1Wnt/b-catenin signaling plays an ever-expanding role in stem cell self-renewal,tumorigenesis and cancer chemoresistance显示文摘Wnt signaling transduces evolutionarily conserved pathways which play important roles in initiating and regulating a diverse range of cellular activities,including cell proliferation,calcium homeostasis,and cell polarity.The role of Wnt signaling in controlling cell proliferation and stem cell self-renewal is primarily carried out through the canonical pathway,which is the best-characterized the multiple Wnt signaling branches.The past 10 years has seen a rapid expansion in our understanding of the complexity of this pathway,as many new components of Wnt signaling have been identified and linked to signaling regulation,stem cell functions,and adult tissue homeostasis.Additionally,a substantial body of evidence links Wnt signaling to tumorigenesis of cancer types and implicates it in the development of cancer drug resistance.Thus,a better understanding of the mechanisms by which dysregulation of Wnt signaling precedes the development and progression of human cancer may hasten the development of pathway inhibitors to augment current therapy.This review summarizes and synthesizes our current knowledge of the canonical Wnt pathway in development and disease.We begin with an overview of the components of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and delve into the role this pathway has been shown to play in stemness,tumorigenesis,and cancer drug resistance.Ultimately,we hope to present an organized collection of evidence implicating Wnt signaling in tumorigenesis and chemoresistance to facilitate the pursuit of Wnt pathway modulators that may improve outcomes of cancers in which Wnt signaling contributes to aggressive disease and/or treatment resistance.Maryam K.Mohammed Connie Shao Jing Wang Qiang Wei Xin Wang Zachary Collier Shengli Tang Hao Liu Fugui Zhang Jiayi Huang Dan Guo Minpeng Lu Feng Liu Jianxiang Liu Chao Ma Lewis L.Shi Aravind Athiviraham Tong-Chuan He Michael J.Lee 2016Genes & Diseases2016,3,1:70
2Synthesis and properties of phosphorus-containing bio-based epoxy resin from itaconic acid显示文摘A phosphorus-containing bio-based epoxy resin(EADI)was synthesized from itaconic acid(IA)and 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene 10-oxide(DOPO).As a matrix,its cured epoxy network with methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride(MHHPA)as the curing agent showed comparable glass-transition temperature and mechanical properties to diglycidyl ether in a bisphenol A(DGEBA)system as well as good flame retardancy with UL94 V-0 grade during a vertical burning test.As a reactive flame retardant,its flame-resistant effect on DGEBA/MHHPA system as well as its influence on the curing behavior and the thermal and mechanical properties of the modified epoxy resin were investigated.Results showed that after the introduction of EADI,not only were the flame retardancy determined by vertical burning test,LOI measurement,and thermogravimetric analysis significantly improved,but also the curing reactivity,glass transition temperature(T g),initial degradation temperature for 5%weight loss(T d(5%)),and flexural modulus of the cured system improved as well.EADI has great potential to be used as a green flame retardant in epoxy resin systems.MA SongQi LIU XiaoQing JIANG YanHua FAN LiBo FENG JianXiang ZHU Jin 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:33
3Design scheme for fast charging station for electric vehicles with distributed photovoltaic power generation显示文摘The demand for fast charging is increasing owing to the rapid expansion of the market for electric vehicles. In addition, the power generation technology for distributed photovoltaic has matured. This paper presents a design scheme for a fast charging station for electric vehicles equipped with distributed photovoltaic power generation system taking the area with certain conditions in Beijing as an example construction site. The technical indexes and equipment lectotype covering the general framework and subsystems of the charging station are determined by analyzing the charging service demand of fast charging stations. In this study, the layout of the station is developed and the operation benefits of the station is analyzed. 