| 2 | The Coix Genome Provides Insights into Panicoideae Evolution and Papery Hull Domestication显示文摘Coix is a grass crop domesticated as early as the Neolithic era.It is still widely cultivated for both highly nutritional food and medicinal use.However,the genetic study and breeding of this crop are hindered by the lack of a sequenced genome.Here,we report de novo sequencing and assembly of the 1619-Mb genome of Coix,and annotation of 75.39%repeats and 39629 protein-coding genes.Comparative genomics analysis showed that Coix is more closely related to sorghum than maize,but intriguingly only Coix and maize had a recent genome duplication event,which was not detected in sorghum.We further constructed a genetic map and mapped several important traits,especially the strength of hull.Selection of papery hull(thin:easy dehulling)from the stony hull(thick:difficult dehulling)in wild progenitors was a key step in Coix domestication.The papery hull makes seed easier to process and germinate.Anatomic and global transcriptome analysis revealed that the papery hull is a result of inhibition of cell division and wall biogenesis.We also successfully demonstrated that seed hull pressure resistance is controlled by two major quantitative trait loci(QTLs),which are associated with hull thickness and color,respectively.The two QTLs were further fine mapped within intervals of 250 kb and 146 kb,respectively.These resources provide a platform for evolutionary studies and will facilitate molecular breeding of this important crop. | Chao Guo Yanan Wang Aiguo Yang Jun He Chaowen Xiao Shanhua Lv Fengming Han Yibing Yuan Yuan Yuan Xiaolong Dong Juan Guo YawenYang-Hailan Liu Ningzhi Zuo Yaxi Hu Kangxu Zhao Zhengbo Jiang Xing Wang Tingting Jiang Yaou Sherf Moju Cao Yuan Wang Zhaobo Long Tingzhao Rong Luqi Huang Shufeng Zhou | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,2: | 11 |
| 3 | Application of Land-use Change Model in Guiding Regional Planning:A Case Study in Hun-Taizi River Watershed,Northeast China显示文摘This paper firstly investigated the land-use and land-cover change (LUCC) in the Hun-Taizi River watershed, Northeast China from 1988 to 2004 based on remotely sensed images and geographic information systems (GIS) technology. Then, using the famous land-use change model of Conversion of Land Use and its Effects at Small regional extent (CLUE-S), this paper simulated the land use changes under historical trend (HT), urban planning (UP) and ecological protection (EP) scenarios considering urban planning and ecological protection over the next 20 years. The simulated results under UP scenario in 2020 were compared with the planning map to assess the feasibility of using land-use change model to guide regional planning. Results show that forest land, dry farmland, paddy, and shrub land were the main land-use categories. Paddy and dry farmland being converted to urban area and rural settlement characterized the land-use change from 1988 to 2004. The main land-use categories changed over time. Landscape-pattern fragmentation will be worse under HT and UP scenarios, but better in EP scenario. The comparing results of simulated map with planning map in 2020 show that land-use change model is powerful tool to guide regional planning. | 4 | An Adaptive Weighted Differential Game Guidance Law显示文摘For intercepting modern high maneuverable targets, a novel adaptive weighted differential game guidance law based on the game theory of mixed strategy is proposed, combining two guidance laws which are derived from the perfect and imperfect information pattern, respectively. The weights vary according to the estimated error of the target's acceleration, the guidance law is generated by directly using the estimation of target's acceleration when the estimated error is small, and a differential game guidance law with adaptive penalty coefficient is implemented when the estimated error is large. The adaptive penalty coefficients are not constants and they can be adjusted with current target maneuverability. | 5 | Severe human infection with a novel avian-origin influenza A(H7N4) virus显示文摘Human infections with influenza H7 subtypes, such as H7N9, have raised concerns worldwide. Here, we report a human infection with a novel influenza A(H7N4) virus. A 68 years-old woman with cardiovascular and cholecystic comorbidities developed rapidly progressed pneumonia with influenza-like-illness