| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating for subduction-related gran-itic rocks in the northern part of east Junggar, Xinjiang显示文摘SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating on the Xileketehalasu granodiorite porphyry and Kalasayi monodiorite porphyry that intrude middle Devonian Beitashan Formation at the north part of east Junggar region shows that they were formed at 381±6 Ma and 376±10 Ma respectively. They are interpreted as subduction-related granitic rocks, which is the first report that the isotopic ages for the granitic rocks range from 350 to 390 Ma. Another determined age for the Kalasayi monodiorite porphyry is 408±9 Ma, representing the age of underlain Lower Devonian volcanic rocks. Thus, the U-Pb dates suggest that the northeastward subduction of Junggar ocean from southwest occurred at 408 to 376 Ma (the real inter- val may be larger). | 3 | A novel m6A reader Prrc2a controls oligodendroglial specification and myelination显示文摘While N6-methyladenosine (m6A), the most abundant internal modification in eukaryotic mRNA, is linked to cell differentiation and tissue development, the biological significance of m6A modification in mammalian glial development remains unknown. Here, we identify a novel m6A reader, Prrc2a (Proline rich coiled-coil 2A), which controls oligodendrocyte specification and myelination. Nestin-Cre-mediated knockout of Prrc2a induces significant hypomyelination, decreased lifespan, as well as locomotive and cognitive defects in a mouse model. Further analyses reveal that Prrc2a is involved in oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) proliferation and oligodendrocyte fate determination. Accordingly, oligodendroglial-lineage specific deletion of Prrc2a causes a similar phenotype of Nestin-Cre-mediated deletion. Combining transcriptome-wide RNA-seq, m6A-RIP-seq and Prrc2a RIP-seq analysis, we find that Olig2 is a critical downstream target gene of Prrc2a in oligodendrocyte development. Furthermore, Prrc2a stabilizes Olig2 mRNA through binding to a consensus GGACU motif in the Olig2 CDS (coding sequence) in an m6A-dependent manner. Interestingly, we also find that the m6A demethylase, Fto, erases the m6A modification of Olig2 mRNA and promotes its degradation. Together, our results indicate that Prrc2a plays an important role in oligodendrocyte specification through functioning as a novel m6A reader. | 4 | Effect of Slash Burning on Nutrient Removal and Soil Fertility in Chinese Fir and Evergreen Broadleaved Forests of Mid-Subtropical China显示文摘A Chinese fir forest (Cunninghamia lanceolata, CF) and an evergreen broadleaved forest (EB) located inFujian Province, southeastern China, were examined following slash burning to compare nutrient capital andtopsoil properties with pre-burn levels. After fire, nutrient (N, P and K) removal from burning residues wasestimated at 302.5 kg ha-1 in the CF and 644.8 kg ha-1 in the EB. Fire reduced the topsoil capitals of totalN and P by about 20% and 10%, respectively, in both forests, while K capital was increased in the topsoils ofboth forests following fire. Total site nutrient loss through surface erosion was 28.4 kg (N) ha-1, 8.4 kg (P)ha-1 and 328.7 kg (K) ha-1 in the CF. In the EB, the losses of total N, P and K were 58.5, 10.5 and 396.3kg ha-1, respectively. Improvement of soil structure and increase in mineralization of nutrients associatedwith increased microbe number and enzyme activities and elevated soil respiration occurred 5 days after fire.However, organic matter and available nutrient contents and most of other soil parameters declined one yearafter fire on the burned CF and EB topsoils. These results suggest that short-term site productivity canbe stimulated immediately, but reduced subsequently by soil and water losses, especially in South China,where high-intensity precipitation, steep slopes and fragile soil can be expected. | 5 | Biological productivity and carbon cycling in the Arctic Ocean显示文摘Primary production, bacterial production, par-ticulate organic carbon fluxes and organic carbon burial rates were quantified during the summer period of 1999 in the Arctic Ocean via 14C uptake, 3H uptake, 234Th/238U disequilibrium and 210Pbex dating, respectively. The integrated primary production in the water column was as high as 197 mmolC/(m2·d) in the Chukchi shelf and was 3.8 mmolC/(m2·d) in the Canada Basin. These rates are higher than those reported previously. The ratios of bacterial production to primary production in the study region were higher than 0.5, indicating that microbial activity is not depressed but important in cold Arctic waters. 