1Establishment and evaluation of a peanut association panel and analysis of key nutritional traits显示文摘Breeding programs aim to improve the yield and quality of peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.); using association mapping to identify genetic markers linked to these quantitative traits could facilitate selection efficiency. A peanut association panel was established consisting of 268 lines with extensive phenotypic and genetic variation, meeting the requirements for association analysis. These lines were grown over 3 years and the key agronomic traits, including protein and oil content were examined. Population structure(Q) analysis showed two subpopulations and clustering analysis was consistent with Q-based membership assignment and closely related to botanical type. Relative Kinship(K) indicated that most of the panel members have no or weak familial relatedness, with 52.78% of lines showing K ? 0. Linkagedisequilibrium(LD) analysis showed a high level of LD occurs in the panel. Model comparisons indicated false positives can be effectively controlled by taking Q and K into consideration and more false positives were generated by K than Q. A preliminary association analysis using a Q t K model found markers significantly associated with oil, protein, oleic acid, and linoleic acid, and identified a set of alleles with positive and negative effects. 2Molecular analysis of the chloroplast Cu/Zn-SOD gene(AhCSD2) in peanut显示文摘Superoxide dismutase(SOD, EC 1.15.1.1) plays a key role in response to drought stress, and differences in SOD activity changes among cultivars are important under drought conditions. We obtained the full-length DNA of the chloroplast Cu/Zn-SOD gene(Ah CSD2)from 11 allotetraploid cultivars and 5 diploid wild species in peanut. BLAST search against the peanut genome showed that the Ah CSD2 genes g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2 are located at the tops of chromosome A03(A genome) and B03(B genome), respectively, and both contain 8exons and 7 introns. Nucleotide sequence analyses indicated that g CSD2-2 sequences were identical among all the tested cultivars, while g CSD2-1 sequences showed allelic variations.The amino acid sequences deduced from g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2 both contain a chloroplast transit peptide and are distinguished by 6 amino acid(aa) residue differences. The other 2aa residue variations in the mature peptide regions give rise to three-dimensional structure changes of the protein deduced from the genes g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2. Sequences analyses of cultivars and wild species showed that g CSD2-2 of Arachis hypogaea and g Aip CSD2(Arachis ipaensis) are identical, and despite the abundant polymorphic loci between g CSD2-1 of A.hypogaea and sequences from A genome wild species, the deduced amino acid sequence of Ah CSD2-1(A. hypogaea) is identical to that of Adu CSD2(Arachis duranensis), whereas Aco CSD2(Arachis correntina) and Aca CSD2(Arachis cardenasii) both have 2 aa differences in the transit peptide region compared with Ah CSD2-1(A. hypogaea). Based on the Peanut Genome Project, promoter prediction revealed many stress-related cis-acting elements within the potential promoter regions(pp-A and pp-B). pp-A contains more binding sites for drought-associated transcriptional factors than pp-B. 3Erosive Wear and Wear Mechanism of in situ TiC_P/Fe Composites显示文摘The base structure of in situ TiCp/Fe composites fabricated under industrial condition was changed by differentheat treatments. Erosive wear tests were carried out and the results were compared with that of wear-resistant whitecast iron. The results suggest that the wear resistance of the in situ TiCP/Fe composite is higher than that ofwear-resistant white cast iron under the sand erosive wear condition. The wear mechanism of the wear-resistantwhite cast iron was a cycle process that base surface was worn and carbides were exposed, then carbides was brokenand wear pits appeared. While the wear mechanism of in situ TiCP/Fe composite was a cycle process that basesurface was worn and TiC grains were exposed and dropped. The wear resistance of in situ TiCP/Fe composite waslower than that of wear-resistant white cast iron under the slurry erosive wear condition. Under such circumstance,the material was not only undergone erosive wear but also electrochemistry erosion due to the contact with waterin the medium. 