Effects of T-S wave amplitude on the control of boundary layer transition by streaks显示文摘The effects of streaks on boundary layer transition depend on the initial amplitude of T-S waves introduced to excite the transition. This problem was studied in a flat-plate boundary layer in water tunnel by using hydrogen bubble method. Three T-S wave initial amplitudes were tested. The results show that both narrow and wide-spacing streaks depress the transition excited by T-S waves with lower initial amplitude. However, when transition is excited by T-S waves of higher initial amplitude, the narrow-spacing streaks depress the transition, while the wide-spacing streaks promote the transition. Further the underlying mechanisms were also analyzed. | Hui Guo Yulong Feng Haiwen Wang Ziteng Liu | 2013 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2013,3,4: | 2
The antigenicity of SARS-CoV-2 Delta variants aggregated 10 high-frequency mutations in RBD has not changed sufficiently to replace the current vaccine strain显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants are the most serious problem for COVID-19 prophylaxis and treatment. To determine whether the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine strain should be updated following variant emergence like seasonal flu vaccine, the changed degree on antigenicity of SARS-CoV-2 variants and H3N2 flu vaccine strains was compared. The neutralization activities of Alpha,Beta and Gamma variants’spike protein-immunized sera were analysed against the eight current epidemic variants and 20 possible variants combining the top 10 prevalent RBD mutations based on the Delta variant, which were constructed using pseudotyped viruses.Meanwhile, the neutralization activities of convalescent sera and current inactivated and recombinant protein vaccine-elicited sera were also examined against all possible Delta variants.Eight HA protein-expressing DNAs elicited-animal sera were also tested against eight pseudotyped viruses of H3N2 flu vaccine strains from 2011–2019.Our results indicate that the antigenicity changes of possible Delta variants were mostly within four folds, whereas the antigenicity changes among different H3N2 vaccine strains were approximately 10–100-fold.Structural analysis of the antigenic characterization of the SARS-CoV-2 and H3N2 mutations supports the neutralization results. This study indicates that the antigenicity changes of the current SARS-CoV-2 may not be sufficient to require replacement of the current vaccine strain. | Jiajing Wu Jianhui Nie Li Zhang Hao Song Yimeng An Ziteng Liang Jing Yang Ruxia Ding Shuo Liu Qianqian Li Tao Li Zhimin Cui Mengyi Zhang Peng He Youchun Wang Xiaowang Qu Zhongyu Hu Qihui Wang Weijin Huang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,2: | 1
Exploration of high-speed 3.0 THz imaging with a 65 nm CMOS process显示文摘This paper describes a promising route for the exploration and development of 3.0 THz sensing and imaging with FET-based power detectors in a standard 65 nm CMOS process.Based on the plasma-wave theory proposed by Dyakonov and Shur,we designed high-responsivity and low-noise multiple detectors for monitoring a pulse-mode 3.0 THz quantum cascade laser(QCL).Furthermore,we present a fully integrated high-speed 32×32-pixel 3.0 THz CMOS image sensor(CIS).The full CIS measures 2.81×5.39 mm^(2) and achieves a 423 V/W responsivity(Rv)and a 5.3 nW integral noise equivalent power(NEP)at room temperature. In experiments,we demonstrate a testing speed reaching 319 fps under continuous-wave(CW)illumina-tion of a 3.0 THz QCL.The results indicate that our terahertz CIS has excellent potential in cost-effective and commercial THz imaging and material detection. | Min Liu Ziteng Cai Jian Liu Nanjian Wu Liyuan Liu | 2023 | Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,10: | 0
Cross-reactivity of eight SARS-CoV-2 variants rationally predicts immunogenicity clustering in sarbecoviruses显示文摘A steep rise in Omicron reinfection cases suggests that this variant has increased immune evasion ability. To evaluate its antigenicity relationship with other variants, antisera from guinea pigs immunized with spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern(VOCs)and variants of interest(VOIs)were cross-tested against pseudotyped variants. The neutralization activity against Omicron was markedly reduced when other VOCs or VOIs were used as immunogens, and Omicron(BA.1)-elicited sera did not efficiently neutralize the other variants. However,a Beta or Omicron booster, when administered as the 4th dose 3-months after the 3rd dose of any of the variants, could elicit broad neutralizing antibodies against all of the current variants including Omicron BA.1.Further analysis with 280 available antigen–antibody structures and quantification of immune escape from 715 reported neutralizing antibodies provide explanations for the observed differential immunogenicity.Three distinct clades predicted using an in silico algorithm for clustering of sarbecoviruses based on immune escape provide key information for rational design of vaccines. | Qianqian Li Li Zhang Ziteng Liang Nan Wang Shuo Liu Tao Li Yuanling Yu Qianqian Cui Xi Wu Jianhui Nie Jiajing Wu Zhimin Cui Qiong Lu Xiangxi Wang Weijin Huang Youchun Wang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8: | 0
