32018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 5Relationship Between Grain Yield and Yield Components in Super Hybrid Rice显示文摘Chinese super hybrid rice breeding project has developed many new varieties with great yield potential. It is controversial which yield component should be emphasized in super hybrid rice production. The present study was conducted to compare super hybrid rice with common hybrid and super inbred rice and analyze contributions of yield components to grain yield of super hybrid rice under experimental conditions, and evaluate relationships between grain yield and yield components of super hybrid rice in farmer’s paddy fields. Field experiments were done in Changsha, Guidong, and Nanxian, Hunan Province, China, from 2007 to 2009. Eight super hybrid varieties, one common hybrid variety, and one super inbred variety were grown in each location and year. Rice production investigation was undertaken in high-yielding (Guidong), moderate-yielding (Nanxian), and low-yielding (Ningxiang) regions of Hunan Province, China, in 2009. Grain yield and yield components were measured in both the field experiments and rice production investigation. Super hybrid rice varieties outyielded common hybrid and super inbred varieties across three locations and years. Yield potential has been increased by 11.4% in super hybrid rice varieties compared with common and super inbred varieties. The higher yield of super hybrid varieties was attributed to improvement in panicle size. Panicles per m2 had the highest positive contribution to grain yield with the exception under yield level of 10.0 to 12.0 t ha-1, and was positively related to grain yield in farmer’s field at all of the high-, moderate-, and low-yielding regions. 7Changes in the level of serum liver enzymes after laparoscopic surgery显示文摘AIM: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectof laparoscopic surgery on liver function in humans and thepossible mechanisms behind such effect.METHODS: Blood samples from 286 patients whounderwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and 40patients who underwent open cholecystectomy (OC) weretested for liver function by measuring the level of serumalanine aminotrasferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotrasferase(AST) before and after the operations. The same tests werealso applied to 18 laparoscopic colorectal cancer resection(LCR) patients and 23 open colorectal cancer resection (OCR)patients to determine whether CO2 pneumoperitoneum couldalter the serum liver enzymes.RESULTS: The level of serum ALT and AST increasedsignificantly during the first 48 hours post operations in bothLC and LCR patients. However, no significant change of theserum liver enzymes was detected in both OC and OCRpatients. As a result, there was statistically significantdifference in change of both ALT and AST levels betweenLC and OC patients and LCR and OCR patients, respectively.By the 7th day post operation, the level of both enzymesreturned to normal values in LC, OC and OCR patients exceptLCR patients whose enzymes remained at a higher level.CONCLUSION: Transient elevation of hepatic transaminasesoccurred after laparoscopic surgery. The major causativefactor seemed to be the CO2 pneumoperitoneum. In mostof the laparoscopic surgery patients, the transient elevationof serum liver enzymes showed no apparent clinicalimplications. 9Targeting ERK,an Achilles' Heel of the MAPK pathway,in cancer therapy显示文摘The mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK) pathway, often known as the RAS-RAFMEK-ERK signal cascade, functions to transmit upstream signals to its downstream effectors to regulate physiological process such as cell proliferation, differentiation, survival and death. As the most frequently mutated signaling pathway in human cancer, targeting the MAPK pathway has long been considered a promising strategy for cancer therapy. Substantial efforts in the past decades have led to the clinical success of BRAF and MEK inhibitors. However, the clinical benefits of these inhibitors are compromised by the frequently occurring acquired resistance due to cancer heterogeneity and genomic instability. This review briefly introduces the key protein kinases involved in this pathway as well as their activation mechanisms. We also generalize the correlations between mutations of MAPK members and human cancers, followed by a summarization of progress made on the development of small molecule MAPK kinases inhibitors. 11Autotrophic denitrification for nitrate and nitrite removal using sulfur-limestone显示文摘Sulfur-limestone was used in the autotrophic denitrification process to remove the nitrate and nitrite in a lab scale upflow biofilter.Synthetic water with four levels of nitrate and nitrite concentrations of 10,40,70 and 100 mg N/L was tested.When treating the low concentration of nitrate-or nitrite-contaminated water(10,40 mg N/L),a high removal rate of about 90% was achieved at the hydraulic retention time(HRT) of 3 hr and temperature of 20-25°C.At the same HRT,50% of the nitrate or nitrite could be removed even at the low temperature of 5-10°C.For the higher concentration nitrate and nitrite(70,100 mg N/L),longer HRT was required.The batch test indicated that influent concentration,HRT and temperature are important factors afiecting the denitrification eficiency.Molecular analysis implied that nitrate and nitrite were denitrified into nitrogen by the same microorganisms.The sequential two-step-reactions from nitrate to nitrite and from nitrite to the next-step product might have taken place in the same cell during the autotrophic denitrification process.Weili Zhou Yejue Sun Bingtao Wu Yue Zhang Min Huang Toshiaki Miyanaga Zhenjia Zhang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:34
