1Spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites in coastal China:Sea level changes, geomorphic evolution and human adaption显示文摘The East China coastal plain is one of the most important Neolithic culture areas in China, where rich archaeological sites including those producing the earliest domesticated rice are observed. It is also a place where landscape has experienced dramatic evolution during the Holocene when both sea level and climate changed, such that it is an ideal place for studying human-environment interaction. This study investigated over 2000 sites of pre-history and Shang and Zhou Dynasties, with 655 of which being Neolithic ages, by using DEM and GIS methods. The results suggest that the spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites has largely been controlled by landscape evolution(particularly changes in coastal line), which ultimately governed by sea level changes. During early Holocene, Neolithic sites sparsely distributed in the intermountain basins of east Zhejiang Province, far from the influence of ocean. Over the period of 9–7 ka, the coastal plain(including the shelf) was largely submerged,only the feet of low hills to the south and southwest of the study area, and islands protruding the estuary, cradled limited number of settlements with characteristic 'maritime components'. At about 7 ka, sea level rise decelerated prominently, while sediments supply in the drainage remained high value, the combination of which led to land formation and propagation. Vast space during this period facilitated the growth of settlements in both size and number. 2Quantificational indexes for design and evaluation of copper staves for blast furnaces显示文摘The quantificational and normative design is the precondition of improving the design of copper staves for blast furnaces. Based on a 3-dimensional temperature field calculation model,from the view point of heat transfer and long campaigns note with the core of forming accretion,the forming-accretion-ability(FAA)and the rib hot surface maximum temperature difference(ΔT_(max))as quantificational indexes to direct and evaluate the design of copper staves for blast furnaces were presented.The application of the two indexes in design essentially embodies the new long campaigns in the stage of design.With the application of the two indexes, good results can be obtained.Firstly,it was suggested that the rib height of a copper stave can be reduced to 15 mm,which is a new method and theory for the reduction of copper staves.Secondly,the influence of insert on FAA andΔT_(max)is decided by the volume of insert.According to this,the principle of design for the hot surface geometry of copper staves was put forward that the ratio of the rib hot surface to the copper stave hot surface(abbreviated as the ratio of rib to stave)must be maintained in the range of 45% to 55%; for the present copper stave with a 35-40 mm thick rib,the ratio of rib to stave in the range of 50% to 55% can optimize the design of copper staves;for the copper stave with a smaller rib thickness,for example 15 mm,the ratio of rib to stave in the range of 45% to 50% can optimize the design of copper staves.It can be summarized that the thicker the rib thickness,the larger is the ratio of rib to stave.Liang Qian Susen Cheng Hongbo Zhao 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,1:6
3Straw strip mulching in a semiarid rainfed agroecosystem achieves winter wheat yields similar to those of full plastic mulching by optimizing the soil hydrothermal regime显示文摘Straw strip mulching(SM)is a new mulching technology.From 2012 to 2018,SM’s effects on soil moisture and temperature and production performances were compared with other mulching practices,using three treatments:full-cover plastic mulch(PM),no mulch with wheat sown in rows as the control(CK),and SM with 50%to 59%of the field area mulched.Compared with CK,on average over six growing seasons,SM and PM increased grain yield by 27.0%and 21.7%,straw yield by 21.6%and 22.6%,kernels ha;by 26.6%and 19.0%,net income by 29.8%and-25.0%,soil temperature at 5 cm by-1.5°C and 0.2°C from overwintering to maturity,and soil water storage at 0–200 cm by 25 and 22 mm,respectively.The increase in soil moisture in SM and PM was greater in the early period(overwintering to jointing)than in the later period(booting to maturity)and at 0 to 120 cm than at 120–200 cm in the early period.Although the mean evapotranspiration of whole growth period across six seasons was similar among treatments,SM and PM increased water consumption during the key formation period of yield components after overwintering by 16 and 32 mm,respectively,while reducing it