The hydrothermal karstification and its effect on Ordovician carbonate reservoir in Tazhong uplift of Tarim Basin, Northwest China显示文摘With a detailed study on petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry of some important Ordovician carbonate well core samples in Tazhong uplift of Tarim Basin, the distinguishing symbols of hydrothermal karstification are first put forward as the phenomena of rock hot depigmentation, hot cataclasm and the appearance of typical hydrothermal minerals such as fluorite, barite, pyrite, quartz and sphalerite. The main homogenization temperatures of primary fluid inclusions in fluorite are from 260 to 310℃, indicating the temperature of hydrothermal fluid. The fluid affected the dissolved rocks and showed typical geochemistry features with low contents of Na and Mg, and high contents of Fe, Mn and Si. The ratio of 3He/4He is 0.02Ra, indicating the fluid from the typical continental crust. The hydrothermal fluid karstification pattern may be described as follows: the hot fluid is from the Permian magma, containing dissolving ingredients of CO2 and H2S, and shifts along fault, ruptures and unconformity, and dissolves the surrounding carbonates while it flows. The mechanism of hydrothermal karstification is that the mixture of two or more fluids, which have different ion intensity and pH values, becomes a new unsaturated fluid to carbonates. The hydrothermal karstification is an important process to form hypo-dissolved pinholes in Ordovician carbonates of Tazhong uplift of Tarim Basin, and the forming of hydrothermal minerals also has favorable influence on carbonate reservoirs. | WU MaoBing WANG Yi ZHENG MengLin ZHANG WeiBiao LIU ChunYan | 2007 | Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2: | 7
A modified domain reduction method for numerical simulation of wave propagation in localized regions显示文摘A modified domain reduction method(MDRM) that introduces damping terms to the original DRM is presented in this paper. To verify the proposed MDRM and compare the computational accuracy of these two methods, a numerical test is designed. The numerical results of the MDRM and DRM are compared using an extended meshed model. The results show that the MDRM significantly improved the computational accuracy of the DRM. Then, the MDRM is compared with two existing conventional methods, namely Liao's transmitting boundary and viscous-spring boundary with Liu's method. The MDRM shows its great advancement in computational accuracy, stability and range of applications. This paper also discusses the influence of boundary location on computational accuracy. It can be concluded that smaller models tend to have larger errors. By introducing two dimensionless parameters, φ_1 and φ_2, the rational distance between the observation point and the MDRM boundary is suggested. When φ_1 >2 or φ_2>13, the relative PGA error can be limited to 5%. In practice, the appropriate model size can be chosen based on these two parameters to achieve desired computational accuracy. | Luo Chao Lou Menglin Gui Guoqing Wang Hao | 2019 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,1: | 4
The characterization of auditory brainstem response(ABR) waveforms: A study in tree shrews(Tupaia belangeri)显示文摘To characterize the patterns of ABR waves in tree shrews, we must understand the hearing sensitivity and auditory function of healthy adult tree shrews. Fifteen tree shrews(30 ears) were stimulated with clicks and tone-pips at 11 different frequencies from 1 to 60 kHz. The ABR waves were recorded and analyzed. The ABR consisted of five to seven positive waves in the first 10 ms after a click stimulus, and the average hearing threshold of component III was 27.86 ± 3.78 dB SPL. Wave III was the largest and most clear. The ABR threshold was related to the tone-pip sitmulus by a 'U' shaped curve. The sensitive frequency was approximately 8 kHz in tree shrews. The latencies systematically decreased with increasing stimulus frequencies. The ABR amplitudes of wave III increased as the sound pressure level increased. All of these results provide an empirical basis for future studies of hearing diseases in tree shrews. | Lihong Xie Menglin Wang Ting Liao Songhua Tan Kai Sun Heng Li Qin Fang Anzhou Tang | 2018 | Journal of Otology2018,13,3: | 4