4Determining the critical size of a rabbit rib segmental bone defect model显示文摘In order to establish and standardize the rabbit rib segmental bone defect model,it is of vital importance to determine rabbit rib critical size defect(CSD).According to the general time needed for spontaneous long-bone regeneration,three-month observation period was set to determine the CSD.The rabbit rib segmental bone defects with different sizes from 1 to 5cm with or without periosteum were performed in the eighth rib of 4-month-old male New Zealand rabbits and underwent Xray examinations at the 4th,8th and 12th weeks postoperatively.The gross and histological examinations at postoperative week 12 were evaluated,which showed that the critical sizes in the rabbit rib models with and without periosteum were 5 and 2 cm,respectively.This study provides prerequisite data for establishing rabbit rib CSD model and evaluating bonematerials using this model.Fengzhen Liu Kun Chen Lei Hou Keyi Li Dawei Wang Bin Zhang Xiumei Wang 2016Regenerative Biomaterials2016,3,5:2
5Dynamics and manipulation of ferroelectric domain walls in bismuth ferrite thin films显示文摘Ferroelectric domain walls differ from domains not only in their crystalline and discrete symmetry,but also in their electronic,magnetic,and mechanical properties.Although domain walls provide a degree of freedom to regulate the physical properties at the nanoscale;the relatively lower controllability prevents their practical applications in nano-devices.In this work;with the advantages of 3D domain configuration detection based on piezoresponse force microscopy;we find that the mobility of three types of domain walls(tail-to-tail,head-to-tail,head-to-head)in(001)BiFeO3 films varies with the applied electrical field.Under low voltages;head-to-tail domain walls are more mobile than other domain walls;while,under high voltages,tail-to-tail domain walls become rather active and possess relatively long average lengths.This is due to the high nucleation energy and relatively low growth energy for charged domain walls.Finally;we demonstrate the manipulation of domain walls through successive electric writings,resulting in well-aligned conduction paths as designed;paving the way for their application in advanced spintronic;memory and communication nano-devices.Shuyu Xiao Yaming Jin Xiaomei Lu Sang-Wook Cheong Jiangyu Li Yang Li Fengzhen Huang Jinsong Zhu 2020National Science Review2020,7,2:2
6Multiscale ApEn and SampEn in Quantifying Nonlinear Complexity of Depressed MEG显示文摘Depression is a neurophysiological disorder with recurrent dysregulations of self-mental states.Multiscale Approximate entropy(ApEn)and Sample entropy(SampEn)are employed to characterize nonlinear complexity of Magnetoencephalography(MEG)of depressive patients in our contribution.SampEn shares similarities with ApEn while has better distinctions between the MEGs of depression patients and normal people.Test results prove that nonlinear complexity of the depressive MEG is lower than that of the normal subjects,indicating weaker response of depression patients to emotional stimuli,and the optimum discriminations between the depressive and healthy people lie in frontal lobe of brain which is related to emotional regulation.Our findings provide valuable information about depression,highlight the loss of nonlinear complexity in MEG of depressive patient and can be used as clinical diagnostic aids.YAO Wenpo HU Hui WANG Jun YAN Wei LI Jin HOU Fengzhen 2019Chinese Journal of Electronics2019,28,4:2

8Preparation, optimization, and characterization of chitosancoated solid lipid nanoparticles for ocular drug delivery显示文摘The present study aimed to develop and optimize chitosan coated solid lipid nanoparticles(chitosan-SLNs)encapsulated with methazolamide. Chitosan-SLNs were successfully prepared by a modified oil-in-water emulsification-solvent evaporation method with glyceryl monostearate as the solid lipid and phospholipid as the surfactant. Systematic screening of formulation factors was carried out. The optimized formula for preparation was screened by orthogonal design as well as Box-Behnken design with entrapment efficiency, particle size and zeta potential as the indexes. The entrapment efficiency of the optimized formulation(methazolamide-chitosan-SLNs)prepared was(58.5± 4.5)%,Particle size(247.7 ± 17.3) nm and zeta potential(33.5 ±3.9) mV. Transmission electron microscopy showed homogeneous spherical particles in the nanometer range. A prolonged methazolamide in vitro release profile was obtained in the optimized chitosan-SLNs suspension compared with methazolamide solution. No ocular damages were observed in the susceptibility test on albino rabbits. 