234Th/238U dis-equilibria were evident at the station in the Canada Basin. The presence of significant 234Th deficiency suggested that scavenging and removal processes are also important to bio-geochemical cycles of trace elements in the Arctic Ocean. | 6 | Soil Fertility in Agroforestry System of Chinese Fir and Villous Amomum in Subtropical China显示文摘A trial of interplanting and non-interplanting villous amomum (Amomum villosum Lour.) under the canopy of Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata Hook.) at age 22 was established in Sanming, Fujian of China, and a survey on soil fertility was carried out 10 years after its establishment. Compared with the control (non-interplanting), the properties of soil humus in agroforestry system were ameliorated, with a higher level of humification and resynthesis of organic detritus. The soil microbial population and enzymatic activities were both higher under the influence of villous amomum. Both the nutrient supplying and nutrient conserving capacities of the soil were improved. | 7 | U-Pb dating of zircon from the Central Zone of the East Kunlun Orogen and its implications for tectonic evolution显示文摘LA-ICP-MS and SHRIMP U-Pb dating of zircons from orthogneisses and amphibolite from the Central Zone of the Kunlun Orogen is reported in this paper. One orthogneiss sample has metamorphic zircons yielding weighted average 206Pb/238U age of 517.0 +5.0/-6.0 Ma, and the other orthogneiss sample con- tains zircons with inherited magmatic cores giving three population 207Pb/206Pb ages of 955 Ma, 895 Ma and 657 Ma for the magmatic protolith, and metamorphic recrystallized rims with peak 206Pb/238U ages of 559 +12/?17 Ma and 516 ± 13 Ma. The amphibolite yielded three populations of weighted average 206Pb/238U age of 482.0 +10/?8.0 Ma, 516.2 ± 5.8 Ma and 549 ± 10 Ma for the metamorphic zircons. These dating results recorded the tectonothermal events that occurred in the early Paleozoic and the Pre- cambrian time. | 8 | Ciliary parathyroid hormone signaling activates transforming growth factor-βto maintain intervertebral disc homeostasis during aging显示文摘Degenerative disc disease(DDD) is associated with intervertebral disc degeneration of spinal instability. Here, we report that the cilia of nucleus pulposus(NP) cells mediate mechanotransduction to maintain anabolic activity in the discs. We found that mechanical stress promotes transport of parathyroid hormone 1 receptor(PTH1 R) to the cilia and enhances parathyroid hormone(PTH) signaling in NP cells. PTH induces transcription of integrin α_vβ_6 to activate the transforming growth factor(TGF)-β-connective tissue growth factor(CCN2)-matrix proteins signaling cascade. Intermittent injection of PTH(iPTH) effectively attenuates disc degeneration of aged mice by direct signaling through NP cells, specifically improving intervertebral disc height and volume by increasing levels of TGF-β activity, CCN2, and aggrecan. PTH1 R is expressed in both mouse and human NP cells. Importantly,knockout PTH1 R or cilia in the NP cells results in significant disc degeneration and blunts the effect of PTH on attenuation of aged discs. | 13 | The mean residence time of river water in the Canada Basin显示文摘Seawater was collected from the western Arctic Ocean for measurements of 18O, 226Ra and 228Ra. The fractions of river runoff and sea ice melt-water in water samples were estimated by using δ18O-S-PO* tracer system. The mean residence time of river water in the Canada Basin was calculated based on the relationship between 228Ra/226Ra)A.R. and the fractions of river runoff in the shelf and deep ocean. Our results showed that the river runoff fractions in the Canada Basin were significantly higher than those in the shelf regions, suggesting that the Canada Basin is a major storage region for Arctic river water. 