| 2 | A Genomic Variation Map Provides Insights into the Genetic Basis of Spring Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)Selection显示文摘Chinese cabbage is the most consumed leafy crop in East Asian countries.However,premature bolting induced by continuous low temperatures severely decreases the yield and quality of the Chinese cabbage, and therefore restricts its planting season and geographic distribution.In the past 40years,spring Chinese cabbage with strong winterness has been selected to meet the market demand.Here,we report a genome variation map of Chinese cabbage generated from the resequencing data of 194 geographically diverse accessions of three ecotypes.In-depth analyses of the selection sweeps and genome-wide patterns revealed that spring Chinese cabbage was selected from a specific population of autumn Chinese cabbage around the area of Shandong peninsula in northern China.We identified 23 genomic loci that underwent intensive selection,and further demonstrated by gene expression and haplotype analyses that the incorporation of elite alleles of VERNALISATION INSENTIVE 3.1(BrVIN3.1)and FLOWER LOCUS C 1(BrFLC1)is a determinant genetic source of variation during selection.Moreover,we showed that the quantitative response of BrVIN3.1 to cold due to the sequence variations in the cis elements of the BrVlN3.1 promoter significantly contributes to bolting-time variation in Chinese cabbage.Collectively, our study provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of spring Chinese cabbage selection and will facilitate the breeding of bolting-resistant Varieties by molecular-marker-assisted selection,transgenic or gene editingapproaches. | Tongbing Su Weihong Wang Peirong Li Bin Zhang Pan Li Xiaoyun Xin Honghe Sun Yangjun Yu Deshuang Zhang Xiuyun Zhao Changlong Wen Gang Zhou Yuntong Wang Hongkun Zheng Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang | 2018 | Molecular Plant2018,11,11: | 6 |

| 4 | Devonian integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘The Global Boundary Stratotype Sections and Points(GSSPs) for the bases of all seven international Devonian stages have been formally defined and ratified by IUGS till 1996, and nowadays, the main tasks for Devonian stratigraphers include further subdivision of these standard stages, strictly constrained absolute ages for the boundaries, and precise neritic-pelagic and marine-terrestrial correlations using multidisciplinary stratigraphy methods. Establishment of high-resolution Devonian integrative stratigraphy framework and timescale of China would play an important role in improving regional and international correlation, facilitating the recognition of important stratigraphic levels in different paleogeographic settings, and understanding the evolution pattern of biota, paleoclimate and paleoenvironment during this critical interval. | 6 | Motivating Ru-bri site of RuO_(2)by boron doping toward high performance acidic and neutral oxygen evolution显示文摘The electrocatalysis of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)plays a key role in clean energy storage and transfer.Nonetheless,the sluggish kinetics and poor durability under acidic and neutral conditions severely hinder practical applications such as electrolyzer compatible with the powerful proton exchange membrane and biohybrid fuel production.Here,we report a borondoped ruthenium dioxide electrocatalyst(B-RuO_(2))fabricated by a facile boric acid assisted strategy which demonstrates excellent acidic and neutral OER performances.Density functional theory calculations and advanced characterizations reveal that the boron species form an anomalous B–O covalent bonding with the oxygen atoms of RuO_(2)and expose the fully coordinately bridge ruthenium site(Ru-bri site),which seems like a switch that turns on the inactive Ru-bri site into OER-active,resulting in more exposed active sites,modified electronic structure,and optimized binding energy of intermediates.Thus,the B-RuO_(2)exhibits an ultralow overpotential of 200 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2)and maintains excellent stability compared to commercial RuO_(2)in 0.5 M sulfuric acid.Moreover,the superior performance is as well displayed in neutral electrolyte,surpassing most previously reported catalysts. | Chongjing Liu Beibei Sheng Quan Zhou Dengfeng Cao Honghe Ding Shuangming Chen Pengjun Zhang Yujian Xia Xiaojun Wu Li Song | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 1 |

| 16 | Phlorizin alleviates deltamethrin-induced oxidative stress in brine shrimp Artemia显示文摘Deltamethrin(DEL),a commonly used pyrethroid pesticide,results in higher reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels in aquatic animals,which consequently unbalance the redox state.Phlorizin(PHL)is a flavonoid and a natural product promising to prevent or reduce pesticide-induced oxidative stress.Artemia is a micro-crustacean widely used in marine hatcheries and an experimental aquatic organism for environmental toxicology research.This research aimed to evaluate the toxicity of DEL on Artemia and the antioxidative effect of PHL against the toxicity.Results show that 0.08-mg/mL PHL exerted its antioxidative effects on hatching percentage of the cysts in 24-h incubation and on body length and survival rate of Artemia in 12-d culture.After 12-d culture,12-,24-,and 36-h DEL exposure showed significant drops in SOD,CAT,and GSH-Px enzyme activities,and significant increases in ROS and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels in Artemia(P<0.05).On the contrary,0.08-mg/mL PHL application improved the enzyme activities and decreased the ROS and MDA levels(P<0.05).Moreover,0.08-mg/mL PHL significantly increased mRNA expression levels of Cu/Zn SOD,CAT,GST,HO-1,NQO1,and Nrf2,and decreased mRNA expression level of Keap1 in the DEL-exposed Artemia(P<0.05).Therefore,DEL is toxic to Artemia,while PHL alleviates DEL-induced oxidative damage by possibly regulating the Nrf2signaling pathway.This study provided a theoretical basis for PHL to reduce pesticide-induced toxicity in aquatic animals. | Dandan MA Qingli ZHOU Liying SUI Qingbin GUO Huanhuan LIU Honghe LIANG Zhenjing LI Zhongna SANG | 2024 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2024,42,1: | 0 |

