| 2 | Strain Softening and Hardening Behavior in AZ61 Magnesium Alloy显示文摘The deformation behavior of AZ61 Mg alloy during hot deformation has been investigated in wide temperature and strain rate range by a Gleeble simulator. Specimens are deformed in compression in the temperature range of 523~673 K and at strain rates of 0.001~1 s-1. It is found that the flow curves exhibit a peak and then decrease towards steady-state of classical DRX, which decrease with rising temperature and decreasing strain rate. The deformation behavior of the specimens can be attributed to the occurrence of strain hardening and softening. As stress decreases, the strain hardening rate declines at a fast rate when temperature rises or strain rate decreases. The shapes of θ-σ curves indicate some important features such as subgrain formation, the critical stress, the peak stress and steady stress. | 3 | Microstructure and mechanical properties of sand-cast Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy subject to thermal cycling treatment显示文摘This work was undertaken to investigate the microstructural evolution, mechanical properties and fracture behavior of sand-cast Mg-6 Gd-3 Y-0.5 Zr(GW63) alloy subject to thermal cycling treatment. In order to simulate the thermal cycling under extreme service conditions(space or moon environments), the sand-cast and T6 treated GW63 alloys were subjected to thermal cycling treatment which consists of deep cryogenic-elevated temperature cycling treatment(DCET) and deep cryogenic cycling treatment(DCT). Results indicate that there are significant gains in yield strength(YS) and ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of the sand-cast GW63 alloy after DCET, whereas the T6 state alloy undergoes a different variation in mechanical properties. However, no appreciable influence is revealed on the mechanical properties of the tested GW63 alloys after DCT. Meanwhile, the DCT and DCET have no obvious effects on the fracture morphology. The DCT enhances the precipitation kinetics via providing favorable nucleation sites for the precipitation of second phases. The elevated temperature process of DCET plays a crucial role in improving the aging-hardening responses and releasing the stress concentration brought by DCT to a great extent, leading to overcome the obstacle of essential phase transformation. | 4 | Structural geometrical analysis and simulation of decollement growth folds in piedmont Fauqi Anticline of Zagros Mountains, Iraq显示文摘This study carried out detailed structural analyses of the plane structural deformation pattern and sectional structural deformation styles of the Fauqi Anticline by the 3D seismic section with full cover collection, and carried out the kinematical simulation of the Fauqi anticlinal deep decollement coupling shallow growth folds and faults based on the fault decollement fold model and the forward balanced geological section technique. The study subsequently evaluated the differentiated petroleum enrichment mechanism of the Fauqi Anticline by utilizing the results of the structural analysis and combining the spatial-temporal relationship analysis of the source, the reservoir, and the caprock. The results showed that the differentiated plane structural deformation pattern and hierarchical sectional structural deformation style were developed by the superposed coupling of deep decollement, syntectonic sedimentation of shallow growth strata, and the compression of the south-west horizontal tectonic stress from the Zagros Mountains. It was found that the differentiated structural deformation caused the differentiated enrichment of petroleum in the Fauqi Anticline. | 5 | Precipitation modification in cast Mg-1Nd-1Ce-Zr alloy by Zn addition显示文摘The effects of different Zn addition(0,0.2,0.5,1.0 wt%)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cast Mg-1Nd-1Ce-Zr alloy in as-cast,solution-treated and 200℃peak-aged conditions were studied.Precipitates in cast Mg-1Nd-1Ce-Zr alloy are significantly modified by the Zn addition.In the Zn-free alloy,the disk-shaped prismatic precipitates and the point-like precipitates are the main strengthening phases.When 0.2 Zn is added,the disk-shaped precipitates are refined and very fine basal precipitates form additionally.When 0.5 Zn is added,the basal precipitates become the main strengthening phase.Further increasing the Zn addition to 1.0%,only spare basal precipitates and point-like precipitates exist.The 0.5 Zn addition alloy has the highest strength at room temperature,whose yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and elongation in T6 condition are 136 MPa,237 MPa and 9%,respectively. | Yiyuan Zhou Penghuai Fu Liming Peng Dan Wang Yingxin Wang Bin Hu Ming Liu Anil K.Sachdev Wenjiang Ding | 2019 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,1: | 2 |