before overwintering.Compared with CK,SM and PM had the effects of warming during overwintering and cooling after jointing.By increasing water consumption after overwintering and ratio of transpiration to evapotranspiration and providing favorable soil temperature for multiple growth stages and more sufficient soil moisture,SM and PM promoted vegetative growth and increased kernels ha^(-1),the main mechanisms by which SM and PM increased grain yield relative to CK.Relative to PM,SM is a more economically beneficial and environment-friendly technology for dryland wheat production.Yuwei Chai Qiang Chai Rui Li Yawei Li Changgang Yang Hongbo Cheng Lei Chang Shouxi Chai 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,3:6
4Core-shell structured MoS_2@S spherical cathode with improved electrochemical performance for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘To suppress shuttling effect and improve electrochemical performance of the sulfur cathode for lithiumsulfur batteries, core-shell structured MoS_2 @S spherical cathode has been synthesized through a chemical route using MnC03 as template. The MoS_2 shells consist of MoS_2 nanosheets. For comparison, MoS_2/S cathode has also been synthesized through melting and diffusion of sulfur to commercial MoS_2 powders. The electrochemical performance of the MoS_2@S and MoS_2/S cathodes have been evaluated using cyclic voltammetry, discharge/charge cycling, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy coupled with impedance fitting. The electrochemical performance of the MoS_2@S spherical cathode has been much improved compared with that of MoS_2/S. The capacity of the MoS_2@S spheres can reach 1185.7 mAhg-1 at 0.2 C and 955.1 mAhg^(-1) at 1 C with initial-cycle coulombic efficiency of 90%. The capacity fading of each cycle is 0.1 % during 200 lithiation/delithiation cycles. 5Challenges and strategies for in situ endothelialization and long-term lumen patency of vascular grafts显示文摘Vascular diseases are the most prevalent cause of ischemic necrosis of tissue and organ,which even result in dysfunction and death.Vascular regeneration or artificial vascular graft,as the conventional treatment modality,has received keen attentions.However,small-diameter(diameter<4 mm)vascular grafts have a high risk of thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia(IH),which makes long-term lumen patency challengeable.Endothelial cells(ECs)form the inner endothelium layer,and are crucial for anti-coagulation and thrombogenesis.Thus,promoting in situ endothelialization in vascular graft remodeling takes top priority,which requires recruitment of endothelia progenitor cells(EPCs),migration,adhesion,proliferation and activation of EPCs and ECs.Chemotaxis aimed at ligands on EPC surface can be utilized for EPC homing,while nanofibrous structure,biocompatible surface and cell-capturing molecules on graft surface can be applied for cell adhesion.Moreover,cell orientation can be regulated by topography of scaffold,and cell bioactivity can be modulated by growth factors and therapeutic genes.Additionally,surface modification can also reduce thrombogenesis,and some drug release can inhibit IH.Considering the influence of macrophages on ECs and smooth muscle cells(SMCs),scaffolds loaded with drugs that can promote M2 polarization are alternative strategies.In conclusion,the advanced strategies for enhanced long-term lumen patency of vascular grafts are summarized in this review.Strategies for recruitment of EPCs,adhesion,proliferation and activation of EPCs and ECs,anti-thrombogenesis,anti-IH,and immunomodulation are discussed.Ideal vascular grafts with appropriate surface modification,loading and fabrication strategies are required in further studies.Yu Zhuang Chenglong Zhang Mengjia Cheng Jinyang Huang Qingcheng Liu Guangyin Yuan Kaili Lin Hongbo Yu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:5

7Application of regional citrate anticoagulation in patients at high risk of bleeding during intermittent hemodialysis:a prospective multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)combined with sequential anticoagulation and standard calcium-containing dialysate in intermittent hemodialysis(IHD)treatment.Methods:Patients at high risk of bleeding who underwent IHD from September 2019 to May 2021 were prospectively enrolled in 13 blood purification centers of nephrology departments,and were randomly divided into RCA group and saline flushing group.In the RCA group,0.04 g/mL sodium citrate was infused from the start of the dialysis line during blood draining and at the venous expansion chamber.The sodium citrate was stopped after 3 h of dialysis,which was changed to sequential dialysis without anticoagulant.The hazard ratios for coagulation were according to baseline.Results:A total of 159 patients and 208 sessions were enrolled,including RCA group(80 patients,110 sessions)and saline flushing group(79 patients,98 sessions).The incidence of severe coagulation events of extracorporeal circulation in the RCA group was significantly lower than that in the saline flushing group(3.64%vs.20.41%,P<0.001).The survival time of the filter pipeline in the RCA group was significantly longer than that in the saline flushing group((238.34±9.33)min vs.