228Ra activity concentrations in the Chukchi shelf and the Beaufort shelf ranged from 0.16 to 1.22 Bq/m3, lower than those reported for shelves in the low and middle latitudes, indicating the effect of sea ice melt-water. A good positive linear relationship was observed between 228Ra/226Ra)A.R. and the fraction of river runoff for shelf waters, while the 228Ra/226Ra)A.R. in the Canada Basin was located below this re-gressive line. The low 228Ra/226Ra)A.R. in the Canada Basin was ascribed to 228Ra decay during shelf wa-ters transporting to the deep ocean. | 14 | Liraglutide alleviates cardiac fibrosis through inhibiting P4hα-1 expression in STZ-induced diabetic cardiomyopathy显示文摘Diabetic cardiomyopathy is an important contributor to morbidity and mortality of diabetic patients by causing heart failure.Interstitial and perivascular fibrosis plays a crucial role in diabetic cardiomyopathy.However,there is a lack of effective specific treatments available for diabetic cardiomyopathy.In the present study,we aim to explore the effects of Liraglutide,a GLP-1 analogue,on diabetic cardiomyopathy in STZ-induced diabetic rats fed with high-fat diet.A total of 60 male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to three groups,i.e.normal group,model group,and Liraglutide group,with 20 rats in each group.Serum levels of TC,TG,LDL-C,NEFA,and hydroxyproline were measured using commercial kits.Cardiac function was evaluated by QRS waves,LVEDd,LVESd,and LVEF.Myocardial fibrosis was measured by immunohistochemistry.Our results demonstrated that chronic administration of Liraglutide decreased the level of blood glucose and significantly alleviated lipid metabolic disturbance compared with the model group.Furthermore,Liraglutide was found to improve the damaged cardiac function.In line with this,we also found that the alleviation of cardiac dysfunction was associated with the decreased fibrosis in diabetic myocardial tissues,which was reflected by the decreased expressions of P4hα-1,COL-1,COL-3,MMP-1,and MMP-9.Our results thus suggest that Liraglutide might have a myocardial protective effect by inhibiting P4hα-1-mediated myocardial fibrosis. | Tong Zhao Huiqiang Chen Fei Xu Juan Wang Yusheng Liu Xiaowei Xing Linlin Guo Mingxiang Zhang Qinghua Lu | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,3: | 9 |
| 15 | Correlation of CD105 and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Laser-induced Choroidal Neovascularization in Rats显示文摘Purpose: Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) plays an important role in pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), ocular histoplasmosis syndrome (OHS) and so on. However, mechanisms of CNV formation are not fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between expressions of CD105 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in experimental laser-induced CNV in rats. Methods: CNV model was established by 532 nm laser photocoagulation in Brown-Norway rats. The expression of CD105 and VEGF in CNV was observed by immunohistochemistry at 3, 7, 14, 21, 28 and 56 days after laser photocoagulation. The image analysis was performed with the professional software of Image-Pro Plus. Results: Fluorescein angiography showed fluorescein leakage in CNV from days 7 to 56 after photocoagulation. VEGF expression was mainly observed in vascular endothelial cells, ganglion cells, inner nuclear layers and retinal pigment epithelial cells in normal retina and vascular endothelial cells in normal choroid of the rats. On day 3 after photocoagulation, VEGF began to express in laser-induced lesions. VEGF was strongly expressed in CNV after 7 days (P<0.05) and decreased after 14 days (P>0.05). CD105 was initially presented in CNV at 7 days and obviously expressed at 14 days after photocoagulation (P<0.05). Four weeks later, when angiogenesis tended toward inactive status, expression of CD105 was markedly decreased (P>0.05). There was notablely direct correlation between CD105-positive-microvessel density and positively semiquantitative scoring of VEGF in the CNV(r=0.989, P<0.01). Conclusions: There is direct correlation between the expression of CD105 and VEGF in the laser-induced CNV in rat. | 16 | The input/removal rates of size-fractionated ^210Po in the Jiulongjiang estuary and its implications显示文摘The geochemical behaviors of dissolved (<0.4 mm), low molecular weight (<10 kDa) and colloidal (10 kDa- 0.4 mm) 210Po in surface waters from the Jiulongjiang estuary were examined and the input/removal rates of different 210Po species were estimated. Both dissolved and low molecular weight 210Po were considerably removed during estuarine mixing. However, colloidal 210Po was removed only at low salinity regions (S <15) but had input behavior at high salin-ity surface waters (S >15). The input/removal rates of three species indicate that 210Po was removed rapidly in the Jiu-longjiang estuary. The discrepancy of input/removal rates between 210Po species suggests different geochemical be-havior and a dynamic transformation between 210Po species. | 18 | Regional estimates of POC export flux derived from thorium-234 in the western Arctic Ocean显示文摘In order to elucidate the regional export variation of particulate organic carbon in the western