1Forest Ecosystem Services and Their Values in Beijing显示文摘As the most important ecosystem in Beijing, the forest supports a lot of ecosystem services to local and around communities, which plays a key role in the maintenance of urban ecological security.However, the valuation on the forest ecosystem services based on regional scale could not provide precise and reasonable values for forestry sector management.In this study, we estimated the magnitudes and economic values of the forest ecosystem services in Beijing at sublot level.The economic value of forest ecosystem services in Beijing was estimated to be 19 339.71×10 6 yuan(RMB) in 2004.Among all the ecosystem services indicators we estimated in this study, only fruit, timber and part of the recreation(which only include the tourism income from the forest parks and scenic areas, but not include that from other forest types) were measured in the social economic system.As estimated in this study, more than 82.19% of the economic value of forest ecosystem services could not be measured in the socio-economic statistical system.The importance of forest ecosystem services in Beijing to human welfare was underestimated by the socio-economic system.Therefore, the policies about the eco-compensation of forest ecosystem services should be established to maintain the sustainable supply of the forest ecosystem services in Beijing.XIE Gaodi LI Wenhua XIAO Yu ZHANG Biao LU Chunxia AN Kai WANG Jixing XU Kang WANG Jinzeng 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,1:18

3High-Resolution Genome-wide Association Study Identifies Genomic Regions and Candidate Genes for Important Agronomic Traits in Wheat显示文摘Wheat(Triticum aestivum)is a major staple food crop worldwide.Genetic dissection of important agronomic traits is essential for continuous improvement of wheat yield to meet the demand of the world's growing population.We conducted a large-scale genome-wide association study(GWAS)using a panel of 768 wheat cultivars that were genotyped with 327609 single-nucleotide polymorphisms generated by genotyping-by-sequencing and detected 395 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for 12 traits under 7 environments.Among them,273 QTLs were delimited to≤1.0-Mb intervals and 7 of them are either known genes(Rht-D,Vrn-B1,and Vrn-D1)that have been cloned or known QTLs(TaGA2ox8,APO1,TaSus1-7B,and Rht12)that were previously mapped.Eight putative candidate genes were identified for three QTLs that enhance spike seed setting and grain size using gene expression data and were validated in three bi-parental populations.Protein sequence analysis identified 33 putative wheat orthologs that have high identity with rice genes in QTLs affecting similar traits.Large r^2 values for additive effects observed among the QTLs for most traits indicated that the phenotypes of these identified QTLs were highly predictable.Results from this study demonstrated that significantly increasing GWAS population size and marker density greatly improves detection and identification of candidate genes underlying a QTL,solidifying the foundation for large-scale QTL fine mapping,candidate gene validation,and developing functional markers for genomics-based breeding in wheat.Yunlong Pang Chunxia Liu Danfeng Wang Paul St.Amand Amy Bernardo Wenhui Li Fang He Linzhi Li Liming Wang Xiufang Yuan Lei Dong Yu Su Huirui Zhang Meng Zhao Yunlong Liangi Hongze Jia Xitong Shen Yue Lu Hongming Jiang Yuye Wu Anfei Li Honggang Wang Lingrang Kong Guihua Bai Shubing Liu 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:8
4Transcription factor ZmNAC126 plays an important role in transcriptional regulation of maize starch synthesis-related genes显示文摘Maize(Zea mays L.)is one of the most important food crops in the world,and starch is the main component of its endosperm.Transcriptional regulation plays a vital role in starch biosynthesis.However,it is not well understood in maize.We report the identification of the transcription factor ZmNAC126 and its role in regulation of starch synthesis in maize.Transcriptional expression of ZmNAC126 was higher in maize endosperm and kernels than in roots or stems.ZmNAC126 shared a similar expression pattern with starch synthesis genes during seed development,and its expression pattern was also consistent with the accumulation of starch.ZmNAC126 is a typical transcription factor with a transactivation domain between positions 201 and 227 of the amino acid sequence,is located in the nucleus,and binds to CACG repeats in vitro.Yeast one-hybrid assay revealed that ZmNAC126 bound the promoters of ZmGBSSI,ZmSSIIa,ZmSSIV,ZmISA1,and ZmISA2.Transient overexpression of ZmNAC126 in maize endosperm increased the activities of promoters pZmSh2,pZmBt2,pZmGBSSI,pZmSSIIIa,and pZmBT1 but inhibited the activities of pZmISA1 and pZmISA2.ZmNAC126 thus acts in starch synthesis by transcriptionally regulating targeted starch synthesis-related genes in maize kernels.Qianlin Xiao Yayun Wang Hui Li Chunxia Zhang Bin Wei Yongbin Wang Huanhuan Huang Yangping Li Guowu Yu Hanmei Liu Junjie Zhang Yinghong Liu Yufeng Hu Yubi Huang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:5

