1Growth and characterization of 2-inch high quality β-Ga2O3 single crystals grown by EFG method显示文摘β-Ga_2O_3 is an ultra-wide band-gap semiconductor with promising applications in UV optical detectors,Schottky barrier diodes, field-effect transistors and substrates for light-emitting diodes. However, the preparation of large β-Ga_2O_3 crystals is undeveloped and many properties of this material have not been discovered yet. In this work, 2-inch β-Ga_2O_3 single crystals were grown by using an edge-defined film-fed growth method. The high quality of the crystal has been proved by high-resolution X-ray diffraction with 19.06 arcsec of the full width at half maximum. 2A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 3Glycyrrhetinic acid binds to the conserved P-loop region and interferes with the interaction of RAS-effector proteins显示文摘Members of the RAS proto-oncogene superfamily are indispensable molecular switches that play critical roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and cell survival. Recent studies have attempted to prevent the interaction of RAS/GTP with RAS guanine nucleotide exchange factors(GEFs), impair RASeffector interactions, and suppress RAS localization to prevent oncogenic signalling. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of the natural triterpenoic acid inhibitor glycyrrhetinic acid, which is isolated from the roots of Glycyrrhiza plant species, on RAS stability. We found that glycyrrhetinic acid may bind to the P-loop of RAS and alter its stability. Based on our biochemical tests and structural analysis results, glycyrrhetinic acid induced a conformational change in RAS. 4Recent developments in multimodality fluorescence imaging probes显示文摘Multimodality optical imaging probes have emerged as powerful tools that improve detection sensitivity and accuracy, important in disease diagnosis and treatment. In this review, we focus on recent developments of optical fluorescence imaging(OFI) probe integration with other imaging modalities such as X-ray computed tomography(CT), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), positron emission tomography(PET), single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT), and photoacoustic imaging(PAI). The imaging technologies are briefly described in order to introduce the strengths and limitations of each techniques and the need for further multimodality optical imaging probe development. The emphasis of this account is placed on how design strategies are currently implemented to afford physicochemically and biologically compatible multimodality optical fluorescence imaging probes. 5Decoupling optimization of integrated energy system based on energy quality character显示文摘Connections among multi-energy systems become increasingly closer with the extensive application of various energy equipment such as gas-fired power plants and electricity-driven gas compressor.Therefore,the integrated energy system has attracted much attention. 6Biosynthesis of gold nanoparticles by Trichoderma sp.WL-Go for azo dyes decolorization显示文摘Developing an eco-friendly approach for metallic nanoparticles synthesis is important in current nanotechnology research. In this study, green synthesis of gold nanoparticles(AuNPs) was carried out by a newly isolated strain Trichoderma sp. WL-Go. UV–vis spectra of Au NPs showed a surface plasmon resonance peak at 550 nm, and transmission electron microscopy images revealed that the Au NPs were of varied shape with well dispersibility.The optimal conditions for Au NPs synthesis were HAuCl_4 1.0 mmol/L, biomass 0.5 g and pH 7–11. Moreover, the bio-Au NPs could efficiently catalyze the decolorization of various azo dyes. 7MiR146a-loaded engineered exosomes released from silk fibroin patch promote diabetic wound healing by targeting IRAK1显示文摘Unhealable diabetic wounds need to be addressed with the help of newer,more efficacious strategies.Exosomes combined with biomaterials for sustained delivery of therapeutic agents are expected to bring new hope for chronic wound treatment.Here,the engineered exosomes modified for efficiently loading miR146a and attaching to silk fibroin patch(SFP)were demonstrated to promote diabetic wound healing.Silk fibroin binding peptide(SFBP)was screened through phage display,and SFBP-Gluc-MS2(SGM)and pac-miR146a-pac fusion protein were constructed.The designed exosomes(SGM-Exos,miR146a-Exos,and SGM-miR146a-Exos)were isolated from the engineered placental mesenchymal stem cells(PMSCs)transduced with SGM or/and pac-miR146a-pac protein.Gluc signals indicated SGM-Exo@SFP markedly increased the binding rate and the stability of SGM-Exo.Moreover,the loading efficiency of miR146a in SGM-miR146a-Exos was ten-fold higher than that in miR146a-Exos.Superior to untreated,SGM-miR146a-Exo-only treated,and SFP-only treated groups,SGM-miR146a-Exo@SFP drived wound healing associated with less inflammation,collagen deposition,and neovascularization.The transcriptomics analysis suggested anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects with SGM-miR146a-Exo@SFP treatment.Here,we show efficient exosome@biomaterial-based miRNA delivery systems for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.Qiankun Li Wenzhi Hu Qilin Huang Jie Yang Bingmin Li Kui Ma Qian Wei Yaxi Wang Jianlong Su Mengli Sun Shengnan Cui Rungong Yang Haihong Li Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,3:2

9An integrated spectroscopic strategy to trace the geographical origins of emblic medicines: Application for the quality assessment of natural medicines显示文摘Emblic medicine is a popular natural source in the world due to its outstanding healthcare and therapeutic functions.Our preliminary results indicated that the quality of emblic medicines might have an apparent regional variation.A rapid and effective geographical traceability system has not been designed yet.To trace the geographical origins so that their quality can be controlled,an integrated spectroscopic strategy including spectral pretreatment,outlier diagnosis,feature selection,data fusion,and machine learning algorithm was proposed.A featured data matrix(245220)was successfully generated,and a carefully adjusted RF machine learning algorithm was utilized to develop the geographical traceability model.The results demonstrate that the proposed strategy is effective and can be generalized.Sensitivity(SEN),specificity(SPE)and accuracy(ACC)of 97.65%,99.85%and 97.63%for the calibrated set,as well as 100.00%predictive efficiency,were obtained using this spectroscopic analysis strategy.Our study has created an integrated analysis process for multiple spectral data,which can achieve a rapid,nondestructive and green quality detection for emblic medicines originating from seventeen geographical origins.Luming Qi Furong Zhong Yang Chen Shengnan Mao Zhuyun Yan Yuntong Ma 2020Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,4:1