(221.73±34.10)min,P<0.001).The urea clearance index(Kt/V)in the RCA group was similar to that in the saline flushing group with no statistically significant difference(1.12±0.34 vs.1.08±0.34,P=0.41).Conclusions:Compared with saline flushing,the two-stage RCA combined with a sequential anticoagulation strategy significantly reduced extracorporeal circulation clotting events and prolonged the dialysis time without serious adverse events.Xiaoyan TANG Dezheng CHEN Ling ZHANG Ping FU Yanxia CHEN Zhou XIAO Xiangcheng XIAO Weisheng PENG Li CHENG Yanmin ZHANG Hongbo LI Kehui LI Bizhen GOU Xin WU Qian YU Lijun JIAN Zaizhi ZHU Yu WEN Cheng LIU Hen XUE Hongyu ZHANG Xin HE Bin YAN Liping ZHONG Bin HUANG Mingying MAO 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,11:4
8Speech recognition algorithm based on neural network and hidden Markov model显示文摘This study proposes a hybrid model of speech recognition parallel algorithm based on hidden Markov model( HMM) and artificial neural network( ANN). First,the algorithm uses HMM for time-series modeling of speech signals and calculates the voice to the HMM of the output probability score. Second,with the probability score as input to the neural network,the algorithm gets information for classification and recognition and makes a decision based on the hybrid model. Finally,Matlab software is used to train and test sample data. Simulation results show that using the strong time-series modeling ability of HMM and the classification features of the neural network,the proposed algorithm possesses stronger noise immunity than the traditional HMM. This paper presents an automatic parking scheme based on trajectory planning, which analyzing the mechanical model of the vehicle, establishing vehicle steering model and parking model, coming to the conclusion that it is the turning radius is independent of the vehicle speed at low speed. The Matlab simulation environment verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for parking. 10Energy-Performance Tradeoffs in laaS Cloud with Virtual Machine Scheduling显示文摘In the cloud data centers,how to map virtual machines(VMs) on physical machines(PMs) to reduce the energy consumption is becoming one of the major issues,and the existing VM scheduling schemes are mostly to reduce energy consumption by optimizing the utilization of physical servers or network elements.However,the aggressive consolidation of these resources may lead to network performance degradation.In view of this,this paper proposes a two-stage VM scheduling scheme:(1) We propose a static VM placement scheme to minimize the number of activating PMs and network elements to reduce the energy consumption;(2) In the premise of minimizing the migration costs,we propose a dynamic VM migration scheme to minimize the maximum link utilization to improve the network performance.This scheme makes a tradeoff between energy efficiency and network performance.We design a new twostage heuristic algorithm for a solution,and the simulations show that our solution achieves good results.DONG Jiankang WANG Hongbo CHENG Shiduan 2015China Communications2015,12,2:3

13Establishment of a rhesus monkey model of middle cerebral artery ischemia and reperfusion using a microcatheter embolization method显示文摘Nonhuman primates are closest to humans in terms of lineage,and middle cerebral artery ischemia/reperfusion responses of nonhuman primates are most similar to ischemic stroke in humans.Therefore,nonhuman primates could be utilized to simulate the process of ischemic stroke in the human.Few studies,however,have reported the use of endovascular technology to establish a rhesus monkey stroke model.In the present study,seven adult,male,rhesus monkeys were selected and,following anesthesia,a microcatheter was inserted into one side of the middle cerebral artery via the femoral artery to block blood flow,thereby resulting in middle cerebral artery occlusion.After 2 hours,the microcatheter was withdrawn to restore the middle cerebral artery blood flow and to establish ischemia/reperfusion.Results from angiography and magnetic resonance angiography