| 1 | Heterologous expression of the Haynaldia villosa pattern-recognition receptor CERK1-V in wheat increases resistance to three fungal diseases显示文摘Wheat production is under continuous threat by various fungal pathogens.Identification of multipledisease resistance genes may lead to effective disease control via the development of cultivars with broad-spectrum resistance.Plant Lysin-motif(LysM)-type pattern-recognition receptors,which elicit innate immunity by recognizing fungal pathogen associated molecular patterns such as chitin,are potential candidates for such resistance.In this study,we cloned a LysM receptor-like kinase gene,CERK1-V,from the diploid wheat relative Haynaldia villosa.CERK1-V expression was induced by chitin and Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici,the causal agent of wheat powdery mildew.Heterologous overexpression of CERK1-V in wheat inhibited the development of three fungal pathogens,thereby increased resistance to powdery mildew,yellow rust,and Fusarium head blight.CERK1-V physically interacted with the wheat Lys M protein Ta CEBi Ps.CERK1-V/Ta CEBi Ps interaction promoted chitin recognition and activated chitin signal transduction in wheat.Transgenic plants with excessively high CERK1-V expression showed high resistance but abnormal plant growth,whereas plants with moderate expression level showed adequate resistance level with no marked impairment of plant growth.In transgenic lines,RNA-seq showed that gene expression involved in plant innate immunity was activated.Expression of genes involved in photosynthesis,ER stress and multiple phytohormone pathways was also activated.Optimized expression of CERK1-V in wheat can confer disease resistance without compromising growth or defense fitness. | Anqi Fan Luyang Wei Xu Zhang Jia Liua Li Sun Jin Xiao Yajia Wang Haiyan Wang Jian Hua Ravi P.Singh Zongkuan Wang Xiue Wang | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,6: | 2 |
| 2 | Circadian rhythms driving a fast-paced root clock implicate species-specific regulation in Medicago truncatula显示文摘Plants have a hierarchical circadian structure comprising multiple tissue-specific oscillators that operate at different speeds and regulate the expression of distinct sets of genes in different organs.However,the identity of the genes differentially regulated by the circadian clock in different organs,such as roots,and how their oscillations create functional specialization remain unclear.Here,we profiled the diurnal and circadian landscapes of the shoots and roots of Medicago truncatula and identified the conserved regulatory sequences contributing to transcriptome oscillations in each organ.We found that the light-dark cycles strongly affect the global transcriptome oscillation in roots,and many clock genes oscillate only in shoots.Moreover,many key genes involved in nitrogen fixation are regulated by circadian rhythms.Surprisingly,the root clock runs faster than the shoot clock,which is contrary to the hierarchical circadian structure showing a slow-paced root clock in both detached and intact Arabidopsis thaliana(L.)Heynh.roots.Our result provides important clues about the species-specific circadian regulatory mechanism,which is often overlooked,and possibly coordinates the timing between shoots and roots independent of the current prevailing model. | Liping Wang Anqi Zhou Jing Li Mingkang Yang Fan Bu Liangfa Ge Liang Chen Wei Huang | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,8: | 2 |
| 3 | Natural killer cell-derived extracellular vesicle significantly enhanced adoptive T cell therapy against solid tumors via versatilely immunomodulatory coordination显示文摘Insufficient tumor tropism,MHC classⅠmolecules(MHC-I)defects of tumor cells,and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(TME)seriously imperil the efficacy of adoptive T cell therapy on solid tumors.Here,natural killer cell-derived extracellular vesicle(Nev)is used as a versatile toolkit to synergistically improve adoptive T cell therapy for solid tumors.Specifically,Nev is modified with dibenzocyclooctynes(DBCO)linked with p H-sensitive benzoic-imine bonds;meanwhile,cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)is decorated with azide groups.Then CTL is armed with Nev(CTL-Nev)through the click chemistry reaction.After systematic administration,Nev obviously promotes the tumor-targeting accumulation of CTL coming from its native tumor-tropism capability.Then,the cleavage of benzoic-imine bonds in the slightly acidic TME leads to the release of Nev,which not only directly induces tumor apoptosis but also promotes the action of CTL via multiplex pathways,such as up-regulating the MHC-I expression on tumor cells,reprogramming tumor-associated macrophages from pro-tumoral M2 phenotypes to tumoricidal M1 phenotypes.The all-around coordination of Nev with CTL results in potent tumor repression. | Weidong Nie Wenlin Fan Anqi Jiang Guanghao Wu Houli Liu Li-Li Huang Hai-Yan Xie | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,11: | 1 |

The most remarkable plastic strain was observed in the weld metal(WM), which was up to 6 times of the global strain at mid-life cycle. Due to the cyclic accumulation of local deformation, the stress–strain hysteresis loops relative to tensile or compressive strain concentration area in WM displayed the ratchetting shape. The local deformation accumulation of WM was attributed to the effect of the equiaxed grain zone near the WM center. | 10 | Highly efficient ozone elimination by metal doped ultra-fine Cu_(2)O nanoparticles显示文摘Nowadays,ozone contamination becomes dominant in air and thus challenges the research and development of cost-effective catalyst.In this study,metal doped Cu_(2)O catalysts are synthesized via reduction of Cu^(2+)by ascorbic acid in base solutions containing doping metal ions.The results show that compared with pure Cu_(2)O,the Mg^(2+)and Fe^(2+)dopants enhance the O_(3)removal efficiency while Ni2+depresses the activity.In specific,Mg-Cu_(2)O shows high O3removal efficiency of 88.4%in harsh environment of 600,000 mL/(g·hr) space velocity and 1500 ppmV O_(3),which is one of the highest in the literature.Photoluminescence and electron paramagnetic spectroscopy characterization shows higher concentration of crystal defects induced by the Mg^(2+)dopants,favoring the O3degradation.The in-situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy shows the intermediate species in the O_(3)degradation process change from O_(2)^(2-)dominant of pure Cu_(2)O to O_(2)^(-)dominant of Mg-Cu2O,which would contribute to the high activity.All these results show the promising prospect of the Mg-Cu_(2)O for highly efficiency O_(3)removal. | Anqi Wang Le Zhang Jian Guan Xiaoze Wang Guojun Ma Guijun Fan Hang Wang Ning Han Yunfa Chen | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,12: | 0 |
| 11 | Characteristics and influencing factors of frontal upwelling in the Yellow Sea in summer显示文摘Frontal upwelling is an important phenomenon in summer in the Yellow Sea(YS)and plays an essential role in the distribution of nutrients and biological species.In this paper,a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model is applied to investigate the characteristics and influencing factors of frontal upwelling in the YS.The results show that the strength and distribution of frontal upwelling are largely dependent on the topography and bottom temperature fronts.The frontal upwelling in the YS is stronger and narrower near the eastern coast than near the western coast due to the steeper shelf slope.Moreover,external forcings,such as the meridional wind speed and air temperature in summer and the air temperature in the preceding winter and spring,have certain influences on the strength of frontal upwelling.An increase in air temperature in the previous winter and spring weakens the frontal upwelling in summer;in contrast,an increase in air temperature in summer strengthens the frontal upwelling.When the southerly wind in summer increases,the upwelling intensifies in the western YS and weakens in the eastern YS.The air temperature influences the strength of upwelling by changing the baroclinicity in the frontal region.Furthermore,the meridional wind speed in summer affects frontal upwelling via Ekman pumping. | Fan Sun Fei Yu Guangcheng Si Jianfeng Wang Anqi Xu Jun Pan Ying Tang | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,7: | 0 |