12The abnormal expression of retinoic acid receptor-β,p53 and Ki67 protein,n normal,premalignant and malignant esophageal tissues显示文摘AIM: Esophageal cancer remains a significant healthiproblem worldwide. It is important to investigate alterationsin expression of retinoic acid receptor-β, p53 and Ki67proteins in esophageal carcinogenesis.METHODS: To find biomarkers for early identification ofesophageal cancer, we analyzed the retinoic acid receptor-j3,p53 protein and the proliferation marker Ki67 in surgicalspecimens of normal, mildly, and severely dysplastic andmalignant esophageal tissues by in situ hybridization ofRNA and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: RAR-β was expressed in 94.3 %(33/35) of normalmucosae, 67.8 %(19/28) of the mild, 58.1% (18/31) of thesevere ieaions and 53.2 % (116/218) of tumor samples. RAR-β mRNA was expressed in 62.7 % (42/67), 55.1% (43/78) and29.2 % (7/24) of well, moderated and poorly differentiatedSSCs. The p53 and Ki67 proteins were 5.9 % (2/34) of thenormal mucosa. P53 and Ki67 stained positively in 10.7 % (3/28) and 21.4 % (6/28) of mild dysplasia, and 51.6 %(16/31)and 58. 1% (18/31) of severely dysplasia respectively.Samples from esophageal cancer showed no higher levers ofp53 and Ki67 expression than seen in severely dysplasticlesions. 14Endoscopic submucosal dissection vs endoscopic mucosal resection for superficial esophageal cancer显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effectiveness of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)and endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)in treating superficial esophageal cancer(SEC).METHODS:Studies investigating the safety and efficacy of ESD and EMR for SEC were searched from the databases of Pubmed,Web of Science,EMBASE and the Cochrane Library.Primary end points included the en bloc resection rate and the curative resection rate.Secondary end points included operative time,rates of perforation,postoperative esophageal stricture,bleeding and local recurrence.The random-effect model and the fixed-effect model were used for statistical analysis.RESULTS:Eight studies were identified and included in the meta-analysis.As shown by the pooled analysis,ESD had significantly higher en bloc and curative resection rates than EMR.Local recurrence rate in the ESD group was remarkably lower than that in the EMR group.However,operative time and perforation rate for ESD were significantly higher than those for EMR.As for the rate of postoperative esophageal stricture and procedure-related bleeding,no significant difference was found between the two techniques.CONCLUSION:ESD seems superior to EMR in the treatment of SEC as evidenced by significantly higher en bloc and curative resection rates and by obviously lower local recurrence rate.Hui-Min Guo Xiao-Qi Zhang Min Chen Shu-Ling Huang Xiao-Ping Zou 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,18:30
15Source apportionment and secondary organic aerosol estimation of PM_(2.5) in an urban atmosphere in China显示文摘PM2.5 is the key pollutant in atmospheric pollution in China.With new national air quality standards taking effect,PM2.5 has become a major issue for future pollution control.To effectively prevent and control PM2.5,its emission sources must be precisely and thoroughly understood.However,there are few publications reporting comprehensive and systematic results of PM2.5 source apportionment in the country.Based on PM2.5 sampling during 2009 in Shenzhen and follow-up investigation,positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis has been carried out to understand the major sources and their temporal and spatial variations.The results show that in urban Shenzhen(University Town site),annual mean PM2.5 concentration was 42.2μg m?3,with secondary sulfate,vehicular emission,biomass burning and secondary nitrate as major sources;these contributed30.0%,26.9%,9.8%and 9.3%to total PM2.5,respectively.Other sources included high chloride,heavy oil combustion,sea salt,dust and the metallurgical industry,with contributions between 2%–4%.Spatiotemporal variations of various sources show that vehicular emission was mainly a local source,whereas secondary sulfate and biomass burning were mostly regional.Secondary nitrate had both local and regional sources.Identification of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)has always been difficult in aerosol source apportionment.In this study,the PMF model and organic carbon/elemental carbon(OC/EC)ratio method were combined to estimate SOA in PM2.5.The results show that in urban Shenzhen,annual SOA mass concentration was 7.5μg m?3,accounting for 57%of total organic matter,with precursors emitted from vehicles as the major source.This work can serve as a case study for further in-depth research on PM2.5 pollution and source apportionment in China.HUANG XiaoFeng YUN Hui GONG ZhaoHeng LI Xiang HE LingYan ZHANG YuanHang HU Min 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,6:28
