The impacts of climate change on the Neolithic cultures of Gansu-Qinghai region during the late Holocene Megathermal显示文摘Holocene Megathermal 被划分成早、中间、迟了的时期,各由于他们改变趋势的不同气候在过时的文化上有不同影响。 | LIU Fenggui ZHANG Yili FENG Zhaodong HOU Guangliang ZHOU Qiang ZHANG Haifeng | 2010 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,3: | 18
Studies on the evolution process of rockbursts in deep tunnels显示文摘This paper focuses on the evolution processes of different types of rockbursts occurring in deep tunnels. A series of laboratory tests and in-situ monitoring in deep tunnels excavated by tunnel boring machine (TBM) and drill-and-blast (D&B) method have been conducted to understand the mechanisms and processes of the evolution of different types of rockbursts, including strain rockburst, strain-structure slip rockburst, immediate rockburst and time-delayed rockburst. Three different risk assessment methods are proposed to evaluate the intensity and potential failure depth of rockbursts. These methods can be applied before excavation and the results can be updated according to the real-time information during excavation. Two micro-seismicity based real-time warning systems have been established for predicting various intensities of rockbursts, such as slight, moderate, intensive and extremely intensive rockbursts. Meanwhile, the probability and intensity of the rockburst are also given. The strategy for excavation and support design has been suggested for various intensities of rockbursts before excavation. The strategy for dynamic control of the rockburst evolution process is also proposed according to the monitoring results. The methodology has been successfully applied to rockburst risk reduction for deep tunnels at Jinping II hydropower project. The results have illustrated the applicability of the proposed methodology and techniques concerning rockbursts. | Xiating Feng Bingrui Chen Shaojun Li Chuanqing Zhang Yaxun Xiao Guangliang Feng Hui Zhou Shili Qiu Zhouneng Zhao Yang Yu Dongfang Chen Huajun Ming | 2012 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,4: | 11
Spatio-temporal Fragmentation of Leisure Activities in Information Era: Empirical Evidence from Nanjing, China显示文摘Activity fragmentation provides a new approach for understanding the transformation of urban space and function in the information era. Numerous theoretical and empirical studies have been conducted on activity fragmentation, but few studies have focused on the fragmentation of leisure activities. This study was intended to extend the extant literature by: 1) analysing the spatio-temporal fragmentation of physical and virtual leisure activities by using a dataset collected in Nanjing, China, and 2) evaluating the reasons of leisure activity fragmentation, as well as the potential spatial effect of activity fragmentation. The results indicated that virtual leisure activities are more fragmented than physical leisure activities, but the fragmentation of physical and virtual leisure activities varies on weekday and weekend, as well as in various locations and urban districts. In addition, the results suggested that sociodemographic factors and information and communication technology(ICT) variables distinctly affect the fragmentation of leisure activities. Meanwhile, the fragmentation of virtual leisure activities may enhance the transformation of traditional urban space by reallocating leisure activity times and locations. | XI Guangliang ZHEN Feng Puel GILLES Fernandez VALERIE | 2017 | Chinese Geographical Science2017,27,1: | 8
City Networks of Online Commodity Services in China:Empirical Analysis of Tmall Clothing and Electronic Retailers显示文摘City networks have been a critical topic in the fields of urban geography and regional economics. Numerous studies have explored city networks, focusing mainly on infrastructure and industrial networks. Unlike traditional urban network of which the major measuring indexes are population sizes and entity industries, online commodity service networks could reflect well the influencing of emerging economies, especially the Internet economy, on city networks. This study analyzes and reveals structural features of China's city networks through online commodity services, providing the internet economic approach on city networks. Results indicate that the core cities of online commodity service networks are mainly concentrated in eastern coastal areas. In addition, spatial polarization and layer structure of network connections are obvious, descending from the centers in eastern China to peripheral cities in central and western China. Online commodity services of different cities show apparent differences and uncertainties in terms of specialization rates of international connection, which presents a tendency toward diversification. Online commodity service networks are not only associated with goods production, supply, and consumption in physical space but also reflect virtual information, capital, and technology flows, thus providing a new empirical approach for understanding city networks in information and internet economic age. | XI Guangliang ZHEN Feng HE Jinliao GONG Yanhao | 2018 | Chinese Geographical Science2018,28,2: | 6
