1Wnt/b-catenin signaling plays an ever-expanding role in stem cell self-renewal,tumorigenesis and cancer chemoresistance显示文摘Wnt signaling transduces evolutionarily conserved pathways which play important roles in initiating and regulating a diverse range of cellular activities,including cell proliferation,calcium homeostasis,and cell polarity.The role of Wnt signaling in controlling cell proliferation and stem cell self-renewal is primarily carried out through the canonical pathway,which is the best-characterized the multiple Wnt signaling branches.The past 10 years has seen a rapid expansion in our understanding of the complexity of this pathway,as many new components of Wnt signaling have been identified and linked to signaling regulation,stem cell functions,and adult tissue homeostasis.Additionally,a substantial body of evidence links Wnt signaling to tumorigenesis of cancer types and implicates it in the development of cancer drug resistance.Thus,a better understanding of the mechanisms by which dysregulation of Wnt signaling precedes the development and progression of human cancer may hasten the development of pathway inhibitors to augment current therapy.This review summarizes and synthesizes our current knowledge of the canonical Wnt pathway in development and disease.We begin with an overview of the components of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and delve into the role this pathway has been shown to play in stemness,tumorigenesis,and cancer drug resistance.Ultimately,we hope to present an organized collection of evidence implicating Wnt signaling in tumorigenesis and chemoresistance to facilitate the pursuit of Wnt pathway modulators that may improve outcomes of cancers in which Wnt signaling contributes to aggressive disease and/or treatment resistance.Maryam K.Mohammed Connie Shao Jing Wang Qiang Wei Xin Wang Zachary Collier Shengli Tang Hao Liu Fugui Zhang Jiayi Huang Dan Guo Minpeng Lu Feng Liu Jianxiang Liu Chao Ma Lewis L.Shi Aravind Athiviraham Tong-Chuan He Michael J.Lee 2016Genes & Diseases2016,3,1:70

4Numerical simulation of sedimentation of rectangular particle in Newtonian fluid显示文摘The sedimentation of a rectangular particle falling in a two-dimensional channel filled with Newtonian fluid was simulated with finite element arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian domain method. The numerical procedure was validated by comparison of the simulation results with existing numerical work. Moreover, good agreement was obtained between the simulation results and experimental measurements performed in the current study. The equilibrium position, stable orientation and drag coefficient of a rect- angular particle for different particle Reynolds numbers (Re p ) were studied. The results show that there is a critical particle Reynolds number for the preferred orientation of a rectangular particle falling in a Newtonian fluid. When Re p is smaller than the critical value, the particle falls with its long side parallel to gravity; otherwise the particle falls with its long side perpendicular to gravity. The critical particle Reynolds number is a decreasing function of the blockage ratio and aspect ratio. The distributions of pressure and shear stress on rectangular particle surface were analyzed. Moreover, the drag coefficient of the rectangular particle decreases as Re p or the blockage ratio increases; however, it appears to be independent of aspect ratio.Hong Lv Shengli Tang Wenping Zhou 2012Particuology2012,10,1:4

11Re-discussion on the Jiaochang Arcuate Structure, Sichuan Province, and the Seismogenic Structure for Diexi Earthquake in 1933显示文摘The Jiaochang arcuate structure is one of the numerous arcuate structural belts in Sichuan. The present paper gives a further argument about the characteristics of that arcuate structure and the new activity of the Songpinggou fault and affirms that the Songpinggou fault is an active fault in the Holocene epoch. The Diexi M 7.5 earthquake took place in 1933 on the west wing of that arcuate structure, near the apex of the arc. Many authors have given quite different opinions about the genetic structure of that earthquake. The authors have made on the spot investigations time and again over recent years. Besides this, the authors have also further studied the shape of intensity contour lines, the distribution characteristics of ground surface seismic hazards, the left lateral dislocation of buildings along the Songpinggou fault, the NW trending ground fissures that developed on the ground surface after earthquake, and so on. 12Rapid and durable oxygen reduction reaction enabled by a perovskite oxide with self-cleaning surface显示文摘The growth of electrochemically inert segregation layers on the surface of solid oxide fuel cell cathodes has become a bottleneck restricting the development of perovskite-structured oxygen reduction catalysts.Here,we report a new discovery in which enriched Ba and Fe ions on the near-surface of Nd_(1/2)Ba_(1/2)Co_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)O_(3-δ)spontaneously agglomerate into dispersed Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8) nanoparticles and maintain a highly active and durable perovskite structure on the surface.This unique surface selfcleaning phenomenon is related to the low average potential energy of Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8),which is grown on the near-surface layer.The electrochemically inert Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8) segregation layer on the near-surface of the perovskite catalyst achieves self-cleaning by regulating the formation energy of enriched metal oxides.This self-cleaned perovskite surface exhibits an ultrafast oxygen exchange rate,high catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction,and good adaptability to the actual working conditions of solid oxide fuel cell stacks.This study paves a new way for overcoming the stubborn problem of perovskite catalyst surface deactivation and enriches the scientific knowledge of surface catalysis.Shengli Pang Yifan Song Meng Cui Xin Tang Chao Long Lingfeng Ke Gongmei Yang Ting Fang Yong Guan Chonglin Chen 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8:0
