1Phosphate removal and recovery through crystallization of hydroxyapatite using xonotlite as seed crystal显示文摘Xonotlite was synthesized and tested for phosphate removal and recovery from synthetic solution in a batch mode. The effects of pH, initial calcium concentration, bicarbonate concentration on phosphate removal through crystallization were examined. The morphology and X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of xonotlite before and after crystallization confirmed the formation of crystalline hydroxyapatite. The results indicated that the crystallization product had a very high P content (> 10%), which is comparable to phosphate rock at the dosage of 50-200 mg xonotlite per liter, with a maximum P content of 16.7%. The kinetics of phosphate removal followed the second-order reaction equation. The phosphate removal ability increased with increasing pH. The precipitation of calcium phosphate took place when pH was higher than 7.2, whereas the crystallization occurred at pH 6.0. A high calcium concentration could promote the removal of phosphate via crystallization, while a high bicarbonate concentration also enhanced phosphate removal, through that the pH was increased and thus induced the precipitation process. When xonotlite was used to remove phosphate from wastewater, the removal effciency could reach 91.3% after 24 h reaction, with removal capacity 137 mg/g. 3Safety assessment of approximate segregated parallel operation on closely spaced parallel runways显示文摘With the continuous growth of air traffic flow, some airports in China or other countries begin to construct Closely Spaced Parallel Runways(CSPR) to meet the capacity requirement of civil aviation. In this paper, the simulation and calculation method of flight trajectory is developed,as well as the collision risk calculation method and wake vortex encounter risk calculation method.New methods for departure and go-around procedures are proposed to achieve approximate segregated parallel operation in an attempt to obtain approximately the same results on closely spaced parallel runways as on widely spaced parallel runways. By comparing with the independent parallel departure and segregated parallel operation in ICAO Doc. 9643, it is found that the lateral separation between aircraft in this proposal is not less than the separations in the other two cases. Based on the simulation calculation of flight trajectories under different conditions, the probabilities of collision conflict and encountering wake vortex are lower than those in current operation plan.The proposed plan has no special requirements in pilot operation, control command procedures,airport facilities, or meteorological observation and prediction, so it is convenient to promote and implement at the airports with closely spaced parallel runways.Fei LIU Xinze LIU Mingjiang MOU Zhiqiang WEI 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,2:9

6Use of zeolitized coal fly ash in the simultaneous removal of ammonium and phosphate from aqueous solution显示文摘Discharge of wastewater containing nitrogen and phosphate can cause eutrophication.Therefore,the development of an efficient material for the immobilization of the nutrients is important.In this study,a low calcium fly ash and high calcium fly ash were converted into zeolite using the hydrothermal method.The removal of ammonium and phosphate that coexist in aqueous solution by the synthesized zeolites were studied.The results showed that zeolitized fly ash could efficiently eliminate ammonium and phosphate at the same time.Saturation of zeolite with Ca^(2+)rather than Na+favored the removal of both ammonium and phosphate because the cation exchange reaction by the NH_(4)^(+)resulted in the release of Ca2+into the solution and precipitation of Ca^(2+)with PO_(4)^(3−)followed.An increase in the temperature elevated the immobilization of phosphate whereas it abated the removal of ammonium.Nearly 60%removal efficiency for ammonium was achieved in the neutral pH range from 5.5 to 10.5,while the increase or decrease in pH out of the neutral range lowered the adsorption.In contrast,the removal of phosphate approached 100%at a pH lower than 5.0 or higher than 9.0,and less phosphate was immobilized at neutral pH.However,there was still a narrow pH range from 9.0 to 10.5 favoring the removal of both ammonium and phosphate.It was concluded that the removal of ammonium was caused by cation exchange;the contribution of NH3 volatilization to immobilization at alkaline conditions(up to pH level of 11.4)was limited.With respect to phosphate immobilization,the mechanism was mainly the formation of precipitate as Ca_(3)(PO_(4))_(2) within the basic pH range or as FePO_(4) and AlPO_(4) within acidic pH range.WU Deyi HU Zhanbo WANG Xinze HE Shengbing KONG Hainan 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,2:2
7Variation of phytoplankton community before an induced cyanobacterial(Arthrospira platensis) bloom显示文摘A cyanobacterial (Arthrospira platensis) bloom was induced in situ by nutrient manipulation in an enclosure. The succession of the phytoplankton community and the water chemistry variations before the appearance of bloom, as well as their relationship, were investigated. The cell pigment variations were studied simultaneously. The Pearson's correlation analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between water chemistry and green algal or cyanobacterial composition, indicating that water chemistry variations were not suitable to be used as indicators for cyanobacterial-bloom early-warning. However, the diversity index of the phytoplankton community decreased sharply before the bloom appeared. Therefore, the dynamics of phytoplankton community was put forward to be an indicator for cyanobacterial-bloom early-warning. 