| 1 | Effect of Liuweibuqi capsule, a Chinese patent medicine, on the JAK1/STAT3 pathway and MMP9/TIMP1 in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease rat model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe effect of Liuweibuqi Capsule, a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), on the janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) pathway and matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) rat model with lung deficiency in terms of TCM's pattern differentiation.METHODS: Rats were randomly divided into a normal group, model group, Liuweibuqi group, Jinshuibao group, and spleen aminopeptidase group(n=10). Aside from the normal group, all rats were ex-posed to smoke plus lipopolysaccharide tracheal instillation to establish the COPD model with lung deficiency. Models were established after 28 days and then the normal and model groups were given normal saline(0.09 g/kg), Liuweibuqi group was given Liuweibuqi capsule(0.35 g/kg), Jinshuibao group was given Jinshuibao capsules(0.495 g/kg), and the spleen group was given spleen aminopeptidase(0.33 mg/kg), once a day for 30 days. Changes in symptoms, signs, and lung histology were observed. Lung function was measured with a spirometer. Serum cytokines were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and changes in the JAK/STAT pathway, MMP-9, and MMPs inhibitor1(TIMP1) were detected by immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, and western blotting, respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, lung tissue was damaged, and lung function was reduced in the model control group. Additionally, the levels of interleukin(IL)-1β, γ interferon(IFN-γ), and IL-6 were higher, while IL-4 and IL-10 were lower in the model control group than those in the normal group. The expressions of JAK1, STAT3, p-STAT3,and MMP-9 m RNA and protein in lung tissue were higher, and TIMP1 m RNA and protein was lower in the model group compared with the normal group.After treatment, compared with the model group,the expression of inflammatory cytokines was lower in each treatment group, and expressions of JAK/STAT pathway, MMPs were lower. | 3 | Modification of NiCoCrAlY with Pt: Part Ⅱ. Application in TBC with pure metastable tetragonal(t’) phase YSZ and thermal cycling behavior显示文摘A thermal barrier coating system comprising Pt-modified NiCoCrAlY bond coating and nanostructured 4mol.% yttria stabilized zirconia(4YSZ, hereafter) top coat was fabricated on a second generation Ni-base superalloy. Thermal cycling behavior of NiCoCrAlY-4 YSZ thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) with and without Pt modification was evaluated in ambient air at 1100?C up to 1000 cycles, aiming to investigate the effect of Pt on formation of thermally grown oxide(TGO) and oxidation resistance. Results indicated that a dual layered TGO, which consisted of top(Ni,Co)(Cr,Al)_2O_4 spinel and underlying α-Al_2O_3, was formed at the NiCoCrAlY/4 YSZ interface with thickness of 8.4μm, accompanying with visible cracks at the interface. In contrast, a single-layer and adherent α-Al_2O_3 scale with thickness of 5.6μm was formed at the interface of Pt-modified NiCoCrAlY and 4 YSZ top coating. The modification of Pt on NiCoCrAlY favored the exclusive formation of α-Al_2O_3 and the reduction of TGO growth rate, and thus could effectively improve overall oxidation performance and extend service life of TBCs. | 20 | Spatio-temporal Changes in Water Conservation Ecosystem Service During 1990–2019 in the Tumen River Basin, Northeast China显示文摘The water conservation(WC) function of ecosystems is related to regional ecological security and the sustainable development of water resources, and the assessment of WC and its influencing factors is crucial for ecological and water resource management.The Tumen River Basin(TRB) is located in the core of the Northeast Asian ecological network and has been experiencing severe ecological crises and water shortages in recent years due to climate change and human activities. However, these crises have not been fully revealed to the extent that corresponding scientific measures are lacking. This study analyzed the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and drivers of WC in the TRB from 1990 to 2019 based on the water yield module of the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs(InVEST) model. The results showed that: 1) under the combined effect of nature and socioeconomics, the WC depth of the TRB has slowly increased at a rate of 0.11 mm/yr in the past 30 years, with an average WC depth of 36.14 mm. 2) The main driving factor of the spatial variation in WC is precipitation, there is a significant interaction between precipitation and velocity, the interaction between each factor is higher than the contribution of a single factor, and the interactions between factors all have nonlinear enhancement and two-factor enhancement. 3) Among the seven counties and municipalities in the study area, the southern part of Helong City and the southeastern part of Longjing City are extremely important areas for WC(> 75 mm), and they should be regarded as regional water resources and ecological priority protection areas. It is foreseen that under extreme climate conditions in the future, the WC of the watershed is under great potential threat, and protection measures such as afforestation and forestation should begin immediately.