as initial symptom, recovered after 23 days-hospitalization including 8 days in ICU. Laboratory indicators for liver and blood coagulation dysfunction were observed. Oseltamivir phosphate, glucocorticoids and antibiotics were jointly implemented, with nasal catheterization of oxygen inhalation for this patient.We obtained the medical records and collected serial respiratory and blood specimens from her. We collected throat, cloacal and/or feces samples of poultry and wild birds from the patient's backyard, neighborhood, local live poultry markets(LPMs) and the nearest lake. All close contacts of the patient were followed up and sampled with throat swabs and sera. Influenza viruses and other respiratory pathogens were tested by real-time RT-PCR, viral culturing and/or sequencing for human respiratory and bird samples. Micro-neutralizing assay was performed for sera. A novel reassortant wild bird-origin H7N4 virus is identified from the patient and her backyard poultry(chickens and ducks) by sequencing, which is distinct from previously-reported avian H7N4 and H7N9 viruses. At least four folds increase of neutralizing antibodies to H7N4 was detected in her convalescent sera. | 7 | Sweet spot evaluation and exploration practice of lacustrine shale oil of the second member of Kongdian Formation in Cangdong sag, Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘Based on core,thin section,X-ray diffraction,rock pyrolysis,CT scanning,nuclear magnetic resonance and oil testing data,the macro and micro components,sedimentary structure characteristics,of Paleogene Kong 2 Member in Cangdong sag of Huanghua depression and evaluation standard and method of shale oil reservoir were studied to sort out the best shale sections for shale oil horizontal wells.According to the dominant rock type,rhythmic structure and logging curve characteristics,four types of shale lithofacies were identified,namely,thin-layered dolomitic shale,lamellar mixed shale,lamellar felsic shale,and bedded dolomitic shale,and the Kong 21 sub-member was divided into four quasi-sequences,PS1 to PS4.The PS1 shale has a porosity higher than 6%,clay content of less than 20%,and S1 of less than 4 mg/g;the PS2 shale has well-developed laminar structure,larger pore and throat size,better connectivity of pores and throats,high contents of TOC and movable hydrocarbon,S1 of over 4 mg/g,clay content of less than 20%,and porosity of more than 4%;PS3 shale has S1 value higher than 6 mg/g and clay content of 20%-30%,and porosity of less than 4%;and PS4 shale has lower TOC content and low oil content.Shale oil reservoir classification criterion based on five parameters,free hydrocarbon content S1,shale rhythmic structure,clay content,TOC and porosity,was established.The evaluation method of shale oil sweet spot by using the weighted five parameters,and the evaluation index EI were proposed.Through comprehensive analysis,it is concluded that PS2 is best in quality and thus the dual geological and engineering sweet spot of shale oil,PS3 and PS1 come next,the former is more geologic sweet spot,the latter more engineering sweet spot,and PS4 is the poorest.Several vertical and horizontal wells drilled in the PS2 and PS3 sweet spots obtained high oil production.Among them,Well 1701 H has produced stably for 623 days,with cumulative production of over 10000 tons,showing bright exploration prospects of Kong 2 Member shale oil. | HAN Wenzhong ZHAO Xianzheng JIN Fengming PU Xiugang CHEN Shiyue MU Liangang ZHANG Wei SHI Zhannan WANG Hu | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Quantitative evaluation of lateral sealing of extensional fault by an integral mathematical-geological model显示文摘To evaluate the lateral sealing mechanism of extensional fault based on the pressure difference between fault and reservoir, an integral mathematical-geological model of diagenetic time on diagenetic pressure considering the influence of diagenetic time on the diagenetic pressure and diagenetic degree of fault rock has been established to quantitatively calculate the lateral sealing ability of extensional fault. By calculating the time integral of the vertical stress and horizontal in-situ stress on the fault rock and surrounding rock, the burial depth of the surrounding rock with the same clay content and diagenesis degree as the target fault rock was worked out. In combination with the statistical