1Wearable skin-like optoelectronic systems with suppression of motion artifacts for cuff-less continuous blood pressure monitor显示文摘According to the statistics of the World Health Organization,an estimated 17.9 million people die from cardiovascular diseases each year,representing 31%of all global deaths.Continuous non-invasive arterial pressure(CNAP)is essential for the management of cardiovascular diseases.However,it is difficult to achieve long-term CNAP monitoring with the daily use of current devices due to irritation of the skin as well as the lack of motion artifacts suppression.Here,we report a high-performance skin-like optoelectronic system integrated with ultra-thin flexible circuits to monitor CNAP.We introduce a theoretical model via the virtual work principle for predicting the precise blood pressure and suppressing motion artifacts,and propose optical difference in the frequency domain for stable optical measurements in terms of skin-like devices.We compare the results with the blood pressure acquired by invasive(intra-arterial)blood pressure monitoring for>1500 min in total on 44 subjects in an intensive care unit.The maximum absolute errors of diastolic and systolic blood pressure were±7/±10 mm Hg,respectively,in immobilized,and±10/±14 mm Hg,respectively,in walking scenarios.These strategies provide advanced blood pressure monitoring techniques,which would directly address an unmet clinical need or daily use for a highly vulnerable population.Haicheng Li Yinji Ma Ziwei Liang Zhouheng Wang Yu Cao Yuan Xu Hua Zhou Bingwei Lu Ying Chen Zhiyuan Han Shisheng Cai Xue Feng 2020National Science Review2020,7,5:7
2Identification and characterization of rice blast resistance gene Pid4 by a combination of transcriptomic profiling and genome analysis显示文摘Map-based cloning of plant disease resistance (R) genes is time-consuming. Here, we reported the isolation of blast R gene Pid4 using comparative transcriptomic profiling and genome-wide sequence analysis. Pid4 encodes a coiled-coil nucleotide-binding site leucine-rich repeat(CC-NBS-LRR) protein and is constitutively expressed at diverse developmental stages in the rice variety Digu. The Pid4 protein is localized in both the nucleus and cytoplasm. Introduction of Pid4 into susceptible rice cultivars confers race-specific resistance to leaf and neck blast. Amino acid sequence comparison and blast resistance spectrum tests showed that Pid4 is a novel R gene, different from the previously reported R genes located in the same gene cluster. A Pid4 Indel marker was developed to facilitate the identification of Pid4 in different rice varieties. 3A novel lineage of osteoprogenitor cells with dual epithelial and mesenchymal properties govern maxillofacial bone homeostasis and regeneration after MSFL显示文摘Bone regeneration originates from proliferation and differentiation of osteoprogenitors via either endochondral or intramembranous ossifcation;and the regeneration capacities decline with age and estrogen loss.Maillary sinus floor lifting(MSFL)is a commonly used surgical procedure for guiding bone regeneration in mailla.Radiographic analysis of 1210 clinical cases of maxilla bone regeneration after MSFL revealed that the intrasinus osteogenic eficacy was independent of age and gender,however;and this might be related to the Schneiderian membrane that lines the sinus cavity.In view of the particularity of this biological process,our present study aimed to elucidate the underlying mechanism of MSFL-induced bone regeneration.We frst established a murine model to simulate the clinical MSFL.By single cell RNA-sequencing and flow cytometry-based bulk RNA-sequencing,we identifed a novel Krt14^(+)Ctsk^(+)subset of cells that display both epithelial and mesenchymal properties and the transcriptomic feature of osteoprogenitors.Dual recombinases-mediated lineage tracing and oss-offunction analyses showed that these Krt14^(+)Ctsk^(+)progenitors contribute to both MSFL-induced osteogenesis and physiological bone homeostasis by differentiating into Krt14 Ctsk^(+)descendants which show robust osteogenic capacity.In addition,we detected a similar population of Kt14^(+)Ctsk^(+)cells in human samples of Schneiderian membrane,which show a highly similar osteogenic potential and transcriptomic feature to the corresponding cells in mice.The identifcation of this Krt14^(+)Ctsk^(+)population,featured by osteoprogenitor charateristics and dual epithelial-mesenchymal properties,provides new insight into the understanding of bone regeneration and may open more possibilities for clinical applications.Yuteng Weng Haicheng Wang Di Wu Shuyu Xu Xiaofan Chen Jie Huang Yanhuizhi Feng Lin Li Zuolin Wang 2022Cell Research2022,32,9:5
