| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 5 | Chemical screen identifies a geroprotective role of quercetin in premature aging显示文摘Aging increases the risk of various diseases. The main goal of aging research is to find therapies that attenuate aging and alleviate aging-related diseases. In this study, we screened a natural product library for geroprotective compounds using Werner syndrome (WS) human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs), a premature aging model that we recently established. Ten candidate compounds were identified and quercetin was investigated in detail due to its leading effects. Mechanistic studies revealed that quercetin alleviated senescence via the enhancement of cell proliferation and restoration of heterochromatin architecture in WS hMSCs. RNA-sequencing analysis revealed the transcriptional commonalities and differences in the geroprotective effects by quercetin and Vitamin C. Besides WS hMSCs, quercetin also attenuated cellular senescence in Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) and physiological-aging hMSCs. | 7 | Local concentration of middle and heavy rare earth elements in the col on the weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores显示文摘This present study focused on investigating the content and relative enrichment multiple of rare earth elements(REEs) in different terrain of weathered ore body, and the value of light rare earth elements/middle and heavy rare earth elements(LREEs/HREEs), in order to understand the mobilization and redistribution of HREEs, Furthermore, the abrasion pH was investigated as well, The results show that the average contents of HREEs in the knap, ridge and col are 37.26, 61.71, and 271.3 μg/g, respectively. The value of LREEs/HREEs is decreased from 16.78 to 7.914 between knap and col and the relative enrichment multiple of HREEs is as follows: C_(Col-HREEs) > C_(Ridge-HREEs) > 0. It is indicated the HREEs is concentrated in the col and the enrichment degree of HREEs is stronger than the ridge and the knap. Rare earth elements fractionation is exhibited in the different terrain of weathered ore body. | 8 | Osteoblastic and anti-osteoclastic activities of strontium-substituted silicocarnotite ceramics: In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Osteoporosis bone defect is a refractory orthopaedic disease which characterized by impaired bone quality and bone regeneration capacity.Current therapies,including antiosteoporosis drugs and artificial bone grafts,are not always satisfactory.Herein,a strontium-substituted calcium phosphate silicate bioactive ceramic(Sr-CPS)was fabricated.In the present study,the extracts of Sr-CPS were prepared for in vitro study and Sr-CPS scaffolds were used for in vivo study.The cytocompatibility,osteogenic and osteoclastogenic properties of Sr-CPS extracts were characterized in comparison to CPS.Molecular mechanisms were also evaluated by Western blot.Sr-CPS extracts were found to promote osteogenesis by upregulating Wnt/β-catenin signal pathways and inhibit osteoclastogenesis through downregulating NF-κB signal pathway.In vivo,micro-CT,histological and histomorphometric observation were conducted after 8 weeks of implantation to evaluate the bone formation using calvarial defects model in ovariectomized rats.Compared with CPS,Sr-CPS significantly promoted critical sized ovariectomy(OVX)calvarial defects healing.Among all the samples,Sr-10 showed the best performance due to a perfect match of bone formation and scaffold degradation rates.Overall,the present study demonstrated that Sr-CPS ceramic can dually modulate both bone formation and resorption,which might be a promising candidate for the reconstruction of osteoporotic bone defect. | Junkai Zeng Jingshu Guo Zhenyu Sun Fanyan Deng Congqin Ning Youzhuan Xie | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,3: | 9 |
| 9 | Geochemical characteristics and geological significance of the Neoproterozoic carbonates from northern Anhui Province, China显示文摘Petrographical and geochemical studies were carried out of the Neoproterozoic carbonates from northern Anhui Province, China. These carbonates can be subdivided into two types, including purified limestone (PL) and mixed limestone and siliclastic rocks (MLS). PLs are low in Si, Al, Zr and total REE but high in CaO compared with MLSs. Correlations between Zr, Fe2O3, P2O5 and total REE are also less remarkable, indicating that they were not obviously contaminated by continental materials but directly precipitated from seawater. So they can be used for the inversion of paleo-seawater REE patterns. The inversed results indicated that the REE pattern of Neoproterozoic seawater was similar to