Crust and Upper Mantle Electrical Resistivity Structure in the Panxi Region of the Eastern Tibetan Plateau and Its Significance显示文摘The Panxi region is located in the frontal zone of positive squeezing subduction and side squeezing shearing between the Indian plate and the Eurasian plate. The long-period magnetotelluric(LMT) and broadband magnetotelluric(MT) techniques are both used to study the deep electrical conductivity structure in this region; magnetic and gravity surveys are also performed along the profile. According to the 2-D resistivity model along the Yanyuan-Yongshan profile,a highconductivity layer(HCL) exists widely in the crust, and a high-resistivity block(HRB) exists widely in the upper mantle in general,as seen by the fact that a large HCL exists from the western Jinpingshan tectonic zone to the eastern Mabian tectonic zone in the crust, while the HRB found in the Panxi tectonic zone is of abnormally high resistivity in that background compared to both sides of Panxi tectonic zone. In addition, the gravity and magnetic field anomalies are of high value. Combined with geological data, the results indicate that there probably exists basic or ultrabasic rock with a large thickness in the lithosphere in the Panxi axial region, which indicates that fracture activity once occurred in the lithosphere. As a result,we can infer that the high-resistivity zone in the Panxi lithosphere is the eruption channel for Permian Emeishan basalt and the accumulation channel for basic and ultrabasic rock. The seismic sources along the profile are counted according to seismic record data. The results indicate that the most violent earthquake sources are located at the binding site of the HRB and the HCL,where the tectonic activity zone is generally acknowledged to be; however, the earthquakes occurring in the HCL are not so violent, which reflects the fact that the HCL is a plastic layer, and the fracture threshold of a plastic layer is low generally, making high stress difficult to accumulate but easy to release in the layer. As a result,a higher number of smaller earthquakes occurred in the HCL at Daliangshan tectonic zone, and violent earthquakes occurred at the binding site of high- and low-resistivity blocks at the Panxi tectonic zone. | ZHANG Gang WANG Xuben FANG Hui GUO Ziming ZHANG Zhaobin LUO Wei CAI Xuelin LI Jun LI Zhong WU Xing | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,2: | 9
Nine compounds from the root bark of Lycium chinense and their anti-inflammatory activities显示文摘Two new compounds, named lyciumlignan D(1) and lyciumphenyl propanoid A(2), along with seven known compounds, were isolated from the root bark of Lycium chinense. Their structures were elucidated using spectroscopic data(UV, IR, HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR, CD), as well as by comparison with those of the literature. Compounds 3–9 were isolated from this genus for the first time. In the in vitro assay, compounds 3, 6, and 7 exhibited stronger anti-inflammatory effects than the positive control curcumin at a concentration of 10 μmol/L. | Yanan Yang Yawen An Wei Wang Ning Du Jinghua Zhang Ziming Feng Jianshuang Jiang Peicheng Zhang | 2017 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2017,7,4: | 9
Oscillation of Surface PM2.5 Concentration Resulting from an Alternation of Easterly and Southerly Winds in Beijing: Mechanisms and Implications显示文摘We used simultaneous measurements of surface PM_(2.5) concentration and vertical profiles of aerosol concentration, temperature, and humidity, together with regional air quality model simulations, to study an episode of aerosol pollution in Beijing from 15 to 19 November 2016. The potential effects of easterly and southerly winds on the surface concentrations and vertical profiles of the PM_(2.5) pollution were investigated. Favorable easterly winds produced strong upward motion and were able to transport the PM_(2.5) pollution at the surface to the upper levels of the atmosphere. The amount of surface PM_(2.5) pollution transported by the easterly winds was determined by the strength and height of the upward motion produced by the easterly winds and the initial height of the upward wind. A greater amount of PM_(2.5) pollution was transported to upper levels of the atmosphere by upward winds with a lower initial height. The pollutants were diluted by easterly winds from clean ocean air masses. The inversion layer was destroyed by the easterly winds and the surface pollutants and warm air masses were then lifted to the upper levels of the atmosphere, where they re-established a multi-layer inversion. This region of inversion was strengthened by the southerly winds, increasing the severity of pollution. A vortex was produced by southerly winds that led to the convergence of air along the Taihang Mountains. Pollutants were transported from southern–central Hebei Province to Beijing in the boundary layer. Warm advection associated with the southerly winds intensified the inversion produced by the easterly winds and a more stable boundary layer was formed. The layer with high PM_(2.5) concentration became dee-per with persistent southerly winds of a certain depth. The polluted air masses then rose over the northern Taihang Mountains to the northern mountainous regions of Hebei Province. | Zhaobin SUN Xiaoling ZHANG Xiujuan ZHAO Xiangao XIA Shiguang MIAO Ziming LI Zhigang CHENG Wei WEN Yixi TANG | 2018 | Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,2: | 3

