2Fructus Broussonetae extract improves cognitive function and endoplasmic reticulum stress in Alzheimer's disease models显示文摘This study investigated the effects and possible targets of Fructus Broussonetiae extract,a traditional Chinese medicinal herb,on a model of Alzheimer's disease induced by beta-amyloid peptide 25-35 and D-galactose.The results revealed that intragastric administration of Fructus Broussonetiae significantly increased the expression of immunoglobulin-binding protein,a key factor in the endoplasmic reticulum stress-signaling pathway in rat hippocampus.In contrast,the treatment significantly decreased expression levels of PKR-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase and C/EBP homologous protein,and substantially improved learning,memory and spatial recognition dysfunction in rats.This evidence indicates that Fructus Broussonetiae extract improves spatial learning and memory abilities in rats by affecting the regulation of hippocampal endoplasmic reticulum stress and activation of the apoptosis pathway.Yinghong Li Li Hu Zhengzhi Wu Zhiling Yu Meiqun Cao Kehuan Sun Yu Jin Anmin Wu Andrew CJ Huang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,30:7
3WiFi CSI Gesture Recognition Based on Parallel LSTM-FCN Deep Space-Time Neural Network显示文摘In this study,we developed a system based on deep space–time neural networks for gesture recognition.When users change or the number of gesture categories increases,the accuracy of gesture recognition decreases considerably because most gesture recognition systems cannot accommodate both user differentiation and gesture diversity.To overcome the limitations of existing methods,we designed a onedimensional parallel long short-term memory–fully convolutional network(LSTM–FCN)model to extract gesture features of different dimensions.LSTM can learn complex time dynamic information,whereas FCN can predict gestures efficiently by extracting the deep,abstract features of gestures in the spatial dimension.In the experiment,50 types of gestures of five users were collected and evaluated.The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this system and robustness to various gestures and individual changes.Statistical analysis of the recognition results indicated that an average accuracy of approximately 98.9% was achieved.Zhiling Tang Qianqian Liu Minjie Wu Wenjing Chen Jingwen Huang 2021China Communications2021,18,3:2
4Z-scheme heterojunction of SnS_(2)-decorated 3DOM-SrTiO_(3) for selectively photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction into CH4显示文摘The rapid recombination of photoinduced electron-hole pairs as well as the deficiency of high-energy carriers restricted the redox ability and products selectivity.Herein,the heterojunction of SnS_(2)-deco rated three-dimensional ordered macropores(3DOM)-SrTiO_(3) catalysts were in-situ constructed to provide transmit channel for high-energy electron transmission.The suitable band edges of SnS_(2) and SrTiO_(3) contribute to the Z-scheme transfer of photogenerated carrier.The 3DOM structure of SrTiO_(3)-based catalyst possesses the slow light effect for enhancing light adsorption efficiency,and the surface alkalis strontium is benefit to the boosting adsorption for CO_(2).The in-situ introduced SnS_(2) decorated on the macroporous wall surface of 3DOM-SrTiO_(3) altered the primary product from CO to CH4.The Z-scheme electron transfer from SnS_(2) combining with the holes in SrTiO_(3) occurred under full spectrum photoexcitation,which improved the excitation and utilization of photogene rated electrons for C02 multi-electrons reduction.As a result,(SnS_(2))3/3 DOM-SrTiO_(3) catalyst exhibits higher activity for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to CH4 compared with single SnS_(2) or 3 DOM-SrTiO_(3),i.e.,its yield and selectivity of CH4 are 12.5μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) and 74.9%,re spectively.The present work proposed the theoretical foundation of Z-scheme heterojunction construction for enhancing photocatalytic activity and selectivity for CO_(2) conversion.Wenjie He Xingxing Wu Yifei Li Jing Xiong Zhiling Tang Yuechang Wei Zhen Zhao Xiao Zhang Jian Liu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:2
