2Serum cystatin C levels are negatively correlated with post-stroke cognitive dysfunction显示文摘Stroke is the leading cause of death and long-term disability worldwide,and cognitive impairment and dementia are major complications of ischemic stroke.Cystatin C (CysC) has been found to be a neuroprotective factor in animal studies.However,the relationship between CysC levels and cognitive dysfunction in previous studies has revealed different results.This prospective observational study investigated the correlation between serum CysC levels and post-stroke cognitive dysfunction at 3 months.Data from 638 patients were obtained from the China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke (CATIS).Cognitive dysfunction was assessed using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) at 3 months after stroke.According to the MMSE score,308 patients (52.9%) had post-stroke cognitive dysfunction.After adjusting for potential confounding factors,the odds ratio (95% CI) of post-stroke cognitive dysfunction for the highest quartile of serum CysC levels was 0.54 (0.30–0.98),compared with the lowest quartile.The correlation between serum CysC and cognitive dysfunction was modified by renal function status.We observed a negative linear dose-response correlation between CysC and cognitive dysfunction in patients with normal renal function (Plinearity = 0.044),but not in those with abnormal renal function.Elevated serum CysC levels were correlated with a low risk of 3-month cognitive dysfunction in patients with acute ischemic stroke,especially in those with normal renal function.The current results suggest that CysC is a protective factor for post-stroke cognitive dysfunction,and could be used to treat post-stroke cognitive dysfunction.The CATIS study was approved by the Institutional Review Boards at Soochow University from China (approval No.2012-02) on December 30,2012,and was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (identifier No.NCT01840072) on April 25,2013.Dao-Xia Guo Zheng-Bao Zhu Chong-Ke Zhong Xiao-Qing Bu Li-Hua Chen Tan Xu Li-Bing Guo Jin-Tao Zhang Dong Li Jian-Hui Zhang Zhong Ju Chung-Shiuan Chen Jing Chen Yong-Hong Zhang Jiang He 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,5:14
3Curative effect of Dingqi analgesic patch on cancer pain:a single-blind randomized controlled trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of an acupoint application with a Dingqi analgesic patch on moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer.METHODS:Forty patients with moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer were randomly divided intoatreatmentgroup(TG)andacontrolgroup(CG).Patients with moderate pain were given 100 mg qd of a sustainably released tablet of tramadol hydrochloride;patientswithseverepainweregiven4.2mg q3d of the fentanyl transdermal system.The ashi points Ganshu(BL 18),Danshu(BL 19) and Qimen(LR 14) were chosen for the acupoint application intervention.CG patients were given a sham patch and TG patients were given a Dingqi analgesic patch.A visual analogue scale(VAS) was used before treatment and after 1,3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment.The Karnofsky score was measured before treatment and after 12 days of treatment.Any main adverse reactions(e.g.nausea,constipation,dizziness and headache) were recorded after 6 and 12 days of treatment.Any skin side effects(i.e.skin irritation and allergic reactions) were recorded.RESULTS:The VAS in TG was significantly lower than that in CG after 3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Karnofsky score before treatment and after 12 days of treatment between CG and TG.There were also no significant differences in the main adverse reactions or skin side effects after 6 and 12 days of treatment between CG andTG(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The Dingqi analgesic patch can enhance the analgesic effect of tramadol and fentanyl.Changjun Wang Wei Tan Xuhui Huang Tingting Fu Juze Lin Junmin Bu Guojian Wei Yu Du 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:9
4Gangba sheep in the Tibetan plateau:Validating their unique meat quality and grazing factor analysis显示文摘Gangba sheep are known for having typical sensory characteristics attributed to free range conditions and grazing on wild plants.The genuine Gangba mutton was selected as the experimental group,and the commercial Tibetan mutton was selected as the control group,the nutritive composition of basic chemical components,amino acids and fatty acids in mutton were investigated to correlate its unique meat quality and eating satisfaction.The results showed that fatty acids were significantly higher(P<0.05)in Gangba mutton than in commercial mutton,and the higher content of flavoring amino acids(glutamic acid and aspartame)were primarily responsible for the taste attributes umami of meat juices.Moreover,the trace elements analysis in mutton and grazing factors(forage,water source and soil)were conducted,to explain the source of essential trace elements in mutton.The concentrations of essential trace elements show that the Gangba mutton was a valuable source for highly available Cu and Zn in human nutrition,and well managed with few detected of toxicity metal.The concentrations of essential trace elements in mutton are closely related to the trace elements in environmental grazing factors.In conclusion,the congenital grazing conditions(a highly mineralized water resource,natural forages and clean soils)were shown to contribute to the unique meat characteristics of Gangba sheep.Qiangying Zhang Ming Que Wei Li Shuang Gao Xin Tan Duo Bu 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:8