Data-driven model for predicting production periods in the SAGD process显示文摘Many studies have analyzed the cumulative production performance in the SAGD(steam assisted gravity drainage)process by data-driven models but a study based on these models for a dynamic analysis of a SAGD production period is still rare.It is important for engineers to define the production period in a SAGD process as it has a stable and high oil production rate and engineers need to reset operational conditions after the production period starts. In this paper,a series of SAGD models were constructed with selected ranges of reservoir properties and operational conditions.Three SAGD production period parameters, including the start date, end date, and duration, are collected based on the simulated production performances.artificial neural network, extreme gradient boosting, light gradient boosting machine, and catboost were constructed to reveal the hidden relationships between twelve input parameters and three output parameters. The data-driven models were trained, tested, and evaluated. The results showed that compared with the other output parameters, the R^(2) of the end date is the highest and it becomes higher with a larger training data set.The extreme gradient boosting algorithm is a better choice to predict the Start date while the artificial neural network generates better prediction for the other two output parameters. This study shows a significant potential in the use of data-driven models for the SAGD production dynamic analysis. The results also serve to support the utilization of the datadriven models as efficient tools for predicting a SAGD production period. | Ziteng Huang Min Yang Bo Yang Wei Liu Zhangxin Chen | 2022 | Petroleum2022,8,3: | 0
Toward batch synthesis of high-quality graphene by cold-wall chemical vapor deposition approach显示文摘Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)has emerged as a promising approach for the controlled growth of graphene films with appealing scalability, controllability, and uniformity. However, the synthesis of high-quality graphene films still suffers from low production capacity and high energy consumption in the conventional hot-wall CVD system. In contrast, owing to the different heating mode,cold-wall CVD(CW-CVD)system exhibits promising potential for the industrial-scale production, but the quality of as-received graphene remains inferior with limited domain size and high defect density.Herein,we demonstrated an efficient method for the batch synthesis of high-quality graphene films with millimeter-sized domains based on CW-CVD system. With reduced defect density and improved properties, the as-received graphene was proven to be promising candidate material for electronics and anti-corrosion application. This study provides a new insight into the quality improvement of graphene derived from CW-CVD system, and paves a new avenue for the industrial production of high-quality graphene films for potential commercial applications. | Kaicheng Jia Ziteng Ma Wendong Wang Yongliang Wen Huanxin Li Yeshu Zhu Jiawei Yang Yuqing Song Jiaxin Shao Xiaoting Liu Qi Lu Yixuan Zhao Jianbo Yin Luzhao Sun Hailin Peng Jincan Zhang Li Lin Zhongfan Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,11: | 0
Porous-structure engineered spacer for high-throughput and rapidgrowth of high-quality graphene films显示文摘Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)in conjunction with batch-to-batch manufacturing process is considered as the most promising technical route for mass-production of high-quality graphene films. To improve the space utilization of the CVD chamber and increase the throughput per batch, stacking of the Cu foil substrates is efficient, but suffers from the problems of adjacent fusion and the poor mass-transfer.Here,we demonstrate an efficient strategy for high-throughput and rapid growth of high-quality graphene by alternate stacking of Cu foils and porous carbon fiber paper(CFP).Relying on the unhindered mass-transfer through the pores of CFPs,full-covered high-quality graphene films on compact-stacked Cu foils were achieved within 2 min.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulation and isotope labeling technique were performed to explore the gas diffusion and graphene growth process in the confined space of the Cu-CFP stacks. This work provides a feasible method for industrial production of graphene films, which may also be used for batch production of other two-dimensional materials. | Ziteng Ma Heng Chen Xiaofeng Song Buhang Chen Qin Li Yanglizhi Li Haiyang Liu Kaicheng Jia Shenghong Huang Luzhao Sun Zhongfan Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,11: | 0
