1Short and long-term efficacy of combining Fuzhengliqi mixture with acupuncture in treatment of functional constipation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the short and long-term efficacy of combining Fuzhengliqi mixture (FLM) with acupuncture in treating functional constipation (FC). METHODS: The 560 patients with confirmed diagnosis of FC were randomly assigned to four groups: FLM group, acupuncture group, combined therapy group, and control group. There were 140 cases in each group. The FLM group was administered FLM 60 mL twice a day, while the acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture at acupoints Tianshu (ST 25), Shangjuxu (ST 37), Zusanli (ST 36), Dachangshu (BL 25), and Zhigou (TE 6) twice a day, the combined therapy group with FLM and acupuncture, and the control group was administered mosapride (5 mg thrice a day) and Macrogol 4000 (10 g twice a day). The treatment lasted 6 weeks. The defecation interval, stool property, constipation symptoms, and accompanying symptomswere recorded, graded, and scored.The gastrointestinal transit time (GITT) and motilin (MTL) level in serum and life quality score were detected at three time points (pre-treatment, at the end of treatment, and 60 weeks post-treatment). Moreover, the adverse reactions were also observed. RESULTS: In the FLM group 2 cases were eliminated for not taking medication strictly according to the research plan and 1 case was lost to follow-up, while 2 cases in the acupuncture group and 2 cases in the combined therapy group were lost to follow-up. Compared with those detected pre-treat- ment, the defecation interval, stool property, consti- pation symptom grade, accompanying symptom grade, and GITT were all decreased markedly at the end of treatment in every group, while the MTL levels in serum and life quality score were increased markedly (P<0.01), the above-mentioned detecting indices were better in the combined therapy group than those in other groups (P<0.05). Compared with the end of treatment, above-mentioned detecting indices all recurred significantly in the FLM group and control group 60 weeks post-treatment (P>0.05), but these indices recurred insignificantly in the acupuncture and combined therapy groups (P>0.05). The short and long-term total effective rates in the combined therapy group were significantly different from those in other groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). No serious adverse reactions were found in four groups. CONCLUSION: Both FLM and acupuncture can significantly shorten the defecation interval and GITT, increase MTL levels in serum, decrease the scores of stool property, constipation symptoms, and accompanying symptoms in patients with FC to increase their life quality. 2Clinical curative effect of electroacupuncture combined with Zhizhukuanzhong Capsules for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the clinical curative effect,safety and mechanism of action of electroacupuncture combined with Zhizhukuanzhong capsules(ZZKZC) in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).METHODS:A total of 480 patients with confirmed GERD were randomly divided into four groups:the electroacupuncture group,the ZZKZC group,the combined therapy group,and the control group,with 120 cases in each group.Each case in the electroacupuncture group was treated with electroacupuncture on Zusanli(ST36),Zhongwan(CV12),Neiguan(PC6),Taichong(LR3)and Gongsun(SP 4)once daily for 6 weeks.Each case in the ZZKZC group was treated with oral administration of 1.29 g ZZKZC three times daily.The combined therapy group had electroacupuncture and ZZKZC.The control group was given oral administration of 5 mg mosapride three times and 20 mg pantoprazole twice daily.The 24-hour intraesophageal total number of reflux episodes with pH <4(or bilirubin absorbance ≥ 0.14),the number of long-term(≥5 min) reflux episodes,the percentage of upright time,the percentage of supine time,the percentage of total time of pH <4(or bilirubin absorbance ≥0.14),endoscopic grading score,symptom score,quality of life score,and adverse reactions were observed before treatment,at the end of treatment and 54 weeks after treatment in the four groups.RESULTS:The 24-hour intraesophageal pH and bile reflux,endoscopic grading score and symptom score were all significantly decreased at the end of treatment in every group,while the scores of 8 dimensions of quality of life were all increased compared with those before treatment(P<0.01).All of these indices were better in the combined therapy group than those in the other groups(P<0.05).These indices did not significantly deteriorate in the combined therapy group and electroacupuncture group 54 weeks after treatment compared with the end of treatment(P>0.05);however,these indices all significantly deteriorated in the ZZKZC and control groups(P>0.05).The short and long-term total efficacy rates in the combined therapy group showed significant superiority to those in the other groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).No serious adverse reactions were found in the four groups.CONCLUSION:Electroacupuncture and ZZKZC play an important role in inhibiting intraesophageal acid and bile reflux,decreasing the endoscopic grading score,and alleviating the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux to improve the quality of life.However,the effect of combined treatment is more effective,with better security and long-term efficacy,and therefore,this combination treatment is appropriate for clinicaluse.Chaoxian Zhang Like Guo Xiaofeng Guo Xiaohe Guo Guangyan Li 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:8