CuO nanoflowers/copper fiber felt integrated porous electrode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘The structure of current collectors has significant effects on the performance of a lithium-ion battery(LIB).In this study,we use copper fiber felts made by multi-tooth cutting and high-temperature solid-phase sintering as the current collector for LIBs.An integrated porous electrode based on CuO nanoflowers/copper fiber felt is developed for the anode. Results suggest that the reversible capacity and cycle stability of this new anode are significantly improved, compared with the pristine bare-surface copper plate under the same condition of rate cycles. The new anode structure based on the copper-fiber felt with a porosity of 60%exhibits a higher performance with an initial specific capacity of 609.5 mAh g^(-1)and retains 486.1 mAh g^(-1)after 200 cycles at a current density of 0.5 C.The improved electrochemical performance of this electrode is attributed to its large surface area of CuO nanoflowers and porous structure of the copper fiber felt, due to enhanced contact between the active material of CuO nanoflowers and electrolyte. This pore-rich structure makes the electrolyte easy to permeate into the electrode, shortens the diffusion path of Li^(+),reduces the internal resistance and alleviates the volume expansion of the active material during the insertion and desertion processes of Li^(+). | YUAN Wei YE YinTong YANG Yang ZHANG XiaoQing PAN BaoYou PENG ZiMing WU MuLun QIU ZhiQiang WANG Chun YUAN YuHang YAN ZhiGuo TANG Yong | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11: | 1
Topological phases in pyrochlore thallium niobate Tl_(2)Nb_(2)O_(6+x)显示文摘The discovery of new topological electronic materials brings a chance to uncover new physics.Up to now, many materials have been theoretically proposed and experimentally proved to host different kinds of topological states.Unfortunately, there is little convincing experimental evidence for the existence of topological oxides. The reason is that oxidation of oxygen leads to ionic crystal in general and makes band inversion unlikely. In addition, the realization of different topological states in a single material is quite difficult, but strongly needed for exploring topological phase transitions. | Wei Zhang Kaifa Luo Zhendong Chen Ziming Zhu Rui Yu Chen Fang Hongming Weng | 2019 | npj Computational Materials2019,,1: | 0
Antibacterial hydroxyapatite coatings on titanium dental implants显示文摘Titanium and its alloys are often used as substrates for dental implants due to their excellent mechanical properties and good biocompatibility. However, their ability to bind to neighboring bone is limited due to the lack of biological activity. At the same time, they show poor antibacterial ability which can easily cause bacterial infection and chronic inflammation, eventually resulting in implant failure. The preparation of composite hydroxyapatite coatings with antibacterial ability can effectively figure out these concerns. In this review, the research status and development trends of antibacterial hydroxyapatite coatings constructed on titanium and its alloys are analyzed and reviewed. This review may provide valuable reference for the preparation and application of high-performance and multi-functional dental implant coatings in the future. | Ziming Liao Jingxuan Li Yimeng Su Fenyan Miao Xiumei Zhang Yu Gu Jingjing Du Ruiqiang Hang Yan Wei Weiyi Chen Di Huang | 2023 | Frontiers of Materials Science2023,17,1: | 0

COVID-19 induces new-onset insulin resistance and lipid metabolic dysregulation via regulation of secreted metabolic factors显示文摘Abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism in COVID-19 patients were recently reported with unclear mechanism. In this study,we retrospectively investigated a cohort of COVID-19 patients without pre-existing metabolic-related diseases, and found new-onset in suli n resista nee, hyperglycemia, and decreased HDL-C in these patie nts.Mecha nistically,SARS-CoV-2 infecti on in creased the expression of RE1-silencing transcription factor(REST),which modulated the expression of secreted metabolic factors including myeloperoxidase, apelin, and myostatin at the transcriptional level, resulting in the perturbation of glucose and lipid metabolism.Furthermore, several