampa Andrzej A.Zdziarski AiMei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang Long Zhang Tong Zhang Yi Zhang XiaoLi Zhang ZiLiang Zhang BaoSheng Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yu Peng Zhou Nicola Zorzi J.Frans Zwart | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,2: | 11 |
Periodic Solution and Ergodic Stationary Distribution of Stochastic SIRI Epidemic Systems with Nonlinear Perturbations显示文摘This paper formulates two stochastic nonautonomous SIRI epidemic systems with nonlinear perturbations. The main aim of this study is to investigate stochastic dynamics of the two SIRI epidemic systems and obtain their thresholds. For the nonautonomous stochastic SIRI epidemic system with white noise, the authors provide analytic results regarding the stochastic boundedness, stochastic permanence and persistence in mean. Moreover, the authors prove that the system has at least one nontrivial positive T-periodic solution by using Lyapunov function and Hasminskii’s theory. For the system with Markov conversion, the authors establish sufficient conditions for positive recurrence and existence of ergodic stationary distribution. In addition, sufficient conditions for the extinction of disease are obtained. Finally, numerical simulations are introduced to illustrate the main results. | ZHANG Weiwei MENG Xinzhu DONG Yulin | 2019 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2019,32,4: | 6
Atomistic insight into ordered defect superstructures at novel grain boundaries in CuO nanosheets: From structures to electronic properties显示文摘Determining atomistic structures of grain boundaries (GBs) is essential to understand structure--property interplay in oxides. Here, different GB superstructures in CuO nanosheets, including (111) and (114) twinning boundaries (TBs) and (002)/(223) GB,are investigated.Unlike the lower-energy stoichiometric (111) TB,both experimental and first-principles investigations reveal a severe segregation of Cu and O vacancies and a nonstoichiometric property at (114) TB,which may facilitate ionic transportation and provide space for elemental segregation.More importantly, the calculated electronic structures have shown the increased conductivity as well as the unanticipated magnetism in both (114) TB and (002)/(223) GB.These findings could contribute to the race towards the property-directing structural design by GB engineering. | Lulu Zhao Lei Li Huaping Sheng He Zheng Shuangfeng Jia Weiwei Meng Huihui Liu Fan Cao Huayu Peng Jianbo Wang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,5: | 5
A general strategy for bimetallic Pt-based nano-branched structures as highly active and stable oxygen reduction and methanol oxidation bifunctional catalysts显示文摘The morphology and size of Pt-based bimetallic alloys are known to determine their electrocatalytic performance in reactions relevant to fuel cells. Here,we report a general approach for preparing Pt-M(M=Fe,Co and Ni)bimetallic nano-branched structure(NBs)by a simple high temperature solution-phase synthesis.As-prepared Pt-M NBs show a polycrystalline structure and are rich in steps and kinks on the surface, which promote them favorable bifunctional catalytic properties in acidic electrolytes, specifically in terms of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).Specially,Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst shows 6.1 and 5.3 times higher in specific activity(SA)and mass activity(MA)for ORR than state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C catalysts, respectively. Moreover,it exhibits a loss of 4.0%in SA and 14.4%in MA after 10,000 cycles of accelerated durability tests(ADTs)compared with the initial activities. In addition,we also confirmed the superior MOR activity of Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst in acidic electrolytes. For Pt-M NBs with other alloying metals, the ORR and MOR activities are both higher than commercial catalysts and are in the sequence of Pt-Co/C>Pt-Fe/C>Pt-Ni/C>commercial Pt/C(or PtRu/C).The improved activities and durability can benefit from the morphological and compositional effects. This synthesis approach may be applied to develop bifunctional catalysts with enhanced ORR and MOR properties for future fuel cells designs. | Wenjuan Lei Menggang Li Lin He Xun Meng Zijie Mu Yongsheng Yu Frances MRoss Weiwei Yang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 5