Mesenchymal stem cell treatment improves outcome of COVID-19 patients via multiple immunomodulatory mechanisms显示文摘The infusion of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)potentially improves clinical symptoms, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We conducted a randomized,single-blind,placebo-controlled(29 patients/group)phase II clinical trial to validate previous findings and explore the potential mechanisms.Patients treated with umbilical cord-derived MSCs exhibited a shorter hospital stay(P=0.0198)and less time required for symptoms remission(P=0.0194)than those who received placebo.Based on chest images, both severe and critical patients treated with MSCs showed improvement by day 7(P=0.0099)and day 21(P=0.0084).MSC-treated patients had fewer adverse events.MSC infusion reduced the levels of C-reactive protein, proinflammatory cytokines, and neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)and promoted the maintenance of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies. To explore how MSCs modulate the immune system,we employed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis on peripheral blood. Our analysis identified a novel subpopulation of VNN2+hematopoietic stem/progenitorlike(HSPC-like)cells expressing CSF3R and PTPRE that were mobilized following MSC infusion.Genes encoding chemotaxis factors—CX3CR1 and L-selectin—were upregulated in various immune cells.MSC treatment also regulated B cell subsets and increased the expression of costimulatory CD28 in T cells in vivo and in vitro. In addition,an in vivo mouse study confirmed that MSCs suppressed NET release and reduced venous thrombosis by upregulating kindlin-3 signaling.Together, our results underscore the role of MSCs in improving COVID-19 patient outcomes via maintenance of immune homeostasis. | Rongjia Zhu Tingdong Yan Yingmei Feng Yan Liu Hongcui Cao Gongxin Peng Yanlei Yang Zhen Xu Jingqi Liu Wei Hou Xiaoyue Wang Zhe Li Luchan Deng Shihua Wang Jing Li Qin Han Hongling Li Guangliang Shan Yinghao Cao Xingyan An Jianshe Yan Zhonghui Zhang Huafei Li Xuebin Qu Jiaqi Zhu Shumin Zhou Jiao Wang Fengchun Zhang Jinming Gao Ronghua Jin Dayong Xu Yan-Qing Ma Tao Huang Shuang Peng Zhi Zheng Ilia Stambler Eric Gilson Lee Wei Lim Alexey Moskalev Antonio Cano Sasanka Chakrabarti Brun Ulfhake Huanxing Su Haoying Xu Sihuan Xu Feng Wei Holly MBrown-Borg Kyung-Jin Min Georgina Ellison-Hughes Calogero Caruso Kunlin Jin Robert Chunhua Zhao | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,12: | 5
In-situ observations of damage-fracture evolution in surrounding rock upon unloading in 2400-m-deep tunnels显示文摘The damage-fracture evolution of deep rock mass has obvious particularity, which is revealed in 2400-mdeep tunnels by field tests. The evolution of the excavation damaged zone depth is consistent with that of the fractured zone depth. The ratio of the excavation damaged zone depth to the excavation fractured zone depth is greater than 2.0 in a rock mass with both high strength and good integrity, but less than1.5 in a rock mass with lower strength or poor integrity.Zonal disintegration in a rock mass with high strength and fair integrity is more likely to occur when it contains more than two groups of primary fractures in damaged zones.Fractures develop outward in zonal disintegration but are totally different from the single-zone fracture,in which the fractures develop inward, and it is the starting position of the fractured zone when the excavation surface of the middle pilot is 7–9 m close to the pre-set borehole and it stops after the excavation surface of the baseplate is 11–14 m away. The most intense evolution occurs around 2–4 m from the pre-set borehole in the sidewall expansion stage. The research results provide a reference for the monitoring scheme and support design of CJPL-Ⅲin its future construction. | Haosen Guo Qiancheng Sun Guangliang Feng Shaojun Li Yaxun Xiao | 2023 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,4: | 5
Physico-mechanical properties of granite after cyclic thermal shock显示文摘Understanding rock mechanical behaviors after thermal shock is critically important for practical engineering application. In this context,physico-mechanical properties of Beishan granite,Gansu Province,China after cyclic thermal shock were studied using digital image correlation(DIC),acoustic emission(AE)monitoring, and microscopic observation. The results show that the peak strength and elastic modulus decreased gradually with increase in thermal shock cycle. However, the above two parameters showed no further changes after 10 thermal shock cycles. The loading stress ratio(i.e.the ratio of the current loading stress level to the peak stress in this state)corresponding to the occurrence of the uneven principal strain field and the local strain concentration zone on the surface of the granite specimen decreased with increase in thermal shock cycle.Three transformation forms of the standard deviation curves of the surface principal strain were found. For granite with fewer thermal shock cycles(e.g.no more than 2 cycles),the standard deviation curves exhibited approximately exponential growth in exponential form. With increase in thermal shock cycle, the S-shaped curve was dominant. After 10 thermal shock cycles,an approximate ladder-shaped curve was observed. It is displayed that AE activity was mainly concentrated around the peak strength zone of the granite specimen when the rock samples underwent fewer thermal shock cycles. With increase in thermal shock cycle,AE activity could occur at low loading stress levels.Microscopic observation further confirmed these scenarios, which showed that more microcracks were induced with increase in thermal shock cycle. The number of induced microcracks at the edge location of the granite specimen was significantly larger than that at the interior location. Finally,a continuum damage model was proposed to describe the damage evolution of the granite specimen after cyclic thermal shock during loading. | Peiyang Yu Peng-Zhi Pan Guangliang Feng Zhenhua Wu Shankun Zhao | 2020 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,4: | 4