Searching for the Nano-Hertz Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background with the Chinese Pulsar Timing Array Data ReleaseⅠ显示文摘Observing and timing a group of millisecond pulsars with high rotational stability enables the direct detection of gravitational waves(GWs).The GW signals can be identified from the spatial correlations encoded in the times-of-arrival of widely spaced pulsar-pairs.The Chinese Pulsar Timing Array(CPTA)is a collaboration aiming at the direct GW detection with observations carried out using Chinese radio telescopes. This short article serves as a“table of contents”for a forthcoming series of papers related to the CPTA Data Release 1(CPTA DR1)which uses observations from the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. Here, after summarizing the time span and accuracy of CPTA DR1,we report the key results of our statistical inference finding a correlated signal with amplitude logA_(c)=-14.4_(-2.8)^(+1.0)for spectral index in the range ofα∈[-1.8,1.5]assuming a GW background(GWB)induced quadrupolar correlation. The search for the Hellings–Downs(HD)correlation curve is also presented, where some evidence for the HD correlation has been found that a 4.6σstatistical significance is achieved using the discrete frequency method around the frequency of 14 n Hz.We expect that the future International Pulsar Timing Array data analysis and the next CPTA data release will be more sensitive to the n Hz GWB,which could verify the current results. | Heng Xu Siyuan Chen Yanjun Guo Jinchen Jiang Bojun Wang Jiangwei Xu Zihan Xue RNicolas Caballero Jianping Yuan Yonghua Xu Jingbo Wang Longfei Hao Jingtao Luo Kejia Lee Jinlin Han Peng Jiang Zhiqiang Shen Min Wang Na Wang Renxin Xu Xiangping Wu Richard Manchester Lei Qian Xin Guan Menglin Huang Chun Sun Yan Zhu | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,7: | 3
DASP: Defect and Dopant ab-initio Simulation Package显示文摘In order to perform automated calculations of defect and dopant properties in semiconductors and insulators, we developed a software package, the Defect and Dopant ab-initio Simulation Package(DASP), which is composed of four modules for calculating:(ⅰ) elemental chemical potentials,(ⅱ) defect(dopant) formation energies and charge-state transition levels,(ⅲ) defect and carrier densities and(ⅳ) carrier dynamics properties of high-density defects. DASP uses the materials genome database for quick determination of competing secondary phases when calculating the elemental chemical potential that stabilizes compound semiconductors. DASP calls the ab-initio software to perform the total energy, structural relaxation and electronic structure calculations of the defect supercells with different charge states, based on which the defect formation energies and charge-state transition levels are calculated. Then DASP can calculate the equilibrium densities of defects and electron and hole carriers as well as the Fermi level in semiconductors under different chemical potential conditions and growth/working temperature. For high-density defects, DASP can calculate the carrier dynamics properties such as the photoluminescence(PL) spectrum and carrier capture cross sections which can interpret the deep level transient spectroscopy(DLTS). Here we will show three application examples of DASP in studying the undoped GaN, C-doped GaN and quasi-one-dimensional SbSeI. | Menglin Huang Zhengneng Zheng Zhenxing Dai Xinjing Guo Shanshan Wang Lilai Jiang Jinchen Wei Shiyou Chen | 2022 | Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,4: | 3
Integrated single-cell RNA sequencing analysis reveals distinct cellular and transcriptional modules associated with survival in lung cancer显示文摘Lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)and squamous carcinoma(LUSC)are two major subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer with distinct pathologic features and treatment paradigms. The heterogeneity can be attributed to genetic, transcriptional, and epigenetic parameters. Here,we established a multi-omics atlas, integrating 52 single-cell RNA sequencing and 2342 public bulk RNA sequencing. We investigated their differences in genetic amplification, cellular compositions, and expression modules. We revealed that LUAD and LUSC contained amplifications occurring selectively in subclusters of AT2 and basal cells, and had distinct cellular composition modules associated with poor survival of lung cancer.Malignant and stage-specific gene analyses further uncovered critical transcription factors and genes in tumor progression. Moreover,we identified subclusters with proliferating and differentiating properties in AT2 and basal cells.Overexpression assays of ten genes, including sub-cluster markers AQP5 and KPNA2,further indicated their functional roles, providing potential targets for early diagnosis and treatment in lung cancer. | Li Zhang Yiming Zhang Chengdi Wang Ying Yang Yinyun Ni Zhoufeng Wang Tingting Song Menglin Yao Zhiqiang Liu Ningning Chao Yongfeng Yang Jun Shao Zhidan Li Ran Zhou Li Chen Dan Zhang Yuancun Zhao Wei Liu Yupeng Li Ping He Jing-wen Lin Yuan Wang Kang Zhang Lu Chen Weimin Li | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,2: | 2
