| 2 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 3 | Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. | 5 | Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction for treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy:a meta-analysis of 16 randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE:This meta-analysis was performed to systematically assess the efficacy and safety of the Chinese herbal medicine Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction(HGWWD) for treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy.DATA SOURCES:Six electronic databases,including the Cochrane Library,MEDLINE database,Chinese Biomedical Database,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Chinese Science and Technique Journals Database,and the Wanfang Database,were search ed on the internet for randomized controlled trials published up until 1 December 2015.The search terms included 'Chinese herbal medicine','diabetic peripheral neuropathy' and 'randomized controlled trials' in Chinese and in English.DATA SELECTION:We included randomized controlled trials using HGWWD/modified HGWWD for the treatment group,without restriction for the control group.We assessed literature quality in accordance with the Cochrane Review Handbook.A random or a fixed effects model was used to analyze outcomes using Rev Man 5.2 software.OUTCOME MEASURES:The primary outcomes were changes in symptoms and nerve conduction velocities.The secondary outcomeswere fasting blood glucose and hemorheological indexes.RESULTS:Sixteen randomized controlled trials,with a total of 1,173 patients,were included.Meta-analysis revealed that the efficacy of HGWWD for diabetic peripheral neuropathy was significantly superior compared with the control treatment(i.e.,control group)(risk ratio = 0.36,95% confidence interval(CI):0.29–0.46,Z =8.33,P < 0.00001) Compared with the control group,there was an increase in median motor nerve conduction velocity(mean difference(MD) = 3.46,95%CI:1.88–5.04,Z = 4.30,P < 0.01) and median sensory nerve conduction velocity(MD = 3.30,95%CI:2.04–4.56,Z = 5.14,P < 0.01).There was also an increase in peroneal motor nerve conduction velocity(MD = 3.22,95%CI:2.45–3.98,Z = 8.21,P < 0.01) and peroneal sensory nerve conduction velocity(MD = 3.05,95%CI:2.01–4.09,Z = 5.75,P < 0.01) in the treatment groups.No significant difference in fasting blood glucose was found between the treatment groups and the control groups(MD =-0.12,95%CI:-0.42–0.19,Z = 0.76,P = 0.45).Plasma viscosity was significantly decreased after treatment(MD =-0.11,95%CI:-0.21 to-0.02,Z = 2.30,P = 0.02).No significant difference in fibrinogen was detectable(MD =-0.53,95%CI:-1.28–0.22,Z = 1.38,P = 0.17).Four trials reported that treatment groups experienced no adverse reactions.Adverse events were not mentioned in the other 12 trials.No trial reported the incidence of complications,quality of life outcomes,or health economics.CONCLUSION:HGWWD treatment improves diabetic neurologic symptoms and ameliorates nerve conduction velocities.Our study suggests that HGWWD may have significant therapeutic efficacy for the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.However,the methodological quality of the randomized controlled trials was generally low.Larger and better-designed randomized controlled trials are required to more reliably assess the clinical effectiveness of HGWWD. | Bing Pang Tian-yu Zhao Lin-hua Zhao Fang Wan Ru Ye Qiang Zhou Feng Tian Xiao-lin Tong | 2016 | Neural Regeneration Research2016，11，8： | 32 |

| 9 | Three-dimensional finite element analysis of weakened roots restored with different cements in combination with titanium alloy posts显示文摘Background It is very difficult and relatively unpredictable to preserve and restore severely weakened pulpless roots. To provide much needed benefit basis for clinical practice, this study was carried out to analyze the stress distribution in weakened roots restored with different cements in combination with titanium alloy posts. Finite element analysis (FEA) was employed in the study. Methods A pseudo three-dimensional model of a maxillary central incisor with flared root canal, theoretically restored with titanium alloy posts in combination with different cements, was established. The analysis was performed by use of ANSYS software. The tooth was assumed to be isotropic, homogenous and elastic. A load of 100 N at an angle of 45°to the longitudinal axis was applied at the palatal surface of the crown. The distributions of stresses in weakened roots filled with cements of different elastic modulus were analyzed by the three-dimensional FEA model. Results Several stress trends were observed when the stress cloud atlas obtained in the study was analyzed. With the increase of the elastic modulus of cements from 1.8 GPa to 22.4 GPa, the stress values in dentin decreased from 39.58 MPa to 31.43 MPa and from 24.51 MPa to 20.76 MPa (respectively, for maximum principle stress values and Von Mises stress values). When Panavia F and zinc phosphate cement were used, the stress peak values in dentin were very small with no significant difference observed, and the Von Mises stress values were 20.87 MPa and 20.76 MPa respectively. On the other hand, maximum principle stress value and Von Mises stress value in cement layer increased with the increase of the elastic modulus of cements. Conclusions The result of this study demonstrated that elastic modulus was indeed one of the important parameters to evaluate property of the cements. Our three-dimensional FEA model study also found that the cement with elastic modulus similar to that of dentin could reinforce weakened root and reduce the stress in dentin. | 13 | Multicenter case-control study of the risk factors for ulcerative colitis in China显示文摘AIM:To evaluate potential risk factors in the development of ulcerative colitis(UC) in China.METHODS:A total of 1308 patients with UC and 1308 age-matched and sex-matched controls were prospectively studied in China.The UC cases were collected from 17 hospitals in China from April 2007 to April 2010.Uniform questionnaires were designed to investigate risk factors including smoking,appendectomy,stress,socio-economic conditions,nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),oral contraceptives,diet,breastfeeding,infections and family sanitary conditions.Group comparisons by each factor were done using simple logistic regression analysis.Conditional logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.RESULTS:By univariate analysis,the variables predictive of UC included feeling stress,light and heavy alcoholic drinking,spicy food,sugar consumption and infectious diarrhea,while heavy tea intake and tap water consumption were protective against UC.On multivariate analysis,the protective factor for UC was tap water consumption [odds ratios(OR) = 0.424,95%CI:0.302-0.594,P < 0.001];while the potential risk factors for UC were heavy sugar consumption(OR = 1.632,95%CI:1.156-2.305,P < 0.001),spicy food(light intake:OR = 3.329,95%CI:2.282-4.857,P < 0.001;heavy intake:OR = 3.979,95%CI:2.700-5.863,P < 0.001),and often feeling stress(OR = 1.981,95%CI:1.447-2.711,P < 0.001).Other factors,such as smoking habit,appendectomy,breastfeeding,a history of measles,rural or urban residence,education,oral contraceptives,and NSAID use have not been found to have a significant association with the development of UC in the present study.CONCLUSION:Our study showed tap water consumption was a protective factor for UC,while spicy food,heavy sugar consumption and often feeling stress were risk factors for UC in this Chinese population. | Yu-Fang Wang Qin Ou-yang Bing Xia Li-Na Liu Fang Gu Kai-Fang Zhou Qiao Mei Rui-Hua Shi Zhi-Hua Ran Xiao-Di Wang Pin-Jin Hu Kai-Chun Wu Xin-Guang Liu Ying-Lei Miao Ying Han Xiao-Ping Wu Guo-Bing He Jie Zhong Guan-Jian Liu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013，19，11： | 24 |