Quercetin promotes human epidermal stem cell proliferation through the estrogen receptor/β-catenin/c-Myc/cyclin A2 signaling pathway显示文摘Skin epidermal stem cells(EpSCs)play an important role in wound healing.Quercetin is a phytoestrogen reported to accelerate skin wound healing, but its effect on EpSCs is unknown. In this study,we investigated the effect of quercetin on human EpSC proliferation and explored the underlying mechanisms. We found that quercetin at 0.1~1μM significantly promoted EpSC proliferation and increased the number of cells in S phase. The pro-proliferative effect of quercetin on EpSCs was confirmed in cultured human skin tissue.Mechanistic studies showed that quercetin significantly upregulated the expressions ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclins A2 and E1.Inhibitor forβ-catenin or c-Myc significantly inhibited quercetin-induced EpSC proliferation.Theβ-catenin inhibitor XAV-939 suppressed quercetin-induced expressions ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclins A2 and E1.The c-Myc inhibitor 10058-F4 inhibited the upregulation of c-Myc and cyclin A2 by quercetin.Pretreatment of EpSCs with estrogen receptor(ER)antagonist ICI182780,but not the G protein-coupled ER1 antagonist G15,reversed quercetin-induced cell proliferation and upregulation ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclin A2.Collectively,these results indicate that quercetin promotes EpSC proliferation through ER-mediated activation ofβ-catenin/c-Myc/cyclinA2 signaling pathway and ER-independent upregulation of cyclin E1 and that quercetin may accelerate skin wound healing through promoting EpSC proliferation. As EpSCs are used not only in clinic to treat skin wounds but also as seed cells in skin tissue engineering, quercetin is a useful reagent to expand EpSCs for basic research, skin wound treatment, and skin tissue engineering. | Zhaodong Wang Guangliang Zhang Yingying Le Jihui Ju Ping Zhang Dapeng Wan Qiang Zhao Guangzhe Jin Hao Su Jinwei Liu Jiaxuan Feng Yi Fu Ruixing Hou | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,10: | 3

Intermittent disturbance mechanical behavior and fractional deterioration mechanical model of rock under complex true triaxial stress paths显示文摘Mechanical excavation, blasting, adjacent rockburst and fracture slip that occur during mining excavation impose dynamic loads on the rock mass, leading to further fracture of damaged surrounding rock in three-dimensional high-stress and even causing disasters. Therefore,a novel complex true triaxial static-dynamic combined loading method reflecting underground excavation damage and then frequent intermittent disturbance failure is proposed.True triaxial static compression and intermittent disturbance tests are carried out on monzogabbro. The effects of intermediate principal stress and amplitude on the strength characteristics, deformation characteristics, failure characteristics, and precursors of monzogabbro are analyzed, intermediate principal stress and amplitude increase monzogabbro strength and tensile fracture mechanism.Rapid increases in microseismic parameters during rock loading can be precursors for intermittent rock disturbance.Based on the experimental result, the new damage fractional elements and method with considering crack initiation stress and crack unstable stress as initiation and acceleration condition of intermittent disturbance irreversible deformation are proposed.A novel three-dimensional disturbance fractional deterioration model considering the intermediate principal stress effect and intermittent disturbance damage effect is established, and the model predicted results align well with the experimental results. The sensitivity of stress states and model parameters is further explored, and the intermittent disturbance behaviors at different f are predicted. This study provides valuable theoretical bases for the stability analysis of deep mining engineering under dynamic loads. | Zhi Zheng Hongyu Xu Kai Zhang Guangliang Feng Qiang Zhang Yufei Zhao | 2024 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2024,34,1: | 0
Differences in spring precipitation over southern China associated with multiyear La Ni?a events显示文摘Composite analyses were performed in this study to reveal the difference in spring precipitation over southern China during multiyear La Ni?a events during 1901 to 2015. It was found that there is significantly below-normal precipitation during the first boreal spring, but above-normal precipitation during the second year. The difference in spring precipitation over southern China is correlative to the variation in western North Pacific anomalous cyclone(WNPC), which can in turn be attributed to the different sea surface temperature anomaly(SSTA) over the Tropical Pacific. The remote forcing of negative SSTA in the equatorial central and eastern Pacific and the local air-sea interaction in the western North Pacific are the usual causes of WNPC formation and maintenance.SSTA in the first spring is stronger than those in the second spring. As a result, the intensity of WNPC in the first year is stronger, which is more likely to reduce the moisture in southern China by changing the moisture transport, leading to prolonged precipitation deficits over southern China. However, the tropical SSTA signals in the second year are too weak to induce the formation and maintenance of WNPC and the below-normal precipitation over southern China. Thus, the variation in tropical SSTA signals between two consecutive springs during multiyear La Ni?a events leads to obvious differences in the spatial pattern of precipitation anomaly in southern China by causing the different WNPC response. | Guangliang Li Licheng Feng Wei Zhuang Fei Liu Ronghua Zhang Cuijuan Sui | 2024 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,2: | 0