Heterogeneous strain regime in the eastern margin of Tibetan Plateau and its tectonic implications显示文摘The eastern margin of Tibetan Plateau is one of the most active zones of tectonic deformation and seismicity in China. To monitor strain buildup and benefit seismic risk assessment, we constructed 14 survey-mode global position system(GPS) stations throughout the northwest of Longmenshan fault. A new GPS field over 1999–2011 is derived from measurements of the newly built and pre-existing stations in this region. Sequentially, two strain rate fields, one preceding and the other following the 2008 MW7.9 Wenchuan earthquake, are obtained using the Gausian weighting approach. Strain field over1999–2007 shows distinct strain partitioning prior to the2008 MW7.9 Wenchuan earthquake, with compression spreading over around Longmenshan area. Strain field derived from the two measurements in 2009 and 2011 shows that the area around Longmenshan continues to be under striking compression, as the pattern preceding the Wenchuan earthquake, implying a causative factor of the sequent of 2013 MW6.7 Lushan earthquake. Our GPSderived dilatation shows that both the Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes occurred within the domain of pronounced contraction. The GPS velocities demonstrate that the Longriba fault underwent slight motion with the faultnormal and-parallel rates at 1.0 ± 2.5 mm and 0.3 ± 2.2 mm/a; the Longmenshan fault displayed slow activity, with a fault-normal rate at 0.8 ± 2.5 mm/a, and a fault-parallel rate at 1.8 ± 1.7 mm/a. Longriba fault is on a par with Longmenshan fault in strain partitioning to accommodate the southeastward motion of eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau. Integrated analysis of principal strain tensors, mean principal stress, and fast directions of mantle anisotropy shows that west of Sichuan is characterized as mechanically strong crust-mantle coupling. | Guojie Meng Xiaoning Su Weiwei Wu Jinwei Ren Yonglin Yang Jicang Wu Chieh-Hung Chen Nikolay V.Shestakov | 2015 | Earthquake Science2015,28,1: | 5
Preparation of an anti-diethylstilbestrol monoclonal antibody and development of an indirect competitive ELISA to detect diethylstilbestrol in biological samples显示文摘Based on the preparation of an anti-diethylstilbestrol(DES) monoclonal antibody,a simple and convenient indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method for DES detection has been developed. The monoclonal antibody demonstrated high sensitivity to DES with an IC50 value of 275 pg mL-1 and detection limit(LOD) of 90 pg mL-1.The specificity of the assay was studied by measuring cross-reactivity of the antibody with structurally related compounds of ethinyl estradiol(<7%),estrone(<0.1%),estriol(<0.1%),and diethylstilbestrol benzoate(<0.1%).Chicken,fish,shrimp,urine and bile spiked with different concentration of DES were detected by the developed method, and the recovery rates were greater than 79.5%.Intra-and inter-assay variations were about 6%.This method exhibited high stability with a coefficient of variation less than 10% in buffer and in real samples. The LODs in fish/shrimp,liver,feed and urine spiked with DES were 600,600,4800 and 600 pg mL-1,respectively.These results confirmed that the antibody to DES was successfully produced and could be used to establish ELISA methods for DES detection in food producing animals. | LI WeiHua MENG Meng HE FangYang WAN YuPing XUE HuYin LIU Wei YIN WeiWei XU Jing FENG CaiWei WANG ShanLiang LU Xiao LIU JinTing XI RiMo | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,8: | 4
Magnetic-field enhanced high-thermoelectric performance in topological Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 crystal显示文摘Thermoelectric materials can be used to convert heat to electric power through the Seebeck effect. We study magneto-thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT) in three-dimensional Dirac semimetal Cd_3As_2 crystal. It is found that enhancement of power factor and reduction of thermal conductivity can be realized at the same time through magnetic field although magnetoresistivity is greatly increased. ZT can be highly enhanced from 0.17 to 1.1 by more than six times around 350 K under a perpendicular magnetic field of 7 T. The huge enhancement of ZT by magnetic field arises from the linear Dirac band with large Fermi velocity and the large electric thermal conductivity in Cd_3As_2. Our work paves a new way to greatly enhance the thermoelectric performance in the quantum topological materials. | Honghui Wang Xigang Luo Weiwei Chen Naizhou Wang Bin Lei Fanbao Meng Chao Shang Likuan Ma Tao Wu Xi Dai Zhengfei Wang Xianhui Chen | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018,63,7: | 4

