| 1 | 20 Years Advances in Preparation of Potassium Salts from Potassic Rocks:A Review显示文摘Long-term research on key techniques of clean utilization of potassic rocks from over twenty localities has been performed to settle the shortage of soluble potassium resources in China. The results show that K-feldspar as the principal mineral enriched in potassium could be decomposed in the media of Ca(OH)_2, NaOH, KOH-H_2O solution via hydrothermal treatment, into tobermorite, hydroxylcancrinite, and kalsilite respectively. By further processing, these compounds are feasible for being as slow-release carrier of potassium nitrate, extracting alumina, and preparing farm-oriented fertilizers of potassium sulphate and nitrate. Correspondingly, the filtrate is KOH,(Na, K)_2SiO_3, and K_2SiO_3 solution, from which potassium carbonate, sulphate, nitrate, and phosphate could be easily fabricated. As NaO H and KOH are recycled in the processing chains by causticizing sodium and/or potassium metasilicate solutions, the hydrothermal alkaline techniques as developed in this research have several advantages as lower consumption of disposable mineral resources and energy, maximized utilization of potassic mineral resources, as well as clean productions etc. Based on the approaches presented in this paper, the technical system of efficiently utilizing insoluble potassium resources has been established. | 2 | The IAA-and ABA-responsive transcription factor CgMYB58 upregulates lignin biosynthesis and triggers juice sac granulation in pummelo显示文摘In citrus,lignin overaccumulation in the juice sac results in granulation and an unpleasant fruit texture and taste.By integrating metabolic phenotyping and transcriptomic analyses,we found 702 differentially expressed genes(DEGs),including 24 transcription factors(TFs),to be significantly correlated with lignin content.CgMYB58 was further identified as a critical R2R3 MYB TF involved in lignin overaccumulation owing to its high transcript levels in Huanong Red-fleshed pummelo(HR,Citrus grandis)fruits.Transient expression of CgMYB58 led to an increase in the lignin content in the pummelo fruit mesocarp,whereas its stable overexpression significantly promoted lignin accumulation and upregulated 19 lignin biosynthetic genes.Among these genes,CgPAL1,CgPAL2,Cg4CL1,and CgC3H were directly modulated by CgMYB58 through interaction with their promoter regions.Moreover,we showed that juice sac granulation in pummelo fruits could be affected by indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)and abscisic acid(ABA)treatments.In HR pummelo,ABA significantly accelerated this granulation,whereas IAA effectively inhibited this process.Taken together,these results provide novel insight into the lignin accumulation mechanism in citrus fruits.We also revealed the theoretical basis via exogenous IAA application,which repressed the expression of CgMYB58 and its target genes,thus alleviating juice sac granulation in orchards. | Meiyan Shi Xiao Liu Haipeng Zhang Zhenyu He Hongbin Yang Jiajing Chen Jia Feng Wenhui Yang Youwu Jiang Jia-Long Yao Cecilia Hong Deng Juan Xu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Microstructure, cold rolling, heat treatment, and mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloys显示文摘The magnesium-lithium (Mg-Li) alloy exhibits two phase structures between 5.7wt% and 10.3wt% Li contents, consisting of the α (hcp) Mg-rich and the β (bcc) Li-rich phases, at room temperature. In the experiment, Mg-5Li-2Zn, Mg-9Li-2Zn, Mg-16Li-2Zn, Mg-22Li-2Zn, Mg-5Li-2Zn-2Ca, Mg-9Li-2Zn-2Ca, Mg-16Li-2Zn-2Ca, and Mg-22Li-2Zn-2Ca (wt%) were melted. During the melting process, the flux, which was composed of lithium chloride (LiCl) and lithium fluoride (LiF) in the proportion of 3:1 (mass ratio) and argon gas were used to protect the alloys from oxidation. The microstructure, mechanical properties, and cold-rolling workability of the wrought alloys were studied. The crystal grain of the alloys (adding Ga) is fine. The hardness of the studied alloys decreases with an increase in element Li. The density of the studied alloys is in the range of 1.187 to 1.617 g/cm3. The reduction of the Mg-16Li-2Zn and Mg-22Li-2Zn alloys can exceed 85% at room temperature. The Mg-9Li-2Zn-2Ca alloy was heat treated at 300°C for 8, 12, 16, and 24 h, respectively. | 10 | Lowing the energy loss of organic solar cells by molecular packing engineering via multiple molecular conjugation extension显示文摘The central unit(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole) in Y6 series of molecules plays a determining role in their unique intermolecular packing for a three-dimensionally(3D) network, largely endowing their organic solar cells(OSCs) with so far the best power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) and also largely suppressed energy losses(Eloss). Despite its vital role in molecular packing, very few explorations for central unit have been conducted due to possibly the constructing challenge of central heterocyclic units.Herein, a highly efficient acceptor-donor-acceptor(A-D-A) type electron acceptor, CH17, has been designed and constructed,featured with a prominent π extension in both directions of the central and end units with respect to Y6 series. Such a multiple and much enhanced conjugation extension in CH17 enables a much more effective and compact 3D molecular packing compared with that of Y6 supported by X-ray single crystal and other analysis, mainly caused by a newly observed distinctive dual “end unit to central unit” packing mode. This much favorable molecular packing, also kept in its blends with donor materials, leads a larger electron and hole transfer integrals and hence much improved charge transport, and reduced energetic disorders in CH17blends. More importantly, the observed upshifted charge transfer(CT) state of CH17 blends compared with that of Y6, due to its increased molecular conjugation extension in both directions, further enhances the hybridization between its CT and local exciton(LE) states, resulting in higher luminescence efficiency, much suppressed non-radiative recombination loss and smaller Elosswith respect to that of Y6. Consequently, an excellent PCE of 17.84% is achieved with PM6 as the donor in a binary device compared with a PCE of 16.27% for the controlled Y6 device. Furthermore, a further improved PCE of 18.13% is achieved by CH17-based ternary single-junction OSCs along with a markedly reduced Elossof 0.49 e V and larger open-circuit voltage(Voc) of0.89 V, compared with that(16.27% of PCE, 0.85 V of Voc, and 0.53 e V of Eloss) of the control device using Y6.