A drug-loaded composite coating to improve osteogenic and antibacterial properties of Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds as biodegradable bone implants显示文摘Zinc(Zn)alloy porous scaffolds produced by additive manufacturing own customizable structures and biodegradable functions, having a great application potential for repairing bone defect. In this work,a hydroxyapatite(HA)/polydopamine(PDA)composite coating was constructed on the surface of Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds fabricated by laser powder bed fusion, and was loaded with a bioactive factor BMP2 and an antibacterial drug vancomycin. The microstructure, degradation behavior, biocompatibility, antibacterial performance and osteogenic activities were systematically investigated.Compared with as-built Zn-1Mg scaffolds, the rapid increase of Zn2+,which resulted to the deteriorated cell viability and osteogenic differentiation, was inhibited due to the physical barrier of the composite coating. In vitro cellular and bacterial assay indicated that the loaded BMP2 and vancomycin considerably enhanced the cytocompatibility and antibacterial performance.Significantly improved osteogenic and antibacterial functions were also observed according to in vivo implantation in the lateral femoral condyle of rats. The design, influence and mechanism of the composite coating were discussed accordingly. It was concluded that the additively manufactured Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds together with the composite coating could modulate biodegradable performance and contribute to effective promotion of bone recovery and antibacterial function. | Zhenbao Zhang Aobo Liu Jiadong Fan Menglin Wang Jiabao Dai Xiang Jin Huanze Deng Xuan Wang Yijie Liang Haixia Li Yantao Zhao Peng Wen Yanfeng Li | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,9: | 2
Revealing the crystallization process and realizing uniform 1.8 eV MA-based wide-bandgap mixed-halide perovskites via solution engineering显示文摘Wide-bandgap perovskites are recently drawing tremendous attention in the community for high-efficiency all-perovskite tandem solar cells. However, the formamidinium (FA^+) and methylammonium (MA^+) based wide-bandgap mixed halide perovskites suffered from high density of traps and pin-holes,respectively.Fundamental understanding on the crystallization and film formation processes are keys to overcome those challenges but not yet clearly understood. In this study,an in-situ photoluminescence technique was used to investigate the perovskite crystallization during the thermal annealing process. It is found that the crystallization of a mixed halide perovskite with bromide (Br^-) and iodine (I^-) ions following the Ostward ripening crystal growth.Interestingly,it is found that the initial nucleation reaction is quickly completed in the first few seconds, however, leaving the small crystals with inhomogeneous composition. The different aggregation affinities of such inhomogeneous small crystals provoke the formation of pin-holes during the thermal annealing process.By engineering the precursor solution to control the nucleation rate, the chemical composition of the small crystals has become homogenous.Uniform pin-hole free high Br-composited wide-bandgap MA0.9Cs0.1Pb(I0.6Br0.4)3 perovskite films with bandgap energy of 1.8 eV have been realized. The corresponding photovoltaic devices have achieved an encouraging device efficiency of 15.1% with superb photostability. | Yue-Min Xie Chunqing Ma Xiuwen Xu Menglin Li Yuhui Ma Jing Wang Hrisheekesh Thachoth Chandran Chun-Sing Lee Sai-Wing Tsang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,5: | 2