9High rate deposition of microcrystalline silicon films by high-pressure radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD)显示文摘Hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon (μc-Si:H) thin films were prepared by high- pressure radio-frequency (13.56 MHz) plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (rf-PECVD) with a screened plasma. The deposition rate and crystallinity varying with the deposition pressure, rf power, hydrogen dilution ratio and electrodes distance were systematically studied. By optimizing the deposition parameters the device quality μc-Si:H films have been achieved with a high deposition rate of 7.8 /s at a high pressure. 13Pathogenicity of Cell Wall Degrading Enzymes Produced by Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat. against Mangoes显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to confirm the roles of cell wall degrading enzymes (CWDEs) produced by Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat.in the infection of mango fruits. [Method] Change of activities of five types of CWDEs produced by B. theobromae Pat.were studied under both in vitro culture and inoculation conditions,along with the pathogenicity and the ability of producing CWDEs of four post-harvest fungal pathogens(B. theobromae Pat.,Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. ,Phomopsis mangiferae Ahmad and Dothiorella dominicana Pet. et Cif.) which cause stem-end rot of mangoes. [Result]B. theobromae Pat. was able to produce polygalacturonase(PG),pectinmethylgalacturonase(PMG),polygalacturonic acid trans-eliminase (PGTE),pectin methyltrans-eliminase (PMTE) and cellulase (Cx.) under both in vitro culture and inoculation conditions,of which activities of PG,Cx and PMG were significantly higher in than that in either PGTE or PMTE. Among three primary CWDEs,the peak of activities of PG and Cx appeared earlier and that of PMG occured later. 14Integrin α_(v)β_(3)-targeted polydopamine-coated gold nanostars for photothermal ablation therapy of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Photothermal therapy(PTT)has emerged as a promising cancer therapeutic method.In this study,Arg-Gly-Asp(RGD)peptide-conjugated polydopamine-coated gold nanostars(Au@PDA-RGD NPs)were prepared for targeting PTT of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).A polydopamine(PDA)shell was coated on the surface of gold nanostars by the oxidative self-polymerization of dopamine(termed as Au@PDA NPs).Au@PDA NPs were further functionalized with polyethylene glycol and RGD peptide to improve biocompatibility as well as selectivity toward the HCC cells.Au@PDARGD NPs showed an intense absorption at 822 nm,which makes them suitable for near-infraredexcited PTT.Our results indicated that the Au@PDA-RGD NPs were effective for the PTT therapy of the α_(v)β_(3) integrin receptor-overexpressed HepG2 cells in vitro.Further antitumor mechanism studies showed that the Au@PDA-RGD NPs-based PTT induced human liver cancer cells death via the mitochondrial-lysosomal and autophagy pathways.In vivo experiments showed that Au@PDARGD NPs had excellent tumor treatment efficiency and negligible side effects.Thus,our study showed that Au@PDA-RGD NPs could offer an excellent nanoplatform for PTT of HCC.Yang Li Ping Hu Xiali Wang Xu Hou Fengzhen Liu Xiaohong Jiang 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,5:0
15Analysis and Verification of the Conserved MYB Binding Element in the DFR Promoter in Compositae显示文摘Anthocyanins,ubiquitous in the Compositae family,are regulated by MYB(v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog),playing an important role in anthocyanin synthesis.In this study,we analyzed the regulation pathway in which the MYB protein of subgroup 6 promotes dihydroflavonol reductase(DFR)expression in Compositae,and validated this law in Saussurea medusa through yeast one-hybrid experiments.Our results showed that MYB and DFR underwent purification selection,DFR promoter analysis revealed the presence of MYB binding site(GAGTTGAATGG)and bHLH binding site(CANNTG)at the sense strand of 84–116 nucleotide residues from the start codon.These two motifs were separated by 9–10 nucleotide residues,as existed in the DFR promoters of many Compositae plants.Furthermore,the yeast one-hybrid experiment demonstrated that SmMYB1 can activate the promoter of SmDFR.Our results provide a reference for further functional study of DFR in Compositae.Jialei Guo Fengzhen Li Guomin Shi Weimin Zhao Tao He 2024Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,2:0
16Zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization of macrocyclic ethyleneoxy-substituted carbonate:Access to cyclic PEG-like polycarbonate显示文摘The innovation in polymer design to rival conventional polyethylene glycol(PEG)is an important approach to achieving a more sustainable society.Here,cyclic PEG-like polycarbonates having high molecular weight(4.4–49.5 kg/mol)were enabled through zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization(ZROP)of macrocyclic carbonates(MCs)mediated by N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC).The thermodynamic behavior of polymerization depends on the ring size of monomers.During this process,the ZROP of 11-membered MC was driven by the change of enthalpy(ΔH_(p))which differed from the ZROP of 14-membered MC driven by the entropic change(ΔS_(p)).Cyclic polycarbonates depicted improved thermostability(T_(d5%)≥204℃)and higher glass transition temperatures(T_(g)>–40℃)in comparison to their linear analogues(T_(d5%)≤185℃,T_(g)~–50℃).In addition,the mechanism of ZROP of MC was addressed through computational study.A distinct mechanism of polymerization distinguishable from the well-known NHC-mediated ZROP of cyclic esters was revealed,where the zwitterion from nucleophilic addition to MC,i.e.tetrahedral intermediate,cannot be ring-opened probably due to the delocalization of negative charge on the carbonate group,but serves as an active center for the polymerization.In comparison to PEG,the attained polymer demonstrated comparable hydrophilic and biocompatible properties,as revealed by the results of contact angle and in vitro cytotoxicity studies,suggesting that cyclic polycarbonate hold the promise as the alternative of PEG.Jin Huang Jinwen Li Rui Yan Yuanyuan Qu Fengzhen Guo Lei Shen Can-liang Ma Jie Sun Zhenjiang Li Kai Guo 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3:0
17Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Different Mechanisms of Adaptation to Environment among Three Species of Saussurea DC.显示文摘Saussurea medusa,Saussurea hypsipeta and Saussurea obvallata are typical alpine snowline plants growing in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.They are characterized by a specialized morphology.S.medusa and S.hypsipeta have very dense trichomes on whole plant,whereas S.obvallata has transparent bracts covered inflorescences.The different forms reflect their adaptation to cold environments.To investigate the different mechanisms of adaptation of these species to cold temperatures,transcriptome sequencing was performed in three species of Saussurea DC.A total of 116394137237 and 113879 Unigenes were identified from S.medusa,S.hypsipeta and S.obvallata,respectively.Of these,55909(48.03%),65519(47.74%)and 51889(45.56%)Unigenes were matched in public databases.GO analysis identified that most of annotated Unigenes in the three species of plants were related to cellular,metabolic,and single−organism processes,and binding and catalytic activities.The differential expression of 37 genes related to environmental adaptation were discovered by pairwise comparisons.Of these,two candidate genes(Interaptin-like and CSLB3)related to trichome development were identified only in S.medusa and S.hypsipeta,which was consistent with their distinct morphology.Our data can provide a valuable resource for the further studies on the adaptive mechanisms of molecular and functional ecology in Saussurea DC.Weimin Zhao Fengzhen Li Guomin Shi Jialei Guo Guifang He Tao He 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,7:0

19Estimation of target depth using deep-sea echo multipath structure matching显示文摘This paper presents a method to estimate the depth of deep-sea target by matching the time delay and amplitude structure of echo multipath highlight clusters.The echo structure is the convolution of two-way channel transfer function as well as the acoustic scattering function of the target,which shows the characteristics of deep-sea highlight clusters when the target is close to the sea surface or near the sea bottom.The time delay and amplitude structure of highlight clusters are related to the target depth,which can be used to estimate the target depth.A method of matching estimation of target depth on range-depth grid using nonlinear programming cost function is established.The mismatch effects of inter-cluster time delay interval deviation and sea water sound velocity profile deviation on matching estimation are simulated and analyzed.The results of a winter experiment in the South China Sea illustrate that when the water depth is 1 km and distance is 5–8 km,the echo of target is 40 m underwater,there are three highlight clusters with a time interval of about 0.3 s,with the error range of target depth matching estimation being 0–65 m.ZHANG Fengzhen LI Guijuan HU Wenshuai HU Chen 2023Chinese Journal of Acoustics2023,42,3:0
