1Clinicopathologic features, diagnosis and surgical treatment of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma in 104 patients显示文摘BACKGROUND: The outcome of surgical treatment of pa- tients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is poor. This study was designed to analyze the relationship between clinicopathologic features and the survival time after opera- tion. METHODS: The operation was performed in 104 patients with mass-forming type ICC at our hospital between No- vember 1996 and May 2000. Seventy-nine patients (76.0%) were followed up successfully. Sixteen clinicopathological variables including age, sex, history of chronic liver di- sease , HBsAg, operation, adjuvant therapy, ascites, lymph node metastasis, invasion of adjacent organs, tumor size, necrosis of tumor, envelope, intrahepatic metastasis, Inter- national Union Against Cancer (UICC) TNM staging, his- tology, and cirrhosis were selected for univariate and multi- variate analyses to evaluate their influence on the prognosis. RESULTS: The accumulative 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rates of the 79 patients were 49.4%, 17.3%, 9.6% respectively. Univariate analysis revealed that sex (P=0.0221), HBsAg (P=0.0115), operation (P=0.0042), adjuvant therapy (P= 0.0389), ascites (P=0.0001), invasion (P=0.0220), intra- hepatic metastasis (P=0.0000) and TNM stage (P= 0.0001) were related to survival time. Multivariate analysis revealed that HBsAg, ascites and TNM stage were signifi- cantly related to prognosis. 3In-situ U-Pb dating of uraninite by fs-LA-ICP-MS显示文摘In this study,the Pb/U fractionation between zircon and uraninite during femtosecond Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry(fs-LA-ICP-MS)analysis was studied in detail.The results show significant Pb/U fractionation between zircon and uraninite during fs-LA-ICP-MS analysis that when calibrated against the zircon standard M257,the obtained U-Pb age of the Chinese national uraninite standard GBW04420 is 17%older than the recommended value.Thus,the accurate in-situ U-Pb dating of uraninite by LA-ICP-MS requires matrix-matched external standards for calibration.Uraninite in thin sections of two U-mineralized leucogranite from the Gaudeanmus in Namibia was analyzed by a fs-LA-ICP-MS equipped with a Signal Smooth Device(SSD),using laser spot and frequency of 10μm and 1 Hz,respectively.When calibrated using GBW04420 as the external standard,two samples give weighted mean 206Pb/238U ages of 504±3 Ma(2σ,n=21)and503±3 Ma(2σ,n=22),and only one of two samples yields a concordia U-Pb age of 507±1 Ma(2σ,n=21).These results are consistent with ID-TIMS U-Pb ages of 509±1 and 508±12 Ma and are also indistinguishable from zircon U-Pb upper intercept ages of 506±33 Ma(2σ,n=29)and 501±51 Ma(2σ,n=29).The present study shows that in-situ U-Pb dating of uraninite can deliver more reliable formation ages of the deposit than dating coeval high-U zircon because the latter commonly suffer significant Pb loss after formation.Our results confirm that GBW04420 is an ideal matrix matching standard for in-situ U-Pb dating of uraninite.ZONG KeQing CHEN JinYong HU ZhaoChu LIU YongSheng LI Ming FAN HongHai MENG YanNing 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,10:22

6Evaluation of Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide Fumigation as a Method for the Bio-decontamination of the High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter Unit显示文摘Objective To evaluate the performance of vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) for the bio-decontamination of the high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter unit. Methods Self-made or commercially available bioindicators were placed at designated locations in the HEPA filter unit under VHP fumigation. The spores on coupons were then extracted by 0.5 h submergence in eluent followed by 200-time violent knocks. Results Due to the presence of HEPA filter in the box, spore recovery from coupons placed at the bottom of the filter downstream was significantly higher than that from coupons placed at the other locations. The gap of decontamination efficiency between the top and the bottom of the filter downstream became narrower with the exposure time extended. The decontamination efficiency of the bottom of the filter downstream only improved gently with the injection rate of H2O2 increased and the decontamination efficiency decreased instead when the injection rate exceeded 2.5 g/min. The commercially available bioindicators were competent to indicate the disinfection efficiency of VHP for the HEPA filter unit. Conclusion The HEPA filter unit is more difficult than common enclosure to decontaminate using VHP fumigation. Complete decontamination can be achieved by extending fumigation