4Responses of vegetation cover to the Grain for Green Program and their driving forces in the He-Long region of the middle reaches of the Yellow River显示文摘The implementation of the Grain for Green Program is a great breakthrough in the history of China's ecological environment construction,which can control soil erosion effectively,increase land productivity and improve the ecological environment.To investigate the eco-environmental benefits brought by the Grain for Green Program,the spatiotemporal variations of vegetation cover in the growing season from 2000 to 2010 across the Hekou-Longmen(He-Long) region were analyzed by using remote sensing information,meteorological data and land use data.Moreover,the impacts of climate and human activities on vegetation change were evaluated objectively.Annual vegetation cover in the growing season increased very significantly.Increased vegetation cover occurred in 98.7% of the region,of which the area for vegetation cover improved slightly constituted 79.8% of the whole area.Vegetation moderately improved was mainly distributed in the south of the He-Long region,covering 9.6% of the area,and the area for vegetation basically unchanged concentrated in the middle and upper reaches of the Wuding River.Precipitation was found to be an important natural factor influencing vegetation cover change.The area of vegetation cover showing a significantly positive correlation with precipitation occupied 22.14% of the region.As driven by policies from the Grain for Green Program,forestland increased significantly and land use structure became more intensive.Human activities played a positive and effective role in the protection,restoration and improvement of vegetation in the places where vegetation cover was basically unchanged,even though precipitation declined greatly,and vegetation improved moderately with massive increases of forestland and grassland.JianXiang LIU ZhiGuang LI XiaoPing ZHANG Rui LI XianChun LIU HanYang ZHANG 2013Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4:7

6Salmonella flagella confer anti-tumor immunological effect via activating Flagellin/TLR5 signalling within tumor microenvironment显示文摘Salmonella:mediated cancer therapy has achieved remarkable anti-tumor effects in experimental animal models,but the detailed mechanism remains unsolved.In this report,the active involvement of the host immune response in this process was confirmed by comparing the tumor-suppressive effects of Salmonella in immunocompetent and immunodeficient mice bearing melanoma allografts.Since flagella are key inducers of the host immune response during bacterial infection,flagella were genetically disrupted to analyse their involvement in Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy.The results showed that flagellum-deficient strains failed to induce significant anti-tumor effects,even when more bacteria were administered to offset the difference in invasion efficiency.Flagella mainly activate immune cells via Flagellin/Toll-like receptor 5(TLR5)signalling pathway.Indeed,we showed that exogenous activation of TLR5 signalling by recombinant Flagellin and exogenous expression of TLR5 both enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of flagellum-deficient Salmonella against melanoma.Our study highlighted the therapeutic value of the interaction between Salmonella and the host immune response through Flagellin/TLR5 signalling pathway during Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy,thereby suggesting the potential application of TLR5 agonists in the cancer immune therapy.Jianxiang Chen Yiting Qiao Guo Chen Cunjie Chang Heng Dong Bo Tang Xiawei Cheng Xiufeng Liu Zichun Hua 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10:6
7Sodium and Potassium Absorption and Distribution in Relation to Growth and Internal Potassium Use Efficiency of K-efficient and -inefficient rice genotypes显示文摘A pot experiment with two rice (Oriza sativa L.) genotypes differing in internal potassium use efficiency (IKUE) was conducted under different sodium (Na) and potassium (K) levels. Adding NaCl at a proper level enhanced rice vegetative growth and increased grain yield and IKUE under low potassium. Addition of higher rate of NaCl had a negative effect on the growth of the K-efficient rice genotype, but did not for the K-inefficient genotype. Under low-K stress, higher NaCl decreased IKUE of the K-efficient rice genotype but increased IKUE for the K-inefficient genotype. At tillering stage and under low-K stress, adding NaCl increased K and Na contents and decreased the ratio of K/Na for both genotypes. At harvesting stage