Preparation of ZrB_(2)-MoSi_(2) high oxygen resistant coating using nonequilibrium state powders by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis显示文摘To achieve high oxygen blocking structure of the ZrB_(2)-MoSi_(2) coating applied on carbon structural material,ZrB_(2)-MoSi_(2) coating was prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS)method utilizing ZrB_(2)-MoSi_(2) composite powders synthesized by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis(SHS)technique as raw materials. The oxygen blocking mechanism of the ZrB_(2)-MoSi_(2) coatings at 1973 K was investigated.Compared with commercial powders, the coatings prepared by SHS powders exhibited superior density and inferior oxidation activity, which significantly heightened the structural oxygen blocking ability of the coatings in the active oxidation stage, thus characterizing higher oxidation protection efficiency. The rise of MoSi_(2) content facilitated the dispersion of transition metal oxide nanocrystals(5-20 nm)in the SiO_(2) glass layer and conduced to the increasing viscosity, thus strengthening the inerting impact of the compound glass layer in the inert oxidation stage.Nevertheless, the ZrB_(2)-40 vol% MoSi_(2) coating sample prepared by SHS powders presented the lowest oxygen permeability of 0.3% and carbon loss rate of 0.29×10^(6)g·cm^(-2)·s^(-1).Owing to the gradient oxygen partial pressure inside the coatings, the Si-depleted layer was developed under the compound glass layer, which brought about acute oxygen erosion. | Menglin ZHANG Xuanru REN Mingcheng ZHANG Songsong WANG Li WANG Qingqing YANG Hongao CHU Peizhong FENG | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,5: | 2

Adaptive Bidirectional Droop Control for Electric Vehicles Parking with Vehicle-to-grid Service in Microgrid显示文摘With the popularity of electric vehicles(EVs),a large number of EVs will become a burden to the future grid with arbitrary charging management. It is of vital significance to the control of the EVs charging and discharging state appropriately to enable the EVs to become friendly to the grid. Therefore, considering the potential for EVs seen as energy storage devices, this paper proposes a multiport DC-DC solid state transformer topology for bidirectional photovoltaic/battery-assisted EV parking lot with vehicle-to-grid service(V2G-PVBP).Relying on the energy storage function of EVs,V2G-PVBP is able to not only satisfy the normal requirements of EVs’owner, but also provide the function of load shifting and load regulation to the microgrid. In this paper,EVs are categorized into limited EV and freedom EV.Limited EVs are always kept in charging state and freedom EVs can take part in the load regulation of the microgrid. The proposed adaptive bidirectional droop control is designed for freedom EVs to make them autonomously charge or discharge with certain power which according to each EV’s state of charge, battery capacity, leaving time, and other factors to maintain the stability of the future microgrid.Eventually, the simulation and experiment of the adaptive bidirectional droop control based V2G-PVBP are provided to prove the availability of V2G-PVBP. | Dehao Qin Qiuye Sun Rui Wang Dazhong Ma Menglin Liu | 2020 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,4: | 2
Evaluation of N-acetylcysteine and glutathione as quenching agents for the analysis of halogenated disinfection by-products显示文摘Disinfection by-products(DBPs), formed from the reactions of disinfectants with natural organic matter and halides in drinking water, were considered to be cytotoxic and genotoxic, and might trigger various cancers. The relatively low concentration of DBPs in finished water(low μg/L or even ng/L levels) and the interference from water matrix inhibited in situ determination of DBPs. Moreover, the further formation and degradation of DBPs by disinfectants during the holding time(several hours to several days) from sample collection to analysis could adversely affect the determination of DBPs. To obtain accurate, precise and reliable data of DBP occurrence and formation, robust and reliable sample preservation is indispensable. However, the commonly used quenching agents(e.g., sodium sulfite, sodium thiosulfate, and ascorbic acid) for sample preservation can decompose reactive DBPs by reductive dehalogenation. This study evaluated the performance of N-acetylcysteine(NAC) and glutathione(GSH) as quenching agents for the analysis of halogenated DBPs by investigating the stoichiometry of the disinfectant-quenching agent reaction, the formation of DBPs during chlor(am)ination of NAC or GSH, and the effects of NAC or GSH on the stability of 18 individual DBPs and total organic halogen(TOX). Based on the results of this study, NAC and GSH were considered to be ideal quenching agents for the analysis of most DBPs and TOX, except halonitromethanes. | Shunke Ding Menglin Wu Rong Xiao Chao Fang Qi Wang Bin Xu Wenhai Chu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,7: | 2