Arctic Ocean, samples vertically integrated between 0 and 100 m depth or between 0 and 30 m/40 m depth were collected for total 234Th measurements and those from 30 m/40 m or 100 m depth were collected for particulate 234Th measurements during the Second Chinese Arctic Expedition in July-September 2003. The removal fluxes and residence time of 234Th in the upper water column were calculated by using irreversible steady-state scavenging model. The results showed that, total 234Th was deficit relative to its parent 238U in the western Arctic Ocean except in the western Chukchi shelf and the slope regions around 160°W, indicating that scavenging and removal processes play an important role in element biogeochemical cycle in the Arctic Ocean. In the western Chukchi shelf and the slope regions around 160°W, total 234Th was excess relative to 238U, ascribing to the horizontal input of 234Th adsorbed by ice-rafted sediments. Thorium-234 removal fluxes decreased from the shelf to the deep ocean, while the residence time of 234Th increased from shelf to offshore, demonstrating that particle scavenging and removal processes are more active in the shelf regions. The estimated POC export fluxes from 40 m in the shelf regions and from 100 m in the slope and deep ocean varied between 1.6 and 27.5 mmol/(m2·d), and between 1.8 and 14.4 mmol/(m2·d), respectively. The averaged POC export fluxes over the entire water column decreased from the shelf to the deep ocean, indicating that the Chukchi shelf is an important region for organic carbon sequestration. | 19 | Selective laser melting of near-α titanium alloy Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V:Parameter optimization, heat treatment and mechanical performance显示文摘This paper presents a comprehensive study conducted to optimize the selective laser melting(SLM)parameters and subsequent heat-treatment temperatures for near-α high-temperature titanium alloy Ti-6 Al-2 Zr-1 Mo-1 V(TA15),which is widely used in the aerospace industry.Based on the surface morphology and relative density analysis,the optimized process parameters were:laser power from 230 W to 380 W,scan speed from 675 mm/s to 800 mm/s,scan spacing of 0.12 mm,and layer thickness of0.03 mm.The effects of the laser power and the layer thickness on the phase constitutions,microstructure features,as well as room-temperature and high-temperature(500℃) tensile properties,were then studied to obtain an in-depth understanding of SLM-built TA15.Six typical temperatures(650,750,850,950,1000 and 1100℃) covering three representative temperature ranges,i.e.,martensite partial decomposition temperature range,martensite complete decomposition temperature range and above βtransus temperature,were subsequently selected as heat-treatment temperatures.The heat treatmentmicrostructure-mechanical property relationships of SLM-built TA15 were elucidated in detail.These results provide valuable information on the development of SLM-built TA15 alloy for industrial applications,and these findings are also beneficial to additive manufacturing of other near-α Ti alloys with desirable high-temperature properties. | Chao Cai Xu Wu Wan Liu Wei Zhu Hui Chen Jasper Chu Dong Qiu Chen-Nan Sun Jie Liu Qingsong Wei Yusheng Shi | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,22: | 7 |
| 20 | Export and remineralization of POM in the Southern Ocean and the South China Sea estimated from ^(210)Po/^(210)Pb disequilibria显示文摘Disequilibria between 210Po and 210Pb in the upper water and their potential applications as a proxy of particle export and remineralization were examined in the Southern Ocean (station IV3) and the South China Sea (NS44). 210Po was deficit in surface waters but excessive relative to 210Pb in subsurface waters. Good positive correlation between 210Po and particulate organic carbon (POC) indicated deficits and excess of 210Po resulted from particulate organic matter (POM) export and remineralization respectively, which was also supported by the decreased δ 13C and increased δ 15N downwards as a result of particle remineralization. On the basis of 210Po/210Pb box-model, POC export flux out of the surface waters were 1.2 mmol C·m-2·d-1 and 2.3 mmol C·m-2·d-1 for station NS44 and IV3, respectively. In the subsurface waters, remineralization fluxes of 210Po were 0.062 Bq·m-2·d-1 and 0.566 Bq·m-2·d-1 for station NS44 and IV3 along with the recycle efficiency of 52±26% and 119±52%, respectively. Remineralized fluxes of POM derived from 210Po and exported POC were 0.6 mmol C·m-2·d-1 and 2.7 mmol C·m-2·d-1 for NS44 and IV3.