Plant multiscale networks:charting plant connectivity by multi-level analysis and imaging techniques显示文摘In multicellular and even single-celled organisms, individual components are interconnected at multiscale levels to produce enormously complex biological networks that help these systems maintain homeostasis for development and environmental adaptation.Systems biology studies initially adopted network analysis to explore how relationships between individual components give rise to complex biological processes.Network analysis has been applied to dissect the complex connectivity of mammalian brains across different scales in time and space in The Human Brain Project. In plant science, network analysis has similarly been applied to study the connectivity of plant components at the molecular, subcellular, cellular, organic, and organism levels.Analysis of these multiscale networks contributes to our understanding of how genotype determines phenotype. In this review,we summarized the theoretical framework of plant multiscale networks and introduced studies investigating plant networks by various experimental and computational modalities. We next discussed the currently available analytic methodologies and multi-level imaging techniques used to map multiscale networks in plants. Finally,we highlighted some of the technical challenges and key questions remaining to be addressed in this emerging field. | Xi Zhang Yi Man Xiaohong Zhuang Jinbo Shen Yi Zhang Yaning Cui Meng Yu Jingjing Xing Guangchao Wang Na Lian Zijian Hu Lingyu Ma Weiwei Shen Shunyao Yang Huimin Xu Jiahui Bian Yanping Jing Xiaojuan Li Ruili Li Tonglin Mao Yuling Jiao Sodmergen Haiyun Ren Jinxing Lin | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9: | 3
Trifolirhizin induces autophagy-dependent apoptosis in colon cancer via AMPK/mTOR signaling显示文摘Dear Editor,Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most frequent diseases with high mortality around the world.Conventional treatments of CRC remain unsatisfactory due to the increasing recurrence rate and adverse reactions including neutropenia, drug resistance, etc.Recently, autophagy has been shown to be involved in regulating cancer development and progression by regulating apoptosis through pro-apoptosis proteins including caspases,in addition to being a potential target for cancer therapeutic intervention.1 Trifolirhizin(Supplementary Fig.S1a)is a natural flavonoid glycosides isolated from Sophora flavescens as well as a bioactive constituent of Xian-Lian-Ke-Li,a commercial traditional Chinese medicine for the cancer prevention.Numerous evidence manifested that trifolirhizin inhibited proliferative activity in melanoma B16 cell, lung cancer H23 cell, human ovarian A2780 cell, and human gastric cancer cell MKN45.2 However, its pharmacological effect and mechanism on CRC remain elusive.Herein,we evaluated the effect of trifolirhizin on autophagy and apoptosis on CRC as well as its related mechanisms,in order to provide evidence to develop a potential agent with less adverse effect in treating CRC. | Dongdong Sun Weiwei Tao Feng Zhang Weixing Shen Jiani Tan Liu Li Qinghai Meng Yugen Chen Ye Yang Haibo Cheng | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 3
Microenvironment regulation of M-N-C single-atom catalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of cost-effective,robust,and durable electrocatalysts to replace the expensive Pt-based catalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is the trending frontier research topic in renewable energy and electrocatalysis.Particular attention has been paid to metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)single atom catalysts(SACs)due to their maximized atom utilization efficiency, biomimetic active site, and distinct electronic structure.More importantly, their catalytic properties can be further tailored by rationally regulating the microenvironment of active sites(i.e.,M-N coordination number, heteroatom doping and substitution.Herein,we present a comprehensive summary of the recent advancement in the microenvironment regulation of MN-C SACs towards improved ORR performance. The coordination environment manipulation regarding central metal and coordinated atoms is first discussed, focusing on the structure-function relationship.Apart from the near-range coordination, longrange substrate modulation including heteroatom doping, defect engineering is discussed as well.Besides, the synergy mechanism of nanoparticles and single atom sites to tune the electron cloud density at the active sites is summarized. Finally,we provide the challenges and outlook of the development of M-N-C SACs. | Li Zhang Qinglei Meng Ruixue Zheng Liuqing Wang Wei Xing Weiwei Cai Meiling Xiao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 2