time. 7A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 8Provenance of Central Canyon in Qiongdongnan Basin as evidenced by detrital zircon U-Pb study of Upper Miocene sandstones显示文摘Deep-water canyon systems can provide important sandstone reservoirs for deep-water oil and gas exploration in the South China Sea;however,the sedimentary provenance of the Central Canyon in the Qiongdongnan Basin remains controversial.In this work,detrital zircon grains from three drilling sandstones in the Upper Miocene Huangliu Formation in the western part of the Central Canyon were analysed by LA-ICP-MS for U-Pb ages,in order to constrain their provenance.One hundred and ninety-one zircon grains yield concordant U-Pb ages ranging from 28.6 to 3285 Ma.Most of them show oscillatory or linear zoning in CL-images and high Th/U ratios(>0.1),suggesting that they are magmatic zircons.Three major age clusters at about30 Ma(N=6),220–270 Ma(N=29),and 420–440 Ma(N=13),and five minor age clusters at 70–110 Ma(N=7),150–170 Ma(N=4),800–850 Ma(N=11),1800–2000 Ma(N=16),and 2400–2600 Ma(N=7),can be identified in the age spectrum,which are very similar to those of the Upper Miocene sandstones and modern river sands in the Red River area,but different from those of other nearby regions(e.g.,Hainan Island,the Pearl River area,and the Mekong River area)in Southeast Asia.The major age peak at about 30 Ma in our samples is consistent with the timing of tectonothermal events in the Red River Fault Zone.Therefore,we suggest that the provenance of the western part of the Central Canyon,in the Qiongdongnan Basin,was fed dominantly by the Paleo-Red River system during the Late Miocene.CHEN Hui XIE XiNong GUO JingLiang SU Ming ZONG KeQing SHANG Fei HUANG Wei WANG Wei SHANG ZhiLei 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,8:6

10Local heat transfer properties in co- and counter-current G-L-S magnetically stabilized fluidized beds显示文摘Heat transfer coefficients were measured by immersed probes in co- and counter-current G-L-S magneti-cally stabilized fluidized beds (MSFBs) using air, water and nickel-alloy particles as the gas, liquid and solid phases. Influences of major factors, including magnetic field intensity, superficial gas and liquid velocities, liquid viscosity and surface tension, on heat-transfer properties were studied experimentally, indicating that both co- and counter-current G-L-S MSFB can provide relatively uniform radial distribution of heat transfer coefficients under appropriate operation conditions, thus controlling operation temperature for highly exothermic multi-phase reaction systems. 11An Effective Oxide Interference Correction on Sc and REE for Routine Analyses of Geological Samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Oxide interference correction plays a vital role in the accurate determination of trace element compositions of geological samples by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).In this study,we found that the oxide production is mainly controlled by the gas flow of the ICP-MS and a constant oxide correction factor(OCF)can be measured during a routine analysis.Thus,we can obtain the oxide production by just investigating the gas flow for a fixed ICP-MS system with monitoring of OCF.Si,Ba and LREE oxide interferences on the Sc,Eu and Gd of four geological standard samples GSP-2,JP-1,GBW03112 and GBW03113 were corrected by such method and the results were in good agreement with the recommended values.Therefore,the present study provides a simple and fast correction method for the oxide interferences of the geological samples during the routine analyses.Furthermore,a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet template integrating the correction equations was developed in an in-house software(ICPMSData Cal)for effective calibration.Wei Zhao Keqing Zong Yongsheng Liu Zhaochu Hu Haihong Chen Ming Li 2019Journal of Earth Science2019,30,6:4
12Efficacy of Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application Combined with Montelukast on Children with Perennial Allergic Rhinitis:A Randomized Controlled Trial显示文摘Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Chinese medicine acupoint application(CMAA)combined with Western medicine for perennial allergic rhinitis(PAR)in children.Methods In this prospective,parallel,randomized,placebo-controlled and single-blind trial from August to September,2017,180 children with PAR were randomly assigned to an integrative group(CMAA and Montelukast),CMAA group(CMAA and placebo tablet),or Montelukast group(placebo CMAA and Montelukast).Participants were applied with CMAA for 6 sessions over 2 weeks,and/or Montelukast Chewable Tablet orally once daily for 12 weeks.The changes in severity of symptoms were measured by Visual Analog