9Comparison ofβ-Amyloid Plaque Labeling Methods:Antibody Staining,Gallyas Silver Staining,and Thioflavin-S Staining显示文摘Objective To evaluate senile plaque formation and compare the sensitivity of three differentβ-amyloid(Aβ)labeling methods(antibody staining,Gallyas silver staining,and thioflavin-S staining)to detect Aβdeposition.Methods APPswe/PSEN1dE9 transgenic mice(APP/PS1)of different ages were used to examine spatiotemporal changes in Aβplaque deposition.Antibody staining,Gallyas silver staining,and thioflavin-S staining were used to detect Aβplaque deposition in the same brain region of adjacent slices from model mice,and the results were compared.Results With aging,Aβplaques first appeared in the cortex and then the deposition increased throughout the whole brain.Significantly greater plaque deposition was detected by 6E10 antibody than that analyzed with Gallyas silver staining or thioflavin-S staining(P<0.05).Plaque deposition did not show significant difference between the APP/PS1 mice brains assayed with Gallyas silver staining and ones with thioflavin-S staining(P=0.0033).Conclusions The APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease could mimick the progress of Aβplaques occurred in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.Antibody detection of Aβdeposition may be more sensitive than chemical staining methods.Xinze Shi Xuan Wei Longze Sha Qi Xu 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3:1

12Self-Assembling Peptide as a Candidate Carrier for 5-Fluorouracil显示文摘The potential application of a designed self-assembly peptide CH3CO-Pro-Thr-Phe-CysPhe-Lys-Phe-Glu-Pro-NH2(named as P1) as a carrier of 5-Fluorouracil(5-Fu) for controlled release in vitro was studied. 5-Fluorouracil(5-Fu) was selected as a representative anticancer drug due to its extensive use in treating digestive system cancer and breast cancer. The interaction between P1 and 5-Fu was detected by fluorescent quenching experiments and atomic force microscopy(AFM). The quenching mechanism of 5-Fu and P1 system was dynamic by performing fluorescent quenching experiments at different temperatures. The thermodynamic analysis demonstrated that the interaction between 5-Fu and P1 was hydrophobic interaction. The complexes prepared by the interaction between peptide and 5-Fu appeared as large granular particles of about 20 nm in height under AFM(denoted as5-Fu-P1), 24 times larger than the original 5-Fu particles. According to the results, an interaction model was proposed. Furthermore, 5-Fu-P1 complexes exhibited an efficient controlled release of 5-Fu in vitro. 13Super-resolution of Solar Magnetograms Using Deep Learning显示文摘Currently,data-driven models of solar activity forecast are investigated extensively by using machine learning.For model training,it is highly demanded to establish a large database which may contain observations coming from different instruments with different spatio-temporal resolutions.In this paper,we employ deep learning models for super-resolution(SR)of magnetogram of Michelson Doppler Imager(MDI)in order to achieve the same spatial resolution of Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager(HMI).First,a generative adversarial network(GAN)is designed to transfer characteristics of MDI onto downscaled HMI,getting low-resolution HMI magnetogram in the same domain as MDI.Then,with the paired low-resolution and high-resolution HMI magnetograms,another GAN is trained in a supervised learning way,which consists of two streams,one is for generating high-fidelity image content,the other is explicitly optimized for generating elaborate image gradients.Thus,these two streams work together to guarantee both high-fidelity and photorealistic super-resolved images.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can generate super-resolved magnetograms with perceptual-pleasant visual quality.Meanwhile,the best PSNR,LPIPS,RMSE,comparable SSIM and CC are obtained by the proposed method.The source code and data set can be accessed via http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asvw5wubqkqkox6qwv.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/filterbank/SPSR.Fengping Dou Long Xu Zhixiang Ren Dong Zhao Xinze Zhang 2022Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,8:1
14Adaptive spraying decision system for plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle based on reinforcement learning显示文摘To solve the problem of lacking scientific guidance in aerial pesticide application,this study introduced an adaptive spraying decision system(ASDS)for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)spraying to guide the operators of plant protection UAVs to set reasonable spraying parameters under complicated environment.The minimum applied volume rate,proper spraying velocity,spraying height,and initial droplet size were recommended by the ASDS.The key factor of the decision system is the decision model of reinforcement learning based on the actor-critic neural network.In specific,the field experimental data were used to train the critic and actor networks,which made the model adaptive to optimize the output of spraying parameters.Compared with the conventional spraying parameters,the spraying parameters recommended by the ASDS had a positive impact on wheat parcels.The decision results of the ASDS showed that the spraying volume rate was lower in the blocks with a small leaf area index.In addition,the spraying volume rate for the whole parcel was reduced by 14%.After UAV spraying,the uniformity of the droplet deposition in the ASDS parcel was better than that in the conventional parcel.Moreover,the penetrability of the droplets and the control efficacy for the brown wheat mite Petrobia latens(Muller)were similar in the two parcels.The ASDS can recommend the optimal spraying parameters to minimize pesticide application.Ziyuan Hao Xinze Li Chao Meng Wei Yang Minzan Li 2022International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,4:1