Characterization methods of organic electrode materials显示文摘The development of novel organic electrode materials is of great significance for improving the reversible capacity and cycle stability of rechargeable batteries. Before practical application,it is essential to characterize the electrode materials to study their structures, redox mechanisms and electrochemical performances. In this review, the common characterization methods that have been adopted so far are summarized from two aspects:experimental characterization and theoretical calculation. The experimental characterization is introduced in detail from structural characterization, electrochemical characterization and electrode reaction chara cterization. The experimental purposes and working principles of various experimental characterization methods are briefly illustrated. As the auxilia ry means, theoretical calculation provides the theoretical basis for characterizing the electrochemical reaction mechanism of organic electrode materials.Through these characterizations,we will have a deep understanding about the material structures, electrochemical redox mechanisms, electrochemical properties and the relationships of structure-property.It is hoped that this review would help researchers to select the suitable characterization methods to analyze the structures and performances of organic electrode materials quickly and effectively. | Meng Zhang Wenjun Zhou Weiwei Huang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6: | 2
Targeting EZH1/2 induces cell cycle arrest and inhibits cell proliferation through reactivation of p57CDKN1C and TP53INP1 in mantle cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect of dysregulation of epigenetic regulator EZH1 and EZH2 on the proliferation in MCL and the underlying mechanisms. Methods: In this study, we elucidated the role of EZH1 and EZH2 overexpression by immunohistochemistry and correlated them to clinical outcome in 41 MCL patients.Quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot were applied to confirm the level of EZH1 and EZH2 in well-characterized MCL cell lines which were compared to those of na?ve B cells. Then we manipulated the expression of EZH1 and EZH2 in MCL cells using CRISPR/Cas9 system to directly investigate their functional roles in MCL.We also evaluated the effect of two small molecule selective inhibitors, EPZ005687 and UNC1999, on MCL cell proliferation, cell cycle distribution and apoptosis in vitro. Finally, we performed RNA-sequencing(RNA-Seq) and Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP) assay to further gain insight into the underlying molecular mechanisms. Results: We found that EZH2 protein is overexpressed in approximately half of this cohort of MCL cases.More importantly, the overexpression of EZH2 is associated with poor OS in the patients.Nevertheless, simple EZH2 depletion in vitro has little impact on the viability of MCL cells, predominantly because of the consequent up-regulation of EZH1.Consistently, UNC1999, a dual EZH1/2 inhibitor, unlike the EZH2 selective inhibitor EPZ005687, exerts a potent inhibitory effect on MCL cells.Furthermore, we discover CDKN1C and TP53 INP1 as the two important cell cycle regulators, the expression of which are repressed by EZH1/2 mediated epigenetic regulation and are restored by EZH1/2 dual inhibition. Conclusions: Our study suggests that EZH2 participates in the pathogenesis of MCL which may serve as a potential biomarker for prognosis prediction. The dual inhibition of EZH1/2 is a promising therapeutic strategy for MCL. | Wei Li Chengfeng Bi Yating Han Tian Tian Xianhuo Wang Huijing Bao Xiaoying Xu Xuhan Zhang Lu Liu Weiwei Zhang Hai Gao Huaqing Wang Huilai Zhang Bin Meng Xi Wang Kai Fu | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3: | 2