3Mycorrhizal symbiosis modulates the rhizosphere microbiota to promote rhizobia–legume symbiosis显示文摘Plants establish symbioses with mutualistic fungi,such as arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,and bacteria,such as rhizobia,to exchange key nutrients and thrive.Plants and symbionts have coevolved and represent vital components of terrestrial ecosystems.Plants employ an ancestral AM signaling pathway to establish intracellular symbioses,including the legume–rhizobia symbiosis,in their roots.Nevertheless,the relationship between the AM and rhizobial symbioses in native soil is poorly understood.Here,we examined how these distinct symbioses affect root-associated bacterial communities in Medicago truncatula by performing quantitative microbiota profiling(QMP)of 16S rRNA genes.We found that M.truncatula mutants that cannot establish AM or rhizobia symbiosis have an altered microbial load(quantitative abundance)in the rhizosphere and roots,and in particular that AM symbiosis is required to assemble a normal quantitative root-associated microbiota in native soil.Moreover,quantitative microbial co-abundance network analyses revealed that AM symbiosis affects Rhizobiales hubs among plant microbiota and benefits the plant holobiont.Through QMP of rhizobial rpoB and AM fungal SSU rRNA genes,we revealed a new layer of interaction whereby AM symbiosis promotes rhizobia accumulation in the rhizosphere of M.truncatula.We further showed that AM symbiosis-conditioned microbial communities within the M.truncatula rhizosphere could promote nodulation in different legume plants in native soil.Given that the AM and rhizobial symbioses are critical for crop growth,our findings might inform strategies to improve agricultural management.Moreover,our work sheds light on the co-evolution of these intracellular symbioses during plant adaptation to native soil conditions.Xiaolin Wang Huan Feng Yayu Wang Mingxing Wang Xingguang Xie Huizhong Chang Like Wang Jicheng Qu Kai Sun Wei He Chunyan Wang Chuanchao Dai Zhaohui Chu Changfu Tian Nan Yu Xuebin Zhang Huan Liu Ertao Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:6
4Transcriptome profiles reveal that gibberellin-related genes regulate weeping traits in crape myrtle显示文摘Plant architecture includes vital traits that influence and benefit crops,and economically important trees.Different plant architectures provide natural beauty.Weeping ornamental plants are aesthetically appealing to people.The regulatory mechanism controlling the weeping trait is poorly understood in crape myrtle.To investigate the weeping trait mechanism,transcriptional profiling of different organs in weeping and upright crape myrtle was performed based on phenotype.Phenotypic and histological analyses demonstrated that endodermal cells were absent,and that new shoot phenotypes could be rescued by the GA3 treatment of weeping plants.The transcriptional analysis and coexpression network analysis(WGCNA)of differentially expressed genes indicated that GA synthesis and signal transduction pathways play a role in weeping traits.When the expression level of a negative element of GA signaling,LfiGRAS1,was reduced by virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS),new branches grew in infected plants in a negatively geotropic manner.An integrated analysis implied that GA had a strong influence on weeping crape myrtle by interacting with other factors.This study helps to elucidate the mechanism governing the weeping trait and can improve the efficiency of breeding in Lagerstroemia.Suzhen Li Tangchun Zheng Xiaokang Zhuo Zhuojiao Li Lulu Li Ping Li Like Qiu Huitang Pan Jia Wang Tangren Cheng Qixiang Zhang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:5
5Cryogenic treatment induced hardening for Cu-Zr-Ag-Al bulk metallic glasses显示文摘Little is known about the mechanical properties of bulk metallic glassy alloys(BMGs) after cryogenic treatment.In this study,the effects of cryogenic treatment(CT) on the microstructural transition and the mechanical properties of Cu-based bulk metallic glass(BMG) were studied.The results showed that submicron AlCu2Zr and Cu5Zr phases can precipitate from the Cu-Zr-Ag-Al matrix after 192 h CT.The formation of these nanometer-sized crystalline phases substantially enhanced the mechanical properties of the bulk amorphous alloy.The micro-hardness and the compressive strength were found to increase respectively from 501 HV and 1510 MPa to 595 HV and 1910 MPa after cryogenic treatment.CT is a promising approach to strengthening metal glasses.CHEN ZhenHua ZHANG LiKe LIU JiZi CHEN Ding 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,7:5
6Runoff of arid and semi-arid regions simulated and projected by CLM-DTVGM and its multi-scale fluctuations as revealed by EEMD analysis显示文摘Runoff is a major component of the water cycle,and its multi-scale fluctuations are important to water resources management across arid and semi-arid regions.This paper coupled the Distributed Time Variant Gain Model(DTVGM)into the Community Land Model(CLM 3.5),replacing the TOPMODEL-based method to simulate runoff in the arid and semi-arid regions of China.The coupled model was calibrated at five gauging stations for the period 1980–2005 and validated for the period 2006–2010.Then,future runoff(2010–2100)was simulated for different Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP)emission scenarios.After that,the spatial distributions of the future runoff for these scenarios were discussed,and the multi-scale fluctuation characteristics of the future annual runoff for the RCP scenarios were explored using the Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition(EEMD)analysis method.Finally,the decadal variabilities of the future annual runoff for the entire study area and the five catchments in it were investigated.The results showed that the future annual runoff had slowly decreasing trends for scenarios RCP 2.6 and RCP 8.5 during the period 2010–2100,whereas it had a non-monotonic trend for the RCP 4.5 scenario,with a slow increase after the 2050 s.Additionally,the future annual runoff clearly varied over a decadal time scale,indicating that it had clear divisions between dry and wet periods.The longest dry period was approximately 15 years(2040–2055)for the RCP 2.6 scenario and 25 years(2045–2070)for the RCP 4.5 scenario.However,the RCP 8.5 scenario was predicted to have a long dry period starting from 2045.Under these scenarios,the water resources situation of the study area will be extremely severe.Therefore,adaptive water management measures addressing climate change should be adopted to proactively confront the risks of water resources.NING Like XIA Jun ZHAN Chesheng ZHANG Yongyong 2016Journal of Arid Land2016,8,4:4

15High-entropy alloys and compounds for electrocatalytic energy conversion applications显示文摘High-entropy materials,composed of five or more elements in near-equiatomic percentage,have been attracting tremendous interests due to their advantageous properties in a variety of applications.Recently,electrocatalysis on high-entropy alloys(HEAs)and high-entropy compounds(HECs)has emerged as a new and promising material owing to the tailored composition and the disordered con-figuration of HEAs and HECs.Though extensive efforts have been devoted to investigating the catalytic nature of HEAs and HECs,the details related to the active sites and intrinsic activity of such catalysts still remain uncertain due to the complexity of the multicomponent systems.In this review,the recent progress of HEAs and HECs is systematically reviewed in terms of their synthetic strate-gies and electrocatalytic applications.Importantly,the computationally assisted methods(e.g.,density functional theory[DFT])are also presented to discover and design the optimumHEA-andHEC-based catalysts.Subsequently,the appli-cations of HEAs and HECs in electrocatalytic energy conversion reactions will be discussed,including hydrogen evolution reaction,oxygen evolution reaction,oxygen reduction reaction,carbon dioxide reduction reaction,nitrogen reduction reaction,methanol oxidation reaction,and ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).Moreover,the prospects and future opportunities for this research field are cau-tiously discussed.A series of upcoming challenges and questions are thoroughly proposed from the experimental and theoretical aspects as well as other future applications in electrocatalysis.Hang Liu Lenus Syama Like Zhang Carmen Lee Chuntai Liu Zhengfei Dai Qingyu Yan 2021SusMat2021,1,4:1

17TiO_(2)-supported Single-atom Catalysts:Synthesis,Structure,and Application显示文摘In recent years,single-atom catalysts(SACs)have attracted increasing attention in catalysis.However,their stability is considerably challenging.As a result,fine-tuning the interaction of metal single atoms(SA)with different types of supports has emerged as an effective strategy for improving their thermal and chemical stabilities.Owing to its non-toxicity,cost-effectiveness,high abundance,and excellent stability,as well as presence of rich,tunable,and reliable anchor sites for metal SA,TiO_(2)has been extensively explored as a superior support for SACs.In this review,recent advances of TiO_(2)-supported SACs(M1/TiO_(2))are discussed,and synthetic strategies,structure elucidation,and catalytic applications are summarized.First,the recently developed synthetic strategies for M1/TiO_(2)arehighlighted and summarized,identifying the major challenges for the precise fabrication of M1/TiO_(2).Subsequently,key characterization techniques for the structure identification of M1/TiO_(2)are discussed.Next,catalytic applications of M1/TiO_(2)are highlighted,viz.photocatalysis,electrocatalysis,and thermocatalysis.In addition,the mechanism via geometric structures and electronic states of metal centers facilitate catalytic reactions is outlined.Finally,opportunities and challenges of M1/TiO_(2)in catalysis are discussed,which may inspire the future development of M1/TiO_(2)for multifunctional catalytic applications.LIU Zailun SUN Like ZHANG Qitao TENG Zhenyuan SUN Hongli SU Chenliang 2022Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2022,38,5:0