correlation of clay content, burial depth and displacement pressure of rock in the study area, the displacement pressure of target fault rock was calculated quantitatively. The calculated displacement pressure was compared with that of the target reservoir to quantitatively evaluate lateral sealing state and ability of the extensional fault. The method presented in this work was used to evaluate the sealing of F_(1), F_(2) and F_(3) faults in No.1 structure of Nanpu Sag, and the results were compared with those from fault-reservoir displacement pressure differential methods without considering the diagenetic time and simple considering the diagenetic time. | 11 | Study on Forecast Scenarios for Simulation of Future Urban Growth in Shenyang City Based on SLEUTH Model显示文摘The SLEUTH urban growth model was used to simulate future urban growth patterns and to explore potential environ-mental impacts of urban development under different conditions of development in Shenyang City, China. The SLEUTH model was calibrated with historical data (1988-2004) extracted from a time series of TM satellite images, and the future growth was pro-jected out to 2030 assuming three different policy scenarios: (1) current trends scenario (Scenario CT), (2) regional policy and ur-ban planning scenario (Scenario PP), and (3) environmental protection scenario (Scenario EP). Scenario analysis showed that urban growth would accelerate under all policy scenarios with significant differences in development pattern and sustainability after 2016. Urban development under Scenario CT would lead to substantial loss of resource lands than that under the other two scenarios, and the urban landscape pattern would be increasingly complex and dispersed. In contrast, urban growth under scenario PP and EP would consume less natural resource land and show a relatively compact urban development pattern during the prediction period. This study suggested that it is crucial to take stringent urban planning and management measures to control future urban growth and to protect primary farmland and the support system of urban ecology in Shenyang City. | 12 | Discovery of IHMT-337 as a potent irreversible EZH2 inhibitor targeting CDK4 transcription for malignancies显示文摘Enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2),an enzymatic subunit of PRC2 complex,plays an important role in tumor development and progression through its catalytic and noncatalytic activities.Overexpression or gain-of-function mutations of EZH2 have been significantly associated with tumor cell proliferation of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).As a result,it has gained interest as a potential therapeutic target.The currently available EZH2 inhibitors,such as EPZ6438 and GSK126,are of benefit for clinical using or reached clinical trials.However,certain cancers are resistant to these enzymatic inhibitors due to its noncatalytic or transcriptional activity through modulating nonhistone proteins.Thus,it may be more effective to synergistically degrade EZH2 in addition to enzymatic inhibition.Here,through a rational design and chemical screening,we discovered a new irreversible EZH2 inhibitor,IHMT-337,which covalently bounds to and degrades EZH2 via the E3 ligase CHIP-mediated ubiquitination pathway.Moreover,we revealed that IHMT-337 affects cell cycle progression in TNBC cells through targeting transcriptional regulating of CDK4,a novel PRC2 complex-and enzymatic activity-independent function of EZH2.More significantly,our compound inhibits both DLBCL and TNBC cell proliferation in different preclinical models in vitro and in vivo.Taken together,our findings demonstrate that in addition to enzymatic inhibition,destroying of EZH2 by IHMT-337 could be a promising therapeutic strategy for TNBC and other malignancies that are independent of EZH2 enzymatic activity. | Husheng Mei Hong Wu Jing Yang Bin Zhou Aoli Wang Chen Hu Shuang Qi Zongru Jiang Fengming Zou Beilei Wang Feiyang Liu Yongfei Chen Wenchao Wang Jing Liu Qingsong Liu | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2: | 0 |

| 14 | Benefit analysis of multi-approach biomass energy utilization toward carbon neutrality显示文摘To reduce greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,biomass has been increasingly developed as a renewable and clean alternative to fossil fuels because of its carbon-neutral characteristics.China has been investigating the rational development and use of bioenergy for developing its clean energy and achieving carbon neutrality.Substituting fossil fuels with multi-source and multi-approach utilized bioenergy and corresponding carbon reduction in China remain largely unexplored.Here,a comprehensive bioenergy accounting model with a multi-dimensional analysis was developed by combining spatial,life cycle,and multi-path analyses.Accordingly,the bioenergy production potential and GHG emission reduction for each distinct type of biomass feedstock through different conversion pathways were estimated.The sum of all available organic waste(21.55 EJ yr^(-1))and energy plants on marginal land(11.77 EJ yr^(-1))in China produced 23.30 EJ of bioenergy and reduced 2,535.32 Mt CO_(2)-eq emissions,accounting for 19.48%and 25.61%of China’s total energy production and carbon emissions in 2020,respectively.When focusing on the carbon emission mitigation potential of substituting bioenergy for conventional counterparts,bioelectricity was the most effective,and its potential was 4.45 and 8.58 times higher than that of gaseous and liquid fuel alternatives,respectively.In this study,life cycle emission reductions were maximized by a mix of bioenergy end uses based on biomass properties,with an optimal 78.56%bioenergy allocation from biodiesel,densified solid biofuel,biohydrogen,and biochar.The main regional bioenergy GHG mitigation focused on the Jiangsu,Sichuan,Guangxi,Henan,and Guangdong provinces,contributing to 31.32%of the total GHG mitigation potential.This study provides valuable guidance on exploiting untapped biomass resources in China to secure carbon neutrality by 2060. | Jiaoyue Wang Jingying Fu Zhitong Zhao Longfei Bing Fengming Xi Feng Wang Jiang Dong Shiyun Wang Gang Lin Yan Yin Qinqin Hu | 2023 | The Innovation2023,4,3: | 0 |
| 15 | A Serum Biomarker Model to Diagnose Pancreatic Cancer Using Proteomic Fingerprint Technology显示文摘OBJECTIVE To establish a serum protein pattern model for screening pancreatic cancer. METHODS Twenty-nine serum samples from patients with pancreatic cancer were collected before surgery,and an additional 57 serum samples from age and sex-matched individuals without cancer were used as controls.WCX magnetic beans and a PBS Ⅱ-C protein chip reader (Ciphergen Biosystems Inc) were employed to detect the protein fingerprint expression of all serum samples. The resulting profiles comparing serum from cancer and normal patients were analyzed with the Biomarker Wizard system,to establish a model using the Biomarker Pattern system software. A double-blind test was used to determine the sensitivity and specificity of the model. RESULTS A group of 4 biomarkers(relative molecular weights were 5,705 Da,4,935 Da,5,318 Da,3,243 Da) were selected to set up a decision tree to produce the classification model to effectively screen pancreatic cancer patients.The results yielded a sensitivity of 100%(20/20),specificity of 97.4% (37/38).The ROC curve was 99.7%.A double-blind test used to challenge the model resulted in a sensitivity of 88.9% and a specificity of 89.5%. | 18 | Detecting spatio-temporal urban surface changes using identified temporary coherent scatterers显示文摘Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) is able to detect surface changes in urban areas with a short revisit time, showing its capability in disaster assessment and urbanization monitoring.Most presented change detection methods are conducted using couples of SAR amplitude images. However, a prior date of surface change is required to select a feasible image pair. We propose an automatic spatio-temporal change detection method by identifying the temporary coherent scatterers. Based on amplitude time series, χ^(2)-test and iterative single pixel change detection are proposed to identify all step-times: the moments of the surface change. Then the parameters, e.g., deformation velocity and relative height, are estimated and corresponding coherent periods are identified by using interferometric phase time series. With identified temporary coherent scatterers, different types of temporal surface changes can be classified using the location of the coherent periods and spatial significant changes are identified combining point density and F values. The main advantage of our method is automatically detecting spatio-temporal surface changes without prior information.