Scale(VAS)and rhinitis control assessment test(RCAT)at 0,2,4 and 12 weeks of treatment.Blood samples were collected for serum interleukin-4,interferon gammaγand T helper type 1(Th1)/Th2 flow cytometric analysis at the time points of 0,4 and 12 weeks.Results Eight cases dropped out from the trial,3 in the integrative group,2 in the CMAA group and 3 in the Montelukast group.The VAS scores decreased significantly while the RCAT scores increased significantly in all three groups at 4 and 12 weeks compared with baseline(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The VAS scores were significantly lower while the RCAT scores were significantly higher in the integrative and CMAA groups than the Montelukast group at 2 and 4 weeks(P<0.01 or P<0.05).At 2,4 and 12 weeks,the scores of nasal congestion,sneezing,sleep problem,and rhinitis symptom control in the integrative and CMAA groups increased significantly compared with baseline(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The least percentages of Th2 and the most alleviated Th2 shift(highest Th1/Th2)were observed in the integrative group at 12 weeks compared with the other two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of CMAA with Montelukast might be more effective and appropriate than either option alone for children with PAR.(Registered at Chinese Clinical Trial Register,registration No.ChiCTR-IOR-17012434).LI You-jin ZONG Ming DING Li-feng RUI Xiao-qing MA Bei-yin QIN Li-ping 2020Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,26,11:4
13Expression level of miR-155 in peripheral blood显示文摘Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression level of miR-155 and the severity of coronary lesion,and explore the action mechanism.Methods:Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) were isolated form blood simple from patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI),unstable angina(UAP).stable angina(SAP) and chesl pain syndrome(CPS).RT-PCR was performed to analysis the expression level of miR-155 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells,plasma and RAW264.7 macrophagocyte.MTT was used to analyze the cell viability of OxLDL treated RAW264.7 macrophagocyte.Results:The expression level of miR-155 in blood sample from coronary heart disease patients was much lower than in the blood sample of non-coronary heart disease(P<0.05).The level of miR-155 in PBMCs was much higher in the blood sample from CPS group than the other three group,and the level of miR-155 in plasma was higher in the CPS group than in the UAP and the AMI group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression level of miR-155 in PBMCs is positively associated with the level in the plasma(r=0.861,P=0.000).OxLDL can induce the expression of miR-155 in RAW264.7 macrophagocyte.decrease the cell viability of RAW264.7 macrophagocyte.and with the concentration and the treatment time of OxLDL increased,the effort become more obvious.The inhibition effort of OxLDL to RAW264.7macrophagocyte with high miR-155 expression is much lower than the control group,and it is statistically significant after treated for 12.24 and 48 h.Conclusions:miR-155 plays a protective role in the progression of atherosclerosis,and it may be achieved by reducing the apoptosis effort of OxLDL to RAW264.7 macrophagocyte.Yu-Hui Zhang Liang-Hua Xia Jia-Mei Jin Ming Zong Ming Chen Bo Zhang 2015Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2015,8,3:4
14In vitro Selection of DNA Aptamers and Fluorescence-Based Recognition for Rapid Detection Listeria monocytogenes显示文摘Aptamers are specifi c nucleic acid sequences that can bind to a wide range of nucleic acid and non-nucleic acid targets with high affi nity and specifi city. Nucleic acid aptamers are selected in vitro from single stranded DNA or RNA ligands containing random sequences of up to a few hundred nucleotides. Systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment(SELEX) was used to select and PCR amplify DNA sequences(aptamers) capable of binding to and detecting Listeria monocytogenes, one of the major food-borne pathogens. A simplifi ed affi nity separation approach was employed, in which L. monocytogenes in exponential(log) phase of growth was used as the separation target. A fl uorescently-labeled aptamer assay scheme was devised for detecting L. monocytogenes. This report described a novel approach to the detection of L. monocytogenes using DNA aptamers. Aptamers were developed by nine rounds of SELEX. A high affi nity aptamer was successfully selected from the initial random DNA pool, and its secondary structure was also investigated. One of aptamers named e01 with the highest affi nity was further tested in aptamer-peroxidase and aptamer-fl uorescence staining protocols. 