2Laser additive manufacturing of zinc:formation quality,texture,and cell behavior显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)makes it possible for biodegradable zinc(Zn)to be used to produce customized orthopedic implants.In this research,we investigate the impact of laser power and scanning speed on the development of surface quality,relative densification,and texture during LPBF of Zn implants.Increasing laser power was able to decrease melt viscosity and surface tension,which improved the metallurgical bonding between adjacent tracks.Uneven and twisted tracks also became continuous and straight.Scanning speed could controlmolten-pool temperature to restrain grain natural orientation,achieving various crystal orientations and a weakened texture.Importantly,it further avoided the thermal expansion and contraction caused by excessive energy storage and accumulation in the matrix,thus reducing the generation of high-dislocation density.As a result,by selecting a reasonable laser power and scanning speed,the LPBF parts exhibited a flat surface morphology and a high density over 99.5%.Their average hardness,mechanical strength,and elongation reached 50.2 HV,127.8 MPa,and 7.6%,respectively.Additionally,the parts displayed a moderate degradation rate and excellent osteogenic properties.All these results provide a basis for selecting process parameters to optimize the comprehensive properties of LPBF-processed Zn parts for biodegradable applications.Mingli Yang Liuyimei Yang Shuping Peng Fang Deng Yageng Li Youwen Yang Cijun Shuai 2023Bio-Design and Manufacturing2023,6,2:1

7Synthesis of γ-Fe_2O_3/SiO_2/Au magnetic composites for immobilization of bovine serum albumin显示文摘A method for the two-step synthesis of magnetic composites with a γ-Fe 2 O 3 core, silica inner layer and numerous gold nanoparticles supported on the surface of the silica (γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Au) is described. First, thiol-functionalized γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 composites and gold colloids are prepared by modifying γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 composites with mercaptosilane and reduction of Au 3+ to Au 0 with citrate, respectively. Gold nanoparticles are then assembled on the surface of the thiol-functionalized γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 composites to form γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Au composites. The structure of the composite particles is confirmed by transmission electronic microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. 9Impact of preoperative therapy on surgical outcomes of laparoscopic total gastrectomy for gastric/gastroesophageal junction cancer显示文摘Objective: As laparoscopic surgery is widely applied for primarily treated gastric cancer(GC)/gastroesophageal junction cancer(GEJC) and gains many advantages, the feasibility of laparoscopic total gastrectomy(LTG) for GC/GEJC patients who have received preoperative therapy(PT) has come to the fore. This study aims to analyze the safety and feasibility of LTG after PT for GC/GEJC patients.Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 511 patients with GC/GEJC undergoing LTG, of which 405received LTG(LTG group) and 106 received PT+LTG(PT-LTG group) at Nanfang Hospital between June 2018and September 2022. The surgical outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results: The surgical duration was significantly longer in the PT-LTG group(P<0.001), while the incidence of intraoperative complications(P=1.000), postoperative complications(LTG group vs. PT-LTG group: 26.2% vs.23.6%, P=0.587), the classification of complication severity(P=0.271), and postoperative recovery was similar between two groups. Notably, the incidence of anastomotic complications of esophagojejunostomy was also comparable between the two groups(LTG group vs. PT-LTG group: 5.9% vs. 5.7%, P=0.918). The univariate and multivariate analysis confirmed that positive proximal margin [positive vs. negative: odds ratio(OR)=14.094, 95%confidence interval(95% CI): 2.639-75.260, P=0.002], rather than PT, has an impact on anastomotic complications after LTG(OR=0.945, 95% CI: 0.371-2.408, P=0.905).Conclusions: PT did not increase the surgical risk of LTG for GC/GEJC. 11Broadband impedance spectrum detection of buffer layer defects in 110 kV crosslinked polyethylene cable with corrugated aluminium sheath显示文摘The buffer layer defects of high‐voltage crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE)cable occur frequently,which makes the detection method become the focus to be studied.Here,the broadband impedance detection technology for the buffer layer defects of high‐voltage XLPE cables with corrugated aluminium sheath is investigated.There are nine cable samples,including new and defective ones.Some of the defective cables are artificial,and the other is retired cables.The influence of wiring mode,the circumferential relative position of electrodes,cable length,artificial white powder,artificial damp,and retired defective cables on the impedance spectrum is studied.It is found that the wiring mode of the insulation shield/aluminium sheath at the end of the cable can effectively detect the buffer layer defects.And the broadband impedance amplitude spectrum of the buffer layer in defective cable,measuring at various circumferential relative positions,is obviously different.When there are white powders,air gaps,or ablation in the buffer layer,the broadband impedance spectrum(BIS)will increase by several times.When the buffer layer is damped,the BIS will reduce.The research here provides theoretical support and technical methods for the buffer layer defects of XLPE cable with corrugated aluminium sheath.Yanpeng Hao Peng Zhao Baojun Hui Yanting Cheng Wenbo Zhu Mingli Fu Xiaodong Li 2023High Voltage2023,8,5:0
12Ultrasensitive determination of mercury by solution anode glow discharge atomic emission spectrometry coupled with hydride generation显示文摘An innovative method for the ultrasensitive detection of mercury by solution anode glow discharge atomic emission spectroscopy(SAGD-AES) coupled with hydride generation(HG) was first investigated.In this method,the mercury vapor generated by the HG was transmitted to the SAGD through the miniature hollow tungsten tube for excitation and detected by a miniaturized spectrograph.A thorough parametric evaluation of the HG and SAGD system was performed,including the type and concentration of ca rrier acid,He flow rate,concentrations of NaBH4,discha rge current and discharge gap.Under optimal operating conditions,the detection limit for Hg^(2+) achieved 0.03 μg/L,with a relative standard deviation of 1.1% at the Hg^(2+) concentration of 5 μg/L.Moreover,the correlation coefficient of the calibration curve was 0.9996 in the range between 0.1 and 10 μg/L.The accuracy and practicability of HG-SAGD-AES were verified by measuring GBW09101 b(human hair),GBW10029(fish),soil and rice samples.The results showed good agreement with the certified values and values from direct mercury analyzer(DMA).Mingli Yuan Xiaoxu Peng Fen Ge Mingyue Zhao Qing Li Zheng Wang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:0
13Passive optimization of pump noise transfer function by narrow band-pass filtering in femtosecond fiber lasers显示文摘Fluctuation of pump power is one of the major sources of temporal and intensity noise in femtosecond fiber lasers.In this work,the transfer functions between the relative intensity noise(RIN)of the pump laser diode(LD)and the output RIN,between the RIN of the pump LD and timing jitter of femtosecond fiber lasers are systematically studied.It is demonstrated,for the first time to our knowledge,that the amplitude of the pump RIN transfer function can be effectively decreased by an intra-cavity narrow band-pass filter.In particular,for normal-dispersion lasers,the 3-d B bandwidth of the transfer function can also be narrowed by two-thirds,with a steeper falling edge.Furthermore,with the narrow band-pass filtering,the transfer function is almost independent of the net intra-cavity dispersion due to amplifier similariton formation.The proposed scheme can effectively isolate the pump-induced noise without the need of complex active pump LD control and intra-cavity dispersion management,thus providing an easy way for practical high-power,high-stability femtosecond fiber laser design and related high-precision applications outside the laboratory.Peng Qin Sijia Wang Minglie Hu Youjian Song 2019High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,3:0

15Weakened humoral and cellular immune response to the inactivated COVID-19 vaccines in Chinese individuals with obesity/overweight显示文摘Inactivated COVID-19 vaccines have been widely used to vaccinate the Chinese population.However,limited literature exists to explore the effect of obesity on the humoral and cellular immune response to these vaccines.In this study,132 high BMI(Body mass index)(obesity and overweight,BMI≥24 kg/m^(2))and 82 normal BMI(BMI<24 kg/m^(2))participants were enrolled.Adverse events(AEs),Spike receptor-binding domain IgG antibody(anti-RBD-IgG),neutralizing antibodies(NAbs),and specific B-cell and T-cell responses were evaluated 21–105 days after full-course inactivated COVID-19 vaccination.The overall incidence of AEs was similar in individuals with and without obesity/overweight.No serious vaccine-related AEs occurred.Individuals with obesity/overweight had a reduced seropositivity rate of NAbs compared to those with normal BMI.Anti-RBD-IgG and NAbs titers in the high BMI group were significantly lower than those in the normal BMI group.The frequencies of RBD-specific memory B cells(MBCs)and the numbers of spike-specific TNF-α+spot-forming cells(SFCs)in individuals with obesity/overweight were reduced compared with those noted in individuals without obesity/overweight.A similar trend of weakened humoral responses was also observed in individuals with central obesity.Our study results suggested that inactivated COVID-19 vaccines were safe and well tolerated but induced poor humoral and cellular immune responses in Chinese individuals with obesity/overweight.Qian Zhu Yingzhi Zhang Juan Kang Zhiwei Chen Mingli Peng Min Chen Gaoli Zhang Dejuan Xiang Shuang Xiao Hu Li Ying Mei Jie Yang Xiaoya Qi Dachuan Cai Hong Ren 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,2:0

17Effects of Zr substitution on soot combustion over cubic fluorite-structured nanoceria:Soot-ceria contact and interfacial oxygen evolution显示文摘Ceria is widely used as a catalyst for soot combustion,but effects of Zr substitution on the reaction mechanism is ambiguous.The present work elucidates effects of Zr substitution on soot combustion over cubic fluorite-structured nanoceria.The nanostructured CeO_(2),Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2),and Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.16)O_(2)composed of 5-6 nm crystallites display T_(m-CO2)(the temperature at maximum CO_2 yield)at 383,355,and 375℃under 10 vol.%O_(2)/N_(2),respectively.The size of agglomerate decreases from 165.5 to 51.9-57.3 nm,which is beneficial for the sootceria contact.Moreover,Zr increases the amount of surface oxygen vacancies,generating more active oxygen(O_(2)^-and O^(-))for soot oxidation.Thus,the activities of Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2)and Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.16)O_(2)in soot combustion are better than that of CeO_(2).Although oxygen vacancies promote the migration of lattice O~(2-),the enriched surface Zr also inhibits the mobility of lattice O^(2-).Therefore,the T_(m-CO2)of Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.1)6 O_(2)is higher than that of Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2).Based on reaction kinetic study,soot in direct contact with ceria preferentially decomposes with low activation energy,while the oxidation of isolated soot occurs through diffusion with high activation energy.The obtained findings provide new understanding on the soot combustion over nanoceria.Peng Liu Xiaoliang Liang Yanliu Dang Junkai He Alireza Shirazi-Amin Laura A.Achola Shanka Dissanayake Hanlin Chen Mingli Fu Daiqi Ye Steven L.Suib 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:0