4Spatial Pattern Evolution and Influencing Factors of Cold Storage in China显示文摘Cold storage is the vital infrastructure of cold chain logistics. In this study, we analyzed the spatial pattern evolution characteristics, spatial autocorrelation and influencing factors of cold storage in China by using kernel density estimation(KDE), spatial autocorrelation analysis(SAA), and spatial error model(SEM). Results showed that: 1) the spatial distribution of cold storage in China is unbalanced, and has evolved from ‘one core’ to ‘one core and many spots’, that is, ‘one core’ refers to the Bohai Rim region mainly including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and Liaoning regions, and ‘many spots’ mainly include the high-density areas such as Shanghai, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Hefei, Wuhan, ürümqi. 2) The distribution of cold storage has significant global spatial autocorrelation and local spatial autocorrelation, and the ‘High-High’ cluster area is the most stable, mainly concentrated in the Bohai Rim;the ‘Low-Low’ cluster area is grouped in the southern China. 3) Economic development level, population density, traffic accessibility, temperature and land price, all affect the location choice of cold storage in varying degrees, while the impact of market demand on it is not explicit.LI Jinfeng XU Haicheng LIU Wanwan WANG Dongfang ZHOU Shuang 2020Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,3:4
5Soil erosion affects variations of soil organic carbon and soil respiration along a slope in Northeast China显示文摘Background:Although soil erosion plays a key role in the carbon cycle,a holistic and mechanistic understanding of the soil erosion process within the cycle is still lacking.The aim of this study was therefore to improve our mechanistic understanding of soil organic carbon(SOC)and soil respiration dynamics through an experiment conducted in an eroding black soil farmland landscape in Northeast China.Results:The depositional profiles store 5.9 times more SOC than the eroding profiles and 3.3 times more SOC than the non-eroding profiles.A linear correlation between the SOC and 137Cs(Caesium-137)was observed in our study,suggesting that the SOC decreased with increased soil erosion.Furthermore,the fractions of intermediate C and the microaggregate C were lowest at the eroding position and highest at the depositional position.In the depositional topsoil,the input of labile materials plays a promotional role in soil respiration.Conversely,in the subsoil(i.e.,below 10 cm),the potential mineralization rates were lowest at the depositional position—due to effective stabilization by physical protection within soil microaggregates.The field results of soil surface respiration also suggest that the depositional topsoil SOC is prone to be mineralized and that SOC at this depositional context is stabilized at subsoil depth.In addition,the high water contents at the depositional position can limit the decomposition rates and stabilize the SOC at the same time.Conclusions:The findings from this study support that a majority of the SOC at footslope is stored within most of the soil profile(i.e.,below 10 cm)and submitted to long-term stabilization,and meanwhile support that the depositional profile emits more CO2 than the summit due to its high amount and quality of SOC.Tong Li Haicheng Zhang Xiaoyuan Wang Shulan Cheng Huajun Fang Gang Liu Wenping Yuan 2019Ecological Processes2019,8,1:4
6Induced regulatory T cells suppress Tel cells through TGF-β signaling to ameliorate STZ-induced type 1 diabetes mellitus显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1D)is a chronic autoimmune condition in which the immune system destroys insulin-producing pancreatic β cells.In addition to well-established pathogenic effector T cells,regulatory T cells(Tregs)have also been shown to be defective in T1D.Thus,an increasing number of therapeutic approaches are being developed to target Tregs.However,the role and mechanisms of TGF-β-induced Tregs(iTregs)in T1D remain poorly understood.Here,using a streptozotocin(STZ)-induced preclinical T1D mouse model,we found that iTregs could ameliorate the development of T1D and preserve β cell function.The preventive effect was associated with the inhibition of type 1 cytotoxic T(Tel)cell function and rebalancing the Treg/Tc1 cell ratio in recipients.Furthermore,we showed that the underlying mechanisms were due to the TGF-β-mediated combinatorial actions of mTOR and TCF1.In addition to the preventive role,the therapeutic effects of iTregs on the established STZ-T1D and nonobese diabetic(NOD)mouse models were tested,which revealed improved β cell function.Our findings therefore provide key new insights into the basic mechanisms involved in the therapeutic role of iTregs in T1D.Li Zhou Xuemin He Peihong Cai Ting Li Rongdong Peng Junlong Dang Yue Li Haicheng Li Feng Huang Guojun Shi Chichu Xie Yan Lu Yanming Chen 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,3:3