5An improved ileal conduit surgery for bladder cancer with fewer complications显示文摘Background:Radical cystectomy and urinary diversion remains the standard surgical treatment for patients with muscle-invasive or high-risk or recurrent non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer.Although this approach prolongs patient survival remarkably,there are postoperative complications associated with urinary diversion.This study aimed to assess the efficacy of modified ileal conduit surgery for reducing early and late stoma-and ureteroileal anastomo-sis-related complications,as compared with conventional ileal conduit urinary diversion.Methods:We retrospectively evaluated the clinical data of bladder cancer patients treated with radical cystectomy and ileal conduit urinary diversion at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center between January 1,2000 and June 30,2016.Ileal conduit was created by the conventional or a modified technique.The clinicopathologic features of the conventional and the modified ileal conduit groups were compared using the t test and the Chi square test.Multivari-able logistic regression analysis and multivariable Cox regression analysis were performed to determine the odds of developing stoma-and ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications in the two groups.Results:145 and 100 patients underwent the modified and conventional ileal conduit surgery,respectively.The two groups were comparable with regard to clinicopathologic features.The rate of stoma-related complications was significantly lower in the modified ileal conduit group than in the conventional ileal conduit group(0.7%vs.17.0%,P<0.001).No late stoma-related complications were seen in the modified ileal conduit group,but were seen in 13(13.0%)patients in the conventional ileal conduit group.The rate of ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications was significantly lower in the modified ileal conduit group than in the conventional ileal conduit group(4.8%vs.15.0%,P=0.001).In multivariable analyses,the modified ileal conduit group was significantly less likely to develop stoma-(odds ratio[OR]=0.024,95%confidence interval[CI]0.003-0.235;P=0.001)or ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications(OR=0.141,95%CI 0.042-0.476;P=0.002)than the conventional ileal conduit group.Conclusions:Our modified surgical technique for ileal conduit urinary diversion may be effective for reducing early and late complications related to the stoma and the ureteroileal anastomosis.Prospective randomized clinical trials are needed to confirm our results.Zhiyong Li Zhuowei Liu Kai Yao Zike Qin Hui Han Yonghong Li Pei Dong Yunlin Ye Yanjun Wang Zhiming Wu Zhiling Zhang Fangjian Zhou 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:2
6Redox responsive nanoparticle encapsulating black phosphorus quantum dots for cancer theranostics显示文摘Effective cancer treatment puts high demands for cancer theranostics.For cancer diagnostics,optical coherence tomography(OCT)technology(including photothermal optical coherence tomography(PT-OCT))has been widely investigated since it induces changes in optical phase transitions in tissue through environmental changes(such as temperature change for PT-OCT).In this report,redox responsive nanoparticle encapsulating black phosphorus quantum dots was developed as a robust PT-OCT agent.Briefly,black phosphorus quantum dots(BPQDs)are incorporated into cysteine-based poly-(disulfide amide)(Cys-PDSA)to form stable and biodegradable nanoagent.The excellent photothermal feature allows BPQD/Cys-PDSA nanoparticles(NPs)as a novel contrast agent for high-resolution PT-OCT bioimaging.The Cys-PDSA can rapidly respond to glutathione and effectively release BPQDs and drugs in vitro and in vivo.And the obtained NPs exhibit excellent near-infrared(NIR)photothermal transduction efficiency and drug delivery capacity that can serve as novel therapeutic platform,with very low chemo drug dosage and side effects.Both of the polymer and BPQD are degradable,indicating this platform is a rare PT-OCT agent that is completely biodegradable.Overall,our research highlights a biodegradable and biocompatible black phosphorus-based nanoagent for both cancer diagnosis and therapy.Haolin Chen Zhiming Liu Bo Wei Jun Huang Xinru You Jingyang Zhang Zhiling Yuan Zhilie Tang Zhouyi Guo Jun Wu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:1