5Motion Planning for Industrial Robots Based on Task Process Decomposition显示文摘The existing research of the industrial robotic motion planning mainly focuses on the trajectory planning and the path planning,which aim at obtaining a minimum-time trajectory and finding an obstacle-free path respectively.In the trajectory planning,the jerks of robotic joints are usually not considered,so the smoothness of the robotic motion cannot be ensured.In the path planning,the complex spatial curves generally cannot be tracked easily,and it needs the fussy teach-and-playback operation.In this paper,based on the different constraint characteristic of the variable motion phases in the practical robotic task,the complicated task is decomposed into two kinds of sub processes,which are the free motion process and the constrained motion process.In the free motion process,the kinematic models of quasi trapezoidal waveform and quasi triangular waveform are proposed with the dynamic limits of maximum velocities,accelerations and jerks of robotic joints,so the minimum-time trajectory can be obtained with the motion smoothness.In the constrained motion process,the mathematical presentation of the task paths is extracted from the CAD models of the workpieces,so the complex spatial curves can be tracked autonomously without much teaching operation.In addition to the theoretical research,a robotic virtual prototyping system is also developed for the industrial arc welding production.The proposed research ensures the robotic motion smoothness,enhances the ability for tracking the complex spatial curves,and improves the quality and efficiency of the robotic motion planning.BU Wanghui LIU Zhenyu TAN Jianrong 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,2:7
6Comparison of visual quality in cataract patients with low astigmatism after ART2 or ReSTOR intraocular lens implantation显示文摘AIM: To compare visual quality in cataract patients with low corneal astigmatism who underwent intraocular lens(IOL) implantation, and evaluate effects of low levels of astigmatism on visual outcomes in multifocal pseudophakic eyes.METHODS: This retrospective review of clinical records comprised patients with preoperative regular corneal astigmatism of 0.75-1.0 diopters(D) with-the-rule or 0.5-0.75 D against-the-rule who had uneventful cataract surgery and AcrySof IQ ReSTOR Toric-2 IOL(ART2) or AcrySof IQ ReSTOR IOL(ReSTOR) implantation. Retrospective data collection included postoperative ART2 axis rotation, uncorrected astigmatism, uncorrected entire visual acuities, distance corrected entire visual acuities, average modulation transfer function(aMTF), Strehl ratio(SR), spectacle independence, and patient satisfaction between groups.RESULTS: Mean ART2 axis rotation was 3.12°±0.70°. No secondary surgery was required to realign IOL axis. Residual astigmatism values were-0.18±0.07 D and-0.91±0.25 D in groups ART2 and ReSTOR(P<0.05). Three months postoperatively, the mean uncorrected distant, intermediate, and near visual acuities of group A were 0.01±0.05, 0.05±0.07, 0.02±0.07 logMAR, respectively; these were better than those of group R, which were 0.08±0.06, 0.15±0.12, and 0.09±0.08 logMAR, respectively(P<0.05). aMTF, SR, and spectacle independence rates were not significantly different. 7Evolutionary annotation of conserved long non-coding RNAs in major mammalian species显示文摘Mammalian genomes contain tens of thousands of long non-coding RNAs(lnc RNAs) that have been implicated in diverse biological processes. However, the lnc RNA transcriptomes of most mammalian species have not been established, limiting the evolutionary annotation of these novel transcripts. Based on RNA sequencing data from six tissues of nine species, we built comprehensive lnc RNA catalogs(4,142–42,558 lnc RNAs) covering the major mammalian species. Compared to protein-coding RNAs, expression of lnc RNAs exhibits striking lineage specificity. Notably, although 30%–99% human lnc RNAs are conserved across different species on DNA locus level, only 20%–27% of these conserved lnc RNA loci are detected to transcription, which represents a stark contrast to the proportion of conserved protein-coding genes(48%–80%). This finding provides a valuable resource for experimental scientists to study the mechanisms of lnc RNAs. Moreover, we constructed lnc RNA expression phylogenetic trees across nine mammals and demonstrated that lnc RNA expression profiles can reliably determine phylogenic placement in a manner similar to their coding counterparts. Our data also reveal that the evolutionary rate of lnc RNA expression varies among tissues and is significantly higher than those for protein-coding genes. To streamline the processes of browsing lnc RNAs and detecting their evolutionary statuses, we integrate all the data produced in this study into a database named Phylo NONCODE(http://gffzz4d3d7636fb124c4fhooxvuxqnubuw6u60.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/phylo Noncode). 10Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V.