confirmed occlusion and reopening of the middle cerebral artery.Magnetic resonance imaging revealed the existence of ischemic brain lesions,and neurological examination showed sustained functional deficits following surgery.The rhesus monkey middle cerebral artery ischemia/reperfusion models established by microcatheter embolization had the advantage of non-craniotomy invasion and reproducibility.The scope and degree of ischemic damage using this model was controllable.Therefore,this nonhuman primate model is an ideal model for cerebral ischemia and reperfusion.Jie Yang Jian Guo Hongbo Zheng Muke Zhou Li He Wenying Cao Li Xiao Jiachuan Duan Qiyong Gong Xiaoqi Huang Hongxia Li Li Wang Jingqiu Cheng 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,15:2
14Modulating intestinal mucus barrier for nanoparticles penetration by surfactants显示文摘Improving peroral delivery efficiency is always a persistent goal for both small-molecule and macromolecular drug development. However,intestinal mucus barrier which greatly impedes drug-loaded nanoparticles penetration is commonly overlooked. Therefore,in this study,taking fluorescent labeled PLGA(poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)) nanoparticles as a tool,the influence of anionic and nonionic surfactants on mucus penetration ability of nanoparticles and their mucus barrier regulating ability were studied. The movement of PLGA nanoparticles in mucus was tracked by multiple particles tracking method(MPT).Alteration of mucus properties by addition of surfactants was evaluated by rheology and morphology study. Rat intestinal villus penetration study was used to further evaluate penetration enhancement of nanoparticles. The effective diffusivities of the nanoparticles in surfactants pretreated mucus were increased by 2–3 times and the mucus barrier regulating capacity was also surfactant type dependent. Sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) increased the complex viscosity and viscoelastic properties of mucus,but poloxamer presented a decreased trend. Tween 80 maintained the rheological property of the mucus. With the mucus barrier regulated by surfactants,the penetration of nanoparticles in intestinal villus was obviously increased. In summary,the mucus penetration ability of nanoparticles could be enhanced by altering mucus microenvironment with surfactants. 15Lipidomic and transcriptomic analysis reveals reallocation of carbon flux from cuticular wax into plastid membrane lipids in a glossy“Newhall”navel orange mutant显示文摘Both cuticle and membrane lipids play essential roles in quality maintenance and disease resistance in fresh fruits.Many reports have indicated the modification of alternative branch pathways in epicuticular wax mutants;however,the specific alterations concerning lipids have not been clarified thus far.Here,we conducted a comprehensive,timeresolved lipidomic,and transcriptomic analysis on the“Newhall”navel orange(WT)and its glossy mutant(MT)“Gannan No.1”.The results revealed severely suppressed wax formation accompanied by significantly elevated production of 36-carbon plastid lipids with increasing fruit maturation in MT.Transcriptomics analysis further identified a series of key functional enzymes and transcription factors putatively involved in the biosynthesis pathways of wax and membrane lipids.Moreover,the high accumulation of jasmonic acid(JA)in MT was possibly due to the need to maintain plastid lipid homeostasis,as the expression levels of two significantly upregulated lipases(CsDAD1 and CsDALL2)were positively correlated with plastid lipids and characterized to hydrolyze plastid lipids to increase the JA content.Our results will provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the natural variation of plant lipids to lay a foundation for the quality improvement of citrus fruit.Haoliang Wan Hongbo Liu Jingyu Zhang Yi Lyu Zhuoran Li Yizhong He Xiaoliang Zhang Xiuxin Deng Yariv Brotman Alisdair RFernie Yunjiang Cheng Weiwei Wen 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2