9Clinical Analysis of GPT Alteration of Constructors for Qinghai-Tibetan Railroad at Different Altitude Areas显示文摘Objective: To observe the effect of hypoxia on the liver function of constructors at high altitude. Method: Select 221 constructors aged 23~42 as subjects, who had worked for 3~6 months at 4500 m. Collect venous blood from fasting subjects and determine GPT by new Lai’s Method from “The Nationwide Clinical Inspection Operating Rules'. Results: The study indicated that the GPT of 45 subjects among Group 1 were abnormal, with the proportion of 20.3%. The peak of GPT appeared when subjects exposed to high altitude of 4500m for 1 month, and the mean value was 83.76±9.23.The GPT of workers were higher than that of administers at different altitude (p<0.05). And the GPT of subjects at 4500 m were higher than those at 3500 m (p<0.05). We can find a degrading tendency with the increasing of working time (p<0.05). There was significantly statistic difference between two groups. Conclusions: The study confirmed that hypoxia could cause the change of liver function mildly and moderately. And there was a positive correlation between the degree of hypoxia and liver function. But, the change began to become a decreasing trend when people went on working longer. We also found that the change of liver structure and function at high altitude correlated with several factors else, including labor, individual difference, methods and sensitivity to the test. 10Seasonal and treatment-process variations in invertebrates in drinking water treatment plants显示文摘Problems associated with excessive propagation and leakage of invertebrates in drinking water have received increasing attention in recent years.We performed a monthly survey of invertebrate abundance and taxa in the effluent of each treatment stage in a drinking water treatment plant between May 2015 and April 2016 and analyzed seasonal and treatment-process variations in invertebrates.The results showed that invertebrate abundances in raw water,effluent of the biological activated carbon(BAC)filter,and finished water significantly correlated with water temperature,whereas no correlation was observed between water temperature and invertebrate abundance in the effluents of the sedimentation tank and sand filter.The dominant taxa in the effluent of each treatment stage were rotifers,nematodes,and crustaceans.The sedimentation tank could efficiently remove invertebrates with an annual average removal rate of 92%.The propagation and leakage of invertebrates occurred in the sand and BAC filters but more seriously in the latter.The average reproduction rate in the BAC filter was 268.8%with rotifers as the taxon that leaked the most.Invertebrate survival and reproduction were also observed in the chlorine-disinfected clean water reservoir with an average reproduction rate of 41.9%.Owing to differences in chlorine resistance,the reproduction ability of the dominant taxa was in the order nematodes>crustaceans>rotifers.The proportion of endogenous invertebrates gradually increased along the treatment process.The average proportion of endogenous invertebrates in the finished water was higher than 79.0%.Our findings suggested that waterworks should pay more attention to endogenous invertebrate growth.Zhiling Wu Xianchun Tang Hongbin Chen 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,4:0
11The Method of Polynomial Particular Solutions for Solving Nonlinear Poisson-Type Equations显示文摘In this paper,the method of polynomial particular solutions is used to solve nonlinear Poisson-type partial differential equations in one,two,and three dimensions.The condition number of the coefficient matrix is reduced through the implementation of multiple scale technique,ultimately yielding a stable numerical solution.The methodological process can be divided into two main parts:first,identifying the corresponding polynomial particular solutions for the linear differential operator terms in the governing equations,and second,employing these polynomial particular solutions as basis function to iteratively solve the remaining nonlinear terms within the governing equations.Additionally,we investigate the potential improvement in numerical accuracy for equations with singularities in the analytical solution by shifting the computational domain a certain distance.Numerical experiments are conducted to assess both the accuracy and stability of the proposed method.A comparison of the obtained results with those produced by other numerical methods demonstrates the accuracy,stability,and efficiency of the proposed method in handling nonlinear Poisson-type partial differential equations.Zhile Jia Yanhua Cao Xiaoran Wu 2024Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2024,37,1:0
