Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event.TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou 2018Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3:12
Malnutrition and Quality of Life in Chinese Cancer Patients: a Clinical Study of 23,994 Subjects显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer, and can negatively impact their quality of life(QoL)and even survival. However, there is currently no large data available on the prevalence of malnutrition in Chinese cancer patients. This study evaluated the prevalence of malnutrition and the QoL of Chinese patients with locoregional, recurrent or metastatic cancer. Methods We conducted a nationwide observational,multi-center,hospital-based cross-sectional study within the Chinese Society of Nutritional Oncology(CSNO)Network. All of the patients were diagnosed with one of the following 18 different types of malignant tumors:lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, malignant lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, brain cancer, biliary tract malignant tumors or gastrointestinal stromal tumors. These patients were enrolled from 72 hospitals located in different regions of China. The patients’nutritional status was evaluated based on the body mass index(BMI),loss of bodyweight, laboratory measurements and patient generated-subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)scores.The cancer patients’physical status and QoL were assessed by the Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)questionnaire and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer(EORTC)QLQ-C30 questionnaire, respectively. Results From December 2013 to April 2016,23,994 patients hospitalized for cancer treatment(such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy)were enrolled in the study. The patients included 12,494(52.9%)males and 11,124(47.1%)females.The mean age was 55.8±13.7 years. The proportions of patients in cancer stagesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳand uncertain were 11.5%,20.3%,27.5%,30.2%and 10.5%,respectively.Among the 23,994 inpatients, the proportions of patients who were underweight(BMI<18.5 kg/m2),normal(18.5 kg/m2Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Zhen Ming Fu Chang Wang Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Fu Xiang Zhou Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Min Weng Qing Hua Yao Jiu Wei Cui Wei Li Han Ping Shi the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)Group 2021Journal of Nutritional Oncology2021,6,1:8
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2016Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. Conclusion The Chinese version of the PG-SGA is a valid tool to access the patients’ nutritional status for Chinese gastric patients.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2018Journal of Nutritional Oncology2018,3,4:5

Superhigh selective capture of volatile organic compounds exploiting cigarette butts-derived engineering carbonaceous adsorbent显示文摘Herein,we develop cost-efficient superhigh-performance of engineering carbonaceous adsorbent from cigarette butts using combined wet-impregnated and re-dispersed method of KOH,which optimizes the implant approach of activator, breaking the restriction of selective capture of toluene using traditional activated carbon. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area and pore volume of targeted adsorbent can attain 3088 m^(2)·g^(-1) and 1.61 cm^(3)·g^(-1),respectively,by optimizing the temperaturedependent synthetic factor effect of the adsorbent. The adsorption capacity of resultant adsorbent for presenting volatile benzene and toluene shows a positive correlation with increasing carbonization temperature of carbon precursor.Besides,we demonstrated the unsmoked and smoked butts derived adsorbents afford feeble difference in saturated adsorbed capacity of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).The highest adsorption capacity of sample CF-800 for benzene and toluene in CF group is as high as 1268.1 and 1181.6 mg·g^(-1) respectively, slightly higher than that of sample UF-800,but far outperforming reported other adsorbents. The predicted adsorption selectivity of CF-800 and UF-800 for C_(7)H_(8)/H_(2)O(g)using the DIH(difference of isosteric heats)equation reach up to ca.3800 and 7500 respectively, indicating the weak adsorbability of water vapor on the developed adsorbent and greater superiority of the smoked butts derived adsorbents in selective capture of VOCs at low relative humidity in the competitive adsorption process for practical mixed VOCs.Wenjian Zhu Xuhua Shen Rui Ou Manoj Murugesan Aihua Yuan Jianfeng Liu Xiaocai Hu Zhen Yang Ming Shen Fu Yang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6:1