6Economic evaluation of cervical cancer screening strategies in urban China显示文摘Objective:This study evaluated the feasibility of different cervical cancer screening strategies in urban China.Methods:A Markov model was constructed to simulate a hypothetical cohort of 100,000 females aged 30-59 years in a 20-year period.Screening strategies included liquid-based cytology(LBC)every three years,human papillomavirus(HPV)DNA testing every three and five years,respectively,and a combination of HPV DNA testing and LBC(HPV+LBC)every three and five years,respectively.Model outcomes included cumulative incidence over 20 years,cumulative risk of cervical cancer,costs,life year saved(LYS),quality-adjusted life years(QALYs)and benefits.The cost-effectiveness ratios(CERs),incremental cost-effectiveness ratios(ICERs),costutility ratios(CURs),and benefit-cost ratios(BCRs)were used as outcomes in the health economic evaluation analysis.Univariate sensitivity analyses were performed to examine the stability of the results.Results:The cumulative incidence of the five screening strategies ranged from 833.02 to 1,158.07 cases per100,000 females.HPV DNA testing was most effective in reducing the cumulative risk of cervical cancer,saving life years and QALYs and gaining benefits.The CERs of HPV DNA testing every three and five years,and LBC every three years were considered to be very cost-effective if they were below China's GDP per capita.The CERs of HPV+LBC were considered to be cost-effective if they were below three times GDP per capita.The incremental cost-effectiveness analysis showed that HPV DNA testing every three and five years,LBC every three years and HPV+LBC every five years were dominant strategies.Conclusions:The findings of this study indicated that HPV DNA testing every five years or LBC every three years should be recommended in urban China.Li Ma Yuying Wang Xiaohong Gao Yi Dai Yu Zhang Zhaojing Wang Xiaoxia Wang Limin Wang Jing Jiang Xinhua Jing Chunxia Yang Fanghui Zhao Jinghe Lang Youlin Qiao 2019Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6:4
7Near-infrared luminescent Nd^(3+)/Yb^(3+)-codoped metal-organic framework for ratiometric temperature sensing in physiological range显示文摘Self-calibrating luminescent thermometry employing luminescence within the optical transparency windows provides a promising prospect for temperature measurement in the biological fields.In this work,a new Nd^(3+)/Yb^(3+)-codoped metal-organic framework Nd_(0.95)Yb_(0.05)BPTC showing threedimensional anionic network,obtained by reacting ligand[1,1’-biphenyl]-3,3’,5,5’-tetracarboxylic acid(H4BPTC)with Nd^(3+)and Yb^(3+)ions under solvothermal conditions,is reported.Upon 808 nm photoexcitation,Nd_(0.95)Yb_(0.05)BPTC simultaneously emits the characteristic near-infrared luminescence of Nd^(3+)and Yb^(3+)ions based on the efficient energy transfer from Nd^(3+)to Yb^(3+)ions.In addition,the emission intensity ratio of Yb^(3+)and Nd^(3+)shows good exponential-like response to temperature in the physiological range of 293-323 K.The feature properties of Nd_(0.95)Yb_(0.05)BPTC include near-infrared absorption and emission,favorable temperature sensitivity and accurate temperature uncertainty,as well as good chemical stability,making such system useful in biomedical applications.Chao Gu Yanyun Ding Xinghua Quan Mengyao Gong Jiulong Yu Dian Zhao Chunxia Li 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,9:4
8Characterization of a Novel Anti-DR5 Monoclonal Antibody WD1 with the Potential to Induce Tumor Cell Apoptosis显示文摘TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a TNF family member capable of inducing apoptosis. Death receptor 5 (DR 5) is a key receptor of TRAIL and plays an important role in TRAIL-induced apoptosis. To prepare monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against DR5,cDNA encoding soluble DR5 (sDR5) was firstly amplified by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with specific primers,and then inserted into a prokaryotic expression vector pET-30a. The recombinant plasmid was expressed in Escherichia coli strain BL21 (DE3),and sDR5 was purified by nickel affinity chromatography. As an antigen,sDR5 was used to immunize mice. Hybridomas secreting antibodies against sDR5 were identified. One positive clone was selected to produce antibody,WD1. ELISA and immunofluorescence demonstrated that WD1 could bind recombinant sDR5 and membrane-bound DR5 (mDR5) on Jurkat and Molt-4 cells. ATPLite assays showed that Jurkat and Molt-4 cells were sensitive to the antibody in a dose dependent manner. The Annexin V/PI assays and Giemsa's staining both showed that WD1 could induce Jurkat cell apoptosis efficiently. Transient transfection of 293T cells and indirect immunofluorescence assay demonstrated that mAb (WD1) couldn't cross-react with DR4. Our findings indicated that the novel antibody,WD1 could act as a direct agonist,bind DR5 characteristically,and initiate efficient apoptotic signaling and tumor regression. 