| 15 | Danshenchuanxiongqin injection in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate systematically the efficacy and safety of Danshenchuanxiongqin Injection(DCI)in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris(UAP).METHODS:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)regarding DCI used for treating UAP were searched in English and Chinese electronic databases from inception to January 2014.Two reviewers independently retrieved RCTs and extracted relevant information.The Cochrane risk of bias method was used to assess the quality of included studies,and a Meta-analysis was conducted with Review Manager5.2 software.RESULTS:Eleven RCTs involving 1034 participants were included.The methodological quality was relatively passable.The Meta-analysis indicated that the combined use of DCI and conventional treatment with Western Medicine(WM)was more efficacious in the outcomes of total effective rate[Relative Risk(RR)=1.27,95%CI(confidence interval;1.18,1.35),P<0.000 01],the total effective rate of ECG[RR=1.40,95%CI(1.18,1.66),P<0.000 01],total cholesterol[Mean difference(MD)=-0.58,95%CI(-0.83,-0.33),P<0.000 01],total triglycerides[MD=-0.36,95%CI(-0.54,-0.17),P=0.0001],and the number of ST-segment depression[MD=-0.36,95%CI(-0.54,-0.17),P=0.0001].There were two adverse drug reactions reported in one study.CONCLUSION:Based on the systematic review,DCI combined with WM appeared to be efficacious in the treatment UAP.However,the evidence of DCI for treating UAP requires large-scale and double-blind RCTs to substantiate these findings. | Zhang Xiaomeng Wu Jiarui Zhang Bing Zhou Wei | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016，36，2： | 24 |

| 18 | Deep crustal structures of eastern China and adjacent seas revealed by magnetic data显示文摘Through reduction to the North Pole and upward continuation of the total field magnetic anomalies, we analyze magnetic patterns and spatial distributions of different tectonic blocks and crustal faults in eastern China and adjacent seas. Depths to the Curie isotherms are further estimated from radially averaged amplitude spectra of magnetic data reduced to the pole. Data reductions effectively enhance boundaries of regional tectonic belts, such as the Dabie ultra-high metamorphic belt, the Tanlu Fault, and the Diaoyudao Uplift. Curie depths are estimated at between 19.6 and 48.9 km, with a mean of 31.7 km. The Subei Basin and the south Yellow Sea Basin in the lower Yangtze block show relatively deep Curie isotherms, up to about 35 km in depth, whereas in the surrounding areas Curie depths are averaged at about 25 km. This implies that the lower Yangtze Block has experienced a unique tectonic evolution and/or has unique basement lithology and structures. From a regional perspective, sedimentary basins, such as the Subei Basin, the south Yellow Sea Basin, and the East China Sea Basin, normally show deeper Curie isotherms than surrounding uplifts such as the Diaoyudao Uplift and the Zhemin Uplifts. | 19 | In vitro differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells and bone marrow-derived stromal stem cells into neuronal-like cells显示文摘Adipose-derived stem cells and bone marrow-derived stromal stem cells were co-cultured with untreated or Aβ1-40-treated PC12 cells, or grown in supernatant derived from untreated or Aβ1-40-treated PC12 cells. Analysis by western blot and quantitative real-time PCR showed that protein levels of Nanog, Oct4, and Sox2, and mRNA levels of miR/125a/3p were decreased, while expression of insulin-like growth factor-2 and neuron specific enolase was increased. In comparison, the generation of neuron specific enolase-positive cells was most successful when adipose-derived stem cells were co-cultured with Aβ1-40-treated PC12 cells. Our results demonstrate that adipose-derived stem cells and bone marrow-derived stromal stem cells exhibit trends of neuronal-like cell differentiation after co-culture with Aβ1-40-treated PC12 cells.