12Analysis and design of handover in multicell cooperation networks: a field trial显示文摘Cooperative communication networks have been studied and analyzed for many years for enhancing system performance,capacity,and reducing interference with the least focus on handover in cooperative communication scenarios.This paper focuses on trial field testing system for evaluating the proposed handover scheme called slide handover(HO).An automatic power allocation technique is coupled with slide HO scheme and its performance is also evaluated under cooperative networks.Our proposed scheme has achieved 100%successful HO executions in our field trial system.Block error rate(BLER)and slide HO are tested and analyzed in this trial system,and it is shown that the capacity of cooperative networks in these trials implementation has improved and maintained the expected quality of service.BLER below1%is noted at different testing locations which occasionally reached to 10%.Real-time video streaming performance is tested at different trial locations,and uniform streaming performance is noted at all different locations including during the HO process.This implies the improved HO delay of the proposed slide HO as compared to traditional HO techniques.Xiaofeng Tao Dezhuang Wu Waheed Ur Rehman Yue Yin Zhiling Tang 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,17:0
13Salidroside Pretreatment to Mesenchymal Stem Cells Improves Cell Survival and Migration to Promote Diabetic Wound Healing显示文摘Objective Diabetic patients pose a greater challenge in managing chronic wound healing,leading to a higher amputation risk compared to non-diabetic patients.Due to their paracrine function by secreting various cytokines and angiogenic factors,mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have been acknowledged to be a potential agent in modulating wound healing process.However,post-transplanted MSCs are vulnerable to death,indicating poor survival and migration ability in the wound site of the host,especially under hyperglycemia.As hyperglycemia induces reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation and cellular apoptosis,improvement of MSCs survival and migration potentials under hyperglycemia could contribute to a more efficient MSCs-based wound healing therapy.Salidroside(Sa),a small-molecule drug derived from Rhodiola plant,has been proved to enhance the paracrine function of skeletal muscle cells,as well as their migration even under hypoxichyperglycemia.Herein,we investigated whether Sa could improve the survival and migration potentials of MSCs,subsequently enhance the wound healing process under hyperglycemia.Methods MSCs were cultured under three conditions:low glucose,high glucose,and high glucose+Sa.qPCR analysis and western blotting were done to examine the mRNA and protein expression level of several factors which are important in upregulating the wound healing process.MTT colorimetric assay,intracellular ROS detection,and flow cytometry assay were employed to examine the effect of Sa in MSCs survival.Transwell chamber assay,scratch assay,and phalloidin staining were done to elucidate the role of Sa in regulating MSCs migration potential.For in vivo experiment,diabetic wound healing mice model was generated to elucidate the effect of Sa-pretreated MSCs transplantation in wound closure rate,as well as re-epithelization status,observed with hematoxylin and eosin staining.The diabetic wound healing mice model were divided into three groups:1)mice injected with PBS,2)mice transplanted with PBS-pretreated MSCs,and 3)mice transplanted with Sa-pretreated MSCs.Results(1)Hyperglycemic condition induced the generation of ROS and suppressed total cell number of MSCs,while Sa treatment into MSCs restored these hyperglycemia-induced alterations.In line with this,total apoptotic cells were also suppressed by treating MSCs with Sa.The expression level of cell survival factor,heme-oxygenase 1(HO-1),was enhanced in Sa-pretreated MSCs.Further treatment of HO-1 inhibitor into Sa-pretreated MSCs nullified the ROS level and total apoptotic cells,indica-ting the importance of HO-1 in mediating the Sa-induced survival of MSCs under hyperglycemia.(2)Transwell chamber and scratch assay results showed that Sa-pretreated MSCs have a higher migration potential under hyperglycemia,supported by higher F-actin polymerization fractal dimension.Fibroblast growth factor 2(FGF2)and hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)expression level,which are essential factors for cell migration,were also improved in Sa-pretreated MSCs under hyperglycemia.(3)In diabetic wound healing mice model,transplantation of Sa-pretreated MSCs resulted in significantly improved wound closure rate and re-epithelization.The protein levels of HO-1,FGF2,and HGF were also enhanced in the tissues obtained from the wound site of diabetic wound healing mice model which were transplanted with Sa-pretreated MSCs.Conclusions Salidroside pretreatment on MSCs could improve their survival and migration potentials,subsequently promoting wound healing process under hyperglycemia.This prospective MSC-based therapy could serve as a novel strategy to improve diabetic wound healing.Olivia Marcelina Jianqi Zhang Dyah Ari Nugrahaningrum Zhiling Xu Guixue Wang Li Yang Shourong Wu Vivi Kasim 2019医用生物力学2019,34,A01:0
14Combining Block and Corner Features for Content-Based Trademark Retrieval显示文摘In order to retrieve a similarly look trademark from a large trademark database,an automatic content based trademark retrieval method using block hit statistic and corner Delaunay Triangulation features was proposed. The block features are de-rived from the hit statistic on a series of concentric ellipse. The corners are detected based on an enhanced SUSAN(Smallest Uni-value Segment Assimilating Nucleus) algorithm and the Delaunay Triangulation of corner points are used as the corner features. Ex-periments have been conducted on the MPEG-7 Core Experiment CE-Shape-1 database of 1 400 images and a trademark database of 2 000 images. 15Toward scalable fabrication of electrochemical paper sensor without surface functionalization显示文摘Paper-based electrochemical sensors provide the opportunity for low-cost,portable and environmentally friendly single-use chemical analysis and there are various reports of surface-functionalized paper electrodes.Here we report a composite paper electrode that is fabricated through designed papermaking using cellulose,carbon fibers(CF),and graphene oxide(GO).The composite paper has well-controlled structure,stable,and repeatable properties,and offers the electrocatalytic activities for sensitive and selective chemical detection.We demonstrate that this CF/GO/cellulose composite paper can be reduced electroche mically using relatively mild conditions and this GO reduction confers electrocatalytic properties to the composite paper.Finally,we demonstrate that this composite paper offers sensing performance(sensitivity and selectivity)comparable to,or better than,paperbased sensors prepared by small-batch surface-modification(e.g.,printing)methods.We envision this coupling of industrialized papermaking technologies with interfacial engineering and electrochemical reduction can provide a platform for single-use and portable chemical detection for a wide range of applications.Cheng Wang Rui Wu Hao Ling Zhiling Zhao Wenjia Han Xiaowen Shi Gregory F.Payne Xiaohui Wang 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
16一种用于治疗膀胱癌且并发症较少的改良回肠导管术显示文摘背景与目的根治性膀胱切除术和尿流改道术仍然是肌层浸润性或高危或复发非肌层浸润性膀胱癌患者的标准外科治疗方法。尽管这种方法显著延长了患者的生存期,但仍存在与尿流改道相关的术后并发症。本研究旨在通过与传统回肠导管尿流改道术相比较,评价改良回肠导管术减少早期及晚期造口及输尿管回肠吻合术相关并发症的疗效。方法回顾分析2000年1月1日至2016年6月30日在中山大学肿瘤防治中心接受膀胱癌根治术及回肠导管尿流改道术的膀胱癌患者的临床资料,患者分别采用了传统或改良的回肠导管术。采用t检验和卡方检验,比较传统与改良回肠导管术组患者的临床病理学特征。采用多变量logistic回归分析和多变量Cox回归分析,确定两组发生造口和输尿管回肠吻合相关并发症的概率。结果接受改良与传统回肠导管术的患者分别为145例与100例。两组的临床病理学特征具有可比性。改良回肠导管术组与传统回肠导管术组相比,造口相关并发症发生率显著降低(0.7%vs.17.0%,P<0.001)。改良回肠导管术组未发现晚期造口相关并发症,但传统回肠导管术组有13(13.0%)例患者出现并发症。改良回肠导管术组与传统回肠导管术组相比,输尿管回肠吻合相关并发症发生率显著降低(4.8%vs.15.0%,P=0.001)。在多变量分析中,与传统回肠导管术组相比,改良回肠导管术组更不容易出现造口[比值比(odds ratio,OR)=0.024,95%置信区间(confidence interval,CI):0.003–0.235;P=0.001]或输尿管回肠吻合术相关并发症(OR=0.141,95%CI:0.042–0.476;P=0.002)。结论改良的回肠导管尿流改道可有效减少与造口及输尿管回肠吻合术相关的早期及晚期并发症。需要前瞻性随机临床试验来证实我们的结果。Zhiyong Li Zhuowei Liu Kai Yao Zike Qin Hui Han Yonghong Li Pei Dong Yunlin Ye Yanjun Wang Zhiming Wu Zhiling Zhang Fangjian Zhou 2019癌症2019,38,10:0
17Frequency-tunable microwave quantum light source based on superconducting quantum circuits显示文摘A non-classical light source is essential for implementing a wide range of quantum information processing protocols,including quantum computing,networking,communication and metrology.In the microwave regime,propagating photonic qubits,which transfer quantum information between multiple superconducting quantum chips,serve as building blocks for large-scale quantum computers.In this context,spectral control of propagating single photons is crucial for interfacing different quantum nodes with varied frequencies and bandwidths.Here a deterministic microwave quantum light source was demonstrated based on superconducting quantum circuits that can generate propagating single photons,time-bin encoded photonic qubits and qudits.In particular,the frequency of the emitted photons can be tuned in situ as large as 200 MHz.Even though the internal quantum efficiency of the light source is sensitive to the working fre-quency,it is shown that the fidelity of the propagating photonic qubit can be well preserved with the time-bin encoding scheme.This work thus demonstrates a versatile approach to realizing a practical quantum light source for future distributed quantum computing.Yan Li Zhiling Wang Zenghui Bao Yukai Wu Jiahui Wang Jize Yang Haonan Xiong Yipu Song Hongyi Zhang Luming Duan 2023Chip2023,2,3:0

19CHCHD2 Thr61Ile mutation impairs F1F0-ATPase assembly in in vitro and in vivo models of Parkinson's disease显示文摘Mitochondrial dysfunction is a significant pathological alte ration that occurs in Parkinson's disease(PD),and the Thr61lle(T61I)mutation in coiled-coil helix coiled-coil helix domain containing 2(CHCHD2),a crucial mitochondrial protein,has been reported to cause Parkinson's disease.FIFO-ATPase participates in the synthesis of cellular adenosine triphosphate(ATP)and plays a central role in mitochondrial energy metabolism.However,the specific roles of wild-type(WT)CHCHD2 and T611-mutant CHCHD2 in regulating F1FO-ATPase activity in Parkinson's disease,as well as whether CHCHD2 or CHCHD2 T61I affects mitochondrial function through regulating F1FO-ATPase activity,remain unclea r.Therefore,in this study,we expressed WT CHCHD2 and T61l-mutant CHCHD2 in an MPP^(+)-induced SH-SY5Y cell model of PD.We found that CHCHD2 protected mitochondria from developing MPP^(+)-induced dysfunction.Under normal conditions,ove rexpression of WT CHCHD2 promoted F1FO-ATPase assembly,while T61I-mutant CHCHD2 appeared to have lost the ability to regulate F1FO-ATPase assembly.In addition,mass spectrometry and immunoprecipitation showed that there was an interaction between CHCHD2 and F1FO-ATPase.Three weeks after transfection with AAV-CHCHD2 T61I,we intraperitoneally injected 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine into mice to establish an animal model of chronic Parkinson's disease and found that exogenous expression of the mutant protein worsened the behavioral deficits and dopaminergic neurodegeneration seen in this model.These findings suggest that WT CHCHD2 can alleviate mitochondrial dysfunction in PD by maintaining F1F0-ATPase structure and function.Xiang Chen Yuwan Lin Zhiling Zhang Yuting Tang Panghai Ye Wei Dai Wenlong Zhang Hanqun Liu Guoyou Peng Shuxuan Huang Jiewen Qiu Wenyuan Guo Xiaoqin Zhu Zhuohua Wu Yaoyun Kuang Pingyi Xu Miaomiao Zhou 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,1:0
20Development of Neural Network for BLSOM Clustering of HA Genes of Avian Influenza Viruses Isolated in Guangdong Province显示文摘A neural network classification method,and a batch-learning self-organizing map(BLSOM),was established using trinucleotide and tetranucleotide in the hemagglutinin gene sequences of 25 avian influenza viruses isolated in Guangdong Province. Statistical analysis and normalization of the fragment number were done and MATLAB function was used to simulate the human brain thinking for self-organizing learning. When the number of training steps was 100 and above,the strains could be successfully clustered.