that of the modern seawater except for the lack of Ce depletion, which was probably affected by the reduced hydrothermal solution. In combination with previous studies, the geochemical trending of these carbonatic samples towards the continental arc in the La- Th-Sc and Th-Sc-Zr/10 diagrams is interpreted as the contamination of arc volcanism. | 12 | Erosion behavior and failure mechanism of Ti/TiAlN multilayer coatings eroded by silica sand and glass beads显示文摘Severe erosion by hard particles is a crucial problem to engine blades when aircraft take off and land in harsh environments, especially for the developed lightweight titanium alloy components. Here, we deposited the Ti/TiAlN multilayer coatings with various cycles on Ti–6 Al–4 V substrates by a home-made hybrid multisource cathodic arc system. The effects of the silica sand and glass beads on erosion behavior of the coatings were focused. Results showed that the Ti/TiAlN multilayer coatings eroded by the silica sand exhibited the predominant 'layer by layer' failure mechanism. In particular, increasing the number of cycles led to the dramatic increase in erosion rate for Ti/TiAlN multilayer coatings, due to the deterioration of their mechanical properties. Different from the silica sand case, however, the erosion rate of the coatings treated by glass beads indicated faint dependence upon the number of cycles, where the coating failure was dominated by the 'piece by piece' failure mechanism. Noted that the Ti layers along with the formed interfaces enhanced the erosion resistance of the coatings, although the failure mechanisms were differently eroded by silica sand and glass beads. | 16 | Analytical study on pretensioned bolt-cable combined support of large cross-section tunnel显示文摘To study the mechanical responses of large cross-section tunnel reinforced by pretensioned rock bolts and anchor cables, an analytical model is proposed. Considering the interaction between rock mass and bolt-cable support, the strain softening characteristic of rock mass, the elastic-plastic characteristic of bolt-cable support, and the delay effect of installation are considered in the model. To solve the different mechanical cases of tunneling reinforced by bolt-cable support, an analytical approach has been put forward to get the solutions of stress and displacement associated with tunneling. The proposed analytical model is verified by numerical simulation. Moreover, parametric analysis is performed to study the effects of pretension force,cross-section area, length, and supporting density of bolt-cable support on tunnel reinforcement, which can provide references for determining these parameters in tunnel design. Based on the analytical model, a new Ground Response Curve(GRC)considering the reinforcement of bolt-cable support is obtained, which shows the pretension forces and the timely installation are important in bolt-cable support. | 19 | Classification and 3-D distribution of upper layer water masses in the northern South China Sea显示文摘Using the fuzzy cluster analysis and the temperature-salinity(T-S) similarity number analysis of cruise conductivity-temperature-depth(CTD) data in the upper layer(0–300 m) of the northern South China Sea(NSCS), we classify the upper layer water of the NSCS into six water masses: diluted water(D), surface water(SS),the SCS subsurface water mass(U_S), the Pacific Ocean subsurface water mass(U_P), surface-subsurface mixed water(SU) and subsurface-intermediate mixed water(UI). A new stacked stereogram is used to illustrate the water mass distribution, and to examine the source and the distribution of U_P, combining with the sea surface height data and geostrophic current field. The results show that water mass U_P exists in all four seasons with the maximum range in spring and the minimum range in summer. In spring and winter, the U_P intrudes into the Luzon Strait and the southwest of Taiwan Island via the northern Luzon Strait in the form of nonlinear Rossby eddies, and forms a high temperature and high salinity zone east of the Dongsha Islands. In summer, the U_P is sporadically distributed in the study area. Allowing the adversary to access to both encryption oracle and ciphertext verification oracle,the new notion IND-CVA is slightly stronger than IND-CPA(indistinguishability under chosen-plaintext attacks) but much weaker than IND-CCA(indistinguishability under chosen-ciphertext attacks) ,and can be satisfied by most of the popular symmetric encryption schemes such as OTP(one-time-pad) ,CBC(cipher block chaining) and CTR(counter) . An MAC(message authentication scheme) is usually combined with an encryption to guarantee secure communication(e.g. SSH,SSL and IPSec) .