lipids,including(±)5-HETE,(±)12-HETE,propionic acid, and isobutyric acid were identified as the potential biomarkers of COVID-19-induced metabolic dysregulation, especially in insulin resistance.Taken together, our study revealed insulin resistance as the direct cause of hyperglycemia upon COVID-19,and further illustrated the underlying mechanisms, providing potential therapeutic targets for COVID-19-induced metabolic complications. | Xi He Chenshu Liu Jiangyun Peng Zilun Li Fang Li Jian Wang Ao Hu Meixiu Peng Kan Huang Dongxiao Fan Na Li Fuchun Zhang Weiping Cai Xinghua Tan Zhongwei Hu Xilong Deng Yueping Li Xiaoneng Mo Linghua Li Yaling Shi Li Yang Yuanyuan Zhu Yanrong Wu Huichao Liang Baolin Liao Wenxin Hong Ruiying He Jiaojiao Li Pengle Guo Youguang Zhuo Lingzhai Zhao Fengyu Hu Wenxue Li Wei Zhu Zefeng Zhang Zeling Guo Wei Zhang Xiqiang Hong Wei kang Cai Lei Gu Ziming Du Yang Zhang Jin Xu Tao Zuo Kai Deng Li Yan Xinwen Chen Sifan Chen Chunliang Lei | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,1: | 0

Molecular phylogeny of European and African Barbus and their West Asian relatives in the Cyprininae(Teleostei:Cypriniformes)and orogenesis of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The phylogenetic relationships of European and African Barbus and their West Asian relatives in Cyprininae remain largely unresolved.Consequently, little is known about the drivers of their evolution, including the possible association of uplifting of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP)with the early divergence of the subfamily. We use complete sequence data of the mitochondrial DNA gene encoding the protein cytochrome b(Cytb)to hypothesize the phylogeny of 85 species belonging to 47 genera in the Cyprininae plus 6 species from the Leuciscinae. We employ 6 other species from Cypriniformes as outgroup taxa and estimate divergence times. Our results indicate that European Barbus sensu stricto lineage including Aulopyge shares a common ancestor with specialized and highly specialized schizothoracins and the genera Cyprinion and Scaphiodonichtys. The common ancestor appears to have originated in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP)region about 19.4–17.8 Ma.Barbus sensu stricto lineage appears to have originated about 16.6–15.5 Ma.Small to medium sized African Barbus sensu lato appear to have had an Oriental origin about 19.1–15.3 Ma and are closely related to Asian Puntius.West Asian Carasobarbus lineage including large African Barbus sensu lato might have originated about 9.94 Ma,also in Oriental Realm and has a close relationship to Asian Neolissochilus and Tor.The large-sized Barbus sensu lato appear to have diverged from Carasobarbus about 7.7 Ma.Finally, the Cyprininae appear to have radiated rapidly into nine lineages and many sublineages from about 27.8 to 17.8 Ma,close to the time of the second-stage tectonic movements of the QTP.Our analyses provide evidence that the uplifting of the QTP drove early diversification of the Cyprininae. Our extensive sampling of species involving all of the important areas results in clear evolutionary scenario for the Cyprininae. | WANG Jing WU XiaoYun CHEN ZiMing YUE ZhaoPing MA Wei CHEN ShanYuan XIAO Heng MURPHY Robert W ZHANG YaPing ZAN RuiGuang LUO Jing | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,31: | 0
6-17 Research Progress of High Energy Electron Radiography显示文摘High Energy Density Physics (HEDP) aims to study the properties of matter under extreme states of temperatureand pressure. The pressure in a high energy density sample exceeds 1 Mbar (100 GPa), thus the hydrodynamicresponse of the sample is a high expansion velocity in the range of km/s (m/ns). Therefore, diagnostics which arecapable of high time resolution (< ns) and space resolution (10 m) are needed. High Energy Electron Radiography(HEER) is a new method suitable for HEDP research that uses a high energy electron beam as a probe for timeresolved imaging measurements of high energy density processes in materials. The device uses an electron bunchtrain with a flexible time structure penetrating a time varying high density target. The electron bunch-lets, eacha few ps long and with charges nC is suitable, traverses the HEDP target where the electrons are scattered bythe nuclei. The angular distribution depends on the density and thickness of the target. The scattered electronsthen travel through the point-to-point imaging lattice with a suitable magnification. A small aperture is used tocollimate the scattered electron beam for off axis particles and bremsstrahlung photons, and the target image willbe detected by a luminescent screen located after the imaging lattice, as shown in the Fig. 1. | Cao Shuchun Zhang Ziming Shen Xiaokang Zhao Quantang Liu Ming Wang Yanru Zong Yang Zhang Xiaoming Li Zhongping Xiao Rongqing Jing Yi Wei Gai | 2014 | IMP & HIRFL Annual Report2014,,1: | 0