16Orbit determination of Chang'E-3 and positioning of the lander and the rover显示文摘Chang’E-3 landed on the east of Sinus Iridum area on December 14,2013,performing China’s first successful soft landing on the lunar surface.We present the results on precision orbit determination and positioning of the lander and the rover.We describe the data,modeling,and methods used to achieve position knowledge over the period December 2–21,2014.In addition to the radiometric X-band range and Doppler tracking data,delta differential one-way ranging data are also used in the calculation,which show that they strongly improve the accuracy of the orbit reconstruction.Total position overlap differences are about 20 and 30 m for the 100 km 9 100 km and100 km9 15 km lunar orbit,respectively,increased by*50%with respect to CE-2 and at the same level as other lunar spacecrafts of recent era such as SELENE and lunar reconnaissance orbiter(LRO).The position error of the soft landing trajectory is less than 100 m.A kinematic statistical method is applied to determine the position of the lander and relative position of the rover with respect to the lander.The position difference of the lander is better than50 m compared to LRO photograph result.Compared with the delta very long baseline interferometry(VLBI)group delay between the lander and the rover,the delta VLBI phase delay can improve the relative position of the rover from*1,000 to*1 m.Yong Huang Shengqi Chang Peijia Li Xiaogong Hu Guangli Wang Qinghui Liu Weimin Zheng Min Fan 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,29:28
17Expenditure and financial burden for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer in China:a hospital.based,multicenter,cross-sectional survey显示文摘Background: The increasing prevalence of colorectal cancer(CRC) in China and the paucity of information about relevant expenditure highlight the necessity of better understanding the financial burden and effect of CRC diagnosis and treatment. We performed a survey to quantify the direct medical and non-medical expenditure as well as the resulting financial burden of CRC patients in China.Methods: We conducted a multicenter, cross-sectional survey in 37 tertiary hospitals in 13 provinces across China between 2012 and 2014. Each enrolled patient was interviewed using a structured questionnaire. All expenditure data were inflated to the 2014 Chinese Yuan(CNY; 1 CNY = 0.163 USD). We quantified the overall expenditure and financial burden and by subgroup(hospital type, age at diagnosis, sex, education, occupation, insurance type, household income, clinical stage, pathologic type, and therapeutic regimen). We then performed generalized linear modeling to determine the factors associated with overall expenditure.Results: A total of 2356 patients with a mean age of 57.4 years were included, 57.1 % of whom were men; 13.9% of patients had stage I cancer; and the average previous-year household income was 54,525 CNY.The overall average direct expenditure per patient was estimated to be 67,408 CNY, and the expenditures for stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ disease were 56,099 CNY, 59,952 CNY, 67,292 CNY, and 82,729 CNY, respectively. Non-medical expenditure accounted for 8.3%of the overall expenditure. The 1-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 32,649 CNY, which accounted for 59.9% of their previous-year household income and caused 75.0% of families to suffer an unmanageable financial burden. Univariate analysis showed that financial burden and overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P < 0.05), except for sex. Multivariate analysis showed that patients who were treated in specialized hospitals and those who were diagnosed with adenocarcinoma or diagnosed at a later stage were likely to spend more,whereas those with a lower household income and those who underwent surgery spent less(all P < 0.05).Conclusions: For patients in China, direct expenditure for the diagnosis and treatment of CRC seemed catastrophic,and non-medical expenditure was non-ignorable. 19Effect of heavy metals on soil microbial activity and diversity in a reclaimed mining wasteland of red soil area显示文摘The microbial biomass, basal respiration and substrate utilization pattern in copper mining wasteland of red soil area, southern China, were investigated. The results indicated that soil microflora were obviously different compared with that of the non-mine soil. Microbial biomass and basal respiration were negatively affected by the elevated heavy metal levels. Two important microbial ecophysiological parameters, namely, the ratio of microbial biomass C(C mic)/organic C(C org) and metabolic quotient(qCO2) were closely correlated to heavy metal stress. There was a significant decrease in the C mic/C org ratio and an increase in the metabolic quotient with increasing metal concentration. Multivariate analysis of Biolog data for sole carbon source utilization pattern demonstrated that heavy metal pollution had a significant impact on microbial community structure and functional diversity. 20FEM Analysis of Spring-backs in Age Forming of Aluminum Alloy Plates显示文摘The age forming technology, characterized by huge spring-backs, has been developed to manufacture large integral wing-skin panel parts, which necessitates devising a method of predicting spring-backs. A 7B04-T7451 aluminum alloy creep test in tension is accomplished at 155 °C, and the creep curves are obtained. The material constants of the mechanism-based creep constitutive equations are determined through experiments. The age forming process and the spring-backs of 7B04 aluminum alloy plates are analyzed using the commercial finite element software ABAQUS. The effects of plate thickness and forming time on spring-backs are researched. The spring-backs decrease with the increase of plate thickness and forming time.