18The advantages of penehyclidine hydrochloride over atropine in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning:A meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Penehyclidine hydrochloride(PHC)has been used for many years as an anticholinergic drug for the treatment of acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning(AOPP).The purpose of this meta-analysis was to explore whether PHC has advantages over atropine in the use of anticholinergic drugs in AOPP.Methods:We searched Scopus,Embase,Cochrane,PubMed,ProQuest,Ovid,Web of Science,China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),Duxiu,Chinese Biomedical literature(CBM),WanFang,and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),from inception to March 2022.After all qualified randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were included,we conducted quality evaluation,data extraction,and statistical analysis.Statistics using risk ratios(RR),weighted mean difference(WMD),and standard mean difference(SMD).Results:Our meta-analysis included 20,797 subjects from 240 studies across 242 different hospitals in China.Compared with the atropine group,the PHC group showed decreased mortality rate(RR=0.20,95%confidence intervals[CI]:0.16–0.25,P<0.001),hospitalization time(WMD=-3.89,95%CI:-4.37 to-3.41,P<0.001),overall incidence rate of complications(RR=0.35,95%CI:0.28–0.43,P<0.001),overall incidence of adverse reactions(RR=0.19,95%CI:0.17–0.22,P<0.001),total symptom disappearance time(SMD=-2.13,95%CI:-2.35 to-1.90,P<0.001),time for cholinesterase activity to return to normal value 50–60%(SMD=-1.87,95%CI:-2.03 to-1.70,P<0.001),coma time(WMD=-5.57,95%CI:-7.20 to-3.95,P<0.001),and mechanical ventilation time(WMD=-2.16,95%CI:-2.79 to-1.53,P<0.001).Conclusion:PHC has several advantages over atropine as an anticholinergic drug in AOPP.Siyao Zeng Lei Ma Lishan Yang Xiaodong Hu Cheng Wang Xinxin Guo Yi Li Yi Gou Yao Zhang Shengming Li Shaotong Zhang Xiaoxuan Wu Meihong Li Jing Lei Bingqian Li Chengfei Bi Like Ma Qingpeng Luo 2023Journal of Intensive Medicine2023,3,2:0
19Highly sensitive salinity sensor based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer with double-C fiber显示文摘This paper proposes a highly sensitive,compact,and low-cost optical fiber salinity sensor based on the Mach-Zehnder interferometer.The sensor is constructed using a single mode fiber(SMF)-no-core fiber-double-C fiber(DCF)-NCF-SMF structure,with the DCF prepared by etching the dual side-hole fiber with HF acid.The DCF’s large-size exposed microfluidic channels solve the previous microstructured optical fiber’s challenging liquid filling and replacement problems.Theoretical simulations and experiments demonstrate that the sensor is suitable for high-sensitivity salinity measurement.The sensor exhibits a high salinity sensitivity of-2.26 nm/‰ in the salinity range of 10‰-50‰,as demonstrated by the experimental results.Additionally,the sensor exhibits some fascinating characteristics,including high repeatability,hysteresis,reversibility,and stability.Ya-nan Zhang Like Li Jincheng Zhao Yong Zhao 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,2:0
20Manipulation of the PdAu-PdAuO_(x)interface on Pd-Au bimetallic catalysts for the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide显示文摘Direct synthesis of H_(2)O_(2)from H_(2) and O_(2)via heterogeneous catalysis is an environmentally friendly and atomically economic alternative to the traditional anthraquinone oxidation(AO)process.Optimizing the electronic and geometric structures of the active metals to break the current limitations of hydrogenation rate and H_(2)O_(2)selectivity is a promising and challenging topic.In this study,a series of Pd-Au bimetallic catalysts supported on TiO_(2)with a metal loading of 3.0 wt%and a constant Pd/Au molar ratio(Pd:Au=2:1)were prepared.The catalysts were reduced in H_(2) at different temperatures(473,573 and 673 K),and their catalytic activity for the direct H_(2)O_(2)synthesis were evaluated at 283 K and 0.1MPa.H_(2) reduced Pd-Au catalysts exhibited superior performance in direct H_(2)O_(2)synthesis.The maximum H_(2)O_(2)selectivity of 87.7%and H_(2)O_(2)yield of 3116.4 mmol h^(−1) gPd^(−1) were achieved over the Pd_(2.0)Au_(1.0)-573 catalyst with a H_(2) conversion of 12.8%.The tailored local chemical environment caused by H_(2) reduction creates a balanced ratio of Pd0 and PdO_(x) sites,thus improving the selectivity towards H_(2)O_(2).This work developed an effective strategy for fabrication of highly active and stable Pd-based H_(2)O_(2)synthesis catalysts with high H_(2)O_(2)yield.Jixuan Zhang Pengfei Tian Aihao Xu Like Ouyang Zixu Yang Jing Xu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0