11Novel neutrophil extracellular trap-related mechanisms in diabetic wounds inspire a promising treatment strategy with hypoxia-challenged small extracellular vesicles显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)have been considered a significant unfavorable factor for wound healing in diabetes,but the mechanisms remain unclear.The therapeutic application of small extracellular vesicles(sEVs)derived from mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)has received considerable attention for their properties.Hypoxic preconditioning is reported to enhance the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived sEVs in regenerative medicine.Therefore,the aim of this study is to illustrate the detailed mechanism of NETs in impairment of diabetic wound healing and develop a promising NET-targeting treatment based on hypoxic pretreated MSC-derived sEVs(Hypo-sEVs).Excessive NETs were found in diabetic wounds and in high glucose(HG)-induced neutrophils.Further research showed that high concentration of NETs impaired the function of fibroblasts through activating endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.Hypo-sEVs efficiently promoted diabetic wound healing and reduced the excessive NET formation by transferring miR-17-5p.Bioinformatic analysis and RNA interference experiment revealed that miR-17-5p in Hypo-sEVs obstructed the NET formation by targeting TLR4/ROS/MAPK pathway.Additionally,miR-17-5p overexpression decreased NET formation and overcame NET-induced impairment in fibroblasts,similar to the effects of Hypo-sEVs.Overall,we identify a previously unrecognized NET-related mechanism in diabetic wounds and provide a promising NET-targeting strategy for wound treatment.Ziqiang Chu Qilin Huang Kui Ma Xi Liu Wenhua Zhang Shengnan Cui Qian Wei Huanhuan Gao Wenzhi Hu Zihao Wang Sheng Meng Lige Tian Haihong Li Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:1

15Stage Features and Influence Factors of Urbanization in Hainan显示文摘Hainan has witnessed rapid urbanization since the early twenty-fi rst century. To defi ne development stages and dominant factors of urbanization, this paper adopted such quantitative research methods as principal component analysis(PCA) and regression analysis, established a composite index system including population, land use, economic and social factors, and investigated urbanization process of Hainan Province using SPSS19.0. The results showed that the comprehensive influence obtained from the composite index system has had increasing impact on the urbanization of Hainan since 2000, and showed obvious stage features. 16Extended wet sieving method for determination of complete particle size distribution of general soils显示文摘The traditional standard wet sieving method uses steel sieves with aperture?0.063 mm and can only determine the particle size distribution(PSD)of gravel and sand in general soil.This paper extends the traditional method and presents an extended wet sieving method.The extended method uses both the steel sieves and the nylon filter cloth sieves.The apertures of the cloth sieves are smaller than 0.063 mm and equal 0.048 mm,0.038 mm,0.014 mm,0.012 mm,0.0063 mm,0.004 mm,0.003 mm,0.002 mm,and 0.001 mm,respectively.The extended method uses five steps to separate the general soil into many material sub-groups of gravel,sand,silt and clay with known particle size ranges.The complete PSD of the general soil is then calculated from the dry masses of the individual material sub-groups.The extended method is demonstrated with a general soil of completely decomposed granite(CDG)in Hong Kong,China.The silt and clay materials with different particle size ranges are further examined,checked and verified using stereomicroscopic observation,physical and chemical property tests.The results further confirm the correctness of the extended wet sieving method.Shengnan Ma Yi Song Jiawei Liu Xingyu Kang Zhongqi Quentin Yue 2024Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,1:0

18Single-cell transcriptome reveals core cell populations and androgen-RXFP2 axis involved in deer antler full regeneration显示文摘Deer antlers constitute a unique mammalian model for the study of both organ formation in postnatal life and annual full regeneration.Previous studies revealed that these events are achieved through the proliferation and differentiation of antlerogenic periosteum(AP)cells and pedicle periosteum(PP)cells,respectively.As the cells resident in the AP and the PP possess stem cell attributes,both antler generation and regeneration are stem cell-based processes.However,the cell composition of each tissue type and molecular events underlying antler development remain poorly characterized.Here,we took the approach of single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-Seq)and identified eight cell types(mainly THY1^(+)cells,progenitor cells,and osteochondroblasts)and three core subclusters of the THY1^(+)cells(SC2,SC3,and SC4).Endothelial and mural cells each are heterogeneous at transcriptional level.It was the proliferation of progenitor,mural,and endothelial cells in the activated antler-lineage-specific tissues that drove the rapid formation of the antler.We detected the differences in the initial differentiation process between antler generation and regeneration using pseudotime trajectory analysis.These may be due to the difference in the degree of stemness of the AP-THY1+and PP-THY1^(+)cells.We further found that androgen-RXFP2 axis may be involved in triggering initial antler full regeneration.Fully deciphering the cell composition for these antler tissue types will open up new avenues for elucidating the mechanism underlying antler full renewal in specific and regenerative medicine in general.Hengxing Ba Xin Wang Datao Wang Jing Ren Zhen Wang Hai-Xi Sun Pengfei Hu Guokun Zhang Shengnan Wang Chao Ma Yusu Wang Enpeng Wang Liang Chen Tianbin Liu Ying Gu Chunyi Li 2022Cell Regeneration2022,11,1:0
