1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 2Development of high-temperature superconducting filters operating at temperatures above 90 K显示文摘This paper represents the development of a high temperature superconducting (HTS) filter, the highest operating temperature of which is up to 93 K. The filter is designed for S band with 4% fractional bandwidth and fabricated using thallium-barium-calcium-copper oxide (Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8) thin films. At 93 K, the measurements of the filter show that the insertion loss in the passband is less than 0.22 dB, the return loss is better than 20 dB, and the out-of-band rejection is more than 80 dB. The analysis on the characteristics of the filter operating at different temperatures shows that the filter can work well at temperatures around 90 K. The temperature of 93 K is the highest among the previous reports for HTS filters. 3Geochemical characteristics of soil selenium and evaluation of Serich land resources in the central area of Guiyang City,China显示文摘Based on the results of multipurpose regional geochemical surveys of the Guizhou Province, geochemical characteristics of soil Se and Se-rich land resources in the central area of Guiyang City were studied and evaluated.Major conclusions are as follows:(1) the Se content in surface soil of the central area of Guiyang City was 0.17–2.89 mg kg^(-1), and the average was 0.78 mg kg^(-1), which were respectively 2.6 and 3.9 times of the national background value of soil and the world background value of soil.The Se content in deep soil was 0.11–1.48 mg kg^(-1), and the average was 0.44 mg kg^(-1), which were respectively 1.5 and2.2 times of the national background value of soil and the world background value of soil. The soil Se content decreased with the increase in the soil depth on the vertical profile, and the surface soil had a higher Se content.(2)Distribution of Se content was mainly affected by parent material, physicochemical properties of soil and other components, soil type, and land use type. Parent material played a key role, as the soil Se content was mainly originated from parent rock and increased with the background value of Se in parent rock, physicochemical properties of soil and other components had certain influences upon the Se content. Se was shown to have a significant linear positive correlation with S and organic carbon but no significant correlation with p H value. Se content varied with different types of soil as follows: skeleton soil > yellow soil > paddy soil > limestone soil > purple soil. Land use type also hadcertain influences upon the soil Se content as follows: dry land > construction land > garden plot > grassland =garden plot > forest land.(3) Taking 0.4 mg kg^(-1)B x(Se) <3.0 mg kg^(-1) as the standard for Se-rich soil, Se-rich soil of the study area covered an area of 2224 km^2 and 92.5% of the total area; the remaining is general soil. The study area had no Se-excess soil. 4HTS filter subsystem for future mobile communication system显示文摘A high-temperature superconducting(HTS) filter subsystem consisting of a 10-pole HTS filter with group delay self-equalization,a cryogenic low noise amplifier(LNA) ,and a cooling device is presented in this paper. The HTS filter has a 0.51% fractional bandwidth at 1955 MHz,simulated in Sonnet,and is fabricated using double-sided Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 films on 0.5 mm thick LaAlO3 substrate. Measured responses show that the minimum insertion loss of the filter is 0.16 dB,and the out-of-band rejection is better than 75 dB. The slope is 27 dB MHz-1 at the low band edge and 22 dB MHz-1 at the upper band edge. The HTS filter subsystem has a gain of 19.3 dB and a noise figure(NF) of 0.8 dB. 5Development of X-band high temperature superconducting filters显示文摘A synthesized design method is proposed to design microstrip band-pass filters. The impact of the box structure to the filter performance is considered besides the structure of microstrip. An X-band high temperature superconducting (HTS) microstrip filter for deep space network is designed using this method. The six-pole microstrip band-pass filter at frequency of 9500 ± 500 MHz is realized using TBCCO HTS thin film grown on 0.5 mm thick LaAlO3 substrate. The filter shows very high rejection of 90 dB in the stopband and extremely low loss less than 0.2 dB. 6Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 7RAPD tagging of a salt tolerant gene in rice显示文摘A salt tolerant rice mutant was obtained through tissue culture. The inheritance of salt tolerance in F2 population of mutant crossed with its original variety under salt stress was studied. According to the standard, the ratio of salt tolerant: sensitive was about 3:1 suggesting that there was a major gene related to salt tolerance in the mutant. By RAPD analysis with 220 10mer primers, the gene was tagged by a 1.0 kb DNA fragment named OPS1210 which was located on chromosome 7. 13Preoperative Chemoradiotherapy for Inflammatory Breast Cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of preoperative chemoradiotherapy for inflammatory breast cancer. METHODS From December 1996 to December 2000, we received and treated 21 patients with inflammatory breast carcinoma with a combined-modality treatment. The chemotherapy protocol consisted of cyclophos-phamide (CTX), pirarubicin (THP-ADM) and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) or CTX, 5-Fu and methotrexate (MTX). The same infusion scheme was repeated on day 21. After 3-4 cycles the patients were treated with radiotherapy. When the radiation dose reached 40 Gy, the patients who were unable or unwilling to under go an operation received continued radiotherapy. When the radiation dose to the supra clavicular fossa and internal mammary lymph nodes reached 60 Gy and 50 Gy respectively, the radiotherapy was stopped. Chemotherapy was then continued with the original scheme. Patients who had indications for surgery and were willing to under go an operation received no treatment for 2 weeks, after which a total mastectomy was performed. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy was resumed with the original scheme after the operations. When the radiation dose reached 50 Gy, radiotherapy was stopped. RESULTS All patients were followed-up for more than 5 years with a follow-up rate of 100%. The overall 3 and 5-year survival rates of these patients were 42.9%, and 23.8% respectively. For patients in Stage IIIB the 3 and 5-year survival rates were 50.0% and 27.8% respectively, and for patients in Stage IV, the 3 and 5-year survival rates were both 0.0%. There was a significant difference between the 2 stage groups (P<0.05, x2=11.60). For patients who received an operation, the 3 and 5-year survival rates were 80.0% and 33.3% respectively, For patients who were not treated with an operation, the 3 and 5 -year survival rates were both 0.0%, There was a significant difference between the operated and non-operated groups (P<0.05, x2=11.64). CONCLUSION The prognosis of inflammatory breast carcinoma is poor. 16Observatory science with eXTP显示文摘In this White Paper we present the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to Observatory Science targets. These include flaring stars, supernova remnants, accreting white dwarfs, low and high mass X-ray binaries, radio quiet and radio loud active galactic nuclei, tidal disruption events, and gamma-ray bursts. eXTP will be excellently suited to study one common aspect of these objects: their often transient nature. 18Development of cryogenically-cooled low noise amplifier for mobile base station receivers显示文摘A new circuit model for designing and manufacturing an S-band low noise amplifier(LNA) with the software,Advanced Design System(ADS),is introduced in this paper.The proposed model involves shunted impedance at the grid to achieve a stable LNA without measuring the S-parameters of transistors at low temperatures.The LNA was measured over the operation band of 2.2-2.3 GHz,which has input and output standing wave ratios below 1.2.The noise figure of the manufactured LNA was about 0.2 dB and the gain was above 22 dB,which indicated that our LNA worked well at 77 K.ZHANG Xu LIU Jia CHEN ChuangYe LIU Wei LIU JingBin LI BaoHui HE Ming ZHOU TieGe ZHAO XinJie YAN ShaoLin FANG Lan 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,35:0
