| 2 | Friction and Wear Behavior of Resin/Graphite Composite under Dry Sliding显示文摘The friction and wear behavior of resin/graphite composite has been investigated using a pin-on-disc configuration under dry sliding condition. The results showed that the resin/graphite composite exhibited much better mechanical and tribological properties compared with the unimpregnated graphite. The friction coefficient was reduced by addition of furan resin, which could also prevent the'dusting' wear at loads more than 15 MPa. The steady and lubricated transfer film was easily formed on the counterpart surface due to the interaction of furan resin and wear debris of graphite, which was useful to reduce the wear rate of the resin/graphite composite. | 5 | Curcuminoids Target Decreasing Serum Adipocyte-fatty Acid Binding Protein Levels in Their Glucose-lowering Effect in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes显示文摘Whether supplementation of curcuminoids decreases serum adipocyte-fatty acid binding protein(A-FABP) level and whether this decrease benefits glucose control is unclear.One-hundred participants(n=50 administered curcuminoids,n=50 administered placebo) from our previous report on the effect of curcuminoids on type 2 diabetes in a 3-month intervention were assessed for levels of serum A-FABP,oxidative stress,and inflammatory biomarkers.Curcuminoids supplementation led to significant decreases in serum A-FABP,C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-6 levels.Curcuminoids supplementation also significantly increased serum superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity.The change in serum A-FABP levels showed positive correlations with changes in levels of glucose,free fatty acids(FFAs),and CRP in subjects supplemented with curcuminoids.Further stepwise regression analysis showed that A-FABP was an independent predictor for levels of FFAs,SOD,and CRP.These results suggest that curcuminoids may exert anti-diabetic effects,at least in part,by reductions in serum A-FABP level.A-FABP reduction is associated with improved metabolic parameters in human type 2 diabetes. | NA Li Xin YAN Bo Lin JIANG Shuo CUI Hong Li LI Ying SUN Chang Hao | 2014 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2014,27,11: | 6 |

| 8 | Temporal regulation of prenatal embryonic development by paternal imprinted loci显示文摘Paternal imprinted genes(H19 and Gtl2)are pivotal for prenatal embryonic development in mice.Nongrowing oocytes and sperm-or oocyte-originated haploid embryonic stem cells(ha ESCs)carrying both H19-DMR(differentially DNA-methylated region)and IG(intergenic)-DMR deletions that partially mimic paternal imprinting of H19-Igf2 and Dlk1-Dio3 can be employed as sperm replacement to efficiently support full-term embryonic development.However,how H19-DMR and IG-DMR act together to regulate embryonic development is still largely unknown.Here,using androgenetic ha ESC(AG-ha ESC)-mediated semi-cloned(SC)technology,we showed that paternal H19-DMR and IG-DMR are not essential for pre-implantation development of SC embryos generated through injection of AG-ha ESCs into oocytes.H19-DMR plays critical roles before 12.5 days of gestation while IG-DMR is essential for late-gestation of SC embryos.Interestingly,we found that combined deletions of H19 and H19-DMR can further improve the efficiency of normal development of SC embryos at mid-gestation compared to DKO SC embryos.Transcriptome and histology analyses revealed that H19 and H19-DMR combined deletions rescue the placental defects.Furthermore,we showed that H19,H19-DMR and IG-DMR deletions(TKO)give rise to better prenatal and postnatal embryonic development of SC embryos compared to DKO.Together,our results indicate the temporal regulation of paternal imprinted loci during embryonic development. | Qing Li Yuanyuan Li Qi Yin Shuo Huang Kai Wang Liangchai Zhuo Wei Li Boran Chang Jinsong Li | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,1: | 4 |
| 9 | OsbZIP60-mediated unfolded protein response regulates grain chalkiness in rice显示文摘Grain chalkiness,an undesirable trait caused by complex factors,has great negative impacts on the quality and economic value of rice.However,little is known about the regulatory mechanism of grain chalkiness,particularly the effect of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.Here,a genome-wide association study(GWAS)reveals that the transcription factor Osb ZIP60 is a vital regulator of rice grain chalkiness.Genetic analysis demonstrates that knockout of Osb ZIP60 results in extremely high grain chalkiness and aberrant structure of storage substances.Notably,the expression of unfolded protein response(UPR)genes,such as OsbZIP50,Os Bi P1,Os Bi P2 and Os Bi P3,is up-regulated in the endosperm cells of osbzip60,and overexpression of all these UPR genes causes various degrees of chalkiness.Furthermore,Osb ZIP60 is found to activate the expression of key genes related to grain chalkiness,such as GPA3,FSE1,FLO7,Chalk5,Os NF-YB1,and Os PK2,whose expression is significantly suppressed in osbzip60 and overexpression lines of Osb ZIP50,Os Bi P1,Os Bi P2,and Os Bi P3.Our study provides novel insights into the function of Osb ZIP60 and the role of the UPR pathway in the formation of grain chalkiness in rice. | Weiping Yang Pengkun Xu Juncheng Zhang Shuo Zhang Zhenwei Li Ke Yang Xinyuan Chang Yibo Li | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5: | 4 |

| 13 | Oxide transformation and break-up of liquid metal in boiling solutions显示文摘The non-toxic gallium-based liquid metals(LMs) are promising for various newly emerging areas due to having excellent fluidity, high electrical and heat conductivity. However, the oxide layers often affect their applications. In this paper, we disclosed a straightforward boiling strategy to efficiently remove the oxide of LM in deionized water. Meanwhile such method was also demonstrated to be capable of quickly breaking up LM into droplets(mean 0.51 mm, SD 0.20 mm) in Na Cl solution,which has important value for manufacture purpose. According to the force analysis, surface tension of LM dominates the interaction between solution bubbles and LM under the same heating conditions. Then we characterized the surface morphology and compositions of LM droplets boiled(LMDB) using scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and tested the dynamic force between a rod and LMDB. It was shown that after being boiled in water, most of Ga2O3 was transformed to scattered α-Ga OOH nanorods which has less restriction to the deformation of LM and large resistance force(0.8 mN) was tested;otherwise, after boiled in Na Cl solution, more Ga2 O3 with contact patch structure reduces the surface resistance of LM(0.2 m N) and makes it to be broken up by bubbles. The different surface products are determined by the inhibition of hydrolysis of Ga3+by Na Cl solution. This study paved a simple way for oxide removal in neutral solution and mass production of LMD. | 17 | In Vitro Anti-hepatitis B Virus Activity of 2',3'-Dideoxyguanosine显示文摘2',3'-dideoxyguanosine(DoG) has been demonstrated to inhibit duck hepatitis B virus(DHBV) replication in vivo in a duck model of HBV infection. In the current study, the in vitro antiviral effects of DoG on human and animal hepadnaviruses were investigated. Our results showed that DoG effectively inhibited HBV, DHBV, and woodchuck hepatitis virus(WHV)replication in hepatocyte-derived cells in a dose-dependent manner, with 50% effective concentrations(EC50) of 0.3 ± 0.05, 6.82 ± 0.25, and 23.0 ± 1.5 lmol/L, respectively. Similar to other hepadnaviral DNA polymerase inhibitors,DoG did not alter the levels of intracellular viral RNA but induced the accumulation of a less-than-full-length viral RNA species, which was recently demonstrated to be generated by RNase H cleavage of pgRNA. Furthermore, using a transient transfection assay, DoG showed similar antiviral activity against HBV wild-type, 3TC-resistant rtA181 V, and adefovirresistant rtN236T mutants.