16Learning an identity distinguishable space for large scale face recognition显示文摘Implementing face recognition efficiently to real world large scale dataset presents great challenges to existing approaches. The method in this paper was proposed to learn an identity distinguishable space for large scale face recognition in MSR-Bing image recognition challenge( IRC). Firstly,a deep convolutional neural network( CNN)was used to optimize a 128 B embedding for large scale face retrieval. The embedding was trained via using triplets of aligned face patches from Face Scrub and CASIA-Web Face datasets. Secondly,the evaluation of MSR-Bing IRC was conducted according to a cross-domain retrieval scheme. The real-time retrieval in this paper was benefited from the K-means clustering performed on the feature space of training data. Furthermore,a large scale similarity learning( LSSL) was applied on the relevant face images for learning a better identity space. A novel method for selecting similar pairs was proposed for LSSL. 17Mesh Smoothing Method Based on Local Wave Analysis显示文摘As the mesh models usually contain noise data,it is necessary to eliminate the noises and smooth the mesh.But existed methods always lose geometric features during the smoothing process.Hence,the noise is considered as a kind of random signal with high frequency,and then the mesh model smoothing is operated with signal processing theory.Local wave analysis is used to deal with geometric signal,and then a novel mesh smoothing method based on the local wave is proposed.The proposed method includes following steps:Firstly,analyze the principle of local wave decomposition for 1D signal,and expand it to 2D signal and 3D spherical surface signal processing;Secondly,map the mesh to the spherical surface with parameterization,resample the spherical mesh and decompose the spherical signals by local wave analysis;Thirdly,propose the coordinate smoothing and radical radius smoothing methods,the former filters the mesh points' coordinates by local wave,and the latter filters the radical radius from their geometric center to mesh points by local wave;Finally,remove the high-frequency component of spherical signal,and obtain the smooth mesh model with inversely mapping from the spherical signal.Several mesh models with Gaussian noise are processed by local wave based method and other compared methods.The results show that local wave based method can obtain better smoothing performance,and reserve more original geometric features at the same time.QIN Xujia ZHENG Hongbo CHENG Shiwei LIU Shishuang XU Xiaogang 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3:2
18Virtual Machine Scheduling for Improving Energy Efficiency in laaS Cloud显示文摘In IaaS Cloud,different mapping relationships between virtual machines(VMs) and physical machines(PMs) cause different resource utilization,so how to place VMs on PMs to reduce energy consumption is becoming one of the major concerns for cloud providers.The existing VM scheduling schemes propose optimize PMs or network resources utilization,but few of them attempt to improve the energy efficiency of these two kinds of resources simultaneously.This paper proposes a VM scheduling scheme meeting multiple resource constraints,such as the physical server size(CPU,memory,storage,bandwidth,etc.) and network link capacity to reduce both the numbers of active PMs and network elements so as to finally reduce energy consumption.Since VM scheduling problem is abstracted as a combination of bin packing problem and quadratic assignment problem,which is also known as a classic combinatorial optimization and NP-hard problem.Accordingly,we design a twostage heuristic algorithm to solve the issue,and the simulations show that our solution outperforms the existing PM- or network-only optimization solutions.DONG Jiankang WANG Hongbo LIYangyang CHENG Shiduan 2014China Communications2014,11,3:2
19Optimization for the structure of BF hearth bottom and the arrangement of thermal couples显示文摘The hearth of “heat transfer method” and the ceramic cup synthetic hearth bottom of “heart isolation method” are two most popular designs for blast furnace (BF). Although there are successful real examples, some disadvantages, for instance large heat loss and high cost, still exist for these designs. According to the theory of heat transfer, based on the calculation of temperature distribution of the hearth bottom, it is elucidated that all brick layers at the hearth bottom may not be considered as the only reason why different structures exhibited different temperature distributions although total heat resistance is the same, and then based on the effect of hot metal and cold water on different temperature distribution ranges, the concepts of “heat resistance” and “cooling enhancement” are put forth. Based on this, the disadvantages and the factors affecting temperature distribution, of the two types of hearth bottoms were illustrated. On the basis of these analyses, a novel structure for BF hearth bottom designing that can easily form “self-protecting” slag layer stably, called “the method of gradient brick layout that has an optimum combination of cooling enhancement and heat resistance” was proposed; it can not only prolong the hearth bottom longevity but also reduce the cost and heat loss.