7Application of computational fluid dynamics simulation for submarine oil spill显示文摘Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) codes are being increasingly used in the simulation of submarine oil spills.This study focuses on the process of oil spills, from damaged submarine pipes, to the sea surface, using numerical models. The underwater oil spill model is developed, and a description of the governing equations is proposed,along with modifications required for the particalization of the control volume. Available experimental data were introduced to evaluate the validity of the CFD predictions, the results of which proved to be in good agreement with the experimental data. The effects of oil leak rate, leak diameter, current velocity, and oil density are investigated, by the validated CFD model, to estimate the undersea leakage time, the lateral migration distance,and surface diffusion range when the oil reaches the sea surface. Results indicate that the leakage time and lateral migration distance increase with decreasing leak rates and leak diameter, and increase with increasing current velocity and oil density. On the other hand, a large leak diameter, high density, high leak rate, or fast currents result in a greater surface diffusion range. 8Nicotinamide mononucleotide improves spermatogenic function in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice via modulating the glycolysis pathway显示文摘Spermatogenic dysfunction is one of the major secondary complications of diabetes;however,the underlying mechanisms remain ill-defined,and there is no available drug or strategy for the radical treatment of diabetic spermatogenic dysfunction.Therefore,the objective of this study is to investigate the protective effects of nicotinamide mononucleotide(NMN)on testicular spermatogenic function in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic mice.The results show that oral administration of NMN significantly increases the body and testis weight and the number of sperms.Moreover,the abnormal sperm count and the rate of sperm malformation are significantly decreased compared with the saline-treated diabetic mice.Histological analysis reveals that NMN treatment significantly increases the area and diameter of seminiferous tubules,accompanied by an increased number of spermatogenic cells and sperms.Immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR results show that NMN increases Bcl-2 expression and decreases Bax expression in the testis.NMN also increases the protein expression of Vimentin and the mRNA expressions of WT1 and GATA4.In addition,qRT-PCR,western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry results also show that NMN increases the expressions of glycolysis-related rate-limiting enzymes including HK2,PKM2,and LDHA.In summary,this study demonstrates the protective effects of NMN on the testis in an STZ-induced diabetic mice model.NMN exerts its protective effects via reducing spermatogenic cell apoptosis by regulating glycolysis of Sertoli cells in diabetic mice.This study provides an experimental basis for the future clinical application of NMN in diabetes-induced spermatogenicdysfunction.Duo Ma Linlin Hu Jinyuan Wang Min Luo Aihong Liang Xiaocan Lei Biyun Liao Meixiang Li Ming Xie Haicheng Li Yiwei Gong Dan Zi Xiangrun Li Xi Chen Xucai Liao 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9:1
9An Efficient SCF-PEKS Without Random Oracle Under Simple Assumption显示文摘The Public key encryption scheme with keyword search(PEKS),firstly put forward by Boneh et al.,can achieve the keyword searching without revealing any information of the initial data.However,the original PEKS scheme was required to construct a secure channel,which was usually expensive.Aimed at resolving this problem,Baek et al.put forward an improved scheme,which tried to construct a Secure channel free PEKS(SCFPEKS).Subsequently,several SCF-PEKS schemes were proposed,however most of them turned out only secure in the random oracle model,which possibly lead to the construction of insecure schemes.Therefore,Fang et al.put forward an enhanced SCF-PEKS construction,which was provably secure in the standard model,however this construction needed a strong and complicated assumption.Then Yang et al.put forward an SCF-PEKS construction under simple assumption,but their construction had a big reduction in efficiency.In this article,we propose an SCFPEKS construction,which is provably secure under the same assumption as that of Yang et al.’s scheme,however,with better performance.Then we give its full security proof,along with the performance analysis.Finally,we improve the SCF-PEKS construction to resist Keyword guessing attack(KGA)and give its security demonstration.WANG Guangbo LI Feng FAN Liwen LIU Haicheng 2021Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,1:1