| 7 | Identification and Gene Mapping of Completely Dominant Earliness in Rice显示文摘The completely dominant earliness was identified in a genic male-sterile and early maturing indica line 6442S-7. F1 progenies from 6442S-7 crossed with thirteen various types of medium- or latematuring varieties, shared the same heading date as 6442S-7. The segregation of heading date in the F2 and B1F1 populations showed that the earliness of 6442S-7 is mainly controlled by two dominant major genes. The local linkage map of one dominant earliness gene harbored in 6442S-7 was constructed with F2 population and four kinds of molecular marker techniques. The results showed that the gene was located between a RFLPmarker C515 and a RAPD marker OPI 11. 557 on the terminal region of short arm of rice chromosome 3,10.9cM and 1.5 cM from C515 and OPI11. 557, respectively. The genetic distances from the target gene to twoSSR markers, RM22 and RM231, and one AFLP marker, PT671, were 3.0, 6.7 and 12.4 cM, respectively. This gene, being identified and mapped first, is designated tentatively as Ef-cd (t). | 9 | Simultaneous enhancement in electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient by single-to double-valley transition in a Dirac-like band显示文摘SnTe possesses a single-to double-valley transition in the conduction band minimum when a compressive strain is applied.Through a tight-binding analysis,it is shown that the variation of the band structure is attributed to the strain-induced delocalization of both the Sn-5s orbitals and Te-5p orbitals with different angular momenta.This effect can largely increase the electron density of states near the band edge and thus keep the Fermi level of the compressed SnTe closer to it,where the electrons have lower scattering rates.The strain-induced double valleys lead to simultaneous increases in the electrical conductivity and the Seebeck coefficient and thereby nearly four times the enhancement of the power factor at the doping concentration of 5×10^(19) cm^(–3).This work suggests a feasible concept that can be employed to promote the power factor of a Dirac semiconductor via manipulating the valley degeneracy in the conduction band minimum. | Yu Dai Wenjiang Zhou Hyun-Jung Kim Qichen Song Xin Qian Te-Huan Liu Ronggui Yang | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 1 |

| 12 | Gengnianchun recipe inhibits apoptosis of pheochromocytoma cells from beta-amyloid 25-35 insult, better than monotherapies and their compounds显示文摘This study aims to determine and compare the protective effects of Gengnianchun recipe drug serum and compounds of its representative drug monotherapies against sympathetic nerve pheochromocytoma cell line PC12 cells damaged by beta-amyloid 25-35 at the cellular apoptosis and related signal pathway levels. PC12 cells cultured with medicated rat serum showed enhanced cell viability and reduced cellular apoptosis rates compared with those of monotherapies and their compounds. Furthermore, Gengnianchun recipe up-regulated expressions of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2, estrogen receptor-beta and phosphorylated extracellular-signal-regulated kinase 1/2; and down-regulated expressions of pro-apoptotic proteins Bax and caspase-3. Gengnianchun recipe was superior to representative drug monotherapies, such as paeoniflorin, berberine, timosaponin A-III, icariine and their compounds in protecting PC12 cells. Mitogen-activated protein kinase blocker and estrogen receptor antagonist were found to reverse the above effects of Gengnianchun recipe. The results were as follows: The HPTHR had more vascular bundles and a much bigger area of single vascular bundle, all vascular bundle, all phloem and all xylem in the first inter-node than Shanyou63. The vascular bundles had the similar load of spikelet number and sink capacity between the HPTHR and Shanyou63. The HPTHR had not only a larger sink but also normal grain-filling and sink-filling, high seed-setting rate and heavier panicle. Those characteristics of vascular bundle were the biological bases for the larger and heavier panicle of HPTHR. | 18 | Estimating leaf water content at the leaf scale in soybean inoculated with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi from in situ spectral measurements显示文摘Leaf water content(LWC)of crops is a suitable parameter for evaluation of plant water status and arbuscular mycorrhizal effect on the host plant under drought stress.Remote sensing technology provides an effective avenue to estimate LWC in crops.However,few LWC retrieval models have been developed specifically for the arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculated crops.In this study,soybean with inoculation and non-inoculation treatments were planted under the severe drought,moderate drought and normal irrigation levels.The LWC changes under different treatments at the 30 th,45 th and 64 th day after the inoculation were investigated,and the spectral response characteristics of inoculated and non-inoculated soybean leaves under the three drought stresses were analyzed.Five types of spectral variables/indices including:raw spectral reflectance(R),continuum-removed spectral reflectance(R C),difference vegetation index(DVI),normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and ratio vegetation index(RVI)were applied to determine the best estimator of LWC.The results indicate that LWC decreased as the aggravating of drought stress levels.However,LWC in inoculated leaves was higher than that in the counterparts under the same drought stress level,and the values of raw reflectance measured at inoculated leaves were lower than the non-inoculated leaves,especially around 1900 nm and 1410 nm.These water spectral features were more evident in the corresponding continuum-removed spectral reflectance.The newly proposed DVI C(2280,1900)index,derived from the continuum-removed spectral reflectance at 2280 nm and the raw spectral reflectance at 1900 nm in DVI type of index,was the most robust for soybean LWC assessment,with R 2 value of 0.72(p<0.01)and root mean square error(RMSE)and mean absolute error(MAE)of 2.12%and 1.75%,respectively.This study provides a means to monitor the mycorrhizal effect on drought-induced crops indirectly and non-destructively. | Weiping Kong Wenjiang Huang Xianfeng Zhou Hugh Mortimer Lingling Ma Lingli Tang Chuanrong Li | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6: | 0 |