Phase I trial of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells for treatment of severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia显示文摘Severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)is a chronic lung disorder that primarily affects premature babies with extremely low birth weight and involves in multiple organ system;no effective pharmacotherapy for this disease exists, and mortality remains high.Based on the evidence from previous preclinical studies and phase I clinical trials, this study aims to test the safety of intravenous application of a single dose of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hUC-MSCs)in patients with severe BPD.The Mesenchymal Stem cells for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Treatment(MSBDT)trial is a single center,open-label,dose-escalation phase I clinical trial.Severe BPD patients were enrolled in Children Hospital of Chongqing Medical University,Chongqing,China. The first six patients were treated with low-dose hUC-MSCs(1×10^(6) cells/kg)and the next seven patients were treated with high-dose hUC-MSCs(5×10^(6) cells/kg).This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,number NCT03558334.No prespecified infusion-associated adverse events, immediate complication, respiratory or cardiovascular compromise were observed during infusion and 24 h after infusion. No significant changes in safety laboratory values were observed. One death event occurred in the low-dose group on study day 10,and one death event occurred in the high-dose group on study day 24,while,after review in detail, the two cases are not believed to be infusion-associated events. In conclusion, intravenous application of a single dose of hUC-MSCs was tolerated in thirteen patients with severe BPD.Yunqiu Xia Tingyuan Lang Yuqin Niu Xian Wu Ou Zhou Jihong Dai Lei Bao Ke Yang Lin Zou Zhou Fu Gang Geng 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,2:1
“Reinforced concrete”-like flexible transparent electrode for organic solar cells with high efficiency and mechanical robustness显示文摘Flexible transparent electrodes(FTEs) with robust mechanical stability are crucial for the industrial application of flexible organic solar cells(OSCs). However, their production remains challenging owing to the difficulty in balancing the conductivity, transmittance, and adhesion of FTEs to substrates. Herein, we present the so-called “reinforced concrete” strategy which finetunes the structure of silver nanowires(Ag NWs)-based FTEs with polydopamine(PDA) possessing good adhesion properties and moderate reducibility. The PDA reduces Ag+to form silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs) which grow like “rivets” at the Ag NW junction sites;PDA stabilizes the Ag NW skeleton and improves the adhesion between the Ag NWs and polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate and interface layer. The obtained Ag NW:PDA:Ag NP FTE exhibits excellent optoelectronic properties and high mechanical stability. The resulting flexible OSCs exhibit 17.07% efficiency, high flexibility during 10,000 bending test cycles, and robust peeling stability. In addition, this “reinforced concrete”-like FTE provides great advantages for the production of large-area flexible OSCs, thereby paving a new way toward their commercial application.Yang Chen Juanyong Wan Guiying Xu Xiaoxiao Wu Xinqi Li Yunxiu Shen Fu Yang Xuemei Ou Yaowen Li Yongfang Li 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,6:1

JASMONATE-ZIM DOMAIN proteins engage Polycomb chromatin modifiers to modulate Jasmonate signaling in Arabidopsis显示文摘Jasmonate(JA)regulates various aspects of plant growth and development and stress responses, with prominent roles in male reproductive development and defenses against herbivores and necrotrophic pathogens.JASMONATE-ZIM DOMAIN(JAZ)proteins are key regulators in the JA signaling pathway and function to repress the expression of JA-responsive genes. Here,we show that JAZ proteins directly interact with several chromatin-associated Polycomb proteins to mediate repressive chromatin modifications at JA-responsive genes and, thus, their transcriptional repression in Arabidopsis.Genetic analyses revealed that the developmental defects, including anther and pollen abnormalities, resulting from loss or block of JA signaling were partially rescued by loss of Polycomb protein-mediated chromatin silencing(Polycomb repression). We further found that JAZ-mediated transcriptional repression during anther and pollen development requires Polycomb proteins at four key Regulatory loci.Analysis of genome-wide occupancy of a Polycomb factor and transcriptome reprogramming in response to JA revealed that Polycomb repression is involved in the repression of various JA-responsive genes.Taken together, our study reveals an important chromatin-based mechanism for JAZ-mediated transcriptional repression and JA signaling in plants.Zicong Li Xiao Luo Yang Ou Huijun Jiao Li Peng Xing Fu Alberto P.Macho Renyi Liu Yuehui He 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,5:1
