1State-of-the-art review on frequency response of wind power plants in power systems显示文摘With an increasing penetration of wind power in the modern electrical grid, the increasing replacement of large conventional synchronous generators by wind power plants will potentially result in deteriorated frequency regulation performance due to the reduced system inertia and primary frequency response. A series of challenging issues arise from the aspects of power system planning, operation, control and protection. Therefore, it is valuable to develop variable speed wind turbines(VSWTs) equipped with frequency regulation capabilities that allow them to effectively participate in addressing severe frequency contingencies. This paper provides a comprehensive surveyon frequency regulation methods for VSWTs. It fully describes the concepts, principles and control strategies of prevailing frequency controls of VSWTs, including future development trends. It concludes with a performance comparison of frequency regulation by the four main types of wind power plants.Ziping WU Wenzhong GAO Tianqi GAO Weihang YAN Huaguang ZHANG Shijie YAN Xiao WANG 2018Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2018,6,1:26

3Sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in advanced or metastatic squamous non-small-cell lung cancer:an open-label,randomized controlled phase 3 trial(ORIENT-3)显示文摘Background:Treatment options for Chinese patients with locally advanced or metastatic squamous-cell non-small-cell lung cancer(sqNSCLC)after failure of first-line chemotherapy are limited. This study(ORIENT-3)aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC.Methods:ORIENT-3 was an open-label,multicenter,randomized controlled phase 3 trial that recruited patients with stage IIIB/IIIC/IV sqNSCLC after failure with first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.Patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either 200 mg of sintilimab or 75 mg/m^(2) of docetaxel intravenously every 3 weeks, stratified by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)in the full analysis set(FAS).Secondary endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS),objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),duration of response(DoR)and safety. Results:Between August 25,2017,and November 7,2018,290 patients were randomized. For FAS,10 patients fromthe docetaxel armwere excluded.Themedian OS was 11.79(n=145;95%confidence interval[CI],10.28-15.57)months with sintilimab versus 8.25(n=135;95%CI,6.47-9.82)months with docetaxel(hazard ratio[HR]:0.74;95%CI,0.56-0.96;P=0.025).Sintilimab treatment significantly prolonged PFS(median 4.30 vs.2.79 months;HR:0.52;95%CI,0.39-0.68;P<0.001)and showed higher ORR(25.50%vs.2.20%,P<0.001)and DCR(65.50%vs.37.80%,P<0.001)than the docetaxel arm.The median DoRwas 12.45(95%CI,4.86-25.33)months in the sintilimab arm and 4.14(95%CI,1.41-7.23)months in the docetaxel arm(P=0.045).Treatment-related adverse events of grade≥3were reported in 26(18.1%)patients in the sintilimab arm and 47(36.2%)patients in the docetaxel arm.Exploratory biomarker analysis showed potential predictive values of expression levels of two transcription factors, including OVOL2(HR:0.35;P<0.001)and CTCF(HR:3.50;P<0.001),for sintilimab treatment. Conclusions:Compared with docetaxel, sintilimab significantly improved the OS,PFS,and ORR of Chinese patients with previously treated locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC.Yuankai Shi Lin Wu Xinmin Yu Puyuan Xing Yan Wang Jianying Zhou Airong Wang Jianhua Shi Yi Hu Ziping Wang Guangyu An Yong Fang Sanyuan Sun Caicun Zhou Changli Wang Feng Ye Xingya Li Junye Wang Mengzhao Wang Yunpeng Liu Yanqiu Zhao Ying Yuan Jifeng Feng Zhendong Chen Jindong Shi Tao Sun Gang Wu Yongqian Shu Qisen Guo Yi Zhang Yong Song Shucai Zhang Yuan Chen Wei Li Hongrui Niu Wenwei Hu Lijun Wang Jianan Huang Yang Zhang Ying Cheng Zhengdong Wu Bo Peng Jiya Sun Christoph Mancao Yanqi Wang Luyao Sun 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,12:8
4Geochemical characteristics of soil selenium and evaluation of Serich land resources in the central area of Guiyang City,China显示文摘Based on the results of multipurpose regional geochemical surveys of the Guizhou Province, geochemical characteristics of soil Se and Se-rich land resources in the central area of Guiyang City were studied and evaluated.Major conclusions are as follows:(1) the Se content in surface soil of the central area of Guiyang City was 0.17–2.89 mg kg^(-1), and the average was 0.78 mg kg^(-1), which were respectively 2.6 and 3.9 times of the national background value of soil and the world background value of soil. The Se content in deep soil was 0.11–1.48 mg kg^(-1), and the average was 0.44 mg kg^(-1), which were respectively 1.5 and2.2 times of the national background value of soil and the world background value of soil. The soil Se content decreased with the increase in the soil depth on the vertical profile, and the surface soil had a higher Se content.(2)Distribution of Se content was mainly affected by parent material, physicochemical properties of soil and other components, soil type, and land use type. Parent material played a key role, as the soil Se content was mainly originated from parent rock and increased with the background value of Se in parent rock, physicochemical properties of soil and other components had certain influences upon the Se content. Se was shown to have a significant linear positive correlation with S and organic carbon but no significant correlation with p H value. Se content varied with different types of soil as follows: skeleton soil > yellow soil > paddy soil > limestone soil > purple soil. Land use type also hadcertain influences upon the soil Se content as follows: dry land > construction land > garden plot > grassland =garden plot > forest land.(3) Taking 0.4 mg kg^(-1)B x(Se) <3.0 mg kg^(-1) as the standard for Se-rich soil, Se-rich soil of the study area covered an area of 2224 km^2 and 92.5% of the total area; the remaining is general soil. The study area had no Se-excess soil. Therefore, the central area of Guiyang City has a high proportion of Se-rich land, a large area of Serich land resources, and a moderate selenium enrichment strength, which have been rarely seen anywhere and provide advantageous resources for the development of Se-rich featured agriculture.Ziping Pan Shaolin He Chaojin Li Wei Men Chengzhi Yan Fang Wang 2017Acta Geochimica2017,36,2:8
5Preparation of Large Area Double-walled Carbon Nanotube Macro-films with Self-cleaning Properties显示文摘Double-walled carbon nanotube (DWCNT) macro-films with large areas, excellent flexibility and superhy- drophobicity are reported. The area of the macro-film is larger than 30 cm×15 cm, and this large film can be bended, or folded without any damage, and even can be tailored freely. After a simple modification of perfluoroalkysilane, the surface of the macro-film shows excellent superhydrophobicity with a water contact angle of 165.7±2 deg. and sliding angle lower than 3 deg., the prepared superhydrophobic films showing excellent antifouling, self-cleaning and water-repellent functions. The topographic roughness and perfluoroalkysilane modification are found to contribute to the observed superhydrophobicity. Considering the outstanding electronic, chemical and mechanical properties of DWCNTs, it is expected that this multifunctional DWCNT macro-film has potential applications in many fields.Ziping Wu Qianfeng Xu Jiannong Wang Jie Ma 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,1:6

74-Formyl-2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-phenol: an ESIPT chromophore显示文摘In the present work, excited state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) emission properties of a new benzotriazole derivative 4-formyl-2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-phenol(C1) were studied. 4-Formyl-2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-methoxy-benzene(C2), 4-formyl-2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-phenyl acetate(C3) and 4-methyl-2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-phenol(C4) were used as the reference molecules.1H NMR chemical shift of hydroxy group in C1 was located at more down field than that of C4 or p-hydroxy-benzaldehyde(C5), respectively. C1 showed two absorption bands in the range of 260–400 nm zones in various solvents, while C2 and C3 exhibited single absorption band. The equal molar mixtures of C2/C5 or C3/C5 showed single absorption band.C2 and C3 displayed single fluorescence emission band in various solvents, while C1 exhibited dual emission bands in some strong polar solvents. Furthermore, the second emission band in these strong polar solvents showed the large Stokes shift. The results show that the second emission band of C1 was produced by ESIPT. C2 and C3 could not undergo ESIPT due to no hydroxy group. The geometry optimization calculation of enol and keto forms in the ground and excited states of C1 provided tough theoretical evidences of ESIPT.Yao Lu Yulong Gong Huiying Ma Zhenqiang Wang Haili Li Ziping Luo Hongru Li Fang Gao 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,34:4
8Survival difference between EGFR Del19 and L858R mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients receiving gefitinib:a propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Objective: Although superior clinical benefits of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs) in the treatment of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) had been reported, the survival difference between exon 19 deletion(Del19) and exon 21 Leu858 Arg substitution(L858 R) remains controversial. The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in progression-free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS) between different EGFR mutant subtypes among advanced NSCLC patients receiving gefitinib. Methods: There were 204 advanced NSCLC patients with EGFR mutations treated with gefitinib were enrolled in this retrospective cohort study.Patients were divided into the EGFR Del19 group and the L858 R mutated group according to their mutant subtype.Propensity score matching(PSM) was conducted by using a nearest-neighbor algorithm(1:1) to adjust for demographical and clinical covariates.Survival curves were constructed with the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by using the log-rank test. Results: The PFS in Del19 group was similar to that in the L858 R group [before PSM 8.6 vs.7.2 months,P=0.072; after PSM 7.3 vs.7.2 months,P=0.155].No differences were detected in OS between the L858 R and the Del19 group(before PSM 17.8 vs.13.1 months,P=0.253; after PSM 16.9 vs.13.1 months,P=0.339).The Del19 group was significantly younger compared with the L858 R mutation group in age(P=0.015).Conclusions: No significant difference was found in the PFS or OS between the Del19 and L858 R mutant NSCLC patients receiving gefitinib. The age gap might contribute to the survival differences between Del19 and L858 R groups.PSM is of important value to the elimination of potential bias.Minglei Zhuo Qiwen Zheng Jun Zhao Meina Wu Tongtong An Yuyan Wang Jianjie Li Shuhang Wang Jia Zhong Xue Yang Hanxiao Chen Bo Jia Zhi Dong Emei Gao JingjingWang Ziping Wang 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6:4
9Resting-state connectivity in the default mode network and insula during experimental low back pain显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies have shown that the insular cortex has a significant role in pain identification and information integration, while the default mode network is associated with cognitive and memory-related aspects of pain perception. However, changes in the functional connectivity between the default mode network and insula during pain remain unclear. This study used 3.0 T functional magnetic resonance imaging scans in 12 healthy subjects aged 24.8 ± 3.3 years to compare the differences in the functional activity and connectivity of the insula and default mode network between the baseline and pain condition induced by intramuscular injection of hypertonic saline. Compared with the baseline, the insula was more functionally connected with the medial prefrontal and lateral temporal cortices, whereas there was lower connectivity with the posterior cingulate cortex, precuneus and inferior parietal lobule in the pain condition. In addition, compared with baseline, the anterior cingulate cortex exhibited greater connectivity with the posterior insula, but lower connectivity with the anterior insula, during the pain condition. These data indicate that experimental low back pain led to dysfunction in the connectivity between the insula and default mode network resulting from an impairment of the regions of the brain related to cognition and emotion, suggesting the importance of the interaction between these regions in pain processing.Shanshan Zhang Wen Wu Guozhi Huang Ziping Liu Shigui Guo Jianming Yang Kangling Wang 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,2:3
10Self-attention transfer networks for speech emotion recognition显示文摘Background A crucial element of human-machine interaction, the automatic detection of emotional states from human speech has long been regarded as a challenging task for machine learning models. One vital challenge in speech emotion recognition(SER)is learning robust and discriminative representations from speech.Although machine learning methods have been widely applied in SER research, the inadequate amount of available annotated data has become a bottleneck impeding the extended application of such techniques(e.g.,deep neural networks). To address this issue,we present a deep learning method that combines knowledge transfer and self-attention for SER tasks.Herein,we apply the log-Mel spectrogram with deltas and delta-deltas as inputs. Moreover, given that emotions are time dependent,we apply temporal convolutional neural networks to model the variations in emotions. We further introduce an attention transfer mechanism, which is based on a self-attention algorithm to learn long-term dependencies. The self-attention transfer network(SATN)in our proposed approach takes advantage of attention transfer to learn attention from speech recognition, followed by transferring this knowledge into SER.An evaluation built on Interactive Emotional Dyadic Motion Capture(IEMOCAP)dataset demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed model.Ziping ZHAO Keru Wang Zhongtian BAO Zixing ZHANG Nicholas CUMMINS Shihuang SUN Haishuai WANG Jianhua TAO Björn WSCHULLER 2021Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2021,3,1:3

13Is there an optimal time to initiate adjuvant chemotherapy to predict benefit of survival in non-small cell lung cancer?显示文摘Objective: Adjuvant chemotherapy(AC) after curative resection is known to improve the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC); however, few studies have reported the correlation between the time to initiation of AC(TTAC) and survival in NSCLC patients. Methods: The clinical data of 925 NSCLC patients who received curative resection and post-operative AC at the Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences between 2003 and 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.TTAC was measured from the date of surgery to the initiation of AC. Disease-free survival(DFS) was defined as the duration from surgery to the time of tumor recurrence or last follow-up evaluation. The optimal cut-off value of TTAC was determined by maximally selected log-rank statistics. The DFS curve was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to identify risk factors independently associated with DFS. Propensity score matching(PSM) was performed for survival analysis using the match data. Results: The optimal discriminating cut-off value of TTAC was set at d 35 after curative resection based on which the patients were assigned into two groups: group A(≤35 d) and group B(>35 d). There was no significant difference in the DFS between the two groups(P=0.246), indicating that the TTAC is not an independent prognostic factor for DFS. A further comparison continued to show no significant difference in the DFS among 258 PSM pairs(P=0.283).Conclusions: There was no significant correlation between the TTAC and DFS in NSCLC patients. Studies with larger samples are needed to further verify this conclusion.Yutao Liu Xiaoyu Zhai Junling Li Zhiwen Li Di Ma Ziping Wang 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,3:2
14The roles of thyroid hormone receptor and T3 in metamorphosis of Haliotis diversicolor显示文摘Thyroid hormone is a kind of important hormone which regulates metamorphosis. Its role is well described in amphibian metamorphosis. Thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) have also been demonstrated to play a role in metamorphosis of marine invertebrates. However, the mechanism of thyroid hormone in metamorphosis of marine invertebrates remains unknown. A homolog of vertebrate thyroid hormone receptor (TR) was cloned and identified in abalone Haliotis diversicolor and was named HdTR . The mRNA expressions of HdTR , thyroid peroxidase ( TPO ), thyroid peroxidase 1 ( TPO1 ), idothyronine deiodinase Ⅲ( IDⅢ) and integrin alpha-V ( ITGAV ) had significant diff erence in metamorphosis of H . diversicolor . Metamorphosis rate and mortality rate were significantly diff erent in HdTR RNAi experiment and T3 inducing experiment. In RNAi experiment, ITGAV and CCND1 (cyclin D1) expression of dsRNA HdTR exposing group were significantly lower than those of blank control and negative control. But CTNNB (catenin beta) expression of dsRNA HdTR exposing group was higher than that those of blank control and negative control. ERK (extracellular signal regulated kinases) and PI3K (phosphoinositide-3-kinase) had no significant diff erence in RNAi experiment. Moreover, ITGAV of 1 μmol/L T3 group was significantly lower than that of 0 μmol/L T3 group, PI3K expression of 10 μmol/L T3 group was higher than that of 0 μmol/L T3 group, and the other genes expression had no significant diff erence in T3 inducing experiment. The data of genes expression suggested that CCND1 might be an eff ector gene of TR genomic action, while CTNNB might be regulated by unliganded TR. CCND1 and CTNNB may be involved in cell proliferation of metamorphosis. T3 might regulate the expression level of PI3K via nongenomic way. These results shed light on the mechanism of thyroid hormone in abalone metamorphosis.WANG Guodong ZHANG Lili XU Jianbo YIN Cheng ZHANG Ziping WANG Yilei 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,2:1

16Embedding ultrasmall Ag nanoclusters in Luria-Bertani extract via light irradiation for enhanced antibacterial activity显示文摘Ultrasmall silver nanoclusters(Ag NCs)with rich surface chemistry and good biocompatibility are promising in antibacterial application, however, further development of Ag NCs for practical settings has been constrained by their relatively weak antibacterial activity.Using the nutritionally-rich medium for bacteria(e.g.,Luria-Bertani(LB)medium)to coat active Ag NCs could further improve their antibacterial activity. Here,we provide a delicate design of a highly efficient Ag NCs@ELB antibacterial agent(ELB denotes the extract of LB medium)by anchoring Ag NCs inside the ELB species via light irradiation. The as-designed Ag NCs with bacterium-favored nutrients on the surface can be easily swallowed by the bacteria, boosting the production of the intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS,about 2-fold of that in the pristine Ag NCs).Subsequently,a higher concentration of ROS generated in Ag NCs@ELB leads to enhanced antibacterial activity, and enables to reduce the colony forming units(CFU)of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria with 3–4 orders of magnitude less than that treated with the pristine Ag NCs.In addition, the Ag NCs@ELB also shows good biocompatibility. This study suggests that surface engineering of active species(e.g.,Ag NCs)with nutritionally-rich medium of the bacteria is an efficient way to improve their antibacterial activity.Ziping Wang Yushuang Fang Xianfeng Zhou Zhibo Li Haiguang Zhu Fanglin Du Xun Yuan Qiaofeng Yao Jianping Xie 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:1