| 19 | Unraveling the advantages of Pd/CeO_(2)single-atom catalysts in the NO+CO reaction by model catalysts显示文摘Selective catalytic reduction of NO by CO is challenging in environmental catalysis but attractive owing to the advantage of simultaneous elimination of NO and CO.Here,model catalysts consisting of Pd nanoparticles(NPs)and single-atom Pd supported on a CeO_(2)(111)film grown on Cu(111)(denoted as Pd NPs/CeO_(2)and Pd_(1)/CeO_(2),respectively)were successfully prepared and characterized by synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy(SRPES)and infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy(IRAS).The NO+CO adsorption/reaction on the Pd_(1)/CeO_(2)and Pd NPs/CeO_(2)catalysts were carefully investigated using SRPES,temperature-programmed desorption(TPD),and IRAS.It is found that the reaction products on both model catalysts are in good agreement with those on real catalysts,demonstrating the good reliability of using these model catalysts to study the reaction mechanism of the NO+CO reaction.On the Pd NPs/CeO_(2)surface,N_(2)is formed by the combination of atomic N coming from the dissociation of NO on Pd NPs at higher temperatures.N_(2)O formation occurs probably via chemisorbed NO combined with atomic N on the surface.While on the single-atom Pd_(1)/CeO_(2)surface,no N_(2)O is detected.The 100%N_(2)selectivity may stem from the formation of O-N-N-O^(*)intermediate on the surface.Through this study,direct experimental evidence for the reaction mechanisms of the NO+CO reaction is provided,which supports the previous density functional theory(DFT)calculations. | Qian Xu Xingwang Cheng Ningqiang Zhang Yi Tu Lihui Wu Haibin Pan Jun Hu Honghe Ding Junfa Zhu Yadong Li | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
| 20 | Devonian integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas显示文摘The Devonian System in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas is widely distributed,diverse in lithotypes and rich in fossils.It records the crucial processes of continuous subduction and reduction of the Paleo-Asian Ocean in the northern hemisphere and the transformation of the Proto-Tethys Ocean into the Paleo-Tethys Ocean in the southern hemisphere.Thus,it is of great significance for explaining the global paleogeographic evolution,tectonic activities and biodiversity changes during this critical period.The blocks on both sides of the southern Tienshan suture zone and the Longmu Co-ShuanghuChangning-Menglian suture zone belong to different sedimentary systems and paleobiogeographic realms and regions,showing important tectonic paleogeographic partitioning significance.The two suture zones represent the main branches of the PaleoAsian Ocean and the Paleo-Tethys Ocean,respectively,and on this basis the Devonian System can be subdivided into three types:the Tienshan type,the Tethys type and the Gondwana type.Based on recent research progress on the Devonian stratigraphy and paleontology in combining provenance analysis and biotic characteristics in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and surrounding areas,this paper aims to establish the latest integrative stratigraphic framework and conduct paleogeographic reconstruction,providing foundation for exploring the geological evolution and dynamic mechanisms of various terranes and blocks in the northern margin of Gondwana.The results indicate that the North Qiangtang,South Qiangtang,Simao,Baoshan and Tengchong terranes,as well as the Himalaya Tethys Zone and the South China Block have affinities with the Indian Block,while the Lhasa Terrane has affinities with the Australian Block,and may be located between the South China and Australian blocks.In the Emsian(Early Devonian),the South China Block separated from the northern margin of Gondwana,a process that was accompanied by the opening of the Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan Ocean.In the Middle Devonian,the mid-oceanic ridge of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean expanded rapidly,corresponding with a global sea-level rise,the widespread development of carbonate platforms and nadir values of Devonian seawater strontium isotopes.By the Late Devonian,the Paleo-Tethys Ocean had reached a considerable size,leading to abundant occurrences of Upper Devonian radiolarian cherts in the Paleo-Tethys suture zones. | Wenkun QIE Kun LIANG Wen GUO Biao GAO Junjun SONG Bo CHEN Pu HUANG Li QIAO Honghe XU Jitao CHEN Yucong SUN Yichun ZHANG | 2024 | Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,4: | 0 |