12Validation of novel hub genes and molecular mechanisms in acute lung injury using an integrative bioinformatics approach显示文摘Acute lung injury(ALI)is an inflammatory pulmonary disease that can easily develop into serious acute respiratory distress syndrome,which has high morbidity and mortality.However,the molecular mechanism of ALI remains unclear,and few molecular biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment have been identified.In this study,we aimed to identify novel molecular biomarkers using a bioinformatics approach.Gene expression data were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database,co-expressed differentially expressed genes(CoDEGs)were identified using R software,and further functional enrichment analyses were conducted using the online tool Database for Annotation,Visualization,and Integrated Discovery.A protein-protein interaction network was established using the STRING database and Cytoscape software.Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI mouse model was constructed and verified.The hub genes were screened and validated in vivo.The transcription factors(TFs)and miRNAs associated with the hub genes were predicted using the NetworkAnalyst database.In total,71 CoDEGs were screened and found to be mainly involved in the cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions,and the tumor necrosis factor and malaria signaling pathways.Animal experiments showed that the lung injury score,bronchoalveolar lavage fluid protein concentration,and wet-to-dry weight ratio were higher in the LPS group than those in the control group.Real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis indicated that most of the hub genes such as colony-stimulating factor 2(Csf2)were overexpressed in the LPS group.A total of 20 TFs including nuclear respiratory factor 1(NRF1)and two miRNAs were predicted to be regulators of the hub genes.In summary,Csf2 may serve as a novel diagnostic and therapeutic target for ALI.NRF1 and mmu-mir-122-5p may be key regulators in the development of ALI.Qingchun Liang Qin Zhou Jinhe Li Zhugui Chen Zhihao Zhang Ruimeng Liu Haicheng Huang Zhiyong Peng Youtan Liu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,3:1

17Detection and classification of breast lesions using multiple information on contrast-enhanced mammography by a multiprocess deep-learning system: A multicenter study显示文摘Objective: Accurate detection and classification of breast lesions in early stage is crucial to timely formulate effective treatments for patients. We aim to develop a fully automatic system to detect and classify breast lesions using multiple contrast-enhanced mammography(CEM) images.Methods: In this study, a total of 1,903 females who underwent CEM examination from three hospitals were enrolled as the training set, internal testing set, pooled external testing set and prospective testing set. Here we developed a CEM-based multiprocess detection and classification system(MDCS) to perform the task of detection and classification of breast lesions. In this system, we introduced an innovative auxiliary feature fusion(AFF)algorithm that could intelligently incorporates multiple types of information from CEM images. The average freeresponse receiver operating characteristic score(AFROC-Score) was presented to validate system’s detection performance, and the performance of classification was evaluated by area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC). Furthermore, we assessed the diagnostic value of MDCS through visual analysis of disputed cases,comparing its performance and efficiency with that of radiologists and exploring whether it could augment radiologists’ performance.Results: On the pooled external and prospective testing sets, MDCS always maintained a high standalone performance, with AFROC-Scores of 0.953 and 0.963 for detection task, and AUCs for classification were 0.909[95% confidence interval(95% CI): 0.822-0.996] and 0.912(95% CI: 0.840-0.985), respectively. It also achieved higher sensitivity than all senior radiologists and higher specificity than all junior radiologists on pooled external and prospective testing sets. Moreover, MDCS performed superior diagnostic efficiency with an average reading time of 5 seconds, compared to the radiologists’ average reading time of 3.2 min. 18Layered injection technology for chemical flooding of Class-Ⅲ oil reservoirs in the Daqing Oil Fields complex,Songliao Basin,Northeast China显示文摘The Class-Ⅲ oil reservoirs of Lasaxing oilfield in the Daqing Oil Fields complex have geological oil reserves of 1.86 billion tonnes,an oil recovery of 39%,with remaining reserves accounting for more than 45%of the total geological reserves of the