No tillage outperforms conventional tillage under arid conditions and following fertilization显示文摘Reduced tillage practices present a tool that could sustainably intensify agriculture. The existing literature, however, lacks a consensus on how and when reduced tillage practices should get implemented. We reanalyzed here an extensive dataset comparing how regular tillage practices(i.e.,conventional tillage)impacted yield of eight crops compared to stopping tillage altogether(i.e.,no-tillage practice). We observed that aridity and fertilization favored no tillage over conventional tillage whereas conventional tillage performed better under high fertility settings. We further show that the responses are consistent across the crops. Our reanalysis complements the original and fills a gap in the literature questioning the conditions under which reducing tillage presents a viable alternative to common tillage practices.Stavros D.Veresoglou Junjiang Chen Xuheng Du Qi Fu QingLiu Geng Chenyan Huang Xilin Huang Nan Hu Yiming Hun Guolin C.Li Zhiman Lin Zhiyu Ma Yuyi Ou Shuo Qi Haitian Qin Yingbo Qiu Xibin Sun Ye Tao YiLing Tian Jie Wang Lingxiao Wu Ziwei Wu Siqi Xie Ao Yang Dan Yang Chen Zeng Ying Zeng RuJie Zhang 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,1:1
Superb VOCs capture engineering carbon adsorbent derived from shaddock peel owning uncompromising thermal-stability and adsorption property显示文摘High applied thermal-stability and superior structural property for activated carbon adsorbent are extremely promising, which also is the determining short slab in volatile organic compounds(VOCs)adsorption applications.Herein,we develop the outstanding engineering carbon adsorbents from waste shaddock peel which affords greatly-enhanced thermal-stability and super structural property(S_(Lang)=4962.6 m2·g^(-1),Vmicro=1.67 cm^(3)·g^(-1)).Such character endows the obtained adsorbent with ultrahigh adsorption capture performance of VOCs specific to benzene(16.58 mmol·g^(-1))and toluene(15.50 mmol·g^(-1),far beyond traditional zeolite and activated carbon even MOFs materials. The structural expression characters were accurately correlated with excellent adsorption efficiency of VOCs by studying synthetic factor-controlling comparative samples.Ulteriorly, adsorption selectivity prediction at different relative humidity was demonstrated through DIH(difference of the isosteric heats),exceedingly highlighting great superiority(nearly sixfold)in selective adsorption of toluene compared to volatile benzene. Our findings provide the possibility for practical industrial application and fabrication of waste biomass-derived outstanding biochar adsorbent in the environmental treatment of threatening VOCs pollutants.Fu Yang Wenhao Li Rui Ou Yutong Lu Xuexue Dong Wenlong Tu Wenjian Zhu Xuyu Wang Lulu Li Aihua Yuan Jianming Pan 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,7:1
Photocatalytic direct oxygen-isotopic labelings of carbonyls in ketones and aldehydes with oxygen-isotopic waters显示文摘Oxygen-isotopic labelings play important roles in identifying and understanding chemical and biological processes.Direct C=O to C=^(18)O or C=^(17)O conversion in a single step leading to labeled compounds can alleviate synthetic burdens without the need for resynthesis. Here we describe a photocatalytic oxygenisotopic labeling protocol that can efficiently and selectively install ^(18)O and ^(17)O on carbonyls of ketones and aldehydes via oxygen isotope exchange with oxygen-isotopic waters(H_(2)^(18)O or H_(2)^(17)O)as the sources of oxygen isotopes,in which light and oxygen-enabled sodium alkanesulfinates catalyzed this process. This strategy was extended to the in-situ formed ketones from the photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of alkyl arenes and secondary alcohols.Furthermore, reduction of the oxygen-isotopically labeled aldehydes with NaBH_(4) provided the corresponding oxygen-isotopically labeled primary alcohols. We believe that the oxygen-isotopically labeling method will be widely used in chemistry, biology and medicine fields.Xianjin Zhu Yong Liu Lunyu Ou Haijun Yang Hua Fu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0