under low-K stress, adding NaCl increased K and Na contents and K/Na ratio for the K-efficient genotype but decreased the K/Na ratio for the K-inefficient genotype. The accumulated Na was mostly deposited in the roots and sheaths. At tillering stage, the K and Na contents and the K/Na ratios in different parts for both genotypes decreased in the following sequence: K+ in sheaths > K+ in blades > K+ in roots; Na+ in roots > Na+ in sheaths > Na+ in blades; and K/Na in sheaths 》 K/Na in roots. The K-efficient genotype had a lower K/Na ratio in roots and sheaths than the K-inefficient genotype under low-K stress. At harvesting stage, K and Na contents in grains were not affected, whereas K/Na ratio in the rice straws was increased for the K-efficient genotype but decreased for the K-inefficient genotype by Na addition. 8Monoclonal antibody-based serological methods for detecting Citrus tristeza virus in citrus groves显示文摘Citrus tristeza virus(CTV) is one of the most economically important citrus viruses and harms the citrus industry worldwide.To develop reliable and effective serological detection assays of CTV,the major capsid protein(CP) gene of CTV was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) using the expression vector p ET-28 a and purified through Ni^+-NTA affinity chromatography.The recombinant protein was used to immunize BALB/c mice.Four hybridoma cell lines(14B10,14H11,20D5,and20G12) secreting monoclonal antibodies(MAbs) against CTV were obtained through conventional hybridoma technology.The titers of MAb-containing ascitic fluids secreted by the four hybridoma lines ranged from 10-6 to 10-7 in indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Western blots showed that all four MAbs could specifically react with CTV CP.Using the prepared MAbs,dot-ELISA,Tissue print-ELISA,and triple antibody sandwich(TAS)-ELISA were developed to detect CTV in tree nurseries and epidemiological studies.The developed dot-ELISA and TAS-ELISA methods could detect CTV in crude extracts of infected citrus leaves with dilutions of 1:2560 and1:10,240(w/v,g/m L),respectively.Tissue print-ELISA was particularly useful for large-scale field sample detection,mainly owing to its simplicity and lack of sample preparation requirements.The field survey revealed that CTV is prevalent on citrus trees in the Chongqing Municipality,Jiangxi Province,and Zhejiang Province of China.The coincidence rate of serological and RT-PCR test results reached more than 99.5%.The prepared MAbs against CTV and established sensitive and specific serological assays have a significant role in the detection and prevention and control of CTV in our country.Zhen Liu Zhe Chen Jian Hong Xuefeng Wang Changyong Zhou Xueping Zhou Jianxiang Wu 2016Virologica Sinica2016,31,4:5

14Removal of Basic Nitrogen Compounds from Diesel Fraction with NMP-0.5ZnCl_(2) Coordinated Ionic Liquid显示文摘An inexpensive coordinated ionic liquid NMP-0.5ZnCl_(2) was synthesized by reacting N-methyl-pyrrolidone with anhydrous ZnCl_(2),and its structure was characterized with FT-IR spectroscopy.The performance of IL for removing basic nitrogen compounds from model oil containing quinoline and actual coker diesel was studied.Experimental results showed that the IL,NMP-0.5ZnCl_(2),exhibited a good denitrogenation performance,which can be attributed to its low viscosity and unoccupied orbitals of Zn ion,while obtaining a 99.68%quinoline removal efficiency under conditions covering a temperature of 50℃,an IL/model oil mass ratio of 1:2,and a reaction time of 30 min.In the case of coker diesel,above a 91%basic N-removal efficiency(with N-content reduced from 536μg/g to 47μg/g)was realized by the IL after 5-stage extraction.Moreover,the quinoline extraction efficiency could still reach 96.73%during four recycles of the IL.Li Wenshen Ren Yongqi Li Jianxiang Zhao Zhijun Liu Jie 2021China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2021,23,1:3
