TOLERANCE ANALYSIS OF A PLANETARY GEAR REDUCER UNDER CAD CIRCUMSTANCE显示文摘Tolerance analysis of a planetary reducer is conducted. By focusing the serially-arrangedparts in the central line and setting an appropriate dimension as a 'gap', worst-case tolerance analysismethod and statistical (RSS) tolerance analysis are used, and then a tolerance-analyzing tool CE/TOLis introduced. The acceptable value range of the 'gap' is from 1.5 mm to 3.5 mm. While worst-caseanalysis rejects the design, RSS accepts it by a more realistic result with the law of probability accounted. With the help of CE/TOL and CAD software Pro/E, all components’ dimensions and tolerances areassigned and modified, and more detailed and more comprehensible results are gives out. | Zhu Fumin Li Wanli Maropoulos P G | 2005 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2005,18,3: | 11

Amorphous (and nanocrys-talline) soft magnetic alloys have very large magnetic permeability, when an ac driving currentand an external magnetic field (EMF) are applied, the EMF will damp the magnetic fluxchange caused by the ac driving current, thus the magnetic permeability will decrease; as a re- | Ku, WJ Ge, FD Yan, G Wang, XY Zhu, J | 1997 | Chinese Science Bulletin1997,42,12: | 5 |

Effect of intercritical annealing on microstructure, mechanical properties, and work-hardening behavior of ultrahigh-strength dual-phase steels with different silicon contents显示文摘In this study, three kinds of dual-phase( DP) steels were used to investigate the influence of silicon content and intercritical annealing temperature on their microstructures, mechanical properties, and work-hardening behaviors. By adding silicon and matching the critical annealing temperature,a new DP steel( 1. 0Si and intercritically annealed at 790 ℃) that exhibits an excellent combination of ultrahigh strength and adequate ductility was obtained. Variations in the strength, elongation, and fracture mechanism of the specimens with respect to different intercritical annealing temperatures were correlated to microstructural features. With an increase in the silicon content, there is no significant change in the martensitic band structure or ferrite morphology. At the same annealing temperature, the yield strength and yield strength ratio of the specimens decreased, but at different annealing temperatures, the tensile strength was reduced. The Hollomon analysis results indicate that the workhardening behavior obeys a two-stage work-hardening mechanism. With an increasing intercritical annealing temperature, the 'transition strain'shifts to the left, and with an increasing silicon content, the 'transition strain'shifts to the right. The surface exhibits ductile fractures characterized by a high density of microvoid dimples. With an increase in the silicon content, the average dimple size on the fracture surface decreases and the plasticity of the material increases. | LI Wei1 John G SPEER ZHU Xiaodong LI Wei | 2018 | Baosteel Technical Research2018,12,4: | 2
A CASE STUDY ON CONCENTRATION AND DECENTRALIZATION:BEHAVIOR AND DYN AMIC MECHANISM OF SPATIAL EVOLUTION IN METROPOLITAN AREA,NANJING,CHINA显示文摘In rapid socio-economic developme nt,the process of concentration and dispersal of various elements tends to be more dramatic, tremendously in fluencing the shaping and transform ation of the space in metropolitan area.Survey of spatial concentration and decent ralization has thus become a basic me thod in examining metropolitan spatial evolution. In this research, three elements were selected as the essential indicato rs of the process:demographic density distribu-tion,employment density distribut ion and business office location.Performance of these elements in Nanji ng City was exam-ined historically. As Nanjing City c ould be regarded as a representative of metropolitan areas in China, its s ituation large-ly suggestes the general characteristics in similar areas of China.Hence based on the investigation of Nanji ng City, four general implications were highligh ted.First, metropolitan areas inChina are in a violentprocess and shift of spatialconcentra-tion and decentralization.Second, from now to at least the near future,c oncentration will continue to be the central fea-ture.Third,the landscape of metrop olitan areas basically exhibits a dual structure character. The gap in en vironmental and ecological qualities among different districts will continue for a l ong time.Fourth,Central Business District(CBD)is playing an important role in helpi ng to convert the traditionally single-centered city structure into a polycentric one. | ZHU Xi-gang,ZHANG Jing-xiang,CHEN Hu (Department of Urban and Resources Sciences,Nanjing University,Nanjin g 210093,P.R.China,) | 2002 | Chinese Geographical Science2002,12,3: | 2
Four-Beam Model for Vibration Analysis of a Cantilever Beam with an Embedded Horizontal Crack显示文摘As one of the main failure modes, embedded cracks occur in beam structures due to periodic loads. Hence it is useful to investigate the dynamic characteristics of a beam structure with an embedded crack for early crack detection and diagnosis. A new four-beam model with local flexibilities at crack tips is developed to investigate the transverse vibration of a cantilever beam with an embedded horizontal crack; two separate beam segments are used to model the crack region to allow opening of crack surfaces. Each beam segment is considered as an Euler-Bernoulli beam. The governing equations and the matching and boundary conditions of the four-beam model are derived using Hamilton's principle. The natural frequencies and mode shapes of the four-beam model are calculated using the transfer matrix method. The effects of the crack length, depth, and location on the first three natural frequencies and mode shapes of the cracked cantilever beam are investigated. A continuous wavelet transform method is used to analyze the mode shapes of the cracked cantilever beam. It is shown that sudden changes in spatial variations of the wavelet coefficients of the mode shapes can be used to identify the length and location of an embedded horizontal crack. The first three natural frequencies and mode shapes of a cantilever beam with an embedded crack from the finite element method and an experimental investigation are used to validate the proposed model. Local deformations in the vicinity of the crack tips can be described by the proposed four-beam model, which cannot be captured by previous methods. | LIU Jing ZHU Weidong CHARALAMBIDES Panos G SHAO Yimin XU Yongfeng WU Kai XIAO Huifang | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2016,29,1: | 2