Cortico–subcortical spatiotemporal dynamics in Parkinson’s disease can be modulated by transcranial alternating current stimulation显示文摘Objective:We investigated changes in cortico–subcortical spatiotemporal dynamics to explore the treatment mechanisms oftranscranial alternating current stimulation(tACS)in patientswith Parkinson’s disease(PD).Methods:Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-fMRI)data were collected from 20 patients with PD and 20 normal controls(NC).Each patient with PD received successivemultidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation treatment and tACStreatment over a one-year interval.Individual functional brain network mapping and co-activation pattern(CAP)analysis were performed to characterize cortico–subcortical dynamics. Results:The same tACS electrode placement stimulated different proportions of functional brain networks across the participants.CAP analysis revealed that the visual network, attentional network, and default mode network co-activated with the thalamus, accumbens, and amygdala, respectively. The pattern characterized by thede-activation of the visual network and the activation of the thalamus showed a significantly low amplitude in the patients with PD than inNCs,and this amplitude increased after tACS treatment.Furthermore, the co-occurrence of cortico–subcortical CAPs was significantly higherin patients with PD than in NCs and decreased after tACS treatment. Conclusions:This study investigated cortico–subcortical spatiotemporaldynamics in patients with PD and further revealed the tACS treatmentmechanism. These findings contribute to understanding cortico–subcortical dynamics and exploring noninvasive neuromodulationtargets of cortico–subcortical circuits in brain diseases, such as PD,Alzheimer’s disease, and depression. | Tiantian Liu Zilong Yan Ziteng Han Jian Zhang Boyan Fang Tianyi Yan | 2023 | Brain Science Advances2023,9,2: | 0
Fast scanning growth of high-quality graphene films on Cu foils fueled by dimeric carbon precursor显示文摘Carbon source precursor is a critical factor governing chemical vapor deposition growth of graphene films.Methane(CH4),has been the most commonly used precursor in the last decade, but it presents challenges in terms of decomposition efficiency and growth rate. Here we thoroughly evaluated acetylene(C2H_(2)),a precursor that is probably for providing carbon dimer(C2)species,for fast growth of large-scale graphene films. We find that the graphene growth behaviors fueled by C2H_(2) exhibit unconventional localized growth behavior with significant advantages in terms of high growth rate, which mainly ascribe to the as-decomposed C2 species. Therefore,a C2-fueled scanning growth strategy is proposed, and the fast scanning growth rate of 40 cm/min was experimentally demonstrated. This growth strategy is compatible with the approach of unidirectional growth of single-crystal graphene films, and the as-grown graphene films are of high-quality.This work demonstrates a reliable and promising strategy for the rapid synthesis of high-quality graphene film and may pave the avenue to cost-effective mass production of graphene materials in the roll-to-roll system. | Heng Chen Xiucai Sun Xiaofeng Song Buhang Chen Ziteng Ma Wanjian Yin Luzhao Sun Zhongfan Liu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,10: | 0
Machine learning on properties of multiscale multisource hydroxyapatite nanoparticles datasets with different morphologies and sizes显示文摘Machine learning models for exploring structure-property relation for hydroxyapatite nanoparticles(HANPs)are still lacking.A multiscale multisource dataset is presented, including both experimental data(TEM/SEM,XRD/crystallinity,ROS,anti-tumor effects, and zeta potential)and computation results(containing 41,976 data samples with up to 9768 atoms)of nanoparticles with different sizes and morphologies at density functional theory(DFT),semi-empirical DFTB,and force field, respectively.Three geometric descriptors are set for the explainable machine learning methods to predict surface energies and surface stress of HANPs with satisfactory performance. To avoid the pre-determination of features,we also developed a predictive deep learning model within the framework of graph convolution neural network with good generalizability.Energies with DFT accuracy are achievable for largesized nanoparticles from the learned correlations and scale functions for mapping different theoretical levels and particle sizes. The simulated XRD spectra and crystallinity values are in good agreement with experiments. | Ziteng Liu Yinghuan Shi Hongwei Chen Tiexin Qin Xuejie Zhou Jun Huo Hao Dong Xiao Yang Xiangdong Zhu Xuening Chen Li Zhang Mingli Yang Yang Gao Jing Ma | 2021 | npj Computational Materials2021,,1: | 0