oilfield.Therefore,they have considerable potential for future oil production.The current layered injection technologies fail to achieve effective control over the low single-layer injection rates since they can only produce low throttle differential pressure under low injection rates(5-20 m^(3)/d).In this study,a symmetrically-structured double-offset-hole injection allocator and a novel throttling component were developed.Their spatial layout was constructed and mechanical parameters were optimized using finite element analysis,which allows for expanding the flow rate range at low injection rates.According to experimental results,the throttle differential pressure increased from 0.2 MPa to 0.8 MPa at an injection rate of 5 m^(3)/d,and the range of the single-layer flow rates expanded from 20-70 m^(3)/d to 5-70 m3/d.The field test results show that the effective production of oil layers with medium and low permeability was achieved and that the ratio of producing oil layer thickness to the total reservoir thickness increased by 9.7%on average.Therefore,this study provides valuable technical support for the effective chemical-flooding-based development of Class-Ⅲ oil reservoirs.Haicheng Li 2023Energy Geoscience2023,4,1:0
19Correlating the electronic structures of metallic/semiconducting MoTe_(2)interface to its atomic structures显示文摘Contact interface properties are important in determining the performances of devices that are based on atomically thin two-dimensional(2D)materials,especially for those with short channels.Understanding the contact interface is therefore important to design better devices.Herein,we use scanning transmission electron microscopy,electron energy loss spectroscopy,and first-principles calculations to reveal the electronic structures within the metallic(1T)-semiconducting(2H)MoTe_(2)coplanar phase boundary across a wide spectral range and correlate its properties to atomic structures.We find that the 2 H-MoTe_(2)excitonic peaks cross the phase boundary into the 1 T phase within a range of approximately 150 nm.The1 T-MoTe_(2)crystal field can penetrate the boundary and extend into the 2H phase by approximately two unit-cells.The plasmonic oscillations exhibit strong angle dependence,that is a red-shift ofπ+σ(approximately 0.3–1.2 e V)occurs within 4 nm at 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundaries with large tilt angles,but there is no shift at zero-tilted boundaries.These atomic-scale measurements reveal the structure–property relationships of the 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundary,providing useful information for phase boundary engineering and device development based on 2 D materials.Bo Han Chen Yang Xiaolong Xu Yuehui Li Ruochen Shi Kaihui Liu Haicheng Wang Yu Ye Jing Lu Dapeng Yu Peng Gao 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:0
20Toward a stellar population catalog in the Kilo Degree Survey:The impact of stellar recipes on stellar masses and star formation rates显示文摘The Kilo Degree Survey(Ki DS)is currently the only sky survey providing optical(ugri)plus near-infrared(NIR,ZY H JKS)seeing matched photometry over an area larger than 1000 deg2.This is obtained by incorporating the NIR data from the VISTA Kilo Degree Infrared Galaxy(VIKING)survey,covering the same Ki DS footprint.As such,the Ki DS multi-wavelength photometry represents a unique dataset to test the ability of stellar population models to return robust photometric stellar mass(M_(*))and star-formation rate(SFR)estimates.Here we use a spectroscopic sample of galaxies for which we possess ugri ZY JHK_(s)“gaussianized”magnitudes from Ki DS data release 4.We fit the spectral energy distribution from the 9-band photometry using:(1)three different popular libraries of stellar population templates,(2)single burst,simple and delayed exponential star-formation history models,and(3)a wide range of priors on age and metallicity.As template fitting codes we use two popular softwares:Le Phare and CIGALE.We investigate the variance of the stellar masses and the star-formation rates from the different combinations of templates,star formation recipes and codes to assess the stability of these estimates and define some“robust”median quantities to be included in the upcoming Ki DS data releases.As a science validation test,we derive the mass function,the star formation rate function,and the SFR-M_(*)relation for a low-redshift(z<0.5)sample of galaxies,that result in excellent agreement with previous literature data.The final catalog,containing~290000 galaxies with redshift 0.01Linghua Xie Nicola R.Napolitano Xiaotong Guo Crescenzo Tortora Haicheng Feng Antonios Katsianis Rui Li Sirui Wu Mario Radovich Leslie K.Hunt Yang Wang Lin Tang Baitian Tang Zhiqi Huang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,12:0
