| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 2 | Mass transfer characteristics in a rotating packed bed with split packing显示文摘The rotating packed bed(RPB) with split packing is a novel gas–liquid contactor, which intensifies the mass transfer processes controlled by gas-side resistance. To assess its efficacy, the mass transfer characteristics with adjacent rings in counter-rotation and co-rotation modes in a split packing RPB were studied experimentally.The physical absorption system NH3–H2O was used for characterizing the gas volumetric mass transfer coefficient(kyae) and the effective interfacial area(ae) was determined by chemical absorption in the CO2–NaO H system. The variation in kyaeand aewith the operating conditions is also investigated. | 5 | Intestinal dysbiosis exacerbates the pathogenesis of psoriasis-like phenotype through changes in fatty acid metabolism显示文摘The intestinal microbiota has been associated with host immunity as well as psoriasis;however,the mechanism of intestinal microbiota regulating psoriasis needs to be demonstrated systematically.Here,we sought to examine its role and mechanism of action in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.We found that the severity of psoriasis-like skin phenotype was accompanied by changes in the composition of the intestinal microbiota.We performed co-housing and fecal microbial transplantation(FMT)experiments using the K14-VEGF transgenic mouse model of psoriasis and demonstrated that the transfer of intestinal microbiota from mice with severe psoriasis-like skin phenotype exacerbated psoriasiform skin inflammation in mice with mild symptoms,including increasing the infiltration and differentiation of Th17,and increased the abundance of Prevotella,while decreasing that of Parabacteroides distasonis,in the colon.These alterations affected fatty acid metabolism,increasing the abundance of oleic and stearic acids.Meanwhile,gentamicin treatment significantly reduced the abundance of Prevotella and alleviated the psoriasis-like symptoms in both K14-VEGF mice and imiquimod(IMQ)-induced psoriasis-like mice.Indeed,administration of oleic and stearic acids exacerbated psoriasis-like symptoms and increased Th17 and monocyte-derived dendritic cell infiltration in the skin lesion areas in vivo,as well as increased the secretion of IL-23 by stimulating DCs in vitro.At last,we found that,treatment of PDE-4 inhibitor alleviated psoriasis-like phenotype of K14-VEGF mice accompanied by the recovery of intestinal microbiota,including the decrease of Prevotella and increase of Parabacteroides distasonis.Overall,our findings reveal that the intestinal microbiota modulates host metabolism and psoriasis-like skin inflammation in mice,suggesting a new target for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis. | Qixiang Zhao Jiadong Yu Hong Zhou Xiaoyan Wang Chen Zhang Jing Hu Yawen Hu Huaping Zheng Fanlian Zeng Chengcheng Yue Linna Gu Zhen Wang Fulei Zhao Pei Zhou Haozhou Zhang Nongyu Huang Wenling Wu Yifan Zhou Jiong Li | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2: | 2 |

| 15 | Association of low cadmium and mercury exposure with chronic kidney disease among Chinese adults aged≥80 years:A cross-sectional study显示文摘Background:The heavy metals cadmium(Cd)and mercury(Hg)are known to be widespread environmental contaminants and high occupational exposure adversely affects the risk of chronic kidney disease(CKD).However,evidence from epidemiological studies linking low Cd and Hg exposure(or non-industrial)to the risk of progression to CKD are conflicting.This study aimed to explore the association of low Cd and Hg exposure with the risk of CKD in Chinese adults aged≥80 years.Methods:The participants were recruited for the Healthy Aging and Biomarkers Cohort Study in 2017,an ongoing perspective survey conducted in longevity areas in China initially involving 3016 older adults.We used logistic regression models to estimate odds ratios(ORs)with 95%confidence intervals of CKD setting Cd and Hg as categorical variables.Logistic regression with restricted cubic spline was used to characterize a dose-response relationships between Cd or Hg concentrations and the risk of CKD in the study population.Results:The ORs for the risk of CKD comparing the fourth to the first quartile of blood Cd,blood Hg,urine Cd,and urine Hg were 1.77,1.57,2.03,and 1.50,respectively.Restricted cubic spline models showed that blood Cd and urine Hg were significantly linearly correlated with the risk of CKD,while blood Hg and urine Cd were non-linearly correlated with the risk of CKD with a steeper slope at concentrations<2.30μg/L and 3.30μg/g creatinine.Conclusions:Our findings suggest that even low Cd and Hg exposure(or non-industrial)were associated with increased risk of CKD in Chinese oldest old,although we did not find a significant multiplicative and additive interaction between Cd and Hg levels in relation to the risk of CKD. | Yuan Wei Yuebin Lyu Zhaojin Cao Feng Zhao Yingchun Liu Chen Chen Chengcheng Li Heng Gu Feng Lu Jinhui Zhou Bing Wu Yang Liu Juan Li Xiaoming Shi | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,24: | 1 |

| 17 | Spatiotemporal Dynamics of the Molecular Expression Pattern显示文摘Nerve regeneration in adult mammalian spinal cord is poor because of the lack of intrinsic regeneration of neurons and extrinsic factors–the glial scar is triggered by injury and inhibits or promotes regeneration.Recent technological advances in spatial transcriptomics(ST)provide a unique opportunity to decipher most genes systematically throughout scar formation,which remains poorly understood.Here,we frst constructed the tissue-wide gene expression patterns of mouse spinal cords over the course of scar formation using ST after spinal cord injury from 32 samples.Locally,we profled gene expression gradients from the leading edge to the core of the scar areas to further understand the scar microenvironment,such as neurotransmitter disorders,activation of the pro-infammatory response,neurotoxic saturated lipids,angiogenesis,obstructed axon extension,and extracellular structure re-organization.In addition,we described 21 cell transcriptional states during scar formation and delineated the origins,functional diversity,and possible trajectories of subpopulations of fbroblasts,glia,and immune cells.Specifcally,we found some regulators in special cell types,such as Thbs1 and Col1a2 in macrophages,CD36 and Postn in fbroblasts,Plxnb2 and Nxpe3 in microglia,Clu in astrocytes,and CD74 in oligodendrocytes.Furthermore,salvianolic acid B,a blood–brain barrier permeation and CD36 inhibitor,was administered after surgery and found to remedy fbrosis.Subsequently,we described the extent of the scar boundary and profled the bidirectional ligand-receptor interactions at the neighboring cluster boundary,contributing to maintain scar architecture during gliosis and fbrosis,and found that GPR37L1_PSAP,and GPR37_PSAP were the most signifcant gene-pairs among microglia,fbroblasts,and astrocytes.Last,we quantifed the fraction of scar-resident cells and proposed four possible phases of scar formation:macrophage infltration,proliferation and diferentiation of scar-resident cells,scar emergence,and scar stationary.Together,these profles delineated the spatial heterogeneity of the scar,confrmed the previous concepts about scar architecture,provided some new clues for scar formation,and served as a valuable resource for the treatment of central nervous system injury. | Leilei Gong Yun Gu Xiaoxiao Han Chengcheng Luan Chang Liu Xinghui Wang Yufeng Sun Mengru Zheng Mengya Fang Shuhai Yang Lai Xu Hualin Sun Bin Yu Xiaosong Gu Songlin Zhou | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,2: | 0 |