15Hepatoprotective ability of tetramethylpyrazine produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens显示文摘Tetramethylpyrazine(TTMP),an important aroma compound,was produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens XJB-104 with distillers’grains as raw material.The yield of TTMP under optimized fermentation procedure was 3176.52 mg/L.TTMP in the fermentation broth was purified and the purity(>99%)was measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.Furthermore,the hepatoprotective activity of TTMP in ethanol-water system was evaluated by biochemical indicators of liver injury,parameters of antioxidant defense system and inflammatory response,and liver histopathological assessment in mice.Ethanol treatment increased serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phos-phatase and lactate dehydrogenase,suggesting liver damage.Both high and low dose of TTMP significantly decreased levels of these indicators.Furthermore,the reduction in the activities or concentrations of superoxide dismutase,catalase,reduced glutathione and malondialdehyde in liver tissue caused by ethanol was significantly alleviated by TTMP.Increased inflammatory cytokines including transcription factor,tumor necrosis factor,interleukin-1beta,interleukin,macrophage chemoattractant protein,inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase were also suppressed by TTMP treatment.It is concluded that TTMP in ethanol-water system has potential liver-protective activity,especially when ethanol is consumed at low doses for short periods of time.Wenqing Zhang Guanru Si Zhiming Rao Shuai Zong Jinglei Li Xian Zhang Chuanqiang Gao Zhou Ping Ming Ye 2021Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2021,1,2:4

18Shape and position of Earth's bow shock near-lunar orbit based on ARTEMIS data显示文摘Earth's bow shock is the result of interaction between the supersonic solar wind and Earth's magnetopause. However, data limitations mean the model of the shape and position of the bow shock are based largely on near-Earth satellite data. The model of the bow shock in the distant magnetotail and other factors that affect the bow shock, such as the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF) B_y, remain unclear. Here, based on the bow shock crossings of ARTEMIS from January 2011 to January 2015, new coefficients of the tail-flaring angle a of the Chao model(one of the most accurate models currently available) were obtained by fitting data from the middle-distance magnetotail(near-lunar orbit, geocentric distance -20R_E>X>-50R_E). In addition, the effects of the IMF B_y on the flaring angle a were analyzed. Our results showed that:(1) the new fitting coefficients of the Chao model in the middle-distance magnetotail are more consistent with the observed results;(2) the tail-flaring angle a of the bow shock increases as the absolute value of the IMF B_y increases. Moreover, positive IMF B_y has a greater effect than negative IMF B_y on flaring angle. 20MAGI3 Suppresses Glioma Cell Proliferation via Upregulation of PTEN Expression显示文摘Objective To investigate the role and molecular mechanism of membrane-associated guanylate kinase inverted 3(MAGI3) in glioma cell proliferation. Methods The expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were assessed in glioma samples by Western blotting. MAGI3 was stably transfected into C6 glioma cells to obtain C6-MAGI3 cells. Then, the proliferation, the expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN, and Akt phosphorylation were evaluated in C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells. Xenograft tumor models were established by subcutaneous injection of C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells into nude mice, and the growth rates of xenografts in the mice were compared. The potential role of MAGI3 expression in PI3K/Akt signaling activation was further investigated by examining the correlation between MAGI3 expression and the expression of PI3K/Akt signaling downstream target genes in a glioma dataset using gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA). Results Expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were significantly downregulated in gliomas. Overexpression of MAGI3 in the glioma C6 cell line upregulated PTEN protein expression, inhibited the phosphorylation of Akt, and suppressed cell proliferation. MAGI3 overexpression also inhibited the growth of C6 glioma tumor xenografts in nude mice. Analysis based on the GEO database confirmed the negative correlation between activation of PI3K/Akt pathway and MAGI3 mR NA levels in human glioma samples. Conclusion The loss of MAGI3 expression in glioma may enhance the proliferation of glioma cells via downregulation of PTEN expression, leading to the activation of the PI3K/Akt pathway.