15Designing specific bacterial 16S primers to sequence and quantitate plant endo-bacteriome显示文摘Plant endophytic bacteria colonize the internal tissues of plants and interact with plants closely.The past two decades have witnessed the increasing application of next-generation 16S r RNA gene sequencing in the investigation of bacterial communities.However,deciphering plant endo-bacterial communities by this method is difficult because of the co-amplification of massive plant organellar DNAs with bacterial 16S.Here,we designed polymerase chain reaction(PCR) primer sets,including799F/1107R,322F/796R,and 322F-Dr/796Rs(primer pair 322F/796R with a penultimate-base substitution in 322F),that can specifically amplify bacterial 16S from plant total DNAs.We computationally and experimentally evaluated the specificity,coverage,and accuracy of the newly designed primer sets.Both 799F/1107R and 322F-Dr/796Rs produced plant DNA-free 16S amplicon libraries or reduced plant DNA contamination to lower than 5% for the plant materials with extremely-low-abundance bacterial communities.The primer set 322F-A/796R was used through absolute quantitative PCR to quantitate the population size of rice leaf or root endo-bacteriome,which revealed 10^(6)–10^(7) and 10^(9)–10^(10) bacteria per gram fresh weight,respectively.These 16S primer sets and amplification methods enable the simple and inexpensive next-generation sequencing and quantification of plant endo-bacteriome,which will significantly advance studies on the plant-related microbiome.Liying Chen Mengting Zhang Da Liu Hongbo Sun Jianxiang Wu Yan Huo Xiaoying Chen Rongxiang Fang Lili Zhang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5:2

17Limited-Budget Consensus Design and Analysis for Multiagent Systems With Switching Topologies and Intermittent Communications显示文摘This paper investigates limited-budget consensus design and analysis problems of general high-order multiagent systems with intermittent communications and switching topologies.The main contribution of this paper is that the tradeoff design between the energy consumption and the consensus performance can be realized while achieving leaderless or leaderfollowing consensus,under constraints of limited budgets and intermittent communications.Firstly,a new intermittent limitedbudget consensus control protocol with a practical trade-off design index is proposed,where the total budget of the whole multiagent system is limited.Then,leaderless limited-budget consensus design and analysis criteria are derived,in which the matrix variables of linear matrix inequalities are determined according to the total budget and the practical trade-off design parameters.Meanwhile,an explicit formulation of the consensus function is derived to describe the consensus state trajectory of the whole system.Moreover,a new two-stage transformation strategy is utilized for leader-following cases,by which the dynamics decomposition of leaderless and leader-following cases can be converted into a unified framework,and sufficient conditions of the leader-following limited-budget consensus design and analysis are determined via those of the leaderless cases.Finally,numerical simulations are given to illustrate theoretical results.Le Wang Jianxiang Xi Bo Hou Guangbin Liu 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,10:2
18The Corylus mandshurica genome provides insights into the evolution of Betulaceae genomes and hazelnut breeding显示文摘Hazelnut is popular for its flavor,and it has also been suggested that hazelnut is beneficial to cardiovascular health because it is rich in oleic acid.Here,we report the first high-quality chromosome-scale genome for the hazelnut species Corylus mandshurica(2n=22),which has a high concentration of oleic acid in its nuts.The assembled genome is 367.67Mb in length,and the contig N50 is 14.85 Mb.All contigs were assembled into 11 chromosomes,and 28,409 protein-coding genes were annotated.We reconstructed the evolutionary trajectories of the genomes of Betulaceae species and revealed that the 11 chromosomes of the hazelnut genus were derived from the most ancestral karyotype in Betula pendula,which has 14 protochromosomes,by inferring homology among five Betulaceae genomes.We identified 96 candidate genes involved in oleic acid biosynthesis,and 10 showed rapid evolution or positive selection.These findings will help us to understand the mechanisms of lipid synthesis and storage in hazelnuts.Several gene families related to salicylic acid metabolism and stress responses experienced rapid expansion in this hazelnut species,which may have increased its stress tolerance.The reference genome presented here constitutes a valuable resource for molecular breeding and genetic improvement of the important agronomic properties of hazelnut.Ying Li Pengchuan Sun Zhiqiang Lu Jinyuan Chen Zhenyue Wang Xin Du Zeyu Zheng Ying Wu Hongyin Hu Jiao Yang Jianxiang Ma Jianquan Liu Yongzhi Yang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