Light induces petal color change in Quisqualis indica(Combretaceae)显示文摘Petal color change, a common phenomenon in angiosperms, is induced by various environmental and endogenous factors. Interestingly, this phenomenon is important for attracting pollinators and further reproductive success. Quisqualis indica L.(Combretaceae) is a tropical Asian climber that undergoes sequential petal color change from white to pink to red. This color changing process is thought to be a good strategy to attract more pollinators. However, the underlying physiological and biochemical mechanisms driving this petal color change phenomenon is still underexplored. In this context, we investigated whether changes in pH, pollination, light, temperature or ethylene mediate petal color change. We found that the detected changes in petal pH were not significant enough to induce color alterations. Additionally, pollination and temperatures of 20-30℃did not alter the rate of petal color change; however, flowers did not open when exposed to constant temperatures at 15℃ or 35℃.Moreover, the application of ethylene inhibitor, i.e., silver thiosulphate, did not prevent color change. It is worth mentioning here that in our study we found light as a strong factor influencing the whole process of petal color change, as petals remained white under dark conditions. Altogether, the present study suggests that petal color change in Q. indica is induced by light and not by changes in petal pH, pollination, ethylene, or temperature, while extremely low or high temperatures affect flower anthesis. In summary, our findings represent the probable mechanism underlying the phenomenon of petal color change, which is important for understanding flower color evolution. | Juan Yan Menglin Wang Ling Zhang | 2018 | Plant Diversity2018,40,1: | 1

Relaxin-encapsulated polymeric metformin nanoparticles remodel tumor immune microenvironment by reducing CAFs for efficient triple-negative breast cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)are one of the most abundant stromal cells in the tumor microenvironment which mediate desmoplastic response and are the primary driver for an immunosuppressive microenvironment, leading to the failure of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)immunotherapy. Therefore, depleting CAFs may enhance the effect of immunotherapy(such as PD-L1 antibody).Relaxin(RLN)has been demonstrated to significantly improve transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)induced CAFs activation and tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment. However, the short half-life and systemic vasodilation of RLN limit its in vivo efficacy. Here, plasmid encoding relaxin(pRLN)to locally express RLN was delivered with a new positively charged polymer named polymeric metformin(PolyMet),which could increase gene transfer efficiency significantly and have low toxicity that have been certified by our lab before. In order to improve the stability of pRLN in vivo, this complex was further formed lipid poly-γ-glutamic acid(PGA)/PolyMetpRLN nanoparticle(LPPR).The particle size of LPPR was 205.5±2.9 nm,and the zeta potential was+55.4±1.6 mV.LPPR displayed excellent tumor penetrating efficacy and weaken proliferation of CAFs in 4T1luc/CAFs tumor spheres in vitro. In vivo,it could reverse aberrantly activated CAFs by decreasing the expression of profibrogenic cytokine and remove the physical barrier to reshape the tumor stromal microenvironment, which enabled a 2.2-fold increase in cytotoxic T cell infiltration within the tumor and a decrease in immunosuppressive cells infiltration. Thus,LPPR was observed retarded tumor growth by itself in the 4T1 tumor bearing-mouse,and the reshaped immune microenvironment further led to facilitate antitumor effect when it combined with PD-L1 antibody(aPD-L1).Altogether,this study presented a novel therapeutic approach against tumor stroma using LPPR to achieve a combination regimen with immune checkpoint blockade therapy against the desmoplastic TNBC model. | Hongyan Zhang Liying Chen Yue Zhao Ningchao Luo Jingbin Shi Shujun Xu Lisha Ma Menglin Wang Mancang Gu Chaofeng Mu Yang Xiong | 2023 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,2: | 1