9Development and validation of an HPLC–MS/MS method to determine clopidogrel in human plasma显示文摘A quantitative method for clopidogrel using online-SPE tandem LC–MS/MS was developed and fully validated according to the well-established FDA guidelines.The method achieves adequate sensitivity for pharmacokinetic studies,with lower limit of quantifications(LLOQs)as low as 10 pg/m L.Chromatographic separations were performed on reversed phase columns Kromasil Eternity-2.5-C18-UHPLC for both methods.Positive electrospray ionization in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)mode was employed for signal detection and a deuterated analogue(clopidogrel-d_4)was used as internal standard(IS).Adjustments in sample preparation,including introduction of an online-SPE system proved to be the most effective method to solve the analyte back-conversion in clinical samples.Pooled clinical samples(two levels)were prepared and successfully used as real-sample quality control(QC)in the validation of back-conversion testing under different conditions.The result showed that the real samples were stable in room temperature for 24 h.Linearity,precision,extraction recovery,matrix effect on spiked QC samples and stability tests on both spiked QCs and real sample QCs stored in different conditions met the acceptance criteria.This online-SPE method was successfully applied to a bioequivalence study of75 mg single dose clopidogrel tablets in 48 healthy male subjects.Gangyi Liu Chunxia Dong Weiwei Shen Xiaopei Lu Mengqi Zhang Yuzhou Gui Qinyi Zhou Chen Yu 2016Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,1:3

12Combined cell grafting and VPA administration facilitates neural repair through axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis in traumatic brain injury显示文摘Neuronal regeneration and functional recovery are severely compromised following traumatic brain injury(TBl).Treatment options,including cell transplantation and drug therapy,have been shown to benefit TBl,although the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.In this study,neural stem cells(NSCs)are transplanted into TBl-challenged mice,together with olfactory ensheathing cells(OECs)or followed by valproic acid(VPA)treatment.Both OEC grafting and VPA treatment facilitate the differentiation of NSCs into neurons(including endogenous and exogenous neurons)and significantly attenuate neurological functional defects in TBl mice.Combination of NSCs with OECs or VPA administration leads to overt improvement in axonal regeneration,synaptogenesis,and synaptic plasticity in the cerebral cortex in TBl-challenged mice,as shown by retrograde corticospinal tract tracing,electron microscopy,growth-associated protein 43(GAP43),and synaptophysin(SYN)analyses.However,these beneficial effects of VPA are reversed by local delivery of N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)into tissues surrounding the injury epicenter in the cerebral cortex,accompanied by a pronounced drop in axons and synapses in the brain.Our findings reveal that increased axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis evoked by cell grafting and VPA fosters neural repair in a murine model of TBl.Moreover,VPA-induced neuroprotective roles are antagonized by exogenous NMDA administration and its concomitant decrease in the number of neurons of local brain,indicating that increased neurons induced by VPA treatment mediate axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis in mice after TBl operation.Collectively,this study provides new insights into NSC transplantation therapy for TBI.Sujuan Liu Haili Tian Yanmei Niu Chunxia Yu Lingjian Xie Zhe Jin Wenyan Niu Jun Ren Li Fu Zhi Yao 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9:1

14Carbon Sequestration in Forest Vegetation of Beijing at Sublot Level显示文摘Based on forest inventory data (FID) at sublot level,we estimated the carbon sequestration in forest vegetation of Beijing,China in 2009.In this study,the carbon sequestration in forest vegetation at sublot level was calculated based on net biomass production (ΔB) which was estimated with biomass of each sublot and function relationships between ΔB and biomass.The biomass of forested land was calculated with biomass expansion factors (BEFs) method,while those of shrub land and other forest land types were estimated with biomass,coverage and height of referred shrubs and shrub coverage and height of each sublot.As one of special forested land types,the biomass of economic tree land was calculated with biomass per tree and tree number.The variation of carbon sequestration in forest vegetation with altitude,species and stand age was also investigated in this study.The results indicate that the carbon sequestration in forest vegetation in Beijing is 4.12 × 106 tC/yr,with the average rate of 3.94 tC/(ha·yr).About 56.91% of the total carbon sequestration in forest vegetation is supported by the forest in the plain with an altitude of < 60 m and the low mountainous areas with an altitude from 400 m to 800 m.The carbon sequestration rate in forest vegetation is the highest in the plain area with an altitude of < 60 m and decreased significantly in the transitional area from the low plain to the low mountainous area with an altitude ranging from 200 m to 400 m due to intensive human disturbance.The carbon sequestration of Populus spp.forest and Quercus spp.forest are relatively higher than those of other plant species,accounting for 25.33% of the total.The carbon sequestration in vegetation by the forest of < 40 years amounts to 45.38% of the total.The carbon sequestration rate in forest vegetation peaks at the stand age of 30–40 years.Therefore,it would be crucial for enhancing the capability of carbon sequestration in forest vegetation to protect the forest in Beijing,to limit human disturbance in the transitional area from the plain to the low mountain area,and to foster the newly established open forest.XIAO Yu AN Kai XIE Gaodi LU Chunxia ZHANG Biao